Cable channel AMC brought in huge ratings with the second season finale of its popular zombie apocalypse drama. The episode brought in 9 million viewers which is a 51% increase from the season 1 finale and is a cable ratings record. It’s also a good bit more than the previously record-breaking 8 million people who tuned in for the mid-season premier back in February.

In addition to the inevitable blood and gore, fans of the comic books should be excited by the arrival of a new character, Michonne. The character will be played by actress Danai Gurira and will presumably feature prominently in the next season of the show.

Don’t know what to watch now that The Walking Dead is over for another season? Well, AMC is bringing back Mad Men just in time. Here’s their Walking Dead-inspired trailer to get you excited.
