  • Poppy Montgomery is ‘Unforgettable,’ Thanks to A&E

Poppy Montgomery has experienced the cancellation of her mystery drama, Unforgettable, not just once–but twice. Now it’s been rescued by A&E, and a fourth season of 13 new episodes will soon be back on TV.

Montgomery plays the role of former detective Carrie Wells. Wells has a rare condition that won’t allow her to forget anything she’s ever seen or heard. When Wells is brought in to help work a case run by her ex-boyfriend, Detective Al Burns (played by Dylan Walsh, who will also be returning for the fourth season), she is reinstated as a detective and becomes part of his team.

Poppy Montgomery first heard her show had been cancelled by CBS back in 2012. When producers considered selling it to a cable network, CBS scooped it back up again, with 13 episodes that ran during the summer of 2013. Although it returned again for the summer of 2014, CBS cancelled it one more time, in favor of shows like Under the Dome and Extant.

Prior to her work on Unforgettable, Poppy Montgomery starred in a popular CBS mystery drama. She played FBI agent Samantha Spade on Without A Trace, which aired from 2002 to 2009.

Are you an Unforgettable fan? Are you happy to learn that A&E has picked the show up and ordered 13 brand new episodes?

In addition to Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, Unforgettable also stars Saturday Night Live alum Jane Curtin.

  • Under The Dome Leaks Season 2 Promo Online [Video]

It is still a couple of months before Under The Dome returns, but CBS has already released a promotional video for the show’s second season. The first season left off on quite a cliffhanger, and fans are anxiously awaiting to find out what will happen.

Under The Dome is a suspenseful drama that airs on CBS, and is based on a novel by Stephen King. Fans were drawn in by the odd nature of the show’s first season, and similar to a show like Lost, the show continues to make its audience question things.

In the first episode of the series, a dome comes down over a small fictional town in the United States, and traps them all inside, cutting them off from the rest of civilization. It tests the emotions, and actions of each character on the show, showing how they can each react when under pressure.

The show can be thrilling, while also a character study containing elements of science fiction. The show stars Dean Norris, who became well-known for his role on Breaking Bad, which finished as season one of Under The Dome aired.

In addition, the ensemble cast includes Mike Vogel, Natalie Martinez, Alexander Koch, and several others. Norris plays a character known as Big Jim, and in the season 2 preview, people are seen being dragged against their will and collapsing, but Big Jim is the only one who’s not affected by the mysterious power.

Throughout the first season, his character gave other characters and audiences suspicions, and there may even be a possibility that he was involved in the dome going down over their town.

Executive producer Neal Baer spoke about the upcoming season when saying “it will be filled with twists and turns and shocking events,” adding that “what’s outside comes inside.” He also added that Junior has had an Uncle that has been hiding out the whole time, and may pose a threat for Barbie.

The first preview for season two of Under The Dome also hints that there will be some mysterious telekinetic power affecting the town’s residents. However, Big Jim does not seem to be affected, and cries out “Tell me what to do. Tell me!”

Fans that have been going crazy since last summer can rest assured knowing that Under the Dome will return for its second season on Monday, June 30 at 10 P.M. ET on CBS. Does anyone have any theories about what will happen as the second season begins?

  • Under the Dome Season 2 Premieres in June

Under the Dome is set to be one of CBS’s main summer events. Its second season will premiere on June 30th. Based on the book by Stephen King, the series is about a small Maine town that has become trapped under a mysterious force field–or dome–as seen here in the featured original season trailer. The season premiere for season 2 will be written by Stephen King himself.

It seems some fans haven’t been particularly pleased with the changes that show runner Brian K. Vaughn has made to the story in his efforts to adapt it to TV. King, who also serves as the series’ executive producer, has made it abundantly clear that the changes are all okay with him. Hopefully by writing the season 2 premiere himself he will appease those disgruntled fans and assure them that his presence will definitely lend itself to future episodes.

Under the Dome was a huge hit for CBS. It ranked as the network’s top-rated summer show–and it even received Variety’s Breakthrough of the Year Award for television.

Very actively engaging fans via Twitter, those behind Under the Dome are busy dropping hints and asking viewers what they want to see in season 2.

