  • Ashley Judd Releases Statement On Tracking Device

Ashley Judd released a statement on Wednesday regarding the tracking device she found on her car, but she didn’t go into detail about who is responsible or why.

News broke earlier this week that Judd’s sister, country star Wynonna, had placed the device on her car because of a “custody battle” between the two, though it’s not clear who is at the center of that battle. Judd filed a police report after a teenager who was driving her vehicle discovered the device through a repair shop. The GPS tracker was registered to a private detective named Janice Diane Swafford-Holt, who is allegedly in Wynonna Judd’s employ.

Ashley Judd said in a statement on her blog that since the news broke, the media has caused problems for law enforcement officials in her Tennessee town.

“The issue at hand is the illegal violation of my privacy in that a tracking device was secretly and unlawfully placed on my vehicle,” she wrote. “For my safety and that of everyone around me, I naturally filed a police report, as any citizen would and should. The media is unfortunately aggressively pursuing and publishing details, some of which should be private and confidential, such as my cell phone number, in their attempt to create salacious and divisive “news.” Our police station and town hall are being barraged with phone calls and emails, diverting them from their priorities in law enforcement and civic management, and taxpayer dollars are being wasted as well. A very fine career detective has been suspended for a moment of poor judgment for succumbing to media invasiveness. It is my, and everyone’s, responsibility to take routine action when any law is broken. I hope the law enforcement officials can continue to do their jobs in spite of media speculation, pressure and poor conduct. Thank you.”

Wynonna Judd has not released a statement on the incident yet.

  • Wynonna Judd: Did She Spy on Sister Ashley Judd?

Wynonna Judd reportedly put a tracking device on sister Ashley Judd’s car in an effort to spy on her. This is according to Ashley, who claims as much in legal documents she recently filed. In the report filed just last month, her mechanic in Tennessee found a wireless GPS tracking device on her car. She believes Wynonna is behind it being placed there.

The report continues, saying that Wynonna hired a private investigator to tail Ashley. The P.I. gave Wynonna Judd the tracking device. She supposedly had her ex-husband Arch Kelley put it on Ashley’s Mini Cooper. Kelley denies any knowledge of such a tracking device. Wynonna was supposedly spying on Ashley because of an ongoing custody feud over Wynonna’s daughter Grace.

It’s no secret that things have always been a bit tense between Ashley Judd and her sister Wynonna, but this really takes the cake. Earlier in 2013, Wynonna went on record saying her relationship with her sister has always been rocky. She acknowledged that the two women are very different, but admitted to genuinely loving her sister.

Wynonna Judd is now married to drummer Michael Scott ‘Cactus’ Moser, with whom she tied the knot back in June of 2012. He suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident shortly after their wedding.

The investigation into Wynonna Judd spying on Ashley Judd is presently listed as ‘inactive,’ and reps for both women have declined to make any comment on the subject. That sort of leads people to believe something is definitely going on. While most families don’t ever experience a sister spying on a sister–this is the Judd family. And as anyone who has followed Wynonna, Ashley and Naomi Judd knows–things are anything but conventional where their family life is concerned.

  • Ashley Judd: Did Sister Wynonna Put A Tracking Device On Her Car?

Ashley Judd is reportedly accusing her sister, country star Wynonna Judd, of having a GPS tracking device placed on her car without her knowledge.

Details surrounding the strange case are scant right now, but it apparently involves a minor and a custody battle that has been ongoing between the sisters. The teenager reportedly drove the car, a Mini Cooper, to a repair shop in early November and discovered that a large plastic box had been placed beneath it that contained a GPS device. The GPS was registered to a private investigator in Nashville by the name of Janice Diane Swafford-Holt, head of Legal Legs Nashville Private Investigation Firm.

Wynonna Judd allegedly asked Swafford-Holt to purchase the device with instructions to watch the teenager, but it’s not known why. Her ex-husband, Arch Kelley, has also been insinuated in the incident as the person who planted the device, but he has denied all involvement.

    “I don’t have a clue,” Kelley said. “I don’t know a thing about it.”

A police report was filed, but no charges have been brought against anyone in the case yet.

Judd has had quite a bumpy year; after announcing a separation from husband Dario Franchitti in January, she flew to Houston to be by his side after a horrific crash in October.

  • Wynonna Judd Talks Husband’s Near Death Experience

Newlyweds should not have to worry about near-death experiences. They shouldn’t have to spend their honeymoon in a hospital, and they shouldn’t have to be concerned about whether or not their partner will ever be able to walk again. Even though all of these things shouldn’t happen to a newly married couple, it is exactly what happened to Wynonna Judd and her husband, Michael “Cactus” Moser.

Two months after the couple shared their vows, Moser was in a terrible motorcycle accident that led to him having his leg amputated. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Judd described the details of the accident, and how she actually witnessed his leg shatter all over the road.

