  • Gisele Bundchen Bares All For Vogue Paris

Gisele Bundchen took it all off for Vogue Paris‘ 95th anniversary.

Sporting little more than a single thigh-high black boot for a photo on the inside pages of the magazine, Bundchen graces the Vogue cover wearing only a hat and a pair of bikini panties with the word Gisele written across her bottom.

Gisele Bundchen posted the photos on her Instagram account last week and feature the Brazilian beauty in all her glory.

In one post, she is seen from behind in the same bikini bottoms, a white tee and very colorful knee socks, with the caption “@vogueparis @emmanuellealt @mariotestino.”

The wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and the mother of two also shared a photo of the cover. Gisele let the photo speak for itself and didn’t offer a caption.

    .

Recent rumors that Gisele and embattled Tom Brady were on rocky ground seem to have abated in recent weeks after Brady’s suspension for Deflategate was overturned.

Since then, the couple continue to love on their son and daughter as well as Brady’s son from a previous relationship with Blue Bloods star Bridget Moynahan.

Retired from the runway, Gisele Bundchen continues to model and share her gorgeous shots on social media.

  • Sienna Miller Talks About ‘The Curse Of Motherhood’ And Being A Single Mom

Being a mother could bring out the best and the worst in you, especially if you’re doing it on your own.

Sienna Miller had shared her motherhood experiences, the good and the bad, on Vogue.

“Obviously when you have a baby it’s the most incredible experience but your life is also catapulted into this chaos and you are exhausted,” Miller told Vogue. “I could literally get on this table and fall asleep.” In fact, she’s too busy with being a mother, she doesn’t have time even for shopping. “I don’t remember the last time I went shopping. I swear to god, I wear jeans and trainers and a T-shirt most days,” Miller said. Miller recently separated with longtime partner Tom Sturridge and is now raising their 3-year-old daughter Marlowe on her own.

But even though it’s hard for her, she wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything else.

“It was like, ‘There you are — that’s what I have been missing.’ Like we’re both in on something only we know. An amazing sense of being complicit with a little being,” Miller said about welcoming her daughter.

As of now, Sienna Miller is trying to manage her time for work and raising her lovely daughter.

“Everything’s shifting,” she explained to the mag. “It’s actually been the s**ttiest year, and amazing. It’s always yin and yang. I feel like if you’re excelling in one area, it’s hard to manage both and I do feel like the work is going really well.”

And just like any other mom, Sienna Miller wants to be better.

Miller told Vogue, “I’d like to be better at managing things; I’d like to be more super, although we’re never going to feel it, even if we are.” Miller also said, “That’s the curse of motherhood, we just run ourselves ragged. I’m just trying to get a sense of what that guilt is. I sometimes feel like it’s a totally invented emotion. It’s strange to be punishing ourselves this way. It’s not healthy.”

  • Kaia Gerber Appears Alongside Mom Cindy Crawford, Brother Presley in September’s ‘Vogue’

Kaia Gerber is certainly following in her famous mom’s footsteps, and when you see her–along with mom Cindy Crawford and brother Presley inside the September issue of Vogue–you’ll see why.

There’s no question at all that Kaia Gerber is simply a younger version of Cindy Crawford–and she’s only 13 years old.

Cindy Crawford is incredibly proud of both her son and her daughter. She was eager to share word of their Vogue spread via social media, too.

“For Cindy Crawford and family an island getaway in central Ontario is dressed-down, off-the-radar bliss,” the article reads, transitioning into an exclusive look at tir private island retreat.

“There are days—not up here, thankfully—when I feel I need to deliver that Cindy Crawford thing,” she says in the interview. “But I’ve gained so much confidence with age. That’s something I never felt early on, even if my generation of models was paid to radiate it—the shoulder pads, glamazon, hair out to there, boobs up to here. It would have been nice to have all that confidence in my 20-year-old body.”

“The point here is to slow everything down. Life moves quickly, but it will wait,” Cindy Crawford adds.

Kaia Gerber has long wanted to be a model just like her mom. Starting small, she snagged a few modeling gigs, and it definitely didn’t take long before she signed with a big modeling agency. IMG Models quickly led the way to Kaia Gerber doing a spread for Italian Vogue.

