Steve Jobs, 1955-2011: Twitter Remembers An Icon

Steve Jobs has died at the age of 56 from a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Twitter has been a place all evening for people to share what Jobs meant to them – how his inventions have changed the way we live and how his legacy will always be that of a visionary.

While reading tweets from my friends, as well as celebrities and influential members of the tech community, it struck me that the ultimate testament to Steve Jobs’ legacy might be the fact that so many people are expressing their thoughts about the man on some of the devices he worked so hard to bring to the public – the iPhone, iPad and of course the Mac.

That, and the fact that many of us also learned of his passing on one of those devices.
