Peaches Geldof Funeral Set for Easter Monday

It’s been over a week since 25-year-old Peaches Geldof died suddenly, and the world still doesn’t know anymore about the cause than they did the day she passed. But we do know, however, when she will be laid to rest.

The daughter of Sir Bob Geldof’s funeral is scheduled for Easter Monday at St. Mary Magdalene and St. Lawrence Church in Davington, near Faversham, Kent. This is the same place that both she and her mother, Paula Yates, were married, and where Yates’ ashes were spread. The location is also close to her father’s country home, in which Peaches spent much time as a child.

Peaches unexpectedly died at her home in Kent on April 7. She was at home watching one of her two sons when her husband, musician Tom Cohen, became concerned and had the police break into the home, where they found her dead.

An autopsy was performed on Peaches, but the results came back as inconclusive regarding the cause of her death. The results of the toxicology test are still pending.

Family and friends of Peaches were shocked at her sudden passing, as there seemed to be no clues that the socialite was sick. She was active on social media just days prior to her death, posting pictures of herself and her children. Her Instagram page has since been taken down at the request of her family.

Her father released this statement regarding her passing.

“We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is it possible that we will not see her again?”

Prior to her death, Peaches had been reportedly making plans to move to Australia and become a part of Australia’s Next Top Model. She is survived by her husband and two young children, Astala and Phaedra. Peaches also has three sisters – Fifi Trixibelle, Tiger Lily and Pixie.