It was the best day…70 degrees, beautiful sky, we have a gig that night…loving each other and a Harley ride with friends and just this beautiful open space in South Dakota. Roads for miles. Wind in the hair, he’s ten feet in front of me and it went from that to, the sound like a tornado that you never forget. I will never forget that smell nor that sound coming from two vehicles colliding, and me going on past him thinking, ‘Is he alive or dead? I have no idea. I dropped my bike and I run back and he’s just lying there. I hear nothing. And then I heard the most beautiful sound on earth and that is him breathing. And I got on my belly and looked right in his eyes ’cause I knew if he closed his eyes that he would bleed out and that was it. I was 10 feet behind him when the accident happened and I saw the leg shatter and go all over the road.

Judd immediately jumped to action and decided, from then on, she would be the one to nurse him back to health.

“You just feel so helpless. All you can do is hold his hand or tell him a story or just be there,” Judd said. “I became his nurse, my glasses at the end of my nose, pushing saline up into the gaping wounds and wrapping them. I became a nurse like my mother. I went from wearing the cute newlywed clothes to wearing cotton that had crap all over it, hair in a ponytail, and rolling up my sleeves for the man I love. The bottom line is it makes [you] or breaks you. You realize that you’re bonded in a life. When I said I do, I never dreamed I would go through as much as I did as soon as I did.”

Judd says that nothing will ever come between them and describes their relationship as “bulletproof”. Although she didn’t think they would be at their worse only two months into their marriage, Judd says that she vowed to stand by her husband for better or for worse, and that is what she has been doing.

“It made us so strong that I dare anyone to try and come between us. We are almost bulletproof at this point. If it ever does fall apart, it’s because the two of us are not communicating. Nobody has come between us, not even our children,” she said. “When they say ‘your better half’ I would say I was his ‘other half.’ I would literally stand in the shower and be his left side. For better or for worse; I was thinking for better or for worse like when were eighty years old. I didn’t expect it to be two months into our marriage.”

  • Wynonna Judd Talks About Husband’s Near Death Wreck

Wynonna Judd recently discussed the details of her husband’s near-death motorcycle wreck that caused him to have his leg amputated only two months after their wedding. Wynonna’s husband is musician Michael “Cactus” Moser and she decided to open up about the details of the accident to ET in a recent interview.

“I will never forget that smell nor that sound coming from two vehicles colliding, and me going on past him thinking, ‘Is he alive or dead? I have no idea,’” she said. I dropped my bike and I run back and he’s just lying there. I hear nothing. And then I heard the most beautiful sound on earth and that is him [breathing.] And I got on my belly and looked right in his eyes ’cause I knew if he closed his eyes that he would bleed out and that was it. I was 10 feet behind him when the accident happened and I saw the leg shatter and go all over the road.”

The accident occurred on highway 16/365, near Hill City, SD when Moser accidentally drove out of his lane and hit a car in the other lane. Judd was riding with Moser on her own bike but was not involved in the accident. The driver of the car that collided with Moser’s bike was not injured.

Moser’s leg was so badly injured that it had to be amputated. The newlyweds wondered if he would ever walk again, but Wynonna said she was both happy and surprised when he was able to do so. Wynonna says that the accident and his recovery did make them closer as a couple, but it was very difficult for the two of them.

“It made us so strong that I dare anyone to try and come between us. We are almost bulletproof at this point. If it ever does fall apart, it’s because the two of us are not communicating. Nobody has come between us, not even our children,” she said. “When they say ‘your better half’ I would say I was [his] ‘other half.’ I would literally stand in the shower and be [his] left side. For better or for worse; I was thinking for better or for worse like when were eighty [years old]. I didn’t expect it to be two months into our marriage.”

  • Wynonna Judd’s Husband Loses Leg In Motorcycle Crash

Wynonna Judd, who only recently married husband Cactus Moser in June, is now at his side in a South Dakota hospital as he undergoes painful surgeries to repair the damage done in a motorcycle accident.

The couple were both riding bikes in Deadwood, South Dakota on August 18th when Moser crossed the center line and struck a car, throwing him from the bike. One of his legs was severed at the scene, and doctors later determined they would have to amputate above the knee. He has also endured surgery on his hand. The driver of the car was not injured, and Judd was not involved.

“The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I,” she said in a statement. “Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side.”

Moser apparently didn’t have a license to operate a motorcycle and has been citied for it, as well as for crossing the center line. Judd, meanwhile, has cancelled upcoming tour dates so she can remain at her husband’s side. Her Twitter account hasn’t been updated since the day of the accident; the last post involves a contest for concert-goers.

The shows affected by the accident were scheduled for Canada this week; her regular tour schedule can be found here.
