  • Linda Hogan Bitter Over Hulk’s $140 Million Win In Court, Calls It ‘Dirty Money’

Linda Hogan, Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife, is criticizing the former wrestler for taking “dirty money.” Hulk Hogan has won another $25 million in damages in relation to his multi-million dollar sex tape lawsuit against Gawker. The court initially awarded him $115 million after it was found that Gawker violated his right to privacy.

“It made me a little bit sick,” Linda recently told Inside Edition. “I don’t know how he can sleep at night getting that money for doing what he did in a roundabout way. It’s dirty money.”

Linda Hogan Is Disgusted by Hulk’s Court Victory

The former wrestler’s ex-wife was upset since the scandal happened while they were still married. Linda went on to say that she felt the court is awarding the wrestler-turned TV personality for his bad behavior.

Hulk Hogan sued Gawker for invasion of privacy after the media company uploaded his sex tape on the Internet. Hulk claimed the encounter between him and Heather Clem, Bubba “The Love Sponge’s” wife, was filmed without his knowledge. His then-best friend, Bubba “The Love Sponge,” a radio personality, allegedly recorded the video.

The wrestler sued Gawker founder Nick Denton and ex-editor A.J. Daulerio for $100 million, but the jury decided to add $15 million to the damages. He was reportedly awarded with $55 million for economic injuries and $60 million for emotional distress.

On Monday, after further deliberation, the jurors ordered Gawker to pay Hulk another $25 million in punitive damages – $15 million from Daulerio, Gawker’s then-editor and $10 million from Denton, the media company’s owner. The wrestler walked away with $140 million in total.

According to reports, the additional compensation was the court’s chance to warn media companies to be responsible for their news content.

Hulk Hogan, 62, and Linda Hogan, 56, ended their 25-year marriage in 2007.

  • Hulk Hogan Testifies Against Bubba ‘The Love Sponge’ Clem In $100 Million Sex Tape Lawsuit

American Wrestler Hulk Hogan gave his testimony on Monday for his $100 million invasion of privacy lawsuit against his best friend, Bubba “the Love Sponge” Clem and gossip website Gawker in relation to his 2006 sex tape.

Hogan told the jurors that Bubba the Love Sponge had been telling him that his wife wanted to have sex with him, although the wrestler thought it was just a joke. Hogan finally gave in to their advances during the time when he was going through his divorce.

“It was so weird and so crazy, my gut was telling me that this was off, this was wrong” Hulk Hogan testified. “From the feeling that I had, I said, ‘Bubba you’re not filming this are you?’… he lashed into me,” Hogan recounted.

Hogan said he and Bubba had been friends for over a decade. The radio personality was a godfather to his son, and he stood by him when his father passed away and when his marriage was on the rocks.

The wrestler said he was made aware of the sex tape when TMZ informed him of the circulating still images of the encounter. Hogan admitted that he was humiliated when the video of him having sex with his best friend’s wife was uploaded online. He was not aware that the radio personality was behind his sex video. When he learned that Bubba may have been involved in the publication of the tape, he said he “couldn’t quit shaking.”

Hulk Hogan also said his wife’s verbal abuse lowered his self-esteem, which made him take his best friend’s offer to sleep with his wife. However, he admitted he regretted doing it.

The jury will determine if Bubba – Todd Clem in real life – violated Hogan’s right to privacy when he published the explicit video in 2012.

  • The Hunt Is On For Hulk Hogan Shoe Thief [Video]

The Hunt Is On For Hulk Hogan Shoe Thief [Video]

Wrestling star Hulk Hogan is missing a $5,500 shoe.

It wasn’t just any shoe. Hogan once wore the white wrestling boot in the ring, and he has signed it with a permanent marker. The Steve Cardillo shoe was on display at Hogan’s shop in Clearwater, Florida until staff noticed it had gone missing on Tuesday. They checked the CCTV and reported the incident to the police.

Staff suspected a “heavyset woman in her 50s” had taken the shoe. The woman, possibly a tourist from Michigan, visited the shop along with three friends on Sunday afternoon, and took the shoe while the store workers were busy with something else.

According to the police report and based on the CCTV footage, four white females arrived at Hogan’s Beach Shop at 5:16pm on Sunday. Around four minutes after they came in, a large statue of the popular wrestling-star-turned-shop-owner fell over outside the store, distracting the staff. Clearwater Police believe this was the time when the woman swiped the shoe, valued at $5,500.

Hogan recently announced his return to WWE after six years of being away from the ring. Last month, the 60-year-old wrestler made an appearance at WWE Raw Backstage Pass, and will host the special anniversary show of WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans next month. He first entered the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) scene in 1985 back when it was still known as WWF (World Wrestling Federation), and expressed his excitement at being back.

Vince McMahon, WWE Chairman, was also thrilled to have “Hulkamania” as a big part of the anniversary program. He said that it was fitting for Hogan to celebrate 30 years of WrestleMania with them “and usher in a new era” with the launch of the new WWE Network.

