  • Khloe Kardashian Lashes Out at Haters Who Blame Her for James Harden’s Bad NBA Season

Khloe Kardashian is pissed. She so pissed she’s lashing out at haters who have had the audacity to blame her for the bad NBA season boyfriend James Harden has had.

It was on Thursday, during a live chat on her website that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had her say.

“Suck my d–k and my balls. Someone’s trying to give me too much power,” Khloe Kardashian said to her listeners. “But my p–sy is f–king powerful bro, let me tell you that.”

    “[He’s] the f–king s–t,” she added.

While Khloe Kardashian wasn’t exactly eloquent in her response to these haters, one can certainly understand her anger. It’s simply not feasible for anyone to blame her for what Harden did or didn’t do on the basketball court.

Apparently shaming the girlfriends or wives of athletes isn’t new, however. In addition to Khloe Kardashian, Jessica Simpson has taken the heat when her then-boyfriend Tony Romo had a bad NFL season back in 2007.

James Harden has been struggling this season with the Houston Rockets. Just last month the team lost three games in a row, and by 20 points each.

Still, that’s certainly not Khloe Kardashian’s fault.

What’s your taken on women getting blamed when their athlete guys don’t live up to fan’s expectations?

And what’s your take on Khloe Kardashian’s response? Should she have at least tried to remain ladylike?

  • Tony Romo Set To Lead Cowboys Team: Will His Back Be An Issue?

Tony Romo Set To Lead Cowboys Team: Will His Back Be An Issue?

Tony Romo is a new kind of conundrum this season.

In the past, Romo has been seen with all the potential in the world and the ability to “choke” on it all at the worst possible time.

But this season Romo seems to be having the best season of his entire career.

The kicker? His back injuries have been particularly terrible.

In fact, it was the lack of Romo that some feel kept the Dallas Cowboys from having an even better record than their current 8-3.

It’s been good enough thus far to keep the Cowboys in contention for not only a playoff spot, but the top of the NFC East.

However, Tony Romo may find himself in a really tough position on Thursday as he leads the Dallas Cowboys against bitter rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles are the current leaders of the NFC East, but a loss to the Cowboys today can and will change that.

Tony Romo has insisted that his back shouldn’t be a problem. He doesn’t expect to really feel it until after the game.

” I’ll be good to go Thursday,” said Romo. “I think more than anything you always look at the two games back-to-back, you’ve got to be able to adjust after that. We’ll deal with next week, next week.”

Although Tony Romo is confident of his health heading into the game, some fans are worried as to how he’ll hold up against a vicious Philadelphia defense (and how the Cowboys will hold up if for any reason he gets taken out of the game).

The Cowboys vs. Eagles is already looking to be the game of the season, even if the prime-time slot was granted to the San Francisco 49ers and their rivals, the Seattle Seahawks.

Romo has led the Cowboys to far better results this year than he has previously, but the team is entering a particularly tough stretch.

It could be that Tony Romo is prioritizing his team’s need for his leadership over any personal injury problems.

While that’s admirable, it’s certainly understandable why Cowboys fans may be worried.

  • Jerry Jones’ Wife Gets Bumped Out Of First Class To Accommodate Tony Romo

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones found a solution to accommodate injured quarterback Tony Romo during a recent flight to London where the Cowboys will be facing the Jacksonville Jaguars: boot his wife Gene out of first class. The comments were made in jest, but Jones was truly concerned about Romo’s accommodations for the flight. The quarterback is currently suffering from two small fractures in his back.

Jerry Jones told the Dallas News, “Some of those seats really make out into a nice cot, bed-type configuration. He will get one of those. Gene will sit up in the bulkhead. Romo will lounge on the way over. You don’t think it’d be me, do you?” At least it proves that Jones cares about his players’ well-being.

Of course we know how the saying goes: “All’s well that ends well”. In the end, Jerry Jones didn’t have to make his wife sit up in the bulkhead. Tony Romo was still seated in first class and had a pretty comfortable flight. “The flight was fine. I slept. It went by quick. That part of it was no problem. I think it continues to get a little bit better incrementally every day. You just reassess it every day.” Romo said.

