    Marissa Mayer Is Having Twins

    Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is expecting twins.

    Mayer shared the news early Tuesday with a post on her Tumblr. She says the twins, identical girls, will arrive in December.

    Mayer says she plans to work throughout, as she did with her first pregnancy in 2012.

    “Since my pregnancy has been healthy and uncomplicated and since this is a unique time in Yahoo’s transformation, I plan to approach the pregnancy and delivery as I did with my son three years ago, taking limited time away and working throughout. I’ve shared the news and my plans with Yahoo’s Board of Directors and my executive team, and they are incredibly supportive and happy for me. I want to thank them for all of their encouragement as well as their offers of help and continued support,” says Mayer.

    Mayer also shared some optimism for the future.

    “Leading Yahoo in our renaissance, alongside a terrific and dedicated team, has given me tremendous professional pride in our accomplishments. I’ve never been more excited about our progress and the growth opportunities for our amazing company. At the same time, I’m blessed to have experienced some of my most extraordinary and proudest personal moments while being Yahoo’s CEO. Moving forward, there will be a lot to do for both my family and for Yahoo; both will require hard work and thoughtful prioritization. However, I’m extremely energized by and dedicated to both my family and Yahoo and will do all that is necessary and more to help both thrive.   • Princess Charlene of Monaco Is Having Twins, Proudly Wears Baby Bump During US Visit

    Ensuring the line of succession to Monaco’s throne, it was recently announced that Princess Charlene will be having twins when she gives birth in December. The royal palace announced on Thursday, October 8 that the 36-year-old wife of Prince Albert II is currently pregnant with two babies.

    “The Prince and Princess of Monaco are happy to confirm they are expecting twins… at the end of the year,” the palace said in a statement. Charlene’s twins will reportedly replace Albert’s sister Caroline as heirs to the throne.

    A close friend of Albert, New York plastic surgeon Jon Turk, recently recounted how Charlene found out that she was carrying twins and how she broke the news to her husband. While having her first ultrasound, Charlene apparently called Albert out of a meeting and said, “We’re going to have a baby!” After that, Albert reportedly went back to his important meeting.

    However, a few minutes later, Charlene supposedly called him back when they found a second baby in the sonogram. “He was busy in a meeting [and didn’t know why she was calling] and reluctant to come out. But when he came out, she said, ‘We’re going to have two babies!’ Two calls for two kids!” said Turk, who is also a trustee of the Princess Grace Foundation, which was set up in honor of Albert’s mother.

    Albert and Charlene spent the last week in the US attending events in support of the Princess Grace Foundation, which in turn supports up-and-coming actors. At an awards ceremony in Palm Springs, Charlene proudly wore her baby bump in a chic navy blue silk dress, apparently looking relaxed and happy. Albert seemed protective of Charlene, clutching her hand as he ushered her into the venue.

    The Prince of Monaco and Princess Charlene also attended other events for the Princess Grace Foundation, including a gala supper in Los Angeles with director Adam Shankman and Glee star Jane Lynch.

  • Zoe Saldana Confirms She Is Expecting Twins

    Zoe Saldana has officially confirmed that she is expecting not one, but two babies with her husband Marco Perego!

    The couple did not make a big announcement for the news. However, Zoe revealed that she is expecting twins in a sweet way when asked what she would be dressing up as for Halloween by E! News.

    “I might,” Saldana responded when asked if she would be dressing up for the holiday. “I might need three costumes. I might have to make some adjustments, but it would be nice,” she said while tenderly rubbing her growing belly.

    Saldana has always been very open about her desire to have a family. “I’m Latin—we start young, honey!” Saldana said during an interview in 2012. “At 22 you’re like, ‘I just wanna hold something!’ You want a little critter.”