Hulk Hogan was born Terry Gene Bollea. He won a total of 12 wrestling championships for the WWF/WWE and the WCW (World Championship Wrestling). He has several wrestling records under his belt, including being the all-time longest-reigning World Heavyweight Champion in WCW. He is also the first wrestler to win two consecutive Royal Rumbles (1990-1991).

Florida police are currently on the lookout for the shoe thief.

  • Maria Menounos, Extra Host, On 40 Pound Weight Loss

Maria Menounos, beautiful host of Extra, has recently appeared on the cover of Ladies’ Home Journal. She tells them about how she lost forty pounds in a year. Forty pounds! That is nearly the size of a toddler or approximately four Maru cats, for reference.

Menounos told LHJ that she did, in fact, grow up in a health-centered home. Her family stayed away from processed sugar. “I didn’t even know what bagels or waffles were until late in high school,” she told them. Dessert usually consisted of fruit.

However, when she started working in a doughnut shop at 13, everything changed. She gained weight every year, putting on more than forty pounds throughout high school and college. Without her family’s diabetes-guided diet (her father has Type 1), she started eating more and more chips, candy, and otherwise unhealthy food. “I felt sick and lethargic,” she told LHJ. That’s no fun at all!

Fortunately, post-college, Menounos snapped back to her roots. She started loading up her diet with healthy Greek yogurt, not surprising considering her Greek heritage. She also loaded up on filling watermelon, protein-filled eggs, and nutrient-rich kale. And, of course, chocolate! Never cut dessert, she says, and that is a sentiment we can all get behind. She recommends keeping track of diet and exercise, setting weight loss goals, and makes sure to consume calories in a healthy way, i.e. not in a shot glass. She also recommends combining vodka with soda water and lime, if one must drink, not with sugary juice or sodas.

She does, however, stay away from the scale. Judge by looseness of clothes, not pounds, unless you are severely tempted.

And, she reminds E!, thinner does not equal healthier.

The part-time professional wrestler’s advice is, really, perfectly reasonable and can give hope to many looking to lose as little as five or as many as forty pounds.

  • Scott Hall Arrest: Drugs, Alcohol Played Part In Domestic Violence

Professional wrestler Scott Hall, who was known in the ’90s as the villainous character Razor Ramon, was arrested on Friday after police were called to his Florida home on a domestic dispute call. His girlfriend, Lisa Howell, said Scott had been on a drinking binge for days and the two had an argument that escalated. She tried to leave, but the 6’7″ wrestler pulled her from her car by the throat. He was arrested after police found marks on Howell’s neck, but because he was so intoxicated he had to be taken to a local hospital to be checked out before police could book him.

Hall has had run-ins with the law before, and drugs and alcohol have been an issue for him for years. Unfortunately, this incident led to someone being hurt. Howell has so far refused to press charges.

WWE vice president of operations Stephanie McMahon says the company has spent thousands of dollars in an effort to get Hall clean, the most they have ever spent on anyone.

Hall built a career in a time when drugs and excess were the norm in the industry. More than that, wrestling in those days was about taking absurd risks with the body, jumping off the top rope without a thought to what it might do to the joints later in life, bashing against the turnbuckle in a way that made wrestling look easy but which really took a toll on the guys who did it. It was a true balls-to-the-wall spectacle, and the industry saw a huge boom in popularity in the early ’90s because of the wild attitude surrounding it.

Because of the soap-opera like dramatics that go along with it, wrestling is often not viewed as a “real” sport, but those who participate sacrifice their bodies in more ways than one; along with the residual pain that comes from taking hits every day comes the need to dull those aching bones, the inflamed joints. Drugs and alcohol become a way to go on with the show.

    Unfortunately, that also means dependence.

“I tell my kids this, ‘I can’t tell you not to drink and do drugs, they are fun. It’s fun. They work,’” Hall said in an interview with ESPN. “But what sucks is when you want to quit and you can’t, and pretty soon you alienate or you hurt everyone around you. It’s a family disease and then you can’t keep a promise to anybody. What sucks the most is when you can’t even keep a promise to yourself.”

While wrestling is still a dangerous occupation, the new generation of athletes aren’t quite so eager to put their bodies in the way of careless harm. Wrestling superstar Terry Bollea–or Hulk Hogan to most of you–says the attitude has definitely changed.

“Wrestlers have been more educated, more up to speed,” said Hogan. “I mean before, back in the day, you’d have the match at Madison Square Garden, the Boston Garden, all the wrestlers would see each other down at the Marriott bar. Nowadays, all the guys go up and they go to the room and play video games, or go on their computer.”

Hall, who was the subject of a brief documentary on ESPN last year, has been compared to Mickey Rourke’s character–Randy “The Ram” Robinson–in the 2008 film “The Wrestler“, and it’s true there is a striking similarity there. The hope is that Hall won’t come to the same fate Randy did.
