  • Penelope Cruz Shows Some Cleavage in New ‘Zoolander 2’ Trailer

Penelope Cruz, working with INTERPOL’s “Global Fashion Division”, is prominently featured in the new trailer for Zoolander 2.

Cruz’s character explains that she used to be a swimsuit model, but could never transition to the world of high fashion modeling because of her … assets. You’ll see the joke, check out the new international trailer below:

Zoolander 2 is slated for a February 12th release. When the first trailer dropped last month, it was met with some backlash from people who said it featured transphobic jokes.

Here’s how an online petition put it:

In the “Zoolander 2” trailer, an androgynous character played by Benedict Cumberbatch is asked by Zoolander and Hansel if he is a ‘male or female model’, and if they ‘have a hot dog or a bun’. Additionally, Cumberbatch’s character is clearly portrayed as an over-the-top, cartoonish mockery of androgyne/trans/non-binary individuals. This is the modern equivalent of using blackface to represent a minority.

If the producers and screenwriters of Zoolander wanted to provide social commentary on the presence of trans/androgyne individuals in the fashion industry, they could have approached models like Andreja Pejic to be in the film. By hiring a cis actor to play a non-binary individual in a clearly negative way, they film endorses harmful and dangerous perceptions of the queer community at large.

Online buzz for the sequel to the incredibly popular original film has been pretty solid, both good and bad. Can Penelope Cruz serve as a big enough draw?

Cruz can also be seen doing work for Apple, appearing in a new ad for Siri:

  • Nia Vardalos Is Back in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Trailer

Nobody expected the 2002 comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding to be the hit it became, but the indie film blew away expectations and grossed over $240 million. It’s the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time.

Now, after 13 years, Nia Vardalos is back in the trailer for the much-anticipated My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.

The film follows Toula (Vardalos) and Ian, her non-Greek husband (John Corbett) as they “navigate Greek life, their mixed marriage and parenthood.”

“We gathered the entire family back,” Vardalos said on the TODAY show. “Everyone in the first movie is back for the second movie. We filmed in the same locations. We have the same producers. We are still a small independent film now being released by the behemoth Universal Pictures. But you know, we are still the same family and we’re really close, and we had a great, great time.”

    Check it out below:

The film is set to debut on March 26th, 2016. It features appearances from John Stamos, Rita Wilson, and Joey Fatone.

  • Keanu Reeves Stars in a Worthwhile Speed Sequel

Ageless Wonder Keanu Reeves was on Jimmy Kimmel this week to promote his new film Knock Knock, but it was the trailer for another film that got everyone talking.

1994’s Speed is a classic action movie, but it’s full of so many dangerous maneuvers. And every action movie that features a chase of any kind is reckless – why does everyone have to go so fast and break so many rules of the road? Doesn’t anyone care about road safety?

With the help of Jimmy Kimmel, Keanu Reeves is finally starring in the motion picture that safe drivers deserve.

Check out the trailer for the next big blockbuster, A Reasonable Speed:

So, that’s a pretty good sequel to Speed. Speaking of sequels to Speed, why wasn’t Keanu Reeves in Speed 2: Cruise Control?

Apparently, he couldn’t really get into the whole boat idea.

“I didn’t get to be in that…well I decided not to be in that,” he told Kimmel. “It was about a cruise ship and I was like okay, speed cruise ship … not so fast … cruise ship is even slower than a bus.”

One sequel Reeves can get into is a third Bill & Ted movie, of which he says is still in the works and he hopes they can make it happen.

Ok, now for a real movie trailer. Here’s Keanu Reeves in Knock Knock, out October 9th.

  • Boulevard: Robin Williams’ Last Movie Gets an Official Trailer

Robin Williams provided a voice for the comedy Absolutely Anything, which is yet to be released. But in terms of on-screen roles, the late actor’s last movie is Boulevard, in which he plays a man coming the terms with his homosexuality.

Today, the film’s official trailer hit the web.

    Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

Nolan Mack (Robin Williams) has worked at the same bank for almost 26 years in a life of monotony. He and his wife Joy (Kathy Baker) have embraced their marriage as a convenient distraction from facing reality. However one day, what starts as an aimless drive down an unfamiliar street turns into a life-altering decision for Nolan. When he meets a troubled young man named Leo (Roberto Aguire) on his drive home, Nolan finds himself breaking from the confines of his old life and coming to terms with who he really is.

The film, and especially Williams’ understated performance, received solid reviews after its premiere at Tribeca in 2014. The Hollywood Reporter called it a “tender but unsentimental take on a story that benefits from finesse.” Variety said that Williams “taps into the same loneliness felt in One Hour Photo and Good Will Hunting.”

    Check out the trailer below:

The film is set to be released on July 10.

  • Game of Thrones Season 5 Trailer Leaks, Watch It Before It’s Inevitably Taken Down

I’d say this has about as much of a chance of survival as a George R.R. Martin wedding attendee, but it’s up for now – so watch it while you can.

The full two-minute trailer for the upcoming season five of HBO’s Game of Thrones has made its way to YouTube. Its shaky recording no doubt indicates it was taken at a one of the special IMAX premieres of the final two episode from season four.

