Yahoo announced that it has rebranded Lexity as Yahoo Commerce Central, and that this is now broadly available for all Yahoo Merchant Solutions customers and those using over 30 other platforms like Magento, Shopify and others.

Yahoo announced its acquisition of Lexity in July.

“With Commerce Central, small business owners will now have access to a one-stop location to get powerful and easy-to-use tools and apps capable of providing easily actionable insights, generating new customers, increasing conversion, and improving processes that can help increase sales, efficiency, and profitability,” a spokesperson for Yahoo tells WebProNews. “These tools – provided through an easy-to-navigate App Gallery – can be incorporated into a merchant’s store without complex coding or developer support, which allows users to spend more time running their business rather than focusing on the technical implementation details. Users can subscribe to multiple applications, created by Yahoo or partner developers, and manage them all in one place so it’s easy to evaluate the effectiveness of each tool.”

The Live Insights app will also be available to merchants on participating platforms. This will let users get real-time customer tracking and access to personalized marketing recommendations, interact in real time with visitors, find top keywords, referring sites, etc., and get access to further industry benchmark-based recommendations.

Yahoo has a developer portal available for the Commerce Central platform. This can be used for writing, testing and publishing ecommerce apps.
