  • Gisele Audited by IRS After Listed as Forbes’ Highest-Paid Model

Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, was recently reviewed by the IRS after making “The World’s Highest-Paid Models of 2013” list on Forbes.

According to Forbes, the 33-year-old earned $42 million last year and “replaced Beyoncé as the face of H&M, reportedly beat out Rihanna for Chanel and took over David Yurman from Kate Moss.”

This assessment obviously comes at a time when taxes are due for completion tomorrow, Tuesday April 15.

But, the mother-of-two and wife of NFL player Tom Brady told sources that Forbes’ calculations-determined by merchandising partnerships, photo shoots, contracts, and other fashion gigs-were terribly off.

“It’s sad because the people who write these things don’t have my bank-account details,” she told Brazilian magazine Mdemulher, according to Mail Online.

And, it appears that making it on the list doesn’t impress Bundchen whatsoever.

“I do OK, I earn plenty, but not as much as they say,” she said. “I’ve already been audited by the IRS because of this list, and, truthfully, whether I’m on this list or not doesn’t interest me.”

She later stated: “I’ve got the same interests, the same day-to-day life, as any woman. I want to raise my children well, be a good wife and work.”

The supermodel apparently doesn’t view figures as of importance to her daily life. To her, family is what truly matters.

“This is what I value: Are my children educated, is my husband happy, are people feeling positive energy from me? There should be a magazine to quantify knowledge, understanding and love for people: That is power.”

Bundchen ranked first place yet again for the seventh year in a row, supposedly making her the richest and most powerful supermodel in the fashion industry.

However, after thorough investigation, the IRS determined that Forbes’ estimations were actually more than what Bundchen garnered in 2013.

Additionally, models Miranda Kerr ($7.2M), Adriana Lima ($6M), and Kate Moss ($5.7M) made the list.

  • Tara Reid Reveals She Kissed Tom Brady

Tara Reid Reveals She Kissed Tom Brady

Tara Reid, actress of American Pie and Sharknado, revealed she has indeed kissed football player Tom Brady. According to the Daily Mail, Kyle And Jackie O were interviewing her on their Australian breakfast radio show segment, “60 Seconds Of Kiss”, when she revealed the kiss.

“He’s pretty good looking,” she said of Brady. She revealed she also kissed Koby Abberton, who is a member of the Australian surfing gang, the Bra Boys.

When asked about Jason Biggs, her co-star of American Pie, the actress said, “no way!”

There is no mention of the Tom Brady fling on Reid’s Twitter profile. However, she did show off her bikini body from a day off of filming:

    And her new engagement ring:

Which turned out just to be a prop from her new movie:

Her current project, Charlie’s Farm by director Chris Sun is currently being filmed in Queensland, Australia on a tiny budget of 1.5 million. According to the Courier-Mail, she has hope that “there’s going to be a couple of them. This could be a huge franchise. Having someone who’s done so many films like myself heightens the interest in it. That’s the beauty about what you do and being famous is that you can help a lot of people.”

The Daily Mail reported that Reid has been enjoying her time in Australia making the film. “‘I’m not really missing the internet at all. I don’t have to read anything about myself I can just focus on the film and have a good time. I did an interview the other day and they were mentioning the gossip that’s happening right now around the world and I had no idea what they were even talking about. I kind of like that, it was refreshing,” she said “It’s amazing here, we’re in the middle of nowhere and there’s no paparazzi. It’s not like being home when they’re outside your house and they watch every little move you make. Here it’s very comforting for me.”

  • Tom Brady, Gisele Selling Mansion for $50 Million

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen have put their 14,000 square foot, eco-friendly mansion on the market for $50 million. The couple reportedly invested $20 million into the construction of the Bentwood, California home, which features six bedrooms, a library and a koi-filled moat. The house has been listed with the Westside Estate Agency.

Brady had told Architectural Digest that “Gisele and I have eight sisters between us, and there are lots of kids. We built this house as a sanctuary for our family – a place where we can enjoy being together.”