What’s happening? I don’t know – I’m not going to watch it. I’m thinking I’ll check out the GoT IMAX experience this weekend. I’m not going to spoil the trailer for myself.

You sure as hell can, though:

  • ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer Teaser: Clues About The Movie?

On Sunday morning, fans of Jurassic Park were given their first true glimpse at the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt.

Pratt is just off the very successful Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie was a surprise hit for Marvel Studios, which promises a sequel will be out in a few years.

For now, moviegoers can get their “Star Lord” fix courtesy of Jurassic World.

After the commercial (and visual) failure of the third Jurassic movie, there was some heavy skepticism about the potential of this new movie.

However, it seems that director Colin Trevorrow is determined to bring back the magic and wonder experienced with the very first Jurassic Park.

The teaser for the upcoming trailer doesn’t give away too much.

It features a collection of images that show that at some point, John Hammond’s vision for a park filled with dinosaurs has come to fruition.

We see a tour bus filled with spectators witness a herd of dinosaurs run past it, which suggests that the park is indeed open to the public.

That is followed by footage of a man and boy in a bubble ball-shaped vehicle, also interacting with dinosaurs.

We see a woman (Bryce Dallas Howard) who turns to look at something or someone off-camera. Her facial expression reads, “Trouble in paradise”.

She appears to be facing (or the effect of the trailer gives that impression) Chris Pratt’s character, whose own demeanor is rather grim.

These are not people who look as though everything is going well, so we can only speculate as to what has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

The full Jurassic World trailer is set to come out on Thanksgiving on NBC during the football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers.

Have you seen the trailer? Are you excited for the Jurassic World movie?

Netflix’s Final Season Of ‘The Killing’ Gets Official Trailer

Netflix first gave us a teaser for the upcoming final installment of The Killing a few months ago, and then released a poster earlier this week. Now, the first real trailer is out.

Netflix also put up a trailer for seasons 1-3, encouraging members to get caught up before the new season debuts.

Netflix announced that it was resurrecting the show in November after AMC canceled it. As it offers members the first three seasons, having a legitimate conclusion makes the show more valuable for the company.

  • Dumb and Dumber To Trailer Promises Catheter Jokes, Deer Riding

Last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the world finally got a taste of the new Dumb and Dumber sequel as the first official trailer premiered. Now, it’s (predictably) spreading like wildfire online.

By the looks of the trailer, Dumb and Dumber To may just out-Farrelly the 1994 classic, which has spent 20 years near the top of the most-often-quoted movies list. In a litter over two minutes, we’re treated to a catheter joke, some deer riding, a cat’s butthole, simulated bicycle sex, fireworks, and uh, something with a grandma.

    Check it out:

Dumber and Dumber To, starring Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, and Rob Riggle, will hit theaters on November 14th.

It’s hard to believe this movie is 20 years old, but it means fans of Dumb and Dumber have had quite some time to generate expectations for this sequel. Let’s hope it meets them.

  • Dumb and Dumber Gets Unnerving Reworking

Dumb and Dumber Gets Unnerving Reworking

Dumb and Dumber, the movie that spawned a billion Big Gulps jokes, holds a special place in the hearts of many. The Farrelly brothers’ 1994 comedy is thought to be one of the funniest films of all time by some, and though I don’t really like superlatives, I will say that Dumb and Dumber has some of the best diner scenes of all time. It also has the best long-running gag about a parrot of all time. It also features the best comedic Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels roles of their respective careers.

Ok, we all love Dumb and Dumber. Let’s move on.

What if one of the most beloved comedies of the past 20 years wasn’t so serious anymore? What I’m saying, is what if someone spliced together some clips from the film, added an ominous soundtrack, and turned the whole thing into a strangely unnerving story of unrequited love and obsession called Love and Lover?

    What? Someone did? Awesome!

Maybe that’s the direction this will take…

  • Game of Thrones Honest Trailer Is Not Suitable for Sean Bean

If you haven’t watched seasons one through three of HBO’s Game of Thrones, first of all shame on you. Second, don’t watch this honest trailer. Everything that you’d ever want not spoiled is spoiled. Just don’t watch it.

If you’re still here, good. The Game of Thrones honest trailer (via Screen Junkies) is my favorite type of honest trailer–the struglling to actually find something bad to say about it honest trailer. Screen Junkies had the same problem when they made the honest trailer for Jurassic Park. Seriously, how the hell are you going to find much to complain about with GoT?

Well, there’s the Sean Bean thing. It’s so sad, really. Someone give that guy a break-or at least a full season run on something.

Check it out below. Remember, Game of Thrones returns to primetime HBO this Sunday. I hope I make it to Sunday, but the weight of my own expectations is currently threatening to explode my heart.

  • New ‘Evolve’ Trailer Previews Laser Guns, Massive Monsters

One month ago 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios officially announced Evolve, a cooperative/competitive multiplayer shooter that combines elements of the Left 4 Dead and Monster Hunter games. The concept puts four players in control of a team of human hunters tracking down massive monsters. The twist is that each monster is controlled by another player, potentially making Evolve that much more challenging.

Laser gatling guns, a sniper rifles, harpoons, and some sort of electricity-firing weapons appear to be coming to Evolve.