A photo posted by IMGmodels (@imgmodels) on

Presley and Kaia Gerber no doubt make Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber very proud, but there’s something to be said for very special mother-daughter relationships–especially when that daughter follows in her mom’s footsteps.

Expect to see big things–very, very big things–from Kaia Gerber.

  • Nicole Kidman: Aussie Actress Talks About Marriage And Career With ‘Vogue’

Nicole Kidman answered 73 questions by Vogue’s cameraman as she gave a tour of her farm estate in Bunya Hill in the Sutton Forest village of New South Wales.

The cameraman first asked Kidman about the coolest thing about Sydney and the 48-year-old actress quickly said, “the people.” Turns out that her country life in Sydney shares something in common with her home in Nashville — “community spirit.”

During the interview, the Moulin Rouge! star also talked about her life with musician husband Keith Urban and their two children.

According to Kidman, the biggest surprise of her life was discovering that she was pregnant. She further shared that the best part of being a mother is “everything: the love, the joy, the purpose.”

And though she wasn’t familiar with Urban’s music before meeting him, she is now his biggest fan and insists that she is a country music fan as well.

Kidman also revealed why she chose diverse roles as she hopped from hit dramas to “avant-garde” and small independent films in an interview with Vogue’s Jason Gay.

Apparently, the late Stanley Kubrick advised  Kidman to always listen to someone’s idea.

Kidman worked with Kubrick in the film Eyes Wide Shut in 1999.

Thus, Kidman took on risky roles and played a villainess in Paddington, starred as Grace Kelly in Grace of Monaco and accepted the starring role in the drama-musical Moulin Rouge!

Director Michael Grandage described Kidman as fearless, as she continually chose new projects “over anything else.”

And though Kidman has worked with renowned directors like Kubrick, Luhrmann, Gus Van Sant, Jane Campion and Lars von Trier, she also collaborated with new directors such as Kim Farrant in Strangerland and John Cameron Mitchell in the film Rabbit Hole.

This fall, Kidman is set to return to the stage in Photograph 51, which will run in London’s West End.

  • Nicole Kidman Gives Tour Of Her Australian Farm, Answers Personal Questions

Nicole Kidman looked flawless on the latest cover of Vogue in a sequined top and her blonde hair swept to the side.

But, the most entertaining facet of Nicole Kidman’s photo spread with Vogue was her participation in their famous 73-question interview.

Vogue joined Nicole Kidman on the Australian farm that she shares with her husband, country singer Keith Urban, and their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 7, and Faith, 4.

The farmhouse that Nicole Kidman calls home was simpler than many famous movie stars’ abodes.

That goes for what Nicole Kidman holds high in value, as well.

When Nicole Kidman was asked about her favorite part of living on a farm, she said it was the “simplicity”, the “air”, and the “peace” that go along with it.

When Nicole Kidman walked through the stunning kitchen and dining area of her home, she tripped on a toy, which prompted her interviewer to ask about the best and worst part of being a mom.

Nicole Kidman said the best thing about motherhood is “everything — the love, the joy, the purpose,” and the worst thing to her would be “knowing I won’t be here forever so I won’t always be able to take care of them.”

About her husband, Nicole Kidman admitted that she didn’t like country music much before she met him.

She said, “I didn’t know him so I couldn’t really be a fan, but now, I’m his biggest fan.”

Didn’t Nicole Kidman look amazing and happy in her interview?

  • Anna Wintour: Why She Doesn’t Attend Met Gala After Parties

Anna Wintour visited Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week, and chatted with host Seth Meyers about the Met Gala. The Vogue editor-in-chief dished about different celebrities and what they wore to the big event, and even dished on why she doesn’t partake in a tradition after the big evening.

Wintour touched on Anne Hathway’s gold lame Ralph Lauren gown.

“I thought she looked amazing,” Wintour said of the actress who once played a character inspired by the editor’s assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. “I have to admit I was slightly confused by the China reference, but I did my research and I found out that Anne and Ralph Lauren had actually based this dress on a modern Chinese artist, whose work features hip-hop artists and people wearing hoodies. So there you go, it’s brilliant!”

