  • Foo Fighters And Other Bands Set To Perform On Super Bowl Weekend

Quite a lineup of musicians is being set up to play on a cruise ship during the weekend of the Super Bowl. Foo Fighters is one of the bands that have been selected to headline the event, and will play on the final day of the event, along with Zac Brown Band.

In addition to the Foo Fighters, other artists are set perform on the cruise including Imagine Dragons, The Roots, who will be joined by Run-DMC and Busta Rhymes.

It will be a big deal for all of the different musicians to be united in one place, and as they are playing during the weekend of the Super Bowl, they are guaranteed to bring in a large amount of fans.

A wide variety of music will be offered for fans to see, as these groups span from rock to rap to country to pop. This also marks the second time that Foo Fighters and Zac Brown Band have teamed up together, and so recently.

The bands will hit the stage on the Bud Light Hotel New York, a stage that will be docked at Pier 88 in Manhattan on the Hudson River. The Super Bowl will be played close by at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Each of the concerts will lead up to the big event, the Super Bowl, which is being held on February 2nd. For the first time in history, the Super Bowl is scheduled to be played in a cold weather state without a dome.

The news of the snow is causing people to think about changing the date of the game because of the harsh and snowy weather conditions that are already being predicted, courtesy of the Farmer’s Almanac.

The musical series will start off with The Roots on January 30th, followed by Imagine Dragons a day later. Foo Fighters will be the headliner, supported by Zac Brown Band. Bruno Mars is the musician scheduled to perform the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

In addition to the Foo Fighters, and the other musical guests that will be featured throughout the days leading up to the Super Bowl, the cruise ship will offer lodging for 4,000 guests in 1,900 staterooms for fans that wish to see their favorite musicians performing on a cruise ship.

  • Zac Brown Band to Perform in Super Bowl Concert

Since the Zac Brown Band hit the big stage in 2009, success and acclaims have become a routine part of life. The band has produced 9 number one singles on the Billboard charts from its 5 albums and has also been nominated for 55 awards from the Grammys, Country Music Television, Country Music Association, American Music Awards, and the Academy of Country Music, taking home 8 awards total. It is the latest news from the Zac Brown Band that has affirmed its national status as one of the best bands today.

That news, of course, is that the Zac Brown Band will be a featured band at the Bud Light Hotel concert series preceding this year’s Super Bowl. The Bud Light Hotel concert series will be held from January 30 through February 2, the day of the Super Bowl.

The Zac Brown Band will perform on Super Bowl’s Eve and will share the stage with rock legend Dave Grohl and his band, the Foo Fighters. This will not be the first time the two bands have teamed up. Just last week, the Zac Brown Band released its second EP, entilted The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1. As one can properly guess, the album has something to do with Dave Grohl.

That something is the fact that Dave Grohl actually produced the Zac Brown Band’s latest EP, something Zac Brown was and is terribly excited about: “Dave is a musical genius. It’s been amazing to play with him on stage and get to spend time working with him in the studio. We are excited for fans to hear the music we’ve been able to create together.”

The Zac Brown Band and the Foo Fighters will not be the only bands playing the Bud Light Hotel concert series. On January 30, The Roots will help to get the party started (No, Pink is not joining them.) with “The Roots Present Hip Hop NYC,” an event featuring other artists such as Busta Rhymes and RUN DMC. The next night, Bud Light will host, “Pandora Presents,” with leading act Imagine Dragons. To finish the festivities, Bud Light will invite Fall Out Boy and country star Jake Owens to the stage to kick-off pregame festivities.

“We’ve brought together a world-class lineup of concerts that features some of the biggest names in the industry – including Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons and The Roots – and pays tribute to New York City’s impact on music and culture. With the help of our amazing partners, EA SPORTS, Pandora and Pepsi, this year’s Bud Light Hotel will stand apart as one of the premier destinations for Super Bowl week entertainment,” stated Rob McCarthy, vice president of Bud Light.

If anything is certain pertaining to this year’s Super Bowl, it’s that the musical acts will be far better than those geriatric acts featured post-Janet Jackson nipple slip (acts which have included Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Who, and Bruce Springsteen).

  • Dave Grohl Joins Zac Brown Band at CMAs

Dave Grohl started his meteoric rise to fame as the drummer in the grunge-rock group, Nirvana. After the loss of Kurt Cobain, Grohl fronted his own rock group, The Foo Fighters. Four of the seven albums that The Foo Fighters have released have won Grammy Awards for the Best Rock Album. Over the course of his career, Grohl has played with numerous other bands, such as Tenacious D, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Paul McCartney, and Cage the Elephant. Thus, it should honestly come as no surprise that Grohl has decided to foray into another musical group – the Zac Brown Band.

This is Grohl’s first official entrance into the country music world. Prior to this performance, Grohl had released a video with the Foo Fighters, titled “Hot Buns,” in which the group appeared as country-truckers, and Grohl had been a member of the pretend band, Sweetriver and the Huckleberry Dogs, for the Yahoo! web series, Ghost Ghirls.

During the Country Music Awards Wednesday night, however, Grohl took to the stage to play drums for the Zac Brown Band in the debut of their new song, “Day for the Dead.” The Atlanta, Georgia based band won the 2013 Grammy Award for best country album, Uncaged.

Perhaps their success as a hybrid country-rock-blues band is the reason why Grohl has decided to produce the Zac Brown Band’s next album: “I want to work with Dave Grohl. Dave Grohl is one of our musical heroes as a band, and he said that he would be interested in doing that, too,” Brown stated earlier this year.

Whatever the reason, the album is predetermined to not be a failure due to the fact that everything Grohl touches turns to gold. For a sneak-peak of what country music is set to become, check out the rocking performance from Grohl and the Zac Brown Band from Wednesday’s CMAs:
