  • WW is Weight Watchers Reimagined as a Technology Experience Company

WW is Weight Watchers Reimagined as a Technology Experience Company

The CEO of WW (formerly Weight Watchers) described the company as a ‘technology experience company’ with an incredible human-centric overlay. In September 2018 Weight Watchers announced their rebranding to WW in order to make it clear that they are digitally relevant and focused on health and wellness, not just losing weight.

Mindy Grossman, CEO of WW, recently discussed the companies technological and brand transformation on Bloomberg (video):

We Truly Are a Technology Experience Company

What people don’t understand is that we truly are a technology experience company with this incredible human-centric overlay. If you look at our 4.2 million members, they are all engaged with the assets we have in our app. That’s nutrition, activity, mindfulness with the integration of HeadSpace, our new rewards program, and very important is our digital community which is so powerful.

What we have said is our goal especially with this move as the undisputed leader in weight loss to now wanting to become everyone’s partner in wellness. If you have Amazon for shopping, Netflix for entertainment, Spotify for music you need WW as your wellness partner. If you look at just what the tech and product teams have accomplished this year in building a true health and wellness ecosystem that people can have with them 24 hours a day, it’s been very powerful.

    WW Focusing on Technology Integration

We just moved into our new offices in San Fransisco which really reflects who we are as a tech and product team. There are so many avenues of work that are happening right now. Again, if you just look at the last year. We launched FreeStyle which is the most efficacious program in the company’s history for eating. We launched FitPoints 2.0 which took the science similar to what we do in nutrition and used it for customized activities. We are Aaptiv audio fitness within our app and we also integrated Headspace for content.

We are very excited about our rewards program which has been in the works for a year. It doesn’t reward you for spending money, it rewards you for what you do on behalf of your health and nutrition. We are already seeing an increase of 20 percent of nutrition tracking and 80 percent of activity tracking.

Digital Community is the Heart and Soul of WW

Then Connect Communities just launched in Canada and is going to be rolling out to the rest of the world and that’s for people to be able to find and inform. We have a whole universe of activations that not only will be able to happen between now and the end of the year but also into 2019 when we really do the big brand relaunch.

  • Kirstie Alley Pitches Jenny Craig, Oprah Winfrey Touts Weight Watchers–Which Celebrity Endorsement Will Reign Supreme?

Kirstie Alley is pitching the Jenny Craig method of weight loss as Oprah Winfrey touts the merits of Weight Watchers and the fact that she can eat bread–every day.

The average person looking to shed a few pounds in the New Year has these two big-name endorsements to consider when deciding how to implement a weight loss plan. Will one reign supreme over the other?

If you turn to social media, you’ll see that Kirstie Alley is using her old Cheers backdrop to show off her new physique. Might that be the Jenny Craig way of including men in the weight loss wars? John Ratzenberger and George Wendt appear as they did decades ago, seated at the bar, as Alley poses in the foreground.

Not everyone sees it as a weight loss ad. Some view it as a Cheers reunion of sorts instead.

Others clearly don’t get the notion that Kirstie Alley is a paid spokesperson, and have opted to throw her Church of Scientology ties in her face.

One Twitter user seems to have grown bored with Kirstie Alley touting Jenny Craig.

Then There’s Oprah Winfrey and her Weight Watchers campaign–setting out to convince the average television viewer that she’s just like the rest of us, because she eats bread–every day. Who out there doesn’t understand that someone prepares every bite of food Oprah puts in her mouth? You could lose weight and have your “best body” if a chef prepared your meals, too.

One Twitter user seems a bit tired of the bread ruse.

Are you looking to shed a few pounds before donning your spring wardrobe? Which of these two celebrities are you more likely to endorse–Kirstie Alley or Oprah Winfrey? Or have each spokesperson’s ads prompted you to look elsewhere for your weight loss encouragement?

  • Oprah Winfrey Tweets About Love of Bread, Weight Watchers Stock Soars

Many diets would have you abstain from carbohydrates like bread – but not Weight Watchers.

And this is perfect for Oprah Winfrey, who loves bread. Like, a lot.

