  • Iggy Azalea Falls Off Stage At The Pre-VMA Show

Iggy Azalea took quite a fall at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show.

On Friday, while performing her hit single Fancy at The Avalon in Los Angeles, Azalea tumbled off the stage.

Apparently the fall did not phase the singer, and she immediately took back to the stage with the help of the security guards. Charli XCX joined Iggy for the performance, and the duo barely missed a beat as the whole incident went down.

Azalea appeared to be unharmed, however there has been no word on if the Australian rapper was injured. Later that night, Azalea told the crowd that she felt “very blessed” to have not broken her legs.

Azalea made light of the situation, and even posted a video on Instagram of her fall. “Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn,” she captioned the video.

Azalea was nominated for seven awards during the Video Music Awards that aired on Sunday, August 24. Azalea’s nominations included: Video of the Year, Best Female, Best Female with Ariana Grande, Best Pop Video with Ariana Grande, Best Pop with Ariana Grande, Best Collaboration, and Best Art Direction.

Despite her many nominations, Azalea only took home the award for Best Pop Video for her collaboration with Ariana Grande on Grande’s single Problem.

  • Miley Cyrus On A Mission To Help Homeless Teens

Miley Cyrus attended this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, however it was a very different appearance than last year.

Rather than her constant twerking and rubbing herself with a foam finger, Miley decided to use her time on stage to promote a mission she has been working on … to help homeless teens.

Miley took home the video of the year moonman for her video Wrecking Ball, and beat out Beyoncé and Jay Z, Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, and Sia. Instead of accepting the award herself, Cyrus let her date, a former homeless teen, do the honors.

“Thank y’all, my name is Jesse and I accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost and scared for their lives right now. I know this because I am one of these people,” he said, while Cyrus sat nearby. “I’ve survived in shelters all over. …Though I may have been invisible to you in the streets, I have a lot of the same dreams that brought many of you here tonight.”

Miley may have had a controversial year, but it seems that she is now using her star power for good. MTV shared a photo, on their Instagram account, of Miley and Jesse to raise awareness about teenage homelessness.

Miley also uploaded a video to Facebook to give more information on what she is trying to do. “Help me raise awareness and funds to end youth homelessness!” she wrote. “This is just the beginning for me, but we’re going to get started now by focusing on My Friend’s Place, a homeless center for young people in Hollywood.”

  • Iggy Azalea Takes Tumble Off L.A. Stage

Iggy Azalea Takes Tumble Off L.A. Stage

Iggy Azalea took a tumble off an L.A. stage, landing on the floor below. The ‘Fancy‘ singer was part of a group of singers doing an MTV VMA benefit show at The Avalon this week when she hit the floor–well below the stage–hard.

The Aussie was actually performing ‘Fancy,’ along with ‘Boom Clap’ singer Charlie XCX when the misstep occurred. The two ladies were dancing backwards and away from one another during their act when Iggy Azalea simply and certainly unknowingly ran out of stage to dance on–and plummeted to the floor instead.

She actually went down several feet, but managed to laugh about it enough to share the faux pas via Instragram.

“Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn,” she captioned the following video clip.

Iggy was helped back up on to the stage by a couple of nearby security guards. She was very relieved–even going so far as to say she felt “very blessed” that she didn’t break her legs.

Iggy Azalea was nominated for seven awards at the MTV Video Music Awards that air this Sunday, including Video of the Year, Best Female, Best Pop, Best Collaboration (with Ariana Grande), and Best Art Direction. It would be an absolute shock if she doesn’t walk away with at least one.

Will you be tuning in to the VMAs on Sunday to see if Iggy Azalea wins? Do you expect either her collaboration with Ariana Grande or her song ‘Fancy’ will yield her an award?

Hopefully Iggy will be very careful when she takes the stage to receive said expected award. She would likely never live down falling off the stage at the VMAs.

  • Miley Turns 21 Saturday, Will Perform at AMAs Sunday

Miley Cyrus – born Destiny Hope Cyrus – became legal yesterday (November 23). Yep, that’s right – the racy starlet wasn’t even 21 yet when she was twerking at the MTV Video Music Awards!

Miley didn’t throw the bash of the century like we would all expect, however – her Twitter account showed her at home alone on Saturday night. Well, alone with her dogs, anyway.

MTV celebrated Miley all day Saturday with several specials – “21 Candles: Miley’s MTV Moments” aired Saturday afternoon, and was followed by the documentary, “Miley: The Movement Deluxe Edition.”

The reluctance to leave her home may have been attributed to the fact that her home was allegedly burglarized Friday, the day before her birthday. Police cannot confirm or deny that the home that was discovered to have been broken into was in fact that of Miley Cyrus.

Miley tweeted this picture as proof of her mild evening on Saturday night:

The young woman may have also been too tired to go out for her birthday – the star was reportedly rehearsing all day on Saturday for her upcoming American Music Awards’ performance.

Miley may also have been saving her energy – she is hosting a private after-party/birthday bash in the theater of Beacher’s Madhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. She recently tweeted about her hopes for the Sunday night celebration, saying, “I want everyone to party like its their birffffday tomorrow.”

Rapper and songwriter Eminem recently released a preview of his new single, ‘Berzerk’, on Slim Shady’s website. The video is a preview of what is to come on his new album titled “Marshall Mathers LP 2”.

The music video clip of “Berzerk” begins with the words “Take your shoes off, let your hair down, go berserk all night long.” The rapper then continues: “We’re gonna rock this house until we knock it down, so turn the volume loud.” Later on in Berzerk, Eminem raps: “Life’s too short, so now go for broke.”, according to The Inquisitr.

The full album, “Marshall Mathers LP 2”, is scheduled to be released on November 5, 2013. Marshall Mathers was the name that he was born with, so that’s where the title comes from. Rick Rubin and Eminem’s co-producer, Dr. Dre, are the executive producers of the new project.

Last night during the Video Music Awards on MTV, the release date for the new album was shown on a commercial, unveiling the date for the very first time. The commercial was for Beats by Dre.
