  • Jaden Smith Thinks He Can Change The World By Wearing Women’s Clothing

American actor and model Jaden Smith has long been known for his fearless fashion and wardrobe decisions, one of which is wearing women’s clothing.

The 17-year-old son of actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith was included in the Louis Vuitton womenswear collection campaign back in January, in which he wore a skirt.

However, the Hollywood scion wants to do more – change the world and change how people treat fashion.

    “Just Come Here”

“I’m really working towards just fixing the whole planet Earth. I really just want to create a utopia on this planet,” Jaden Smith said in an interview with British GQ Style. He also wants people to be free from bills and live free from any financial obligations.

Regarding his choices for clothing, the Karate Kid actor and luxury brand model said that people are just generally confused about gender norms or how individuals are expected to dress based on their gender.

“I feel like people don’t really get it. I’m not saying that I get it, I’m just saying that I’ve never seen any distinction,” said Jaden, regarding the two types of clothing.

Smith added that he does not see man or woman’s clothing, but rather “scared people” and “comfortable people.”

Jaden Smith is certainly one who is not afraid to go against the norm. He even previously compared himself to Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei. Smith said in another interview that he plans to build an Egyptian-style pyramid.

Meanwhile, Concussion actor Will Smith has described his son as “fearless.” However, he admitted that he and his wife Jada may have gone too far in allowing their kids to express themselves freely.

Smith also said that Jaden is willing to live or die by his artistic decisions, and he also does not think about what other people will say.

  • Willow Smith, Daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Has Been Named the New Face of Chanel

Willow Smith — the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith — has been named as the new face of fashion label Chanel.

The news came during Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2016 show in Paris on Tuesday.

“The young singer, songwriter, actress and trendsetter has been wearing CHANEL for public appearances since 2013 and her first encounter with Karl Lagerfeld was in 2014 when he photographed her for the American magazine V. She was notably present at the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2016/17 Ready-to-Wear show presented this morning at the Grand Palais,” said the fashion house in a statement.

Willow, 15, also shared the big news via her Instagram account.

“I feel like there is so much creativity going on that I want to inject some of my ideas and some of my energy into the brand,” Smith told Teen Vogue backstage at the fashion show. “Because I feel like there’s a lot of things that come from youth nowadays that need to be expressed and amplified to the world.”

Willow’s brother, Jaden Smith, is another couture model in the family.

In a surprise twist, Jaden actually modeled womenswear for Louis Vuitton’s “Series 4” spring-summer 2016 collection advertising campaign.

Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton, said the label wanted Jaden to model for that particular campaign because he “represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender…Wearing a skirt comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man’s trench or a tuxedo.”

  • Will Smith: Were He And Jada Offended by Chris Rock’s Oscars Jokes?

Will Smith and Jada Smith famously boycotted this year’s Oscars and in return they got burned by one of their good friends, and the host of Oscars 2016, Chris Rock.

Well, it seems like Chris Rock took advantage of Jada and Will Smith not attending (not being their to defend themselves). Someone had to be the joke that lightened up the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

And lighten up the mood, it did.

Chris Rock said of Jada Pinkett Smith, “What happened this year? People went nuts. Spike [Lee] got mad. Jada went mad. Will went mad. Everyone went mad!”

He added, “Jada said she’s not coming. I was like, ‘Isn’t she on a TV show?’ Jada’s gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited!”

Ok that was a good one. Even better than Will Smith’s joke, because, well, it wasn’t really a great burn.

    Guess where

A photo posted by Will Smith (@willsmithphotos) on

He said of Will Smith, “Her man Will was not nominated for Concussion. I get it. You get mad. It’s not fair that Will was this good and didn’t get nominated. You’re right. It’s also not fair that Will was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West!”

    See, not a burn.

So, do you think Jada and Will Smith held the public humiliation against their friend? My guess is probably not.

The three of them have been friends for a very long time. Also, If anyone can take one for the team, it’s that couple. Will Smith and his wife of almost two decades always seem like they couldn’t care less what others think or say about them.

    #jada

A photo posted by Will Smith (@willsmithphotos) on

Also, it’s clear that neither one of them are hurting. Both of them are working hard and show no signs of slowing down.