And she says she’s lost 26 pounds on Weight Watchers while eating bread every single day.

“This is the joy for me,” Oprah says in a Twitter video. “I love bread. I love bread. I now just manage it, so I don’t deny myself bread – I have bread every day. That’s the genius of this program. I lost 26 pounds and I have eaten bread every single day.”

A funny thing about that tweet …

You might recall that Oprah bought a 10 percent stake in Weight Watchers last October.

“It was not strictly a business decision. It was a personal decision that allowed me to make a smart business decision. I always lead with my heart because the truth is, my heart is my brand,” said Oprah at the time.

The company’s stock soared on the news.

And guess what, Oprah’s bread tweet had a similar effect on Weight Watchers stock.

Following the “I love bread” tweet, Weight Watchers stocks jumped nearly 20 percent, which made Oprah about $14 million richer.

    Pretty smart tweet.

  • Oprah Winfrey Buys into Weight Watchers and Stock Soars

Oprah Winfrey Buys into Weight Watchers and Stock Soars

Oprah Winfrey has purchased a 10 percent stake in the Weight Watchers diet company, and it’s sent the company’s stock soaring.

In speaking with NPR, Winfrey said that she didn’t even have to think about the investment. Weight Watchers asked, and she said yes.

“They called me and asked would I be interested in talking to them about establishing a relationship and I said, ‘Uh … sure.’ … I didn’t even think about it. … I’ve had many, many friends do Weight Watchers over the years and so we had a meeting, yes, and I said, well, I couldn’t do anything with them without trying the program first to see if that worked for me. So far I’ve lost about 14 pounds on it.”

This is the kind of effect Oprah can have on your stock:

“It was not strictly a business decision. It was a personal decision that allowed me to make a smart business decision. I always lead with my heart because the truth is, my heart is my brand,” said Oprah.

“The good thing about picking Oprah Winfrey is that although she is very much a really strong media personality, lots of people still see her as being a very ordinary person, a person that has struggled with things like weight loss,” Neil Saunders, managing director of retail research firm Conlumino, told Reuters.

And that’s a good point. Oprah is a brand, and when it comes to struggles with weight, she has authenticity. Can Oprah help Weight Watchers improve its reach? If anyone can, it’s her.

  • Jessica Simpson Shows Off New Short Hairstyle

Jessica Simpson recently showed off her new short hair ‘do in a selfie that she posted to her personal Instagram account.

“Short hair don’t care,” she captioned the photo. “Cut by my favorite @Roqchop and blondie by the best of all time @RitaHazan”

Roque Jimenez, who chopped off Simpson’s long blonde locks, was also responsible for her gorgeous hairstyle for her wedding to Eric Johnson.

“@JessicaSimpson @JessicaSimpsonStyle #everfabericjohnson Ok I know every bride is beautiful but…C’MON!!! Thank you “JERRICA” for including me on the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever experienced!” Jimenez captioned a photo of Jessica’s hair before she walked down the aisle. “Love u guys, and hope you are honeymoon’in it up!!!”

Simpson has struggled to find comfort in her own skin since having her two children. She has had a hard time with her weight fluctuating, but has recently opened up about how she is learning to love herself again.

“I’ve grown into myself and established my identity on my terms. I embrace my strengths and celebrate even the small victories,” she told Glamour magazine. “I’m certainly not perfect, but when I look in the mirror, I’m proud of the woman I see. I’m not only someone’s mother, wife, and daughter—I’m me.”

Being a married woman has also helped Jessica to become more comfortable with her body. “It actually has changed my style. I’m very into slip dresses and everything’s a little bit sexier,” she said. “I feel sexier as a wife and a mom!”

  • Jessica Simpson Talks Marriage And Self-Confidence

The past two years have been full of bliss for Jessica Simpson. Not only did she marry the love of her life, Eric Johnson, she also welcomed two beautiful children – Maxwell and Ace.

During a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Simpson opened up about marriage and motherhood, and how she has learned to build her self-confidence and love herself.

Since the birth of her first child Maxwell in 2012, Jessica has struggled with her weight and body image, and became a Weight Watchers spokeswoman to help shed the pounds and motivate other women who were struggling.

“Today, I feel truly comfortable in my own skin. Better exercise habits, food choices, and lifestyle changes have contributed to this, but ultimately, my confidence comes from my state of mind,” she explained.

“Every step I’ve taken up until this point has taught me something,” she added. “Every decision I’ve made has brought me here. When I reflect on my life, my beliefs, and my experiences, I gain a perspective that connects me more deeply to myself, my friends, and my family.”

Simpson also credits her hubby Eric, whom she recently married in July, for supporting her through all her sizes, and helping her gain her self-confidence back. “Eric has seen me at every size, and he loves me no matter what. When I got pregnant with Ace four months after having Maxwell, I was nervous about starting over again. I had come so far in learning how to balance my career, family life, and hormones, and starting over again felt overwhelming,” she explained.

“Eric was so supportive and challenged me to accept my insecurities and focus on what truly matters. I feel stronger than ever, and Eric’s unconditional love has been a reminder of the love I should give myself.”

While Weight Watchers and her husband both helped her achieve her goals, ultimately it was Simpson who changed her own view of herself. “I’ve grown into myself and established my identity on my terms,” she said. “I embrace my strengths and celebrate even the small victories. I’m certainly not perfect, but when I look in the mirror, I’m proud of the woman I see. I’m not only someone’s mother, wife, and daughter—I’m me.”

  • Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson: Married at Last

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have finally said “I do” in a wedding that was twice postponed over the past few years. The couple made plans to walk down that proverbial aisle twice before but plans got changed because Jessica didn’t want to be a pregnant bride. The couple are parents to daughter Maxwell and son Ace who both threw wrenches, although very welcome ones, into their parents’ prior wedding plans.

This weekend was the third effort at tying the knot and as they say–the third time’s a charm. It was for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson anyway. Their wedding took place without a hitch at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. Maxwell was their flower girl and Ace was the ring bearer for his mom and dad. Sister Ashlee Simpson’s son, 5-year-old Bronx, escorted Maxwell down the aisle. Ashlee was one of her sister’s bridesmaids.

Jess, along with sister Ashlee, worked on their suntans prior to the wedding, and attended a 4th of July bash the day before as well.

“We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment,” the new Mr. and Mrs. Eric Johnson said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine on Saturday. “To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.”

Jessica Simpson was stunning in a custom Carolina Herrera wedding gown as she and Eric Johnson recited their vows in front of 250 family members and friends. Her gown was champagne colored and not pink as some previous rumors had suggested.

An instrumental version of Chris Isaak’s song ‘Wicked Games‘ played at one point in the ceremony to cheers and applause from the wedding guests.

Eric Johnson proposed to Jessica Simpson back in 2010. In May of this year–when it finally seemed like the two would truly tie the knot–Jessica shared her excitement via Instagram.

A few days later she posted this photo, captioned, “I can’t wait to marry you!!! Best 4yrs of my life!!! Thank you @tomeverhartstudio for being an amazing mentor to us all. Happy Birthday…again :)”

Jessica Simpson has finally married Eric Johnson. Family members, friends, and even Jess’s fans are likely thrilled for the couple–and breathing a collective sigh of relief. The Weight Watchers spokesperson and thin and trim beauty no doubt made a beautiful bride. Photos should emerge soon so everyone can see how happy the new couple must be.

  • Jessica Simpson Super Sexy in Her Fragrance Ad

Jessica Simpson is looking super sexy these days and that’s abundantly clear in an ad for her new signature fragrance. The 33-year-old mom of two and soon-to-be wife of former NFL Player Eric Johnson lost lots of weight–she was a Weight Watchers spokesperson after all–and she’s looking like she has a new lease on life. She and Johnson are set to tie the knot some time next weekend in a wedding that seemed like it might never happen. When Jess was making wedding plans following the birth of their daughter Maxwell she learned she was pregnant with their second child–a son named Ace. Since the Dukes of Hazzard star didn’t want to walk down the aisle pregnant she put off their plans once again. This time it appears as though they’re headed to the altar.

Jessica’s new fragrance comes in a shapely bottle–not unlike its designer–and is even adorned with a lovely feather motif. Of course it might be hard for prospective buyers to even see the fragrance in the new ad when Jess is in the photo, too. Fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon can take credit for the photo shoot, but definitely not for the subject. Yes, she’s looking that good.

Just a few days ago Jessica Simpson shared a sexy new shot taken while hiding from the paparazzi. She captioned this one ‘Hiding from the paparazzi so why not pose for Eric?’

Eric is no doubt very pleased.

Will you be checking out Jessica Simpson’s new fragrance, aptly called ‘Jessica Simpson?’ Or are you among those who prefer to stay on Jessica-watch instead? Very few confirmed details have emerged about her wedding to Eric Johnson, so fans will be waiting and watching to learn what little bits of information they can.

  • Jessica Simpson Looking FINE in New Fragrance Ad

Jessica Simpson is bringing on the heat in a new ad for her new, self-named fragrance, Jessica Simpson, which will be available in August.

The beautiful 33-year-old has been working hard to lose the baby weight after the birth of her second child, and the effort is certainly obvious in the ad.

The bride-to-be joined forces with Weight Watchers and has lost at least 50 pounds. But, more importantly, she now looks healthier, happier and more confident.

It was not an easy task to lose the weight. When she became pregnant with her first child, she admitted that she really packed on the pounds because she felt hungry all the time.

She tried to lose the weight by becoming a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers and was able to lose a fair amount of weight, but it didn’t last as she soon gained much of it back.

With her second pregnancy, she tried to be more intentional in choosing healthy food, but once again struggled with the hunger monster and gained weight, which proved to be difficult to shed following the birth.

The always-beautiful-despite-the-weight-gain singer made the decision to shed the weight once and for all, so she again teamed up with Weight Watchers.

    And voilà!

Since then, Simpson has been posting on social media photos of her admirable transformation.

Simpson shared the ad shot by famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon Friday on Twitter.

Simpson has posted other photos of her gorgeous figure over the past few months.

  • Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson Celebrate Bachelor/Bachelorette Party Together

Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson didn’t want the typical bachelor and bachelorette parties where they went off in separate directions with friends of the same gender only. Instead the engaged couple and parents of two decided to combine their parties and simply have fun with all of their friends at the same time. So the pair enjoyed good food, the company of lots of friends, and even some dancing on the night they celebrated their soon-to-be-over single lives.

“It wasn’t about being naughty,” a friend explained. “They just wanted a great night out with their friends and family.”

“They didn’t want a traditional bachelor-bachelorette where they go off and do their own thing, because our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together,” Jessica’s best friend and bridesmaid Stephanie Terblanche said.

So who made the guest list for the rather exclusive event? Jessica Simpson’s mom Tina was in attendance as were all of the members of the impending wedding party and their significant others. Eric Johnson also invited his NFL teammates.

“This is what we would do anyway. We would all go out, and I think that this speaks for the group. If we are not going to be at someone’s house hanging out playing beer pong, this is the closest thing to it,” Stephanie added.

“Everyone had a great time,” Stephanie said of the event held at The Warwick in Los Angeles. “There were fun toasts at dinner and dancing!”

And while there were no strippers or fancy dress, the crowd enjoyed a night on the tiles where Jessica Simpson was ready and able to show off her amazing new figure, courtesy of her hard work and a little help from Weight Watchers.

“[They] were just excited to have some fun and celebrate with the people they love,” Terblanche said.

Fans are getting very excited about Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s upcoming wedding. This combined bachelor/bachelorette party served to move Jess and Eric one giant step closer toward that exciting day.

  • Jessica Simpson Sexy in Swimsuit After Weight Loss

Jessica Simpson is looking super sexy these days following her significant weight loss. She achieved her weight loss goals through Weight Watchers, the company for which she has long been a spokesperson. New shots of Simpson in a swimsuit show off just how sexy she is.

Jess’s new swimsuit hugged her curves and accentuated her slim and trim waistline and long, lean legs. She showed off her new swimwear, accentuated by chic wedge sandals over the long Memorial Weekend. Jess was holding a golf club as she stood proudly in her one-piece suit, replete with alluring cutouts.