    The couple, who had a secret wedding in 2013, said they would like to have two or three kids or maybe more. “Or four or five! I don’t care. They’re just so delicious,” she said. “I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids. But I’m a kid myself. I get along very well with animals and children. I dig them. I get them. They make perfect sense to me. A child speaks more sense than an adult half of the time.”

  • Mono Mono Twins Finally Get To Go Home

    After spending over a month in Akron General Medical Center in Ohio, mono mono twins Jenna and Jillian were finally able to go home.

    The twins shared an amniotic sack during their mother’s pregnancy, which makes the pregnancy vulnerable to complications. Sarah Thistlethwaite, Jenna and Jillian’s mother, spent two months in the hospital before the twins were delivered via C-section in order to lessen the risk of complications.

    Jenna and Jillian made waves on the web, as they were born holding hands. They were born prematurely at 33 weeks. The twins had to spend time in the hospital, as they needed to get stronger and gain more weight before going home.

    After more than a month of waiting, doctors have finally given them the green light to go home. The twins have an older brother, Jaxon, who is 15 months old.

    “It’s just nice to have everyone under the same roof. It was really stressful – you want to pay attention to the little one at home and you just gave birth to two little babies. It was a pull and a tear as to where to go,” Thistlethwaite said.

    According to doctors, mono mono twin births are rare and happen in about one of every 10,000 pregnancies. Thistlethwaite said that she already noticed the unique bond that her twins share. “When I try to feed them on the feeding pillow, they gradually migrate toward each other,” she said.

    On Saturday, the entire family, including grandparents and great grandparents, went to the Thistlethwaite home to welcome the twins. The family spent the rest of the weekend getting to know the twins and spending time with each other. Bill Thistlethwaite, Sarah’s husband, is glad that his daughters are home in time for Father’s Day.

    Although the twins were born prematurely, doctors said that they are not anticipating complications to arise.

  • Mono Mono Twins May Be Able To Come Home Soon

    Last month, a set of rare mono mono twins were born at the Akron General Medical Center in Ohio.

    Mono mono twins are rare because they share the same amniotic sac and placenta, and only occur in approximately 1 in 10,000 pregnancies.

    What made this set of twins extra special was that they were born holding hands. A photo showing Jenna’s and Jillian’s first moments of life went viral and now their parents are getting a taste of being celebrities.

    “It’s still been crazy,” Bill Thistlethwaite, the girl’s father, said. “Everywhere we go, someone saw it. People are still talking about it.”

    Mono Mono twins are especially high risk because of the possibility of cord entanglement. However, the girls remained under routine observation and were delivered at 33 weeks 2 days without incident.

    “Sarah was given the option to deliver between 32 and 34 weeks gestation,” the doctors explained on the Akron Children’s blog. “This type of twin is at high risk for stillbirth because of cord entanglement. We were just having a discussion about how difficult a decision it is to make, weighing the risk of prematurity vs. the risks of entanglement. She was excited about having her C-section on May 9 because she would be a ‘real mother’ on Mothers’ Day.”

    Jenna was born first and weighed 4 pounds, 2 ounces and was 17 inches long. Not long after, around 48 seconds to be exact, baby Jillian made her grand entrance to the world. She weighed 3 pounds, 13 ounces and was 17.5 inches long.

    Now, nearly a month later, the girls are doing fine and are starting to gain weight. Although they required breathing assistance shortly after birth, they are now breathing on their own, drinking full bottles and they each weigh five pounds or more.

    Doctors say if they keep up the weight gain, the girls could potentially get to go home within a couple of weeks. The girl’s parents say they can’t wait to show them the picture of them holding hands, and they already feel that they will be best friends.

    “I already feel like they’re going to be best friends,” Thistlethwaite said. “They’ll probably look at it and say, ‘That makes sense because that’s how we are.’”

  • Conjoined Twins: One Body, Two Faces

    Renee Young and Simon Howie, who already have seven other children, welcomed their twins, via emergency C-section, on Thursday, at Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

    While each and every birth is a special event, this birth was extra unique. The twins Hope and Faith were born conjoined with a rare congenital disorder called diprosopus. Young and Howie found out about their twin’s disorder during their 19-week ultrasound, so they were prepared when the girls were born with one body and two faces.

    Although the girls share a cranium, they each have a separate face and brain. They also share one set of limbs and organs. While most would see the twins as one child because of their appearance, Howie explains that they see them as their twins- two separate human beings.

    “Even though there is only one body, we call them our twins,” Howie said. “To us, they are our girls and we love them.”

    To date, there have been on 40 cases of twins born with two faces. Of those 40, very few survived past birth. However, despite the statistics, the girls are currently doing well. “They are breathing perfectly on their own and feeding. They are little Aussie fighters.”

    Because their condition is so rare, the doctors are monitoring Hope and Faith very closely and currently do not know how long they will remain in the hospital. “We have no idea how long they will be in hospital,” said Howie. “We just want to bring them home, happy and healthy to make our family a little bit bigger and a bit more chaotic.”

  • Mindy Tran Sacrifices Herself as a ‘Speed Bump’ to Save Daughters in Moving Car

    On Thursday March 6, a Massachusetts mom literally laid down her life to save her twin daughters.

    Mindy Tran, 22, is recovering in the hospital after using her body as a speed bump to stop her moving vehicle from rolling into traffic.

    The mother of two told WCVB-TV that she backed her Honda Accord into the garage of her apartment and remembers putting it in park. However, when she briefly stepped away to go lock her door, she noticed her vehicle was moving and her daughters were moving with it.

    I was like, ‘What is going on?’ And I see my daughter sitting there in the back seat and of course my first instinct is, ‘I have to push the car back into the driveway,’” she said.

    After noticing that her daughters were still strapped in the car, Tran says she immediately reacted and threw herself in front of the vehicle to stop it from going into the busy street.

    “I had to use myself as a speed bump to slow it down enough for one of my neighbors to get in and completely stop the car,” Tran said.

    A nearby neighbor ran to the rescue and retrieved the girls out of the vehicle.

    Firefighters responded to the incident and were able to “stabilized the car with wooden blocks and then used an airbag to lift the car off Tran.”(image)

    Tran says that she doesn’t consider her actions heroic. After all, she was just being a mother.

    “My daughters are my everything, my everything, and I don’t want to see them in the hospital, and I knew at that time it was either mine or there’s,” she told WCVB-TV.

    Tran confirms that she cannot walk, as she suffers from a crushed left knee and a dislocated right leg. She expects to be in the hospital for the next few weeks while she goes through surgery and physical therapy, but is more than certain she will walk again.

    The two-year-old twins, Sydney and Saleen, are said to be doing just fine. Sources say that they will celebrate their birthday on April 13 at the hospital with Tran as she goes through recovery.

    The young mother had reportedly just moved from a shelter to an apartment in Lawrence, Mass., days before the incident occurred in hopes to start a new life for her family.

    Michael Jordan and his wife have welcomed two new girls into the world. The former basketball star’s wife gave birth to twins, Victoria and Ysabel, on Sunday in Palm Beach, Florida.

    The identical twin girls mark the fourth and fifth kids for Michael Jordan, but the first two with his current wife, Yvette. His other three children-Jeffrey Michael, Marcus James, and Jasmine, all came from his previous marriage to Juanita Vanoy. The two of them divorced in 2006.

    It was previously announced that the couple were expecting twins, and the couple, who resides in Charlotte, North Carolina are excited about the two new members of their family. They met six years ago, and were married on April 27th of last year.

    They were married in West Palm Beach, while the reception took place at a private golf club. The wedding had around 300 guests, and included former NBA star Patrick Ewing, Spike Lee, Tiger Woods, and others. Jordan owns a home nearby, where the family will spend much of their time.

    Michael Jordan’s spokesperson reported the news, saying, “Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival.” Jordan will be 51 years old next Monday, while his wife is 35 years old.

    He also made headlines recently with the Charlotte Bobcats, and as the team owner, he has been heavily involved with the team since their creation. Before that, he was known for his lengthy career in the NBA as a star for the Chicago Bulls, where he won six NBA championships and was a 14-time NBA All-Star.

    It was recently announced that the team in Charlotte would be returning to their old name of the Charlotte Hornets, and they would also be bringing on a new logo, one that looks much tougher than before.

    The name became available again after the New Orleans Hornets changed their name to the Pelicans. The Bobcats are also currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference with a chance to make the postseason for the first time.

    The former basketball star and model are happy with the arrival of their two new babies, and had previously done a good job of hiding the fact that they were expecting twins.

    Basketball star Michael Jordan, 50, and his wife former model Yvette Jordan, 35, welcomed identical twin baby girls over the weekend.

    On Sunday, February 9, 2014, Yvette gave birth to her bundles of joy Victoria and Ysabel. Michael’s rep Estee Portnoy released a statement announcing the exciting news. “Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival,” Estee said.

    Michael and Yvette met over six years ago, in 2008, at a dance club in Miami. However, it wasn’t until this past year, in April 2013, that they took the next step and were married. On April 27, 2013, the couple said their vows at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. This was the same place that Donald and Melania Trump were married back in 2005.

    They then announced that they were expecting twin girls only seven short months later. The twins make five children for Michael. He already has three other children Jeffrey Michael, Marcus James, and Jasmine by his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, who he divorced in 2006. However, the twins make the first children for Yvette, and the first for the couple together.

    Michael took over as the owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats in 2010. They are currently ranked eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. It is looking hopeful that they may make it to the postseason this year, which would be the first time since Michael gained ownership.

    Hemsworth’s reps confirmed the news to multiple media outlets.

    HOLA! magazine was the first to exclusively reveal that the parents of 20 month old India Rose would be having twins this spring.

    The couple announced in late November they were expecting their second child. Now they’ll be preparing for their second and third child.

    E! Online announced the happy couple were having twins and posted a picture of them on Twitter.

    Multiple media outlets took to their Twitter accounts to congratulate the beautiful pair.

    And fans put their own spin on the news.

    The couple recently attended the 2014 Golden Globes, making it Pataky’s first high-profile outing since the announcement of her second pregnancy.

    Parenthood is something the two absolutely love. Pataky herself bragged about daughter India Rose to US Weekly last year, saying, “She’s almost walking, and she says, ‘mama’ and ‘papa.’ She loves being at the beach. And she loves little dogs and all animals.”

    And Hemsworth sees parenthood as the “greatest thing he’s ever been a part of.” He added, “When I am at work, she’s what I’m thinking about, and when I’m not at work, she’s who I’m hanging out with! I think [parenthood] brings out the child in all of us. That’s what’s so beautiful. It reminds you of the fascination you had with things, and how you can spend hours just being with someone. It’s amazing.”

    Kim Zolciak gave birth to twins, Kaia Rose and Kane Ren on November 25, and then was seen, only days after, taking a stroll down the sidewalk with her new babies and husband, Kroy Biermann.

    Zolciak and Bierman were married in November 2011, and already have two children together, Kroy Jr., 2, and Kash, 15 months. Zociak has two daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle, 16, Ariana, 11, who Biermann announced that he had officially adopted in July 2013. The twins made six kids for Zolciak and she is now referring to her clan as that “Biermann Bunch”.

    The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to her personal Instagram account to post a photo announcing the birth of her newest editions. “We are officially the ‘Biermann Bunch’ now!” Zolciak’s photo caption read. “Guess what?!!! The twins have arrived! We welcomed first a baby girl and second a handsome little boy! They are both healthy and Kroy and I are so thankful!!”

    Zolciak also took to Instagram to announce the names of her “precious angels”, and the reason she chose the names that she did. “Girl: Kaia Rose (after ‘psychic’ Rose who is like a grandma to me and been a huge part of my life for 13 plus yrs) also the twins were born on Rose’s birthday!” she wrote. “Boy: Kane Ren (Ren after my OBGYN who has delivered 5 of the 6 kiddos, who has also been a big part of my life for 12 yrs and we simply adore him).”

    Zolciak’s oldest daughter, Brielle, posted a selfie of her stunning mother on her personal Twitter page.

    At nine months pregnant, after hundreds of requests, Zolciak posted a photo on Instagram showing off her growing belly. “Hubby just measured my belly OMG!!! 48 inches around!! And not ONE stretch mark!! I know stretch marks r genetics but I have some tricks!” I sure would like to know those tricks!

The reality show captures the intricate lives of the housewives that go from glamorous to downright vicious. Kim Zolciak of the Atlanta girls is known for her often crude, but funny behavior and extensive wig collection. But the blonde has something else to get excited about these days aside from hair extensions and that juicy Georgia drama.

    The 35-year-old welcomed two beautiful babies into the world today. Zolciak is used to playing the role of mommy with four children already at home.

    The twin babies mark her third and fourth child with football hubby, Kroy Biermann. Kroy Jr. is 2 and Kash is only 1. Zolciak also has two daughters from previous relationships, Brielle, 16 and Ariana, 12.

    It looks like things are going to stay pretty busy for this happy mommy as she cares for all of her children.

    Zolciak announced that she was pregnant earlier this year in June on the reality show. After taking several pregnancy tests, the housewife announced she was without a doubt pregnant.

    “Pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant,” Zolciak said on the show as she examined her plethora of tests.

    Adorable twins plus rubber bands equals the best video you’ll see on the Internet today. In fact, it may just be one of the best Internet videos of the year.

    In the video below, you’ll find two infant twins who are discovering elasticity for the first time. They think it’s hilarious. I probably thought it was hilarious as well until a friend had me facing down a rubber band gun. We can only hope that the innocence of these children will be spared a few more years.

  • Twins: Strokes At 26 Within Months Of Each Other

    Twin women living in Arizona suffering strokes within nine months of each other is rare enough; add to that the fact that the women are only 26 years old, and the story is just incredible.

    Kathryn Tucker says she had just gone to bed one night when she felt a sudden sharp pain in the back of her head; things began to go numb on the right side and her vision started to black out. Tucker, who had a history of migraines, wondered if that could be the culprit. She went to the hospital, where doctors came to the same conclusion and sent her home.

    “I was absolutely terrified,” she said. “I slept for three days straight. Then, when I woke up, my vision was horrible. Everything was distorted and one-dimensional. I could barely get around.”

    Tucker immediately went to an urgent care facility for tests and was shocked when she learned she’d had a stroke. Nine months later, her twin sister Kimberly suffered the same fate, only her stroke occurred on the left side.

    “Honestly, it’s rare for us to actually evaluate two sisters who’ve had strokes within months of each other,” said Dr. Joni Clark, a vascular neurologist at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. “If they had a family history, it would not be a surprise. It’s quite uncommon.”

    Both twins were smokers, were on birth control, and drank excessive amounts of caffeine, although doctors say there’s no link to caffeine causing a stroke. Both women survived their ordeals, but say they’ve had to make serious lifestyle changes in order to maintain their health, including chucking the cigarettes and caffeinated drinks.

    Doctors say they are seeing younger stroke patients these days due in part to a lack of exercise and a lifestyle similar to the Tucker twins’.

    “The risk is increased for decades after their stroke,” said Dr. Frank-Erik de Leeuw of the Nijmegen Medical Center in the Netherlands. “So we can’t just send them back to their homes and say, ‘Well, we’ve seen you now for one or two times after your stroke — take care.’ I think that’s not possible anymore.”