In fact, Will Smith was just confirmed for yet another major part in a another film directed by David Ayer called Bright. David Ayer also directed Will Smith in Suicide Squad recently.

Bright, which will also star Joel Edgerton, is rumored to be “a contemporary cop thriller, but with fantastical elements.”

Will Smith is also currently filming Collateral Beauty with the great Kate Winslet.

Will Smith is just not hurting right now. At all.

Do you think Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are mad at Chris Rock?

  • Jada Pinkett Smith Finds An Ally In Tyrese For Chris Rock’s Oscars Dig

Chris Rock’s speech sparked controversy after he took a jab at Jada Pinkett Smith and her move to not attend this year’s Oscars.

Not everyone was impressed with Rock’s joke at the event. Fast and Furious actor Tyrese Gibson spoke out about Rock’s mocking speech about Jada, who called for a boycott of the Academy on social media last month to protest the lack of black nominees.

Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband, rapper-actor Will Smith, who recently starred in Concussion, were among the many black Hollywood celebrities who did not attend this year’s Oscars for its apparent lack of racial diversity.

Gibson took to Instagram to defend Jada Pinkett Smith against Rock’s explosive joke, which he found “tasteless.”

“Someone posted the tasteless joke that Chris Rock did in his opening,” Gibson wrote. “Did you really use your STAGE to tear down and diminish one of the strongest most fearless black women IN this town as the world watched???”

“Jokes are just jokes right???? Not when someone is trying to affect change……… Not when someone is willing to put it ALL on the line to affect change for our daughters and sons of the future…….. Shame on you Chris Rock.”

On the other hand, Will Smith has not yet commented on Rock’s comical speech. “Jada got mad, Jada says she’s not coming, protesting, I’m like — doesn’t she have a TV show? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited,” Rock quipped.

Maybe the power couple was not really bothered by the host’s monologue at all. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been friends with the comedian for many years now. Rock and Will have known each other for over 20 years, while he and Jada have worked on three Madagascar movies together. Perhaps it was just Rock’s way of reminding the audience of the #OscarSoWhite issue.

  • Justin Timberlake, Alfonso Ribiero Dance “The Carlton” at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament

Justin Timberlake joined Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star and America’s Funniest Home Videos host Alfonso Ribiero and danced “The Carlton” at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament this weekend.

Ribiero made the dance famous while starring on the popular TV show from the 1990s that also starred Will Smith.

A video of Justin Timberlake and Alfonso Ribiero dancing “The Carlton” was posted to the PGA Tour website.

“We didn’t even plan that, wow!” Justin Timberlake said in a TV interview.

“We look good, though!” Ribeiro said. “You do a good Carlton.”

    “Thank you, sir,” Timberlake replied.

This wasn’t the first time Justin Timberlake and Alfonso Ribiero broke out into the familiar dance routine on a golf course. They did the same thing about six months ago.

Alfonso Ribiero’s wife, Angela, shared a photo she took on the golf course of her husband holding their baby boy Anders.

“Daddy getting some good luck from Anders before teeing it up in the celebrity closest-to-the-pin challenge. #pebblebeachproam ⛳️?,” she captioned it.

If Justin Timberlake’s wife, Jessica Biel, was there with their baby boy Silas, photos haven’t yet emerged.

  • Keira Knightley to Star Alongside Will Smith in “Collateral Beauty”

Keira Knightley has signed on as a cast member in an upcoming film called Collateral Beauty. She will play opposite Will Smith in the movie.

Most recently seen in Everest, Knightley is no stranger to the big screen.

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress last year for her role in The Imitation Game, Keira Knightley is presently in talks to star in the biopic Colette. She has appeared in films including Pride & Prejudice, Begin Again, Atonement, and Love Actually.

Collateral Beauty is about a man–a New York advertising executive (played by Will Smith)–who has experienced a personal tragedy. His colleagues come up with a rather unconventional way to help him through his grief.

In addition to Keira Knightley and Will Smith, Collateral Beauty will star Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Michael Peña, and Naomie Harris. It will be directed by David Frankel.

It’s possible that next year’s Academy Award nominations will include Keira Knightley, Will Smith, or one of their cast mates. Collateral Beauty is scheduled to hit theaters on December 16, and that makes it in time for 2017’s nominations.

Production for Collateral Beauty is set to begin later this month in New York.

