Allison Williams Gets Topless, Says She’s A Horrible Cook

Allison Williams has never been afraid to bare her skin on the hit HBO show Girls, and she brought that fearlessness to print recently when she posed topless for Harper’s Bazaar. The actress–and daughter of news anchor Brian Williams–opened up about her personal style, her fashion icons, and what she’s worst at in the world.

“Clothes are fun— it’s dress-up for adults. I’d like to call my style easy, timeless, and rustic preppy (if that’s a thing), which most often translates as endless button-downs, a chic pair of boots, a good variety of sweaters, and my staple—jeans,” Williams said.

Williams has seen her career take off with the success of Girls, and these days her busy schedule keeps her from tackling things she’d like to get a handle on…like cooking. Allison says she’s “the worst” in the kitchen and usually just orders in to keep from creating a disaster.

“I am the world’s worst cook. Not only am I bad at it, but I also have some kind of inability to learn. When I cook, the salad is done first and is soggy by the time you eat, the pasta is al dente, but not in a good way. And I’m perpetually worried that the meat is going to poison everyone, so it ends up being black. It’s a nightmare, so I just order in,” Williams says.

Williams has stayed relatively quiet about the recent scandal involving her father, Brian, who was the anchor on NBC’s Nightly News for years until questions came to light about some of the stories he’s told about his past. After a much-talked-about suspension, Williams resurfaced several months later on MSNBC, where rumor has it he’s begun to make changes behind the scenes.

“Brian has been going to town at MSNBC. He’s dictating personnel changes,” a source told Page Six.
