  • Taylor Swift Hires Publicist to Combat Bad Press

Singer Taylor Swift, in an effort to counter some really bad press of late, has hired publicist Tree Paine to handle her PR.

“There isn’t a publicist in NY, LA or Nashville that wouldn’t jump at an opportunity to work with someone as talented as Taylor Swift and her management team,” Paine said.

Paula Erickson represented the 24-year-old Grammy-award winning singer for the past seven years until she resigned in March.

After signing on with Swift, Paine set up a new PR company called Premium PR with a website in the works. She has worked with both the Academy of Country Music and Warner Music’s Nashville operations.

Paine sure doesn’t waste any time. She has already been busy promoting and shooting down false stories on behalf of her new client.

Swifters seem to approve her choice of Paine as her new publicist.

  • Taylor Swift Hires New Publicist

Pop and country singer Taylor Swift has hired a new publicist.

Paula Erickson served as Swift’s spokeswoman and publicist for seven years, before announcing her resignation in March.

“Taylor will have her pick of top-shelf publicists, but the challenge is finding that person you know and trust. Bringing PR in-house assures that person is directly involved in advising on what needs to be done and what doesn’t,” a high-ranked PR executive said at the time.

Taylor recently announced that she has hired Tree Paine, of Premium PR, to serve as her new spokeswoman. Taylor is about to embark on a new chapter of her life, and needed to find someone that she felt could handle the demands of her career. Paine has previously worked with the Academy of Country Music and Warner Music’s Nashville operations.

“There isn’t a publicist in NY, LA or Nashville that wouldn’t jump at an opportunity to work with someone as talented as Taylor Swift and her management team,” said Paine.

It seems as though Paine already has her client’s best interest at heart, and has been taking to Twitter to protect her client from the endless gossip stories circulating on the Internet. She first slammed rumors that Swift had turned down a duet with Randy Travis, and then later ended rumors about Swift having an extensive list of demands when it comes to her boyfriends.

This story is 100% not true. Never believe the National Enquirer. http://t.co/NU2bxPJfzX