Romo missed practice all of last week and had to sit in the sidelines as the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Cowboys 28-17. He is expected to play next Sunday as the Dallas Cowboys faces off against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

All the joking around about his wife’s first class status aside, Jerry Jones has high hopes regarding Romo being ready for the Jaguars match. “The proof of the pudding is we certainly wouldn’t put him on that plane and take him to London and fly over and fly back if we weren’t planning on him playing,’’ said Jones.

  • Dallas Cowboys’ Loss Versus San Francisco 49ers Shocks Football World

The Dallas Cowboys faced down the San Francisco 49ers today. The game ended in a win for the 49ers.

    The score was 28-17.

Football commentators rushed to explain this upset.

SB Nation’s David Fucillo attributed the loss to “the Cowboys shooting themselves in the foot as anything else”. The Cowboys suffered from a bad defense, which ended with a score in favor of the 49ers 28-3 in the second quarter. As far as their offense was concerned, Fucillo called the Cowboys “baaaaad”. According to him, the Cowboys handed the 49ers way too many opportunities.

The 49ers seized those opportunities, and that’s why they won the game.

Eric Edholm of the Shutdown Corner explained how even though the final score of 28-17 seems like the game was pretty close, it was anything but. After the 49ers gained their lead, since they “seemed content running out the clock in the second half. Some in Dallas might want to just fast-forward to January already.”

“You have to keep telling yourself it is just one game,” wrote Tom Ryle of SB Nation, “but how do you keep from wondering if this will be the season the Dallas Cowboys fall apart after the horrendous showing they had against the San Francisco 49ers on opening day?” Three times the Cowboys’ Tony Romo attempted to pass into coverage in the first half and all of those times, the 49ers intercepted. It lead to Ryle asking: “What happened with Tony Romo? Was this a problem of not getting enough reps in training camp as they tried to protect his back?”

It also lead to mocking internet memes.

  • Kyle Orton Throws Late Interception, Secures A Playoff Spot For The Eagles

Well, the fans of the Dallas Cowboys are certainly used to last minute losses, and losing games due to interceptions.

Oddly enough, it was not Tony Romo that did it to them this time, but Kyle Orton who threw a game-ending interception.

Kyle Orton was brought in as the starting quarterback after Tony Romo suffered an injury in week 16 that was set to keep him out for the rest of the season, whether the Dallas Cowboys had made the playoffs or not.

While Kyle Orton had an impressive performance for much of the game after not starting a game for several seasons, it was not enough to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles are a team that has been playing for the playoffs continuously, and have won 7 of their last 8 games. The Cowboys lost on yet another late interception, and will not be making the playoffs again after losing the game 24-22.

After it was reported that Tony Romo was out, the Cowboys also made an interesting decision when signing the veteran Jon Kitna, who was previously retired at the age of 41. The Cowboys are seemingly out of options, and after missing the playoffs again, the may need to continue reworking their roster and their coaching staff.

This marks the third year in a row that the Cowboys have been in a position to play for the playoffs in the last game of the season, where the have subsequently lost. Ironically, it was also to a different team in the NFC East each time, sending a different team to the playoffs each year that does not include the Cowboys.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has plenty of experience seeing his team in this position. After the loss, he stated in a disappointing fashion, “It’s unthinkable, really, to me to be sitting here three years in a row and this game ends up putting us at .500 and this game eliminates us from going to the playoffs.”

The Eagles offense has been something to marvel at throughout the 2013 season with the up-and-coming quarterback play of Nick Foles, and LeSean McCoy, who continues to shine as a running back, including setting a rushing record against the Detroit Lions.

Last week, the Eagles beat the Chicago Bears in order to take control of the NFC East, despite the fact that the final game would determine which team went to the playoffs.

Despite Kyle Orton’s heroic effort as Tony Romo’s replacement, the Cowboys were simply not able to shut down the Eagles’ offense. The late interception from Orton also sealed the game for the Eagles, and capped off another disappointing season for the Cowboys.

Kyle Orton finished the game 30 of 46 for 358 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. It was Orton’s first start in two years, and while putting up fairly impressive numbers, the Cowboys never led in the game, and were unable to make the playoffs again.