Anna Wintour had very positive things to say about Justin Bieber–even after Seth Meyers said his custom Balmain blazer paired with an asymmetrical button-down shirt, a black cummerbund, and black trousers looked funny.

“Now come on, Seth,” she said. “This was actually one of my favorites. These are all Chinese dragons and apparently that’s aged gold bullion thread… as it should be.”

So what tradition regarding the Met Gala does Anna Wintour forgo?

She doesn’t go to the after parties.

“I don’t go to the after parties,” she shared. “I think people always feel if I go to the after parties, they have to behave well, which, after all, is not the point of an after party. So, Rihanna and Lady Gaga were the hosts of the after parties. I retire with George Clooney.”

Speaking of George Clooney–Anna Wintour said he could where anything he wanted becaause “he has Amal on his arm and he’s George Clooney–he doesn’t have to wear anything.”

She makes a very good point. George Clooney doesn’t have to wear a thing.

Are you surprised by Anna Wintour’s reason behind not attending the after parties? That almost makes her seem approachable–doesn’t it?

Wintour definitely seem approachable on Late Night With Seth Meyers. In fact, the Vogue editor-in-chief was really very funny.

  • Karlie Kloss Shedding Her Victoria’s Secret Angel Wings

Karlie Kloss is bidding adieu to Victoria’s Secret and shedding her Angel wings in favor of a different lifestyle. So what’s behind such a monumental decision?

One source claims it’s because of her boyfriend, Joshua Kushner. Karlie Kloss met Kushner at a Victoria’s Secret party back in 2012. It seems he was instrumental in urging her not to resign for her Angel wings when her contract expired.

Another source, however, says that’s not true at all–claiming Karlie Kloss turned in her Angel wings to concentrate on college. She will soon be a student at NYU, and felt that renewing her contract with Victoria’s Secret wouldn’t allow her the time she needs to get an education.

Karlie Kloss will reportedly start classes this coming fall at NYU’s Gallatin School. This by no means indicates she is giving up her modeling career, however. She will still work for Nike, L’Oréal Paris, Joe Fresh and Kate Spade. She walked in Tom Ford’s show for New York Fashion Week on Saturday.

Karlie Kloss has made news in recent weeks for hanging out with Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner, and for covering Vogue with Taylor Swift.

The New York Post tried contacting both Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner regarding the first rumor about Karlie ditching her Angel wings, but they received no reply.

People magazine received a statement from Ed Razek at Victoria’s Secret, who confirmed that Karlie Kloss is in fact turning in those Angel wings.

“Karlie and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career. As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfill her myriad commitments,” he said in the statement. “Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract. Karlie is one of a kind, a very close friend, someone I truly admire and love. She is, without question, one of the best models ever. But she is an even better person. Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me.”

  • Karlie Kloss, Taylor Swift Cover March Issue of ‘Vogue’

Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift grace the cover of the March issue of Vogue, and within its pages are a range of sultry shots portraying the many facets of female friendships. The two ladies are seen “cuddling in the sunlight, baking cookies and strumming on a guitar,” as well as indulging in selfies while riding in a convertible.

“People had been telling us for years that we needed to meet,” Swift tells Vogue of Karlie Kloss. “I remember makeup artists and hair people going, ‘God, she and Karlie would be best friends.”

After model Lily Aldrich introduced the two, Taylor Swift says their fast friendship was immediate.

“We were just like, ‘You. My friend. Now,’” Swift says.

People will be hard pressed not to wonder if Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift are related when they see the Vogue photos. Their fair hair and skin–along with their slender figures–are remarkably similar.

Karlie Kloss was also spotted on February 11th at the amfAR New York Gala. She was once again beyond sexy–this time in a black gown that bared one shoulder and featured a thigh-high slit.

Do you like Karlie Kloss better as she appeared at the amfAR New York Gala–all dolled up for a fancy–and very sexy–night on the town? Or do you prefer her look as Taylor Swift’s BFF in the recent Vogue issue?

Either way there’s no question that Karlie Kloss is among the sexiest models around.

  • Gisele Bundchen Wants To Live In A Tree House

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady are obviously in love and sharing in a great marriage.

The two of them have been together since 2006 and have two beautiful children.

Gisele Bundchen is living the good life. She recently revealed to Vogue that she knew Tom was the one for her right away.

