Tami Roman: “Basketball Wives” Star Survives Heart Attack

Tami Roman, wife of NBA player Kenny Anderson and one of the stars of the VH1 show “Basketball Wives”and former “Real World” star, has suffered a heart attack, her publicist confirmed today.

In a statement released to VH1, Roman’s condition was described as mild and reads that she has been released from the hospital.

“FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NYC, New York- Last night, Tami Roman was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a medical emergency.
She has since been released and would like to let her fans and supporters know she is doing fine and looks forward to resuming her scheduled engagements. She will also be back on Twitter communicating with her followers shortly.”

Roman confirmed that she did indeed suffer a heart attack via Twitter after tweeting that she wasn’t feeling well.

Most people over the age of 28 remember Tami from an infamous incident on the second season of MTV’s “The Real World” which involved a male housemate pulling a blanket off of her while she was less than fully clothed. Another roommate compared the incident to rape, and things escalated until the housemate was asked to leave.