  • Jon Kitna Signs With Dallas Cowboys As Insurance For Tony Romo

Any fan of the NFL is aware of the recent struggles of the Dallas Cowboys, and as Tony Romo continues to struggle, it only makes sense that the Cowboys would bring in someone new.

Jon Kitna has been signed, and as a veteran, the Cowboys hope that he will be able to help their quarterback situation somehow.

The Dallas Cowboys are currently in second place in the NFC East, although they have the chance to make the playoffs with a win against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday, who currently hold the first place position with a record of 9-6.

Jon Kitna, at the age of 41, has been signed on as the 3rd string quarterback, and whether he will play, or make a difference on the team will have to be determined in the future of the team.

Kitna was the Cowboys’ backup quarterback 2009-2011, and started in nine games during 2010 during the last time that Tony Romo was sidelined with an injury.

In addition to the shortcomings of Tony Romo’s play on the field, he has also suffered a recent injury, and is likely to sit out of possibly their final game of the season. The Cowboys were in control of the division for part of the season, but they are now stuck with a record of 8-7, and will be lucky to make the playoffs with or without Tony Romo.

Tony Romo’s health has been a big topic of speculation, and while he seems to be ruled out of week 17’s game, coach Jason Garrett has said that his status is still undecided. If the Cowboys are to miss out on the playoffs again, it has also been speculated that much of the coaching stuff will be fired. That may be the case if Tony Romo is stuck in the bench, forcing the coaching stuff to be abandoned.

They had the lead against the Green Bay Packers in a game that they controlled throughout, Romo threw multiple interceptions late in the game, which allowed the Packers to come back in the game and win.

With the exception of their lucky comeback win against the Redskins last weekend, one of the worst teams in the division, the Cowboys have been struggling to find a way to win, and lost their previous two games.

Kyle Orton is planning to start in week 17 against the Eagles, while Jon Kitna will come in to replace him if necessary.

  • NFL Most Disliked Players List Led by Michael Vick

There are a lot of unlikeable characters playing today in the NFL. But according to a survey published yesterday on Forbes.com, Michael Vick is the most disliked man currently playing professional football.

Michael Vick served his time, 19 months, for being involved in a dog fighting ring. However, in a society that considers dogs not just household pets, but members of the family – it is unlikely that Vick will ever win back the affections of the greater public. It has been four years since his release from prison, and it’s obvious that some crimes will never be forgiven.

The scientific poll was conducted by the Marketing Research Company, E-Poll. It measured the public opinion of celebrities and athletes, alike, based upon a survey of 1,100 people. The qualifying age was 13 years old and up. Vick lead the way with 53% of those polled reporting that they disliked him. Although it should be noted that Vick is now likeable enough to endorse Nike products and football fans in general feel okay with him, as opposed to non-football fans.

There were some obvious choices on the list. Yes, the media-craze surrounding San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o last year put him on the list at second. The rest of the list seems to fall into place in terms of general public perception. The remaining top ten are: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (he plays dirty), Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (multiple sexual assault chargers), New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez (under performer, hated by Jets fans), Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (he complains and scowls a lot), Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo (he plays for Dallas), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (a little, okay, a lot too perfect), Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (under performer/poor image) and Detroit Lions runningback Reggie Bush (he had to give back his Heisman Trophy and he gets injured a lot.)

Did the survey miss a player that you simply can not stand? Let us know in the comments section below.

  • Tony Romo Has Nearly 5X As Many Urban Dictionary Listings As Dick Butkus

If you saw Sunday’s Cowboys/Broncos game, or even just the highlights from it, you know that Dallas QB Tony Romo had a great game that was killed by a damning interception late in the fourth quarter (the defense that gave up 51 points didn’t help either). This is something that Denver QB Peyton Manning was almost certain to make him pay for. And he did.

Now, of course, there is no shortage of “Tony Romo Chokes” headlines (fair or not):

    Tony Romo Chokes

This was only the latest of a few moments that Romo would probably like to have back. Yes, the man had a spectacular game, and common sense would dictate that the loss was really anybody’s fault but his. But still, what happened happened, and it’s only going to add to the “choke moments” compilation for those keeping track.