She said of her hubby, “I knew Tom was the one straightaway. I could see it in his eyes that he was a man with integrity who believes in the same things I do.”

I guess sometimes when you know, you know!

Gisele is rarely seen in anything other than high heels, glamourous clothes, and perfectly coiffed hair. But when she is at home, she is just a mother and wife.

“I’m a model as a job, I’m Gisele, the daughter of Valdir and Vania, I’m a woman, I am a model. When I go home and shut the door, that’s it. If I want to expose something, it should be my choice,” Gisele Bundchen said.

However much Gisele Bundchen gets to enjoy the expensive clothes, the best make-up, and first class hairdressers, she had a surprising dream.

“My earliest memory was going to my grandma’s house, milking the cows and collecting the eggs from the chickens. If I could choose, I’d be bare feet, with animals all around me and living in a tree house. Like Tarzan and Jane, that’s my dream. I’m at my happiest around nature.”

That’s amazing! It’s not that often that you hear a mega-star say something so…normal.

Gisele Bundchen might someday have her tree house and animals, but for now she will have to make due with limitless money, incredible fame, and her gorgeous husband.

    Hang in there, Gisele!

What do you think of Gisele Bundchen’s dream? Have you had a similar one?

  • Gisele Bundchen Reveals How She Knew Tom Brady Was “The One”

Tom Brady is one lucky man. Not only did he lead the New England Patriots to victory, he also has a stunning wife to celebrate with. After the Super Bowl win, the quarterback was spotted celebrating with his kids and Bundchen, who graces the March cover for British Vogue.

In the candid interview with the mag, the world’s highest paid model revealed how she knew Brady was the one right after meeting the football player. “I could see it in his eyes that he was a man with integrity who believes in the same things I do,” she shared.

It’s Bundchen’s 14th cover for the popular magazine, and on this one she sports a natural look while wearing an olive green top with a sultry black belt. The supermodel gave an inside look into her life as a model and as a mother to their lovely kids. She credited her upbringing in Brazil as a guide in raising their children. “I’m very nurturing, I come from a large family and my parents were loving,” she recalled. Brady and Bunchen has two kids, Ben and Vivian, and Giselle is also mom to John, Tom’s child from a previous marriage.

She also talked about separating her work from her life at home, saying: “When I go home and shut the door, that’s it. If I want to expose something, it should be my choice.” While Brady is a massive football superstar in the US, Bundchen is way bigger in her homeland. Shasta Darlington from CNN noticed how the Patriots star player is only known as “Giselle Bundchen’s husband” in Brazil.

The Brady-Bundchen family is slowly becoming America’s next favorite family after the Obamas, the Carters, and the Jolie-Pitts. Their cute family photos from the Super Bowl celebrations has been circulating all over the Internet shortly after the event took place last Sunday night.

  • Kim Kardashian Talks About Her Haters, Teaching Nori to Handle It

Kim Kardashian-West has more than her share of haters. In an interview accompanying her recent Vogue Australia cover shoot, Kardashian talked about her detractors.

“Everyone has critics,” she said. “I think it’s really hard to live in a world where there’s so many people judging you.”

But Kim rolls with those punches adroitly, promising to train up her daughter North to handle them, as well.

“I’m gonna teach my daughter to be really strong,” she said.

Kim Kardashian had a heck of a 2014. She and beau Kanye West got married. She released a game app that climbed high and fast in app stores, making her a millions more.

Then came Kim’s famous “break the Internet” shoot for Paper magazine. The haters came pouring out of the woodwork for that one. In the wake of that event, which was a huge net positive for Kardashian, Piers Morgan rode to her defense, claiming to be an admirer of Kim.

“Of course, she’s heard it all before, ever since that sex tape was leaked and propelled her into the kind of instant, gigantic cyberspace notoriety that can either crush a woman or make her so strong and impervious to criticism that she builds a $1 billion brand.

“Kim’s in the latter category and people hate her for it.

“They resent her global fame, her immense wealth, her marriage to one of the world’s most brilliant music icons. Above all, they loathe her resolute refusal to bow to all the bitter venom that spews its way in her direction.”

Kim addressed one reason some people may hate her.

“I think the biggest misconception about me is probably that I don’t work hard and everything comes easy,” she said. “I like to prove people wrong and just live my life and do what I do and work hard and I’m proud of that.”

Morgan summed up his take on Kardashian’s haters this way:

“Kim Kardashian-West’s laughing all the way to the bank. And all you lazy, snide, snobbish, patronizing and hypocritical critics can go kiss her ass – there’s plenty of room.”

Kim posted a sample of her Vogue Australia work to her Instagram account, saying:

“I truly am so honored to have worked with one of style icons, fashion director @Centenera for this cover for @VogueAustralia and shoot in one of my favorite places in the world, Australia! Thank you Gilles Bensimon for these gorgeous pics! Can’t wait to see the rest out Monday!”

  • Lily Aldridge Reveals How She Prepares For Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Lily Aldridge is definitely one of the more recognizable faces in Victoria’s Secret’s roster right. She was one of the seven Angels that Victoria’s Secret featured prominently in their annual fashion show, which aired on December 9. Vogue released a short video that documents Aldridge’s preparation for the show. A film crew was tasked to follow the model in the months leading up to the show, documenting her intense workout regimen. According to Vogue, Aldridge does 60- or 90-minute workouts three times a week two months before, kicking it up to six days a week as the show approaches.

The video focuses on Aldridge’s various activities to stay in shape including her morning routine of having a healthy smoothie coupled with a yoga session. She also does Ballet Beautiful, a workout routine that “mixes the athleticism and grace of classical ballet with targeted exercises and stretches that sculpt a dancer’s toned, lean physique”.

The video also shows Aldridge doing resistance training at modelFit, a quick run for cardio, a private spin session at Soul Cycle, and a sparring session at Gotham Gym. Aside from her training regimen, Aldridge also makes it a point to eat healthy. One part of the video shows her preparing a healthy dinner comprised of fish for protein and roasted vegetables.

Aldridge may just have to add one more workout to her regimen. She recently went out with fellow model Gigi Hadid to attend a Beyonce-themed dance class in New York. Right after the session, Hadid tweeted, “@LilyAldridge and I just did a Beyoncé dance class together. It was epic. Video may or may not be released. TBD 😉 LOVE YOU BIG SIS”.

Lily is married to Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill, but the model has been spotted recently without her wedding ring. Followill was also noticeably absent during the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, sparking rumors that all is not well with the couple.

  • Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Not Deeply Tasteful Says Vogue Editor

While Kim Kardashian’s Paper magazine shoot made the news, the celebrity was also featured on another controversial cover a while back. Kardashian and her then-fiancé Kanye West appeared on the April cover of Vogue magazine. And while the photos were actually quite tame, the inclusion of West and Kardashian in the prestigious magazine was not deemed tasteful by some readers. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, recently gave a talk at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During the talk, she candidly discussed the reasons why she chose West and Kardashian for the cover.

“I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine,” Wintour, who has been Vogue’s EIC since 1988, explained. “Nobody would talk about us. It’s very important that people do talk about us.” And to her credit, people did talk about them. Some even claimed that West begged for the couple to be included on the cover, however, Wintour denied these claims. “He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true,” she said in an interview with US Weekly back in March.

While Wintour may have implied that West and Kardashian are not “deeply tasteful”, she also delivered another subtle backhanded compliment during her talk. “I hope another Kim Kardashian comes along this year!”

Wintour also compared the controversy behind the West-Kardashian shoot to the time when she chose Madonna to appear on the cover of the magazine. She said, “The first celebrity that I put on the cover of Vogue was Madonna, and that was considered completely controversial at the time too. It’s such a long time ago probably no one remembers, but she was a very controversial figure. Now she’s part of the establishment.”

  • Amy Adams Dazzles In Fairy Tale Photoshoot For Vogue Cover

Gracing the cover of the latest issue of Vogue, Golden Globe winner Amy Adams took part in an eccentric photoshoot that had her dressed up as characters in fairy tales. On the cover, Adams wore a sheer black dress with leaf-patterned detail and her red hair swept to the side, but the American Hustle star also donned costumes for her fantasy-inspired fashion spread within the magazine’s pages.

One photo portrays Adams as an ice princess on top of a snowy mountain, while another photo shows her as a ballerina puppet being manipulated by director Tim Burton. Her latest film project, Big Eyes, was directed by Burton, who raved in the Vogue interview about what a nuanced actor Adams was. “She brought something so subtle to this; I am not used to dealing in subtlety. It almost felt like a silent movie sometimes,” said Burton.

Adams also revealed in the interview that she didn’t always find it easy to be an actor. She said that she was a “mess” during the first few years she tried to make it in Los Angeles. “I was able to do everything from day player to guest star to small parts in movies,” she said. “I felt a lot of pressure, but I just wasn’t able to get there in the audition room. Or even in meetings. My squirreliness would come out, and people wouldn’t feel confident. I’ve always been someone who had, like, a spirit of perseverance, but I actually almost quit because I was starting not to like who I was.”

Although Adams has had a prolific and successful career since her early days, she confessed that it didn’t prevent her from having a meltdown when she turned 40 in August of this year. “I was like, ‘I’m 40 and I still care what people think of me; I still don’t do laundry so I’m always out of things; I’m just not a grown-up at all,’ and I had this expectation that I would be by this age,” Adams said.

  • Amy Adams: “I’m 40 and I Still Care What People Think of Me.”

Fame and success can’t stop Amy Adams from being a worrier-turning 40 added to her long list of concerns.

Despite Adams’ five Academy Award nominations, her self-doubt persists. Nothing may stop the Man of Steel actress from her daily stress.

Adams shared in the December issue of Vogue some insight into her personal and professional struggles.

It feels like I worry about everything — mothering, relationships… I think it’s because I want to continue to grow; I don’t like being stagnant. Especially when you watch how fast children grow, and what they take into their soul and their intellect. It’s like we make this decision to stop growing. I don’t want to do that.

Most people feel stressed when they begin to reach certain ages. Adams is no different, because turning 40 in August worried her extremely.

I was like, I’m 40 and I still care what people think of me; I still don’t do laundry so I’m always out of things; I’m just not a grown-up at all,’ and I had this expectation that I would be by this age. It wasn’t, ‘Oh, I’m getting old and I’m going to lose something vibrant about myself.’ It was more that I was just ‘so disappointed with myself.

Adams’ confession proves the age old cliche: Money doesn’t solve all problems.

Adams also revealed to Vogue that she’s a perfectionist, which makes her job difficult. “I’m never satisfied with the take. I’ll walk away from it, but I could go and go and go. I’ve had to learn to be OK with it.”

During the beginning of her career, Adams found it difficult to keep her composure during auditions. Her “squirreliness would come out,” she said. Adams continued: “People wouldn’t feel confident. I’ve always been someone who had, like, a spirit of perseverance, but I actually almost quit because I was starting not to like who I was.”

    Post by Her.
The self-proclaimed people pleaser eventually decided to stick with acting due to advice from her lawyer. She was told she was doing something right if she kept getting jobs. Adams' latest movie, Big Eyes, hits theaters on December 25.

  • Kendall Jenner Becomes Simply ‘Kendall?’

Kendall Jenner has made her fashion modeling debut for Vogue. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star models a series of scarves in the Patrick Demarchelier editorial shot for the magazine. It seems with this big modeling debut comes a transformation of sorts as well. Kendall Jenner is now supposedly simply known as ‘Kendall.’

Kendall Jenner’s modeling agency–The Society Management–now shows the popular reality star on its contact sheet of models, and she is dubbed only ‘Kendall.’

Nothing about Kendall being a reality star is mentioned with regard to her Vogue debut. In fact, she has in the past done a lot to distance herself from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians moniker, for fear it might damage her new career.

”What I have has almost worked against me,” she said recently. ”I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show. I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.”’

How do you suppose Kendall’s mom Kris Jenner and her dad Bruce Jenner will react when they learn that she has possibly dropped her last name? Will they be completely understanding that she must distance herself from the ‘trashy’ aspects of their reality show fame and fortune or do you think they’ll be insulted and very upset with her instead?

Do you think if Kendall Jenner truly becomes just ‘Kendall’ that her one word moniker will have the power of others who have done the same? Think Madonna, Cher, Iman, Beyonce, and more. Will people one day immediately recognize ‘Kendall,’ too?

