Vin Diesel Visits With Paul Walker’s Family For Support

Everyone involved with the Fast And Furious movies have been mourning Paul Walker over the past week, and getting through it in different ways. As the 7th film was currently in production and the cast has all been together for such a long time, it has been very hard on the cast.

Vin Diesel was especially hurt by the death of his friend and co-star. Recently, he revealed that he was filled with such emotion that he went to Paul Walker’s family for support. He got on a plane to visit Walker’s parents as soon as he heard the news of the tragic accident.

After arriving in California with Walker’s family, he realized that while he went there to console them, he was the one who really needed their support. Speaking on the interaction, Vin Diesel said “I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs.”

Several other co-stars of Paul Walker’s have spoken up about their friend since his death including Jordana Brewster, his love interest in the film, calling him a big part of her life.

Paul Walker died in a car crash on November 30th, and while details have been coming out surrounding his death all week, his autopsy has revealed that he died from thermal injuries that were brought on after the collision.

The Fast And The Furious franchise was launched in 1999, and the cast has all become close friends over the long period of working together, each taking their turn to pay tribute to their friend. Vin Diesel became closer to Walker than anyone, and he was even referred to as his other half by his mother.

Over the past week, Diesel has opened about his emotions involving the incident, and continues to pay tribute to his friend. Days before sharing the story about Walker’s family, he addressed fans in a touching speech following a private memorial service at the crash site.

In a touching and emotional way, upon seeing Walker’s mother, Vin Diesel was told that she was so sorry. In the post that he continued on Facebook, the 46-year-old actor wrote “His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry… I said sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?… She said yes, but you lost your other half…”

Paul Walker’s family was able to console a grieving Vin Diesel, and they were lucky to have each other in the wake of his death. Diesel posted a picture of himself with Walker along with the emotional news about how he met with his parents on Facebook.