At this point (again, whether it’s fair or not), Romo is likely going to have the word “choke” associated with his name for the rest of sports history, unless he starts winning some Super Bowls.

    Tony Romo Chokes

All you have to do is search Google for “tony romo chokes,” and there are seemingly endless results talking about whether or not he is a “choke artist”. Even if you don’t think he deserves the title, the fact that the conversation has happened many, many times is indisputable.

While performing that particular search, just out of curiosity about what they’re saying about Sunday’s game, I couldn’t help but notice a result from Urban Dictionary ranking fairly highly in the Google results. This led to the revelation that Tony Romo has a whopping fourteen listings on the site. For comparison, legendary linebacker Dick Butkus has three.

Among the Romo listings, you’ll see:

Tony Romo (born April 21, 1980, in San Diego, California) is the current starting quarterback for the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys. He took over for Drew Bledsoe in week 8 of 2006 season.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t have near the upvotes of the top-ranked definition, which was posted all the way back in 2007:

    To drop something
    To mess up horribly
To make the biggest f*** up of your life
    To be overrated…

If you wade through the rest of them, be prepared for a lot of NSFW language and homophobic ramblings.

At least Tony can take comfort knowing that he probably has a much better life than everyone who contributed to his Urban Dictionary listings.

  • Tony Romo “Chokes” Again Despite Historic Game

Sunday’s NFL game between Denver and Dallas was an offensive showcase, to say the least. Peyton Manning, arguably the NFL’s best quarterback of all time, passed for 414 yards and finished with 5 total touchdowns, 4 passing and 1 running. Overall, it was a fairly average day for Peyton, who is on-pace to obliterate all NFL quarterback single-season records.

However, Peyton Manning was not the best quarterback in Sunday’s epic match-up. Tony Romo, perhaps the league’s most hated and criticized quarterback, completed 25 of 36 passes for 506 yards and 5 touchdown passes. Romo’s performance was 49 yards shy of breaking the all-time NFL record for yards passed in a single game (Romo’s effort ranks 12th all-time). It was the first time a Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback had thrown for over 500 yards, and also only the 5th time in NFL history that a quarterback had thrown for 500 yards and 5 TD’s. Romo was also the first quarterback to throw for 500 yards with 36 or fewer attempts.

Even after this performance, Romo still has his naysayers. Following the game, people took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with another Cowboy’s loss. A grand majority of the comments are those that have been oft-repeated concerning Romo, but here is one gem from comedian Jim Norton:

    Romo Tweet

The outrage from fans comes from Romo’s history of choking in prime-time. Thus far in his 8 seasons as a starting-quarterback for the Cowboys, Romo has not been able to lead his team to a Super Bowl – a fact that is not acceptable for the fans of the storied Dallas program. Not only has Romo failed to win it all, he has failed to lead his team to victory in many fourth quarter situations, such as the game last year against the Redskins in which Romo had a chance to lead Dallas to victory and clinch the NFC East title.

Despite the public calls for Romo’s head, Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones still stands by his quarterback: “Tony played the best game that I’ve ever seen him play in his career, not only from the standpoint of how he executed, not only how he created plays but his leadership. That was unfortunate that it came down to that at the end, but you can see the very best over on the other side of the ball, it can happen to them, too.”

Jones even went as far as to compare Romo to Broncos’s legend, John Elway: “The guy standing over on the other sideline or up in the box, John Elway, had those things said about him his entire career. He was a great player and we all know that, and he ultimately got his Super Bowls and they don’t say that about him any more.”

Perhaps a Super Bowl victory is exactly what it will take for Cowboy’s fans to stop hating on Romo. Their vitriolic attitudes cannot possibly stem from Romo’s average performances; Romo consistently ranks as one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league and has an above-average DVOA (a measure of per-play efficiency).