  • Anna Wintour Forced Strict Style Rules For Met Gala

Anna Wintour Forced Strict Style Rules For Met Gala

Anna Wintour created very specific dress code rules for guests and Vogue staff attending this year’s Met Gala. “Anna doesn’t want anyone to stand out in an inappropriate way. The night is for the invitees, not the Vogue staff. Vogue staffers were only allowed to choose dresses in seven distinct color palettes, including a gray-lavender and sea foam,” a Met Ball insider (whatever that means) said. While Vogue employees had their own set of rules, Wintour also established a guide for those attending the exclusive event as guests. Evidently shelling out $25,000 isn’t enough to buy a little freedom of expression — one still had to adhere to white tie dress.

For men, this meant a black tailcoat, a waistcoat, a wing-collared shirt, a white bow tie, sheer silk socks, patent leather evening pumps, and medals and rosettes. Ladies had it a bit easier, with the only requirement being an appropriate ball gown.

While the lady stars gracing the charity event could at least select their own gowns, women working for Vogue had their design chosen for them, or rather designed for them by design house Reem Acra. Another Met Gala insider (who ARE these people) said that the staffers’ shoes were also pre-selected. The ladies had to wear Manolo Blahniks (what a nightmare) to tastefully match their dress without standing out or making any sort of fashion statement.

It seems Anna Wintour still insists upon proving that Meryl Streep’s character in The Devil Wears Prada was based on her as the editor in chief of Vogue, not that anyone doubted that in the first place. C’mon, Wintour. Cut your staff and those poor celebrities a little slack. At least she let Kim Kardashian attend this year after allegedly banning her from the event in the past. Progress.

  • Grumpy Cat Turns Two, Still A Total Downer

Like most toddlers, Grumpy Cat was unimpressed upon her entrance to Life: Year Two. This comes as no surprise to fans, as Grumpy Cat (given name: Tardar Sauce) is notorious for being altogether morose even upon momentous occasions (see: Grumpy Cat meeting Morgan Spurlock). This also comes as no surprise to the majority of high-school educated citizens of the world, who know Grumpy Cat is entirely unaware of her celebrity status/birthday/overall facial expression. Being a cat, she does not comprehend the realities of her own existence, a trait that (some) human beings posses and distinguishes us from other forms of animal life.

That being said, it is impressive a cat of such tender age is able to maintain composure amongst the glitterati. Case in point: for her birthday, Grumpy Cat paid a visit to Vogue magazine headquarters in New York City, an office that anyone who has seen The Devil Wears Prada (and made the obvious Runway=Vogue connection) would know to avoid due to a potential run-in with Meryl Streep: Mean Version, aka Anna Wintour. But Grumpy Cat blended in beautifully with the crème de la crème of the magazine because in the world of high fashion, it’s cool to be aloof.

Happy Birthday, Grumpy Cat, and thanks for the reminder that you have gone farther in your career as an animal who gets photographed while grimacing at inappropriate moments than some of us (ahem) have after a decade in the corporate world. Thanks a lot.

  • Kendall Jenner Spoofs Kim Kardashian’s ‘Vogue’ Cover

Apparently just about anything Kim Kardashian and Kanye West do can serve as fodder for humor, as their Vogue cover has spurred dozens of spoofs in the days after it was revealed. The latest spoof comes from sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who decided to have a little fun at their big half-sister’s expense.

Kardashian and West’s Vogue cover comes after West complained on Ryan Seacrest’s show last October about his fiancé never making the cover. West said the fact that Kardashian was never asked to be on the cover was “classist,” and that the people at Vogue must think she isn’t good enough since she is on a reality TV show. Fast forward a few months, and both Kardashian and West are gracing the April 2014 Vogue cover, so it looks like something good came from West’s complaining for a change.