  • Alexis Arquette Gets ‘Reckless,’ Outs Will And Jada Pinkett-Smith As Gay

Alexis Arquette Gets ‘Reckless,’ Outs Will And Jada Pinkett-Smith As Gay

Alexis Arquette is under fire for claiming that A-list couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are gay.

Following the Smiths’ recent call to boycott the Oscars because of the “lack of diversity” in its list of nominees in the last couple of years, celebrities left and right have been weighing in on the issue. While some have expressed their agreement and support, others have not been very keen about the boycott.

The 46-year-old trans sister of Hollywood actors David, Patricia, and Rosanna Arquette stirred controversy even further by posting a brief rant on his Facebook page last week. The post – which has since been deleted – alleged that Will and Jada Smith are gay and in the closet and that the only way he was going to listen to their protest was if they come clean about their sexuality.

In the post, Alexis Arquette also accused Will Smith of having sexual relations with music producer Benny Medina and that his first marriage broke down because Smith’s then-wife walked in on them engaged in a sexual act.

“When Jada comes out as Gay and her beard husband admits his first marriage ended when she walked in to him **** servicing his Sugar Daddy Benny Medina ..then I will listen to them,” Arquette said on the post.

The couple have yet to comment about Alexis Arquette’s controversial allegations, but Will’s first wife, Sheree Fletcher, has taken to social media to set the record straight.

In the four-minute video that Fletcher posted in Thursday, she directly addressed Alexis Arquette by denying that infidelity caused their breakdown of their three-year marriage.

She also called him out on making “malicious” and “reckless” claims that could potentially affect the families involved.

“Alexis Arquette, let’s just be clear: I don’t know you and you don’t know me,” said Fletcher at the beginning of the video. “For you to claim you have firsthand knowledge information as to why my marriage didn’t work out is completely out of line.”

https://www.facebook.com/sheree.fletcher2/videos/959806840735956/?theater Posted by Sheree Fletcher on Thursday, January 21, 2016
Alexis Arquette also alleged that Fletcher was paid by Will Smith to keep mum about his supposed homosexuality. “I know Will has a lot of money, but Will does not have enough money to take my voice away from me - to deprive me of my story. That wouldn’t happen,” Fletcher added.

  • Alexis Arquette Slams Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith’s Oscars Boycott

Alexis Arquette Slams Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith’s Oscars Boycott

Alexis Arquette recently spoke out via social media, slamming both Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith for their call to boycott the Oscars.

In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, Arquette called Will and Jada “gay,” and said Will Smith paid off his first wife to remain mum after she allegedly walked in on him having sex with a man.

Is it any wonder the post has been taken down? Will Smith’s ex, Sheree Fletcher, denies the allegations.

Alexis Arquette is a transgender woman who transitioned from a man in the early 2000s. Born Robert Arquette, Alexis Arquette is related to all the famous Arquettes, including David Arquette (Courteney Cox’s ex-husband), Rosanna Arquette, and Patricia Arquette, who stars in CSI: Cyber. Patricia Arquette voiced her support for Bruce Jenner when he came out as transgender, in part because of watching what Alexis underwent both before and during her transition.

Not unlike her famous family, Alexis Arquette is an actress who has played roles in The Wedding Singer, Xena: Princess Warrior, and Last Exit to Brooklyn. Her transition was the subject of a documentary called Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother. She also starred in the final season of VH1’s The Surreal Life, which ended in 2006.

So far neither Will Smith nor Jada Pinkett Smith has responded to the slam Alexis Arquette posted on Facebook about their call to boycott the Academy Awards.

It’s likely they never saw the post, but they surely know about it. Even though the post was deleted, social media is buzzing about Arquette’s allegations.

  • Jada Pinkett Smith Responds to Janet Hubert’s (“Fresh Prince’s” Aunt Viv) Oscars Boycott Slam

Jada Pinkett Smith called for a boycott of the upcoming Oscars because of the lack of diversity among the 2016 nominees.

Not long after she made her boycott wishes known, Jada Pinkett Smith came under fire from Janet Hubert–Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Smith’s husband Will Smith starred on the sitcom.

Hubert shared a video earlier this week calling out Jada Pinkett Smith, calling her call to boycott hypocritical.