“If I’m in a bathing suit I should pose proudly,” she captioned a stunning photo of herself posing in super sexy mode. She posed poolside at an undisclosed location.

Simpson talked about her weight loss struggles–especially after the birth of her two children–on an episode of Good Morning America last fall.

“I was so insecure—I couldn’t even believe what I weighed,” she admitted. “I don’t think that I ever expected myself to see the numbers that I have seen on the scale.”

She also added that women should never feel guilty about their pregnancy weight gains.

“You are creating a life, and honestly, it’s not easy. It is a really hard thing to go through. And you deserve to eat your ice cream. You deserve to have your pancakes. Do whatever you want to do and then afterwards just know that you have to work really hard,” she said. “I had to learn that with my first and second pregnancy. My first pregnancy I ate a lot more, but my second pregnancy…I ate what I wanted to eat but I stayed active, and I think because I had gained so much weight with my first that I had to stay active throughout my second because I didn’t know what to do with myself if I didn’t.”

Jessica Simpson and her fiance, retired NFL tight end Eric Johnson, are planning to get married in 2014. They have two children together–daughter Maxwell, who is 2, and son Ace, who is just 11 months old.

If anyone knows about weight loss it’s Jessica Simpson. Following the births of her two children just over a year apart she fully understands the changes a woman’s body can undergo. She worked hard at Weight Watchers, losing the weight in a healthy manner, and can show off sexy swimsuit shots as a result of that today.

  • Jessica Simpson Shows Off Some Leg At White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Jessica Simpson isn’t the first person you’d expect to see at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. In fact, you might think the singer/actress wouldn’t show up to the event at all. Show up she did though and she even managed to show off some leg to the world.

It was reported earlier that Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to hear the president talk, enjoy some jokes and possibly even enjoy the food. The event might not have been that important, however, as Simpson’s mind was obviously elsewhere – the after party.

Over on Instagram, Simpson shared a pic of herself and friends posing as they were preparing to head to the after party. She doesn’t provide many details regarding the dinner or the after party, but the caption on the photo at least proves that she categorize events in chronological order – “After the prez it’s the after party.”

You can check out Simpson’s figure and a bit of leg in the photo below:

She obviously looks great, but what’s her secret? The celebrity says her success in weight management comes from Weight Watchers. You may be the cynical type who disregards Simpson merely for the fact that she’s a paid spokesperson for Weight Watchers, but you may just change your tune after watching her testimony. After all, it’s not like wealthy celebrities can afford personal trainers and the healthy food needed to effectively lose weight.

Anyway, we don’t have any details of what happened at the after party, but it was surely epic. I can only imagine Barack Obama laying down some hot tunes while Secretary of State John Kerry improved diplomatic relations with the dance floor. Either way, we can be sure that Simpson and her fiance had a fine time.

  • Jessica Simpson Shows Slim Figure, Down 50 Pounds

Jessica Simpson showed off a toned, sleek figure at the White House Correspondents’ dinner last night in Washington D.C. With her fiancé Eric Johnson on her arm, Jessica, 33, wowed as she breezed by in a strapless floor-length, flower-patterned dress. Jessica is famously known as the face of Weight Watchers, a program she dedicated herself to after the birth of her two-year-old daughter, Maxwell.

About her working transformation, Jessica says, “I love this body and what it’s capable of, no matter what size, but this version feels really good. My body, like my life, is a work in progress, but I’m getting there, with Weight Watchers.” Jessica recently celebrated a milestone of 50 pounds of weight loss after the birth of her son, Ace, and has been seen around Los Angeles and D.C. flaunting her new figure.

After the White House dinner, Jessica changed into a sleek black dress with a deep neckline for the Vanity Fair cocktail reception. Looks like Jess is proud of her new body, and simply wants to celebrate it!