The house was designed by architect Richard Landry, in collaboration with interior designer Joan Behnke. Bundchen, a global ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program was intent on incorporating as many recycled materials as possible as the house was built.

Brady commented, “We knew Richard and Joan could take us where we wanted to go without imposing a signature look. They understood that we wanted a comfortable house, not a style statement.”

    Potential buyers took to Twitter:

    Behold some haters:

Brady and Bundchen are reportedly building another home near Boston, where they plan to live full-time.

  • Gisele Bundchen Shares Sexy Shape via Instagram

Gisele Bundchen was all fun and games when she was a guest on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon just a few months ago, but she’s all work these days as seen in a sexy Instagram photo she posted on her page. The super model was featured in a shoot for her own lingerie line, Gisele Bundchen Intimates, with fashion photographer Kevin O’Brien. The black and white shot she squirreled away to share with her friends and fans show the mom of two in exquisite form.

Bunchen is, of course, the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. She is the mother of two of Brady’s children–Benjamin and Vivian. Brady also has a son, Jack, who lives with mom Bridget Moynahan. Given the good looks of both Brady and Bundchen (okay, yes–Moynahan, too) it’s no wonder the quarterback probably has the best looking kids in the entire NFL family.

Gisele Bundchen had fun captioning her sexy Instagram shot before posting it online.

“Backstage of a special project with my lingerie Gisele Bündchen Intimates shot by @_kevinobrien vwww.giseleintimates.com,” she wrote. It’s still a bit obvious that English isn’t the beautiful Brazilian super model’s native tongue.

The sheer undergarment Bundchen is wearing is part of her slinky lingerie line. Now every guy who sees it will want to buy one of these for his wife or girlfriend–at least in some cases anyway. The average woman is hard pressed to even come close to comparing with the lean, toned, and incredibly leggy fashion model.

This photo shoot comes almost immediately after Gisele’s appearance at Paris Fashion Week where she walked the runway in the Balenciaga show. She wore a sweater with an embellished collar with black silk pants. Her hair was pulled back into a low bun to show off her sleek and graceful neckline.

Now that everyone has seen how amazing Gisele Bundchen looks as a mom of two, they will want to either deprive themselves of dinner or gorge on something rich and decadent, knowing full well that no matter what they do, they won’t look like the super model.

  • Tom Brady Says He Won’t Be Watching The Super Bowl

If you think New England Patriots’ quarterback, Tom Brady, will be curling up with his supermodel wife, Gislele Bundchen, to watch this year’s Super Bowl, think again, because according to the all-star quarterback, he has no plans to watch the game at all.

After losing to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, 26-16, and being completely outplayed by the quarterback-of-the-moment, Peyton Manning, Brady says he plans to miss the game entirely, and it seems he doesn’t feel embarrassed to say so. “I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully,” he said in an interview.

And the main reason, he says, is because the Super Bowl would be too painful to watch, and viewing it would just likely annoy him.

“Those games are hard to watch,” Brady explained. “I don’t really see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game to watch it. Our season’s over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching the game. That’s pretty much how I feel.”

It’s pretty safe to assume that most would probably agree with Brady, as anyone who either plays or played competitive sports, knows how it feels to watch the team that beat you go on to play for the championship. But after he spoke out against Richard Sherman’s rant, kind of taking a holier-than-thou-stance, some might say Brady is being a sore sport.

In addition, he said if the game against Denver was played on his home field, in Gillette Stadium, it would have probably turned out way different. “Yeah, of course it would have been different,” he said. “There’s a lot of things that play into these types of games. You’re right, you look at those games, you look back at the Cincy game and the Jet game, those games that we lost, and all of them mean something. It means something in September, they mean something in December.”

  • Tom Brady Blasts Richard Sherman For Rant

Tom Brady Blasts Richard Sherman For Rant

After Richard Sherman’s post-game rant yesterday, after defeating the San Francisco 49ers, quarterback Tom Brady has spoken out to criticize him.