“I find it ironic that somebody who has made their living and made millions and millions of dollars from the very people that you’re talking about boycotting just because you didn’t get a nomination, just because you didn’t win?” Hubert said in the video. “That is not the way life works, baby.”

Jada Pinkett Smith responded to Hubert’s video in her own video clip posted by Entertainment Tonight.

“This whole Oscar controversy isn’t really about the Oscars,” she says in the clip. “Really, in my plea to ask all communities and people of color to take back our power is so that we can use it in all sectors of our community, and right now, specifically with African-American people, we have some very serious issues that I think we as a people have to move together on. I’m hoping we can find ways to step together in this instead of finding ways to fight each other. I got love for everybody.”

Janet Hubert had more to say, and she did just that in an interview with The Los Angeles Times.

“I’m a real freedom fighter,” she told the publication. “I’m not a pretend freedom fighter. I stand up for other actresses, other people. The Smiths just irked me because they are such pretenders, and everything is a photo op. It’s just self-contrived because her hubby didn’t get a nomination.”

Which of these women might you choose to support? Do you believe Jada Pinkett Smith is calling for an Oscars boycott for the right reasons, or do you tend to think Janet Hubert hit the nail on its proverbial head instead?

  • Stacy Dash Says Oscar Boycott Is ‘Ludicrous’ And Black History Month Should Be a Thing of the Past

Stacy Dash of Fox News says she was shocked when she learned that there were no actors or actresses of color nominated for an Oscar this year, but says a boycott proposed by celebrities like Jada Pinkett Smith is not the way to go.

On Wednesday, the 49-year-old Clueless actor made her opinion known in an interview with Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends.

“I think it’s ludicrous,” she said. “Because we have to make up our minds. Either we want segregation or integration.”

Dash said she is happy the lack of diversity is a topic of conversation, but believes that things won’t change until the “double standard” currently in place is eliminated.

“If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET, and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” she explained. “If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

Dash made the point that there is no White History Month, so why should there be a Black History Month?

“What I find astounding is that we’ve had a president who is black in office for the past eight years, who gets most of his funding from the liberal elite in Hollywood,” she added, referring to President Barack Obama. “Yet, there are not very many roles for people of color. How can that be? And why is it just now being addressed?”

Dash agreed that Jada Pinkett Smith might have cause to be upset considering her husband, Will Smith, wasn’t nominated for his role in Concussion.

“He did a great job in the movie, but at the same time, what does that say about how people are selected for these awards?” Doocy asked Dash.

“Right. That’s assuming they’re selected by race, which I think would be a disservice to the people who are looking at the films and making the choices,” she said. “Maybe [the Academy] need[s] to be more, you know, integrated, and there needs to be more diverse people in the process of electing.”

Doocy claimed that, although the Academy demographics are kept secret, they are “predominately white males.”

“I hope they’re looking for the best movies and the best actors,” Dash noted. “The good news is, there’s attention brought to it now. But, like I said, over the past eight years, we’ve had a president who’s black, who gets his funding mainly from Hollywood. ‘The elite liberals.’ So, it’s odd to me that this has now become such an issue.”

  • ‘Concussion’ Movie Starring Will Smith Sheds Light On Injuries Suffered By NFL Players

The movie Concussion premiered in theaters on Christmas Day, and tells the story of a medical specialist who discovers a degenerative brain disease that is linked to contact sports such as football.

In the Concussion movie, Will Smith plays a pathologist named Dr. Bennet Omalu who discovers a disease known as Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy or CTE, which affects athletes who have engaged in contact sports.

As the issue builds on how football leagues such as the NFL would take care of its athletes and prevent them from suffering from this disease, some former players have also weighed in on the discussion.

Former Oiler Warren Moon said in an interview that he suffered six concussions during his career, and he is now worried about their long-term effects on his health.

“Your brain gets rattled around in your skull, so it bruises your brain,” Moon said.

Moon, 59, remembered the different concussions he suffered, and recalled that some of them were very bad that he would occasionally lose awareness of where he was.

He was worried that due to the concussions, something bad would happen one day.

Hall of Famer Warren Moon Discusses the Consequences of Football-Related Concussions

While Moon still hasn’t experienced the adverse effects of the sport, other former players are not as fortunate. Some have reportedly suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, while others eventually died from their injuries.