Based on Romo’s numbers throughout his career, Cowboys fans should probably look toward other areas of deficiencies with the Dallas organization. Romo found himself having to make such a desperate throw late in the game on Sunday due to the previous play, in which he was sacked and lost 6 yards. Maybe the offensive line needs to be restructured? Or perhaps the blame should be shouldered upon the defense, who gave up an awful-lot of points (51 to be specific). While the Cowboys’s secondary did catch the first interception from Peyton Manning on the year, it was more due to a poor throw from Manning, himself, than due to great defense from the Cowboys.

In sports we have a tendency to criticize and condemn the leader and constantly forget about the supporting cast. It is fairly evident that Romo was not to blame for Sunday’s loss. If the fans would start shouting their displeasure about the Cowboys’s play-calling or defensive effort, perhaps Romo would have some of the pressure taken off his shoulders and perform to his potential. After all, it is hard to throw while carrying the weight of an entire Texas-sized fan-hate on one’s shoulders.

  • Tony Romo Has Bruised Ribs; Will Play Against KC

After taking a dual-hit from both Matthias Kiwanuka and Justin Trattou during the 2nd quarter of Sunday night’s Cowboys vs. Giants game, Tony Romo remained on the ground and missed the next snap. At first glance, it almost appeared that Cowboys fans (and the rest of the NFL community) would have a chance to delight that someone else would finally be playing quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Fortunately for Tony Romo (and unfortunately for the rest of us), X-rays after last night’s game show that Romo only suffers from bruised ribs. In talking to Dallas’s 105.3 The Fan, Steven Jones, vice-president of the Cowboys, stated that “We feel optimistic with the tests coming back negative. He’ll be sore but something he’ll be able to play with, as it looks right now.’’

Bruised ribs are an injury that most quarterbacks deal with during their tenure in the NFL. Romo, however, has cause for special concern. During a game against the 49ers in 2011, Romo suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung after being hit by linebacker Ahmad Brooks. Despite the injury, however, Romo was able to come back into the game and lead his team to victory. Perhaps that is why the Cowboys and Romo are so optimistic concerning his return Sunday. There should still be some worry on behalf of the Cowboys, however. Dez Bryant suffered a sprain foot during the 4th quarter of Sunday night’s game, and cornerback Morris Claiborne also suffered an injury to his shoulder.

Despite the criticism constantly surrounding Romo and his injury Sunday night, Romo showcased why he is a starting NFL quarterback. Romo completed 36 of 49 passes for 263 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Fans can only hope that Romo will repeat this performance next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, who saw a spark of life in their first game of the year with a 28-2 victory over Jacksonville, behind the efforts of new quarterback Alex Smith (formerly of the 49’ers) and new head coach Andy Reid (formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles).

  • Tony Romo: Cyst Removal Will Have ‘No Effect on Training Camp’

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo says he hopes to be out on the field for the team’s mini-camp next month after undergoing a minor procedure to removal a cyst on his back.

The cyst removal, however, will keep Romo out of team activities for the next three weeks. The Cowboys’ mini-camp runs from June 11th to the 13th.

“That’s why I did it now. This will have no effect on training camp. No way will it have an impact. And I still think there’s a good chance I’m on the field for mini-camp,” Romo told The Dallas Morning News. ““It was something I felt like was nagging me just enough. I wanted to make sure to get it done now. I wanted to take care of it earlier rather than later.’’

Romo says that the back cyst began bothering him in April, and he wound up having the removal procedure a short time after that. He confirms that it wasn’t cancerous.

Training camp starts on July 19th, and Romo is adamant that the medical procedure will not have any lingering effects.

“If this was the regular season and I had to play next week, I could,” said Romo. “This is just about being smart.”

  • Tony Romo Plays Golf, Twitter Makes Fun Of His Football Skills

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been golfing over the weekend at Pebble Beach, and reportedly (along with his partner) lost a lead during the final day of the Pro-Am.

Some NFL fans see a familiar pattern.

“So apparently, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are golf’s regular season, and Sunday is its playoffs,” writes Darin Gantt at NBC’s ProFootballTalk.

Romo’s taking a lot more abuse than that on Twitter.

That’s a small sampling. Unfortunately for poor Tony, we’re not seeing many stick up for his football abilities in the current Twitter conversation. Twitter can be so cruel.