In an interview on the “Dennis & Callahan” show he said that he wasn’t surprised at Sherman trash talking after the game, but it’s something he nor his team would ever do. “I don’t know him at all,” said Brady. “I’ve watched him play. He’s that kind of guy. So, you know, I approach the game, and I have respect for my opponents. That’s the way our team plays. We win with graciousness, and when we lose, we could do better. Some teams don’t always do that, or that’s not their program.”

And nearly 24-hours after the rant, Sherman told MMBQ that people shouldn’t confuse his on-the-field passion with being angry or bitter, and that his trash-talking-football-persona isn’t the entire person he is.

“It was loud, it was in the moment, and it was just a small part of the person I am,” he said. “I don’t want to be a villain, because I’m not a villainous person. When I say I’m the best cornerback in football, it’s with a caveat: There isn’t a great defensive backfield in the NFL that doesn’t have a great front seven. Everything begins with the pressure up front, and that’s what we get from our pass rushers every Sunday.”

Sherman also says that before demonizing him and labeling him a bad person, people should look at what he does off the field for his family and his community.

“To those who would call me a thug or worse because I show passion on a football field, don’t judge a person’s character by what they do between the lines,” he said. “Judge a man by what he does off the field, what he does for his community, what he does for his family.”

  • Denver Broncos Move Past Patriots And On To The Super Bowl

After the spectacular season that the Denver Broncos have had, including the best season of Peyton Manning’s career, they are certainly deserving of a trip to the Super Bowl, which they earned yesterday.

The Denver Broncos took an early lead during the AFC Championship Game, and perhaps surprised some people, although the Patriots were able to make a comeback at the end.

However, the lead was too large, and even Tom Brady but could not win it for them in the end. The Broncos won the game 26-16, sending them to another Super Bowl.

In what was hyped up as 15th meeting between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, widely viewed as two of the top quarterbacks in the history of the NFL, Manning came away with the victory.

Manning’s win yesterday puts Brady up 10-5 in the series, although Manning is now 2-1 in AFC Championship Games.

After playing with the Indianapolis Colts and the Denver Broncos, Peyton Manning has had plenty of experience playing in the games.

After the game, he said “Being in my 16th season, going to my third Super Bowl, I know how hard it is to get there.” Manning, more than anyone, knows what it is like to make a comeback.

He has had multiple surgeries and suffered a tragic loss to the Ravens last year, while most people had already considered his career to be over before becoming a member of the Broncos.

Following their win yesterday, the Broncos will move on to the Super Bowl where they will play against the Seattle Seahawks, coming off of a big win against their big rivals.

The Seahawks secured their victory with a late interception in the end-zone with the help of Richard Sherman, who may end up getting the defensive player of the year award.

The Broncos and the Seahawks have continually been the two dominant teams in the league throughout the year, and it is fitting for the two of them to meet in the Super Bowl.

The game will feature the best offense in the NFL, the Denver Broncos, and the best defense in the league with the Seattle Seahawks, earning the nickname of the “Legion of Boom.” The Seahawks also have one of the top offenses behind Russell Wilson at quarterback and Marshawn Lynch at the running back position.

Peyton Manning has taken the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl XLVIII where they will meet the Seahawks in an epic showdown between the two best teams in the NFL.

If Manning is able to win, he will also be able to finally tie his brother’s record with two Super Bowl rings, after having a much better career overall.

  • Patriots Lose to Broncos in AFC Championship Game

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots lost the AFC championship game to the Broncos on Sunday in Denver. The final score of the game was 26-16, a disheartening loss for the Patriots after a season filled with turmoil.

The Patriots fought hard to head to the Super Bowl next month, but were ultimately unable to grasp the win. The team managed to hold on until the loss of cornerback Aqib Talib, when his knee was injured early in the second quarter.

Before the season even started, injuries and other incidents cost the Patriots several star players, including starters Rob Gronkowski, Armond Armstead, and Aaron Hernandez. (Gronkowski and Armstead were both injured, while Hernandez was lost to the team after being charged with murder.)

