  • Gwen Stefani and Hubby Welcome New Baby Apollo

Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale welcomed their third son into the world on Friday. Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale has two big brothers–Kingston, who is 7, and Zuma, who is 5. The No Doubt lead singer and Bush frontman are hands on parents and are often spotted on outings with their boys.

It was back in 2012 when Stefani shared a bit of heartache, fearing she and Rossdale would never have a third child. She hinted at a traumatic experience at the time, which many took to mean she may have suffered a miscarriage.

“I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn’t really work out,” she said back then during an interview with Marie Claire, without going into specifics. “So. . . I feel good with what we’ve got. Everything works out how it should. You can’t plan anything, right? You can try.”

On February 8th a star-studded shower not only rained gifts on Gwen Stefani and her husband in honor of the impending birth, it also celebrated the upcoming arrival, for which the mom-to-be was clearly very excited.

Proud dad Gavin Rossdale tweeted word of their new son’s name.

No one can ever say that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale didn’t choose unique names for their three boys. They definitely followed that decades-old Hollywood trend of providing their children with most unusual monikers. At least none of them is called Apple.

It wasn’t so long ago that Gwen Stefani thought she might have a baby girl, and would have to hand over the crown of exclusivity in her all male household. It seems she will get to hang on to it after all, and no doubt (no pun intended) will do so very happily. She shared the following Instagram photo when she learned several weeks back that was was in fact carrying a boy.

Congrats are certainly in order for Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale on the birth of their new baby boy, Apollo. He is likely in for a life of music, travel, and excitement in his male dominated but happy home.

Gwen Stefani: It’s A Boy for the Third Time

Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale are expecting their third boy. The No Doubt singer shared her news on Instagram Friday. She was ready to hand over being queen of the household if she was in fact carrying a baby girl, but that simply wasn’t to be. She shared a photo with her fans and a caption that read, “I was ready to hand over the crown, but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys”

It’s uncertain if this third baby boy will be the last try for Rossdale and Stefani or if perhaps they will try once again, in hopes of adding a little girl to their growing family. The couple has been married for 11 years. Their two sons, Kingston and Zuma, are seven and five years old, respectively. Gwen Stefani is 44 years old and Gavin Rossdale is 48, so it would certainly seem their baby making days wouldn’t continue too many more years into the future.

Gwen Stefani admitted recently that juggling a career and a family isn’t always easy. In addition to her band, she is also a fashion designer. She finds that the older her boys get, the harder it is to keep up with all of the requirements of parenting.

“Like, Oh, my God, they have school, they have to get through first grade, they have to learn to read. It starts getting so serious, and you’re like, Aaaaaaah!” she says.

Given the kind of hands on parents that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are (they are frequently spotted with both boys in tow, headed to a park or out for an afternoon walk) they will do just fine–even with adding a third child to the mix. It will certainly be interesting to see what they name this newest member of their family, since Kingston and Zuma have very unique names.

  • Zuma’s Revenge! Coming To XBLA This Summer

Zuma’s Revenge! Coming To XBLA This Summer

While PopCap may be focusing more of their efforts on the Facebook and social market, they haven’t forgotten game consoles. That’s why they’re finally getting around to releasing a 2-year-old game on Xbox Live Arcade.

PopCap Games announced today that Zuma’s Revenge!, sequel to XBLA hit Zuma, would be coming to the service this summer. The sequel expands upon the original game by adding new features that expand the original game into new territory. The list of features include:

    – Extend your gameplay experience in the new and exclusive Boss Rush and Weekly Challenge game modes
    – Enjoy updated 2012 gameplay: No more lives, no more checkpoints and no more game over
    – Discover and befriend 4 all-new Spirit Animal companions
    – Earn Spirit Badges on every level and use them to power up your Spirit Animals
    – Dominate your friends on a whopping 74 leaderboards
    – Experience remastered HD graphics
    – Unlock 20 Xbox LIVE achievements
    – Flaunt 2 tiki-themed awards for your Xbox LIVE avatar

Removing the risk of failure and calling it “updated 2012 gameplay” irks me to no end, but that’s another rant for another day. The rest of the features seem to jive with what modern console gamers want out of their puzzle games, especially the leaderboards.

If you’re new to Zuma and it’s admittedly addictive gameplay, check out the launch trailer for the PC version. Just image it’s in hi-def with some shiny new bells and whistles. Zuma’s Revenge hits XBLA this summer for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