One of the former NFL players who is currently suffering the consequences of his numerous concussions is Hall of Famer Harry Carson.

Carson, who played as linebacker for the New York Giants in the 1970s and ‘80s, said that parents should be well-informed regarding what their kids will go through if they play football.

The Concussion Movie Delves into Brain-Related Injuries in the NFL

The Concussion movie which also stars Alec Baldwin and Albert Brooks, was supposed to spread awareness on this danger. However, a report pointed out that the film seemed to have softened some of the crucial plots, and script somehow focused its tone on other related issues, reportedly to avoid earning the ire of NFL executives.

  • ‘Concussion’ Movie Elicits Emotional Reactions From Current and Former NFL Players

Concussion, starring Will Smith, has elicited emotional reactions from current and former NFL players.

The film, based on true events and released on Christmas day, chronicles the work of Dr. Bennet Omalu (Smith), a forensic pathologist who has been vocal against the NFL’s attempts to suppress his research on the discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and brain damage in deceased football players.

The MMQB screened Concussion with 70 former NFL players, and received emotional reactions both for and against the film from several players on Twitter.

According to Sport Illustrated, NFL players are able to redeem free admission to the movie by showing their NFL Players Association card at Cinemark theaters.

The film is not necessarily putting the football industry in a happy place.

“I probably won’t be getting my free Super Bowl tickets this year,” Will Smith told CNN about the reaction he expects from the NFL.

In the months leading up to the release of Concussion, leaked Sony emails indicated that its filmmakers were concerned about upsetting the NFL.

“We welcome any conversation about player health and safety,” said the NFL in a statement sent to CNN. “Broader and deeper awareness of these issues will positively impact all athletes.

“The NFL has made numerous changes to the game to enhance the health and safety of players at all levels of football. These include nearly 40 rule changes in the last decade, strict concussion protocols, and better training and sideline medical care.

“We’re seeing measurable results, including a 34% decrease in concussions in NFL games since the 2012 season.

“Additionally, we are funding independent scientific and medical research and the development of better protective equipment to advance further progress. The game continues to change, and the safety of our players remains our highest priority.”

Although Smith is an avid football fan and has a son who plays, the 47-year-old actor hesitated on whether to make the film. In the end, he says it was important to bring the doctor’s story to the attention of the world and to honor those who have suffered as a result of football-related brain injury.

“The production was extremely heavy,” Smith said. “You know, it’s not just a movie. It’s people’s lives that we’re trying to do justice to their suffering.”

  • “Concussion” Movie: Hollywood On Board in Protecting Athletes

Concussion–the movie about athletes who sustain concussions during play–presents one of the hottest health topics in sports circles to its viewers. With Hollywood on board with this topic, the film might do as much good as doctors have in spreading the word about the dangers involved.

Premiering on Christmas Day, Concussion stars Will Smith as Nigerian-born forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu. He is the doctor who discovered a disorder similar to Alzheimer’s–called Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, or CTE–while doing an autopsy on a former NFL player. He then went on a crusade to make the public aware of the dangers of football-related head injuries.

Since Dr. Omalu’s research began more than 10 years ago, the public has learned a lot about these sports-related blows to the head.

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre spoke to CBS This Morning about his injuries and the memory loss he sustained as a result.

“This was a little shocking to me that I couldn’t remember my daughter playing youth soccer,” Favre said.

A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury, typically caused by a blow or jolt to the head.

Concussion, the movie, proves football is dangerous and makes one wonder if it’s really a sport, according to the Huffington Post.

The publication’s review of Concussion says the movie’s end credits will “stir up anger and a discussion about the validity of football as a sport. Dr. Omalu fought for the truth to be admitted by the NFL, then dropped the ball. Concussion only tells part of the story.”

Between the serious nature of this film and Will Smith as its lead character, do you think Concussion is worth a trip to the movie theater?

It definitely sounds like one all coaches and parents of kids who play sports–especially football or hockey–should plan to see.

  • Kirsten Dunst Doesn’t Know What Or Who Saint West Is

The Kardashians may be reality TV’s royal family, but not everyone is paying attention to their drama and silly antics.

Kirsten Dunst appeared on The Tonight Show on Friday to play catchphrase with host Jimmy Fallon, actor Will Smith, and The Roots’ Tariq, where they have to guess the topics being acted out.