Jessica’s secret to success? Her two kids, Maxwell and Ace. Playing with her family, going on walks, and gardening have kept her active and healthy. “I really do feel this need to be the best role model for my children,” Jessica said back in January. Jessica also admitted she wanted to slim down for her upcoming wedding to fiancé and former NFL player Eric Johnson. The date hasn’t been finalized, but Jess said they’re looking to tie the knot sometime this year. “We need to get married,” Jessica says. “I already feel like we’re like an old married couple. If he wanted to run, he could have run when I was hormonal and pregnant.” Looks like she has a keeper!

And lastly – could Jessica’s slimed-down figure mean she’s ready for a comeback? Hollywood Reporter revealed last month that Jessica has signed back on with UTA for representation, a signal that she’s ready to come back as a singer and actress. Jessica decidedly took the last three years off to build her family with Eric; however, her designer line ‘The Jessica Simpson Collection’ still brings in $750 million annually. Jessica’s line, which launched in 2005, includes clothing, shoes, jewelry, and household items, and still going strong. Even with all the accomplishments, we still can’t wait to see a Jessica Simpson comeback!

  • Jessica Simpson Sizzles at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Jessica Simpson exuded class at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, and she added some sizzle to that class with her newly define waistline and stunning figure. She and fiance Eric Johnson attended the gala together, but all eyes were on Jess and her strapless floor-length Carolina Herrera flowered gown. She accessorized her look with a bracelet and earrings designed by Neil Lane.

A spokesperson for Weight Watchers, Simpson looks fabulous after having two children in the past few years.

“I love this body and what it’s capable of—no matter what size,” Simpson says in a Weight Watchers commercial. “But this version, feels really good. My body, like my life, is a work in progress, but I’m getting there, with Weight Watchers.”

This isn’t Jessica’s first reveal, however, since her weight loss. She and Johnson were spotted at a Mexican restaurant called Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas just a few days ago. She wore snug jeans and a sexy black top that revealed her black bra underneath.

Even though she has kept up her Weight Watchers eating plan, Jessica Simpson has lost a good portion of her weight chasing her two small children around. She also loves taking walks–with or without the kids–and sometimes works up a sweat gardening her her own back yard, too.

During an interview with Good Morning America, Simpson said she wants to set a good example for others–especially for her children.

“I really do feel this need to be the best role model for my children,” she said. “I want [Maxwell] to look up to me and want to be like me…I don’t want to give her any false perception of what is real and what’s important.”

Jessica Simpson has certainly met her post-pregnancy weight loss goals and showed it off in style at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend. Her family activities alone will no doubt help her keep the weight off.

  • Jessica Simpson Stuns After Healthy Weight Loss

Jessica Simpson has been working hard to lose weight after her second pregnancy and the determination has really paid off.

The 33-year-old singer flaunted her svelte figure Sunday in a spring-honoring canary yellow dress and white high heels while attending the John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit in West Hollywood.

The singer began her weight-loss journey by signing an endorsement deal with Weight Watchers in 2012 during her first pregnancy with her daughter, Maxwell.

She quickly became pregnant with her son, Ace, and had to curtail her weight loss until after the delivery.

But, once she was given the green light, she was on her way with the help of Weight Watchers.

After several months of hard work, Simpson showed off a 70-pound weight loss in a Weight Watchers ad.

“This body made two amazing little human beings. I love this body and what it’s capable of — no matter what size,” she said in the ad. “But this version feels really good.”

Simpson has been careful with her methods, opting to go slowly and avoid any fad diets or quick-fixes. “I really do feel this need to be the best role model for my children,” she said in a Good Morning America interview in January. “I want [Maxwell] to look up to me and want to be like me…I don’t want to give her any false perception of what is real and what’s important.”

  • Jennifer Hudson, Weight Watchers Part Ways

Jennifer Hudson, Weight Watchers Part Ways

After four years and losing 80 pounds,  singer-actress Jennifer Hudson ended her stint as a Weight Watchers spokesperson, Us Weekly reported Saturday.

The American Idol alum first teamed up with the company in 2011 when she was a size 12. She now fits into a size 6. Her departure was a mutual decision.

“After four years of a successful and rewarding partnership, Weight Watchers and Jennifer Hudson are ending our official partnership, though we’re confident Jennifer will remain a Lifetime Member,” a Weight Watchers representative said in a statement.

