Las Vegas Hotels: Britney Spears’ Sin City Christmas

If you’re one of Britney Spears’ millions of Twitter followers, you likely already know about the two hour I Am Britney Jean special airing on E! tonight.

You probably also know the pop icon is about to kick off her Vegas show in less than a week.

And you’ve got a special Mark David Chapman sort of affinity for her, you may also have known long before I did that she’s starting a residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Las Vegas for the next couple of years. In fact, you’re probably seeking vacancies in the vicinity for suitable star stalking hotels right now, aren’t you?

That’s okay. Don’t be ashamed. Britney would totally approve of fans flocking to see her Piece of Me performance. In fact, she just held a contest last month to fly winners out for a two day stay via her “MTV Presents: Up Close and Personal With Britney Jean” contest, as part of a campaign to better connect artists and their fans.

“From the beginning of my career MTV has always brought me together with my fans,” Spears said. “This is another really cool way and I can’t wait to see the winner at the front row of my show.”

Before this coruscating extravaganza ensues, however, those closest to Britney will be coming out to see her first. According to sister Jamie Lynn Spears, the star and her family will be spending the holidays in Sin City. “We are actually going to go to Vegas and the whole family is going to be there,” Jamie Lynn told MTV news.

Despite the recent cover Jamie Lynn did of her sister’s pop hit Oops I Did It Again, she claims that she’ll just be sitting this round out. Her plan is to attend the show solely for sisterly support and avoid any on-stage appearances. Jamie Lynn says, “I’m just there to be a cheerleader and that’s kind of intimidating. I don’t know how to dance.”

Die hard followers who hope to “cheer” on their Queen Bee too, may want to do it sooner rather than later. Spears has admitted she’s contemplated retiring in the past. She states, “I have thought about it, but I think right now is my time to perform and doing what I’m doing,”

The takeaway for any faithful fans still sans tickets or lodgings?

“You’d better book, b*tch!”