The decision to put Kardashian and West on the cover of Vogue was met with disdain from quite a few people, including former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who threatened to cancel her Vogue subscription on Twitter. Check out Kardashian and West’s Vogue cover below:

While quite a few folks are critical of the Vogue cover, others have decided to get a little creative with the cover to provide a little amusement. Kendall and Kylie Jenner decided to Photoshop their heads over the older sister and future brother-in-law’s heads:

If you’re not terribly amused with the Jenner sisters’ spoof, check out a few spoofs that others have provided:

Seth Rogen’s spoof has left some people crying foul, but the actor says it was all in good fun, and even West and Kardashian have said it was hilarious. Now if Rogen would do something with this West-Kardashian family picture, all would be right with the world:

  • Mindy Kaling Embraces Figure in ‘Vogue’ Interview

In February, Mindy Kaling was one of the hottest celebrities in the media, albeit for perhaps all the wrong reasons. The February edition of Elle magazine featured “Women in Television” and was released with four different covers promoting four different women: Amy Poehler from Parks and Recreation, Zooey Deschanel from New Girl, Allison Williams from Girls, and Mindy Kaling from The Mindy Project.

Despite the fact that Kaling earned 6 Emmy nominations for her work as a writer and producer on The Office and is the first Indian-American woman to have her own show, media pundits weighed-in on the fact that, unlike her fellow television stars, Kaling’s Elle cover was produced in black and white and was a close-up portrait shot instead of a full-body picture.

Kaling quickly took to Twitter to squash the criticisms of the magazine’s choice of covers, stating:

And if that wasn’t enough to quell those wanting to make a big fuss about Kaling’s plus-sized Hollywood figure, her recent interview with Vogue will most certainly do so.

In the April edition of Vogue magazine, Kaling defends her wardrobe choices when faced with the inherent criticism of being an unconventionally-sized woman for Hollywood standards: “It’s really tempting not to take chances. But I don’t want to be fearful. I don’t want my tombstone to say, she hid her imperfections well on the red carpet.”

So what is Kaling’s advice for women who find themselves facing the same criticisms? “When you’re dealing with volume, you really need to go shopping with friends.”

In September of 2013, Kaling addressed the issues of body image and self-confidence in an interview with Parade magazine:

“I always get asked, ‘Where do you get your confidence?’ I think people are well meaning, but it’s pretty insulting. Because what it means to me is, ‘You, Mindy Kaling, have all the trappings of a very marginalized person. You’re not skinny, you’re not white, you’re a woman. Why on earth would you feel like you’re worth anything’?”

While Kaling definitely does not lack in the confidence department (going as far as stating that “I feel the same way about clothes as I do about food – I want everything.”), there are still certain aspects of her image that Kaling would like to improve upon: “There’s a whole list of things I would probably change about myself. For example, I’m always trying to lose fifteen pounds…”

The key for Kaling, though, is to not let those small imperfections take control: “But I never need to be skinny. I don’t want to be skinny. I’m constantly in a state of self-improvement, but I don’t beat myself up over it.”

And if all else fails, humor can still win the day, with Kaling stating, “When I’m at my thinnest, I tend to wear things that don’t show off my body. But when I’m bigger, I’ll go body-con, which comes from a place of ‘This is my perimeter, in case you were wondering if I was actually much bigger.’ ”

Season two of Kaling’s show, The Mindy Project, returns to television April 1 on FOX.

  • Kate Upton Talks Sex Symbol Image And Criticism

Ever since that video of Kate Upton doing the Dougie dance went viral, she’s pretty much been all over the place. From magazine covers, to red carpets, and she’s even broken down Hollywood doors by starring along side Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in the new film The Other Woman.

And it’s not just that. She’s also become a new kind of sex symbol, one that isn’t just beautiful, but funny, social media savvy, and unpretentious.

But the 21 year old said she’s very mindful not to come off too sexy, and she believes there’s a fine line between being alluring and being cheesy, and she does her best to tow that line properly, she said.

“There’s a line between becoming, you know, a little cheap and cheesy versus being sexy,” she said in an interview with Vogue magazine. “And I try to be very careful of that line.”

And as far as the videos of her doing the Dougie dance and another one of the blonde beauty doing the Cat Daddy dance in a red bikini, she said it’s something she would have done even if she wasn’t famous, but admits she might do things differently today.

“Its just a part of my personality,” said Upton. “And maybe some things I took too far, but I like being sexy.”

She also spoke a little about receiving criticism and says because she’s not ultra thin, some people give her a lot of trouble for it, but she does her best to ignore it all.

“The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change,” stated Upton.

“I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural. I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me. I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies great.”