However, 2013 wasn’t a complete failure for Brady and coach Bill Belichick, as they somehow managed 13 wins over the course of the season.

Sunday’s game was filled with bad luck for the Patriots, as they were forced to play without any of their best defensive team members by the second quarter. (Two of which were unable to play at all.)

Now, Peyton Manning and the Broncos are headed to the Super Bowl, awarding the eldest Manning son the opportunity to take home his second Super Bowl ring.

Despite the loss, the Patriots did manage some decent plays, including a pass completed by Brady for a first down in the fourth quarter. However, two of the main reasons being attributed to the ultimate outcome were regretful coaching choices made by Belichick, as well as a failed attempt at a two-point conversion.

The Patriots were also forced to head into the championship game without five of their starting players: Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, Tommy Kelly, Sebastian Vollmer, and Brandon Spikes.

Besides the substantial efforts made by Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, wide receiver, Julian Edelman, also performed well.

Commenting on the outcome of the game, Brady said, “I think this team is a very resilient, tough, hard-nosed team and I think we just got beat by a team today that played very well.”

Belichick made a similar statement concerning Denver’s stellar performance, saying, “They were the better team today.”

The Broncos will attempt to win the 2014 Super Bowl on February 2.

  • NFL Playoff Schedule Set and Ready to Go

NFL Playoff Schedule Set and Ready to Go

It’s down to the final four teams in the NFL. Two squads will earn the right to represent their respective divisions at Superbowl XLVIII on February 2nd in New Jersey. No one is surprised that the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are the last teams standing. All four have dominated in their division and each have strong quarterbacks with solid head coaches.

Let’s take a look at the matchups for next Sunday.

    AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos
    Kick off: 3 pm
    Opening Vegas Line: Denver -4.5

Here we go again, another Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning matchup. No doubt that the rivalry has become one of the best in all of sports. The two quarterbacks have squared off a total of 15 times in the regular and post season. This will be the third time that they have faced off in an AFC Championship Game. They each have one win.

It’s been nine yeas since Brady won his third Super Bowl ring. He doesn’t have the key receivers he’s had in the past but Terrific Tom usually seems to find a way to make due. In the last Manning/Brady Bowl in November of this year, Brady pulled off a Houdini Act for the ages when he erased a 24 point half-time deficit over the Broncos in New England. Meanwhile, Manning has not played in a Super Bowl since 2007 when his Colts beat the Bears 29-17.

    NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
    Kickoff: 6:30 pm
    Opening Vegas Line: Seattle -3.5

Two heated division rivals will go head to head on Sunday evening. San Francisco will have to find a way to score points against one of the best defenses in the league and the dreaded “12th man.” No doubt that Seattle holds one of the best homefield advantages in all of sports. The Seahawks only had one loss at home this year against the Arizona Cardinals, so the 49ers will certainly study that game to see how an average Cardinal team was able to come away with a victory.

If Seattle wins, it will only be the second time in their franchise history that they’ve gone to the Superbowl. They lost in 2005 to the Steelers. The 49ers, on the other hand, will look for a return trip to the big game after losing a heart breaker to the Baltimore Ravens last year.

  • NFL Playoff Schedule: Down To Four Teams With Two Epic Match-Ups

NFL Playoff Schedule: Down To Four Teams With Two Epic Match-Ups

The NFL playoff schedule have seen some exciting games so far, but the divisional round was a bit less than stellar, and did not see any surprises for the teams that advanced to the conference championships.

After the divisional round has concluded, four teams remain, and each team is matched up with another team that they are painfully familiar with.

The Seahawks will be playing their division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Patriots will face the Broncos, pairing Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, something that fans have seen in the AFC many times.

The Super Bowl is just a few weeks away now, and as the NFL playoff schedule gets smaller by the week, by Sunday night, fans will know which two teams they will be seeing in the big game this year.