Smith and Tariq teamed up against Dunst and the TV host. Guessing from a variety of pop culture topics, Fallon and Dunst easily got the right answers for topics like “Can of Whoop Ass,” “Beatbox” and “North Pole.”

However, they had a problem with one topic: “Saint West.” Apparently the talented actress had no idea who or what a “Saint West” was. It seemed the Fargo actress is not keeping up with the famous Kardashians despite the news being dominated by the reality TV family.

Dunst picked up the card that reads “Saint West,” but the actress, unaware that it was the name of Kimye’s newborn baby and the newest addition to the growing Kardashian clan, was obviously baffled.

“What is that?” Dunst asked to which the audience laughed. Dunst, clearly unable to process who or what a Saint West is, tossed the card away and picked another one. With her busy schedule, it is not surprising that she did not have time to spare for some Kardashian updates.

Meanwhile, actor and rapper Will Smith was unsuccessful in portraying Star Wars’ Darth Vader during the catchphrase match. He apparently forgot what Darth Vader sounds like, but he and the other guests seemed to enjoy the game.

Dunst is nominated for her work on Fargo while Smith, who played with her on the show, has been recognized for his role in his upcoming drama movie Concussion.

  • Kristen Dunst Experiences Epic Fail on “Tonight Show,” Doesn’t “Know” Saint West

Kirsten Dunst experienced an epic fail on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon this week. During a game the two played–Catchphrase–she couldn’t quite place a person she was asked to identify.

It was Jimmy Fallon and Kirsten Dunst against Will Smith and Tariq from The Roots. Fallon and Dunst did well on topics including “Beatbox,” “North Pole,” and “Can of Whoop Ass.”

When the newest member of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family came up, however, Kirsten Dunst was stumped.

    “Saint West,” was her catchphrase.

“What is that?” Kirsten Dunst asked, looking genuinely perplexed.

It seemed to please the audience to no end that the actress had no clue about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s new baby. They cheered as she cast the card aside and drew another in order to proceed with the game.

Given the hype over Saint West’s birth earlier this month, one might expect everyone would recognize the name–especially those Hollywood A-listers, who no doubt try to keep up with the Joneses–or Keep Up With the Kardashians, as the case may be, to remain a part of trendy society.

Kirsten Dunst’s lack of knowledge about Saint West was actually quite refreshing. It was proof positive that Hollywood hype hasn’t permeated the pores of everyone within reasonable proximity of the city.

Were you aware that Saint West is Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s new baby, or were you like Kirsten Dunst–clueless as to what or whom her Catchphrase card was referring?

  • Will Smith For President? Don’t Rule It Out, He Says

Will Smith says he is seriously considering adding “politician” to his many hats.

The 47-year-old rapper, singer, producer and actor told CBS correspondent Tracy Smith, in an interview to be broadcast on Sunday Morning the he might toss his hat into the political arena, especially considering the current discourse in the presidential race.

Smith, who stars in the new film Concussion, says he has bigger dreams than just being an actor.

“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena,” he said.

And Smith says he wouldn’t just settle on being a mayor, or even a senator. Instead, he said he would aim for the top spot. “I mean, I gotta be the President. Come on!” Smith says, adding, “What else would I run for?”

Smith has had a stellar career that include winning four Grammy Awards for his work as a rapper and being twice-nominated for Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness. He was also just nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in Concussion, which chronicles the real life of the doctor who identified brain damage in former NFL football players.

Despite his success, Smith says he still has much to achieve.

“I tell my kids, ‘Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real,” he said. “The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened. So for me, I think being the biggest movie star in the world as a goal actually was too small!”

With many of his goals achieved, Will says he began to ponder, “What else am I going to do?”

“I realized that the dream was too small,” Smith said. “I realized that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star.”

Tracy Smith’s interview with Will Smith will air on Sunday Morning on December 13.

  • Will Smith Reveals He Is Preparing For Politics

Actor and musician Will Smith admits he has politics on his mind and believes his grandmother would be proud of him.

Appearing in a podcast for the first time, Smith opened up about his political ambition in the near future on the Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast.