“Jennifer’s healthy lifestyle and successful weight loss has inspired so many – from her friends and family to our members and staff, as well as people around the world – and we know that inspiration lives on,” the statement continued.

“We will continue to support Jennifer in maintaining her healthy lifestyle and wish her the very best in her personal and professional life,” the statement read.

Weight Watchers also thanked Jennifer Hudson via Twitter Friday.

The 32-year-old Dreamgirls actress admitted in an interview for the December 2012 of Redbook, in which she appeared on the cover, that her transformation was complete.

“But I hear all the time, ‘Don’t lose any more weight; you need to stop.’ People are under the impression that I’m still losing, but I’m not,” said Hudson.

  • Jennifer Hudson and Weight Watchers Part Ways

Jennifer Hudson and Weight Watchers–the plan for which she served as spokesperson and with which she lost 80 pounds–are parting ways. Her contract was about to come to an end and it was a mutually agreeable separation when she chose not to extend it. The former Dreamgirls star doesn’t even resemble the woman she was when she appeared in the 2006 film. She looks years younger and so much healthier now than she did eight years ago.

“I have chosen to step away from my role as ambassador and I am excited for the year to come, with many new projects and lots of new music,” Judson said as part of a statement issued to PEOPLE magazine.

“My experience with Weight Watchers has truly been life changing. I am grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and will always take it with me.”

A Weight Watchers representative chimed in on the departure.

“We’re confident Jennifer will remain a Lifetime Member. Jennifer’s healthy lifestyle and successful weight loss has inspired so many – from her friends and family to our members and staff, as well as people around the world – and we know that inspiration lives on.”

Jennifer Hudson seemed to grasp the entire premise behind Weight Watchers and used it to her advantage.

“The key about losing weight: You have to do it for you,” she told PEOPLE.

She never felt pressured to lose weight in order to meet the often unreachable Hollywood standards.

Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson have appeared in a few Weight Watchers commercials together, but this means Hudson will officially pass the reins to Simpson. She will now be the only official Weight Watchers spokesperson throughout all of 2014.

Hudson deserves kudos for sticking to her weight loss plan despite her crazy schedule. As a mom and a performer–not to mention the stress of losing her mother and brother to murder a few years ago–she has put her health first, and she now reaps the benefits of a healthy, svelte figure as a result of it. She sets a fine example for women everywhere who strive to make permanent lifestyle changes.

  • Jennifer Hudson Parts Ways With Weight Watchers

Jennifer Hudson, 32, has met her weight-loss goals — 80 pounds lost — and has deemed it time to part ways from Weight Watchers.

The Dreamgirls actress announced the mutual decision to end her partnership of four years with the weight-loss company.

“After four years of a successful and rewarding partnership, Weight Watchers and Jennifer Hudson are ending our official partnership, though we’re confident Jennifer will remain a Lifetime Member,” a Weight Watchers rep told Us Weekly in a statement.

“Jennifer’s healthy lifestyle and successful weight loss has inspired so many – from her friends and family to our members and staff, as well as people around the world – and we know that inspiration lives on,” the statement said. “We will continue to support Jennifer in maintaining her healthy lifestyle and wish her the very best in her personal and professional life.”

“I have chosen to step away from my role as ambassador and I am excited for the year to come, with many new projects and lots of new music,” Hudson says in a statement to PEOPLE.

“My experience with Weight Watchers has truly been life changing. I am grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and will always take it with me.”

In November 2012, Hudson said that her goal had been met. “I’m at the weight I want to be,” she said in and interview with Redbook. “But I hear all the time, ‘Don’t lose any more weight, you need to stop.’ People are under the impression that I’m still losing but I’m not.”

Jessica Simpson, 33, is the latest big name spokesperson for the company. Since joining Weight Watchers, she lost 70 pounds since giving birth to daughter Maxwell, 23 months, and has continued to show off her slimmed down figure since giving birth to son Ace in June.

On March 7, she showed off her slim figure on Instagram wearing a tight white T-shirt.

