  • Breaking Bad Gets a Requiem For a Dream Video Tribute

No other show matches Breaking Bad in grit and intensity, at least on cable television. Now the fifth and final season is upon us. To celebrate (and to prepare for next season), we present to you a video that matches the intensity of Breaking Bad with an equally intense movie in Requiem For a Dream. This video gives us a great recap of the first four seasons, set to the score and editing style of Requiem For a Dream. YouTube user Jswinney1 put it together masterfully, so enjoy.

Spoilers — This whole video can be classified as a spoiler, so if you haven’t kept up with the show and plan to, don’t watch. For those that follow the show intensely, this is an awesome recap.

The final season of Breaking Bad aires July 15th and will consist of 16 episodes. The first eight air this Summer and the final eight next Summer. Where I’m from they call that two seasons, but AMC is billing it as one split over two years.

  • Cat and Mouse Make Amends: Hug it Out

Cat and Mouse Make Amends: Hug it Out

In a final resolution to the age old struggle between cats and mice. A mouse has recently cuddled up to a sleeping cat in an attempt to make amends for his existence. The cat, perhaps worn-out physically and emotionally from years on the mouse-war front, wraps his arm around the submissive critter, saying “there, there… I’m sorry for ever chasing you. And I love you very much.”

The video is from petsami, who has lots of funny pet related clips on their YouTube channel. The “mouse” in this video is actually a baby rat, but you get the idea. It’s ludicrously cute. It’s so cute you may have to punch a baby to restore order to the universe.

Other videos from petsami, include this one of a cat enjoying a neck massage.

OR this one of a pug walking on a treadmill with his hind legs.

You can decide for yourself if this is real or not…

  • PAC-MAN Fan Film Deserves to Become a Full Length Feature

The video starts out with a sexy reporter covering a series of unexplained power outages that continue throughout the state of Nevada. She moves on to say that the source of the outages is believed to be the Maze Compound, which lies 600 feet below the desert’s surface.

The secrecy surrounding the purpose of the facility has led many people to speculate about the research that is going on within its confines. Especially Project Yellow Sphere.

The news shows documents that suggest the compound has been developing remote controlled weapons technology in connection to artificial intelligence.

The camera then pans to the Maze Compound where scientists and military officials are experimenting in Tron-like environments with PAC-MAN at its center.

One of the most interesting points in the video is the spin on PAC-Man’s purpose. It is revealed that the organism is a “polymorphic, autonomous, compound manipulator programmed to seek out, catch, and consume e-hazards … like oils spills and reactive leaks.”

This revelation definitely opens the flood gates for PAC-MAN to be come an eco-friendly super hero and protector of the earth.

I would love to see a full-length movie script birthed from this scene. It could definitely become a summer blockbuster.