“I think that that’s what my grandmother always hoped, that I would make myself useful to people in this lifetime,” said the actor who aspires to make his late grandmother proud. Smith believes there might be a future for him in politics. In fact, the actor/rapper has started to polish his skills before embarking on this new challenge.

“I’m working really hard and my storytelling is elevating, my ability to be eloquent with my body and with my voice and to deliver ideas as an actor is elevating,” he revealed during the podcast.

Smith also said that this is the first time he has been “incensed to a level that I can’t sleep” and added that he also felt like he will have to use his influence to contribute to shedding light on some important issues.

For someone like Smith who is constantly reinventing and improving himself, his acting, and his music, it is not surprising to see him try his hand in politics. He is one of those rare celebrities who are able to keep up with ever-changing trends in culture and society.

“I’m a climber, so if I see a mountain, I have to climb it. I’m not a camper; I don’t like hanging in one place too long,” Smith explained. “At this point, I’m elevating my ability to be useful in the world.”

  • Jada Pinkett Smith & Will Smith Address Divorce Rumor On Social Media

Another day, another round of divorce rumors for Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith.

The Hollywood power couple is notoriously prone to divorce rumors, something that Pinkett Smith acknowledged in an interview she gave in American Way Magazine. The actress admitted that they encounter a new divorce rumor every year.

The latest round of rumors insist that the Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband are finally pulling the plug on their marriage, According to Radar Online, the couple are “exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union” and have allegedly hammered out an agreement that would both “protect their $240 million fortune” and their kids.

But for once, Will Smith felt compelled to address the divorce rumors and took to social media to say his piece. On his Facebook page, the Suicide Squad actor admitted that he doesn’t “usually respond to foolishness” because it’s contagious. But it seems the endless questions and people extending their “deepest condolences” to the alleged end of his marriage were too much. “So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are…NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” wrote the actor.

Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have... Posted by Will Smith on Monday, August 3, 2015
Smith then went on and promised everyone that “if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself!” Pinkett Smith seconded the sentiment with a simple tweet – “My king has spoken.” The Gotham actress, who shares two children with Smith, has talked about her marriage before and acknowledged that “marriages go through shifts, and relationships go through shifts because in life things shift.” The 43-year-old Magic Mike XXL star says that people just automatically assume they’ll be divorcing whenever there’s a rough patch. But for Pinkett Smith, the scrutiny she experiences every day regarding the state of her marriage is nothing compared to what other women and families go through, and for that she’s grateful. "There are mothers out there losing their sons, their husbands, their daughters. I'm blessed,” Pinkett Smith explains. “So scrutinize me. I'll take that any day over what the majority of my people are dealing with on a daily basis.”

  • Jada Smith Not Divorcing Will Smith, Actually Welcomes Constant Speculation

Jada Smith and her famous hubby, Will Smith, have to deal with divorce rumors on a near constant basis.

Jada Smith met Will on the set of his long-running series, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, when she auditioned for a role as his love interest.

She didn’t get the part, but she stole Will’s heart.

Jada Pinkett became Jada Smith shortly after, in 1997.

Since then, Will and Jada Smith have had to deal with rumors about their marriage.

Just yesterday, rumors were swirling of a divorce by the end of summer.

The rumors don’t bother Jada Smith, though. To her, things could be a lot worse.

Jada Smith told American Way magazine, “Every year there’s a new one. And I’m like, ‘Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin’ on tight?'”

Of course, Jada Smith isn’t saying that her marriage is perfect.

She said, “Marriages go through shifts. And relationships go through shifts because in life, things shift. So people are automatically like, ‘What’s going on? They must be getting a divorce.’ Well, no. But when people feel those shifts and there’s a mystery, they have to fill it with something.”

So true. As long as these two are married, it’s likely there will be new rumors all the time.

But, to Jada Smith, it’s way better than what others have to deal with on a daily basis. Rumors are nothing compared to real-life problems.

She said, “If you really want to know,I’m thankful for the Hollywood scrutiny, that that’s my problem. There are mothers out there losing their sons, their husbands, their daughters.”

She added, “I’m blessed. So scrutinize me. I’ll take that any day over what the majority of my people are dealing with on a daily basis. I dare not complain. Hollywood scrutiny has nothing on what I’ve survived just to be here.”

That’s a great way to look at it!

What do you think of Jada Smith’s attitude toward the constant divorce rumors?