  • Jennifer Hudson Says Goodbye To Weight Watchers

After four years and a new svelte figure, singer and actress Jennifer Hudson and Weight Watchers are parting ways.

Hudson says the experience being the company’s ambassador was tremendous, but due to the other projects she has on the shelf, she wants to step down. But there’s no hard feelings, she says.

“My experience with Weight Watchers has truly been life changing,” stated Hudson. “I am grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and will always take it with me. I have chosen to step away from my role as ambassador and I am excited for the year to come, with many new projects and lots of new music.”

In a 2012 interview with the Huffington Post, Hudson said she wasn’t used to being told how wonderful she looks.

People commenting on my looks “can get overwhelming at times,” she admitted. “At times I’m still trying to catch up mentally. I’ll be like, ‘Why are you saying that? I didn’t put on anything special today,’ and then I’ll be like, ‘Oh right, I forgot I have a new appearance now.’”

And Hudson said getting her family to lose weight was probably the best part of working with Weight Watchers, because a lot of them are really healthy now.

“Over 175 family members and they’ve lost over 2,000 pounds collectively,” said the former American Idol contestant. “I’m so proud of all of them. They’ve all supported me in everything I’ve ever done, so I was blown away when they decided to take this journey seriously and do Weight Watchers.”

But despite losing all of that weight–which happened to be about 80 pounds or so–Hudson says she’s sad that society is so body-conscious, and it bothered her that people treated her better after she lost weight.

“I always say you never understand unless you’ve been on a journey like this,” she said. “People are friendlier; there are more opportunities, more flexibility in so many different ways. I think it’s messed up that people are so image-driven and your appearance affects the way people treat you. It’s crazy and it may be something we do subconsciously.”

  • Jessica Simpson Looking Better Than Ever

Jessica Simpson is one hell of a working woman. Not only is she the proud mommy of two kids, she’s been representing Weight Watchers as their spokesperson. The gorgeous blonde has clearly been working hard because results like that don’t lie.

A stunning picture of the singing mom popped on Weight Watchers official Instagram account causing quite the buzz. Not only does Simpson look healthy, the 33-year-old looks truly happy.

In the picture a white dress hugs Simpson’s beautiful curves, showing off the newly refined physique. The photo was captioned asking Weight-Watchers why they enjoy attending meetings.

“It reminds me that you don’t have to do this alone,” she said in a recent ad for the weight-loss program. “The meetings keep me focused and motivated. I can honestly say I’ve never been happier.”

Simpson’s path to weight-loss started after the birth of her first and second child. She had also mentioned her upcoming wedding to fiancé Eric Johnson has extra motivation to feeling good again.

“The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells which is exciting…I think it’s about time,” she explained. “Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”

Anyone else excited to see this wedding dress?

But just like a lot of us, Simpson explains that her mission to be a healthier person isn’t just about the wedding.

“I’m just trying to feel good in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. I can’t wait to be able to feel just comfortable in my skin and know that I’m back to the person I’ve been before. I know this time I’m going to be so much stronger and so much more empowered, because I really earned it and I really got here, and took the steps to get here,” she said.

Jessica Simpson Has Good Reason To Stick With Weight Watchers

Jessica Simpson has been a fan of Weight Watchers since she had her first child; the singer used the program to slim down and lose the baby weight, but controversy arose when she quickly became pregnant with her second child while still on the program. Rumors began to fly that the company would drop her as a spokesperson, but after she came through her second pregnancy–and a slew of online bullies who couldn’t let it go that she’d gained the weight back–Simpson got back on her regimen and has been working hard to get back in shape.

“Pregnancy is a lot. It was hard to do two so close together,” she said in an interview after giving birth to son Ace. “I have this huge sense of accomplishment, and I feel in my heart that I’m done. But obviously, accidents do happen!”

Simpson’s new ad for WW was released earlier this week and highlights her hard work with a tight white dress, and she says she has a very good reason to keep up with the program and stick to her plan: her upcoming wedding.

“I have a newfound determination that I’m really proud of. I can honestly say that I’ve never been happier,” she says in the ad. “The new year will definitely bring on the wedding bells which is exciting…I think it’s about time. Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you’ll know.”