If you’re an Under the Dome fan you’re no doubt thrilled to hear that there will, in fact, be a second season, but perhaps a bit disappointed that you have to wait until June to watch it again. In the meantime, of course, you can engage in a bit of dialogue via the show’s Twitter account, and surmise how you believe Stephen King’s opener will draw in even more fans.

  • Miss Under the Dome? Remember, You Can Watch It Now on Amazon Prime Instant Video

Miss Under the Dome? Remember, You Can Watch It Now on Amazon Prime Instant Video

If you happened to miss the series premiere of the new CBS show Under the Dome, this is just a friendly reminder that it’s now available to stream on Amazon Prime Instant Video.

And this is not a one-time thing. All episodes of Under the Dome will hit Amazon Prime Instant Video just four days after their original broadcast, thanks to a deal Amazon made with CBS back in February. It’s an exclusive deal, meaning no other streaming service offers the show. Not only that, but you can’t even stream it on CBS.com anymore – each episode only stays up on there for the first three days after airing.

Yeah, it’s all confusing – but the point is that the most current episode of Under the Dome will always be available to stream four days after air on Amazon Prime.

“Stephen King’s stories have entertained readers for decades and Under the Dome has been a very popular book with Amazon customers,” said Brad Beale, Director of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon. “We’re excited to offer this highly anticipated CBS series exclusively to Prime customers at no additional cost during its current television season.”

Under the Dome is based on a 2009 Stephen King novel of the same name. It deals with a small New England town that is suddenly cut off from the rest of the world by an giant, transparent dome. It’s being produced by Steve Spielberg’s Amblin Television

Monday’s big premiere was just that – big. The show garnered an impressive 13.1 million viewers and a 3.2 rating in the target 18-49 age group.

After the premiere, however, some fans of the book were a bit perturbed by some differences between it an the TV show. Stephen King wrote an open letter to his fans, telling them that it’s ok to enjoy to book for what it is and the TV show for what it is.

“If you loved the book when you first read it, it’s still there for your perusal. But that doesn’t mean the TV series is bad, because it’s not. In fact, it’s very good. And, if you look closely, you’ll see that most of my characters are still there, although some have been combined and others have changed jobs,” said King.

  • New Under the Dome Trailer, Adapted Stephen King Story Comes To CBS

A metaphysical mystery, small town, a dynamic group of interesting characters; it certainly sounds like a Stephen King novel. Like all of the great Stephen King books, the story will be adapted to a different media. With ‘Under the Dome’, it will be receiving the television treatment, coming to CBS in June. The series will be produced by Brian K. Vaughan, known for his work in comics with Y: The Last Man.

IGN released a new trailer, providing some more details of the feel of the show along with some of the characters that will be appearing.

If the premise seems familiar, it’s because the use of a dome over a small town was used in The Simpson’s Movie, as seen below.

Before you accuse Stephen King or the show for ripping off The Simpsons, you should know that the novel has been in the works well before The Simpsons movie. According to Stephen King in the interview below, he’s been stewing on the idea since the mid-70’s.

  • Amazon Grabs Exclusive Streaming Rights to CBS’ ‘Under the Dome’

Amazon Grabs Exclusive Streaming Rights to CBS’ ‘Under the Dome’

Amazon has just landed another exclusive content deal for its Prime Instant Video service. This time it’s the upcoming CBS drama Under the Dome.

Here are the specifics of the deal: Just four days after each episode airs on CBS, they will pop up on Amazon Prime Instant Video. The episodes will be available to stream on CBS.com, but only for the first three days after airing.

Under the Dome is based on a 2009 Stephen Kings novel of the same name that’s about a small New England town that is suddenly cut off from the rest of the world by an giant, transparent dome. It’s being produced by Steve Spielberg’s Amblin Television and will premiere on CBS on June 24th.

“With creative forces of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television behind Under the Dome, we think our customers will love this new show and we’re excited to be able to offer this highly-anticipated series at no additional cost to Prime members,” said Brad Beale, Director of Digital Video Content Acquisition for Amazon. “Adding a current season major network TV series like Under the Dome to the Prime Instant Video library so shortly after its live airing enables us to increase our exclusive selection of great TV shows and give customers access how, when and where they want to watch it.”

Last week, Amazon made another big play when they stole Downton Abbey away from Netflix and Hulu. Per that deal, Prime Instant Video will be the only subscription-based streaming service where viewers can watch episodes of Downton Abbey – past, present, and future (starting some time this year).
