Jaimie Alexander Praises “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

Jaimie Alexander is known for her portrayal of Thor’s childhood friend named Lady Sif during appearances in Thor and Thor: The Dark World. The brunette actress recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about bringing the well-known Lady Sif to the hit television show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and explained her enthusiasm for being involved in such a popular show.

When questioned about her excitement to be on the show, Alexander responded, “Very, very excited. I love playing Lady Sif, and just to be able to get to explore her even further was just such a treat for me.”

Alexander shared glowing remarks about the cast members and claims that she felt welcomed by the hospitable group, particularly by fan favorite and Avengers star Clark Gregg.

“The first day I was at work, Clark kind of whispered at me, and he said “come here.” And I said, “what?!” And he gave me this folded up shirt that he shoved into my hand, and he was like, “this is for you.” And he walked away, and I looked at it, and it was an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tee-shirt. I think Clark himself and Agent Coulson are both slightly fanboy-ish, so it was so much fun to do these scenes with him and see his face. I mean, sometimes, I would say something to him, and he would be mouthing my lines kind of in boy wonder. It’s about the sweetest thing you’ll ever see. We cracked up so many times, all of us in all of the scenes would just start laughing at some point, and then we’d have to start over. But it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time working on something, and those people really are one of a kind,” Alexander said.