Both games will be taking place on Sunday this week, with the AFC Championship Game surprisingly taking place first at 3 p.m. and the NFC Championship Game being shown at 6:30 p.m.

This NFC Championship Game is an important match-up for a number of reasons in a rivalry that goes back several decades with the two teams that will battle to determine who is the best in the west.

To advance to the NFC Championship Game, the Seahawks were able to handle the Saints easily at home and won 23-15, although they led throughout the game, forcing the Saints to make a miraculous comeback.

The rivalry between the coaches dates back to the Pac-12 when Jim Harbaugh was coaching Stanford and Pete Carroll was at USC, and with everything else that surrounds these two teams, it should be an exciting game on Sunday night. It also boasts two of the best young quarterbacks who can both run and pass with Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson.

As far as the AFC, everyone in the country had probably predicted the top two teams to advance, and fans will get to witness another meeting between two of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game.

The Patriots stomped all over the Colts in a commanding fashion with LeGarrette Blount leading the way with four rushing touchdowns.

This will be the 15th meeting between Manning and Brady, and the last time the two teams played, the Patriots won in overtime. Both teams handled their competition fairly easily to make it to the AFC Championship, showing that they were clearly the two best teams.

Who will win the battle between the two best AFC quarterbacks, and is it possible for an opponent to win in Seattle? Tune in this Sunday and watch both games to find out.

  • Tom Brady Defeats Luck, Next Up Manning

Tom Brady Defeats Luck, Next Up Manning

The New England Patriots beat up the Indianapolis Colts last night in the AFC Championship Game. The offensively charged Patriots won 43-22, but surprisingly the victory had very little to do with quarterback Tom Brady. In fact, the future Hall of Famer, three time Super Bowl Champ and perennial top-ranked passer only threw for 198 yards with no touchdowns.

The Patriots passing game has been limited. No Aaron Hernandez, no Danny Woodhead, no Wes Welker, no Rob Gronkowski. Coach Bill Belichick needed to find a better way to defeat the Colts. And he did, on the ground. The Patriots typically use a running back by committee approach. Last night, however, most of the heavy lifting was accomplished by LeGarrette Blount who ran for 166 yards and four touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, Andrew Luck made some great plays. He was somehow able to survive last week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs by staging a miraculous comeback even though he threw three interceptions. Belichick’s defense was not going to let the same thing happen. Luck threw four interceptions last night, including one pick on his first possession that got ran back for a defensive touchdown. Not a great way for the young signal caller to start the game against the number two ranked team in the AFC .

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nine years since Brady won his third and last Super Bowl. In order for the 36-year-old quarterback to tie his childhood idol Joe Montana’s four rings, he’ll need to get through the Denver Broncos next week in the AFC Championship Game in Denver. It will be another Brady versus Manning meeting. The match up between two of the game’s elites has easily become one of the greatest rivalry in all of sports.

The two quarterbacks have faced each other a total of 12 times. Brady has the edge at 8-4, however, seven of those wins were ultimately decided by a touchdown. The winner of Sunday’s game will earn the right to represent the AFC at Superbowl XLVIII on February 2nd.

  • Chuck Pagano Never Lost Faith in His Team

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano knows how to face adversity. When the cancer survivor was diagnosed with leukemia last September his reaction was one of defiance. “It never entered my mind that I wouldn’t beat it. I never once thought, ‘This is it.”

Thankfully for Pagano, his starting quarterback Andrew Luck has that same never quit mentality. With his team down 28 points in the third quarter to the Kansas City Chiefs in yesterday’s Wild Card game, Pagano never lost faith. “And we said we’re going to get back in this thing one play at a time. It looked bleak at times, but our guys, they never stopped playing. One thing we talked about this week is you can measure a lot of things at the Combine and all those type of things, but you can’t measure what’s inside a man. You can’t measure his heart. And these guys got more heart and grit than anybody I’ve ever been around, just the simple fact that they stuck to the process and never doubted.”

The Colts wound up defeating the Chiefs 45-44. The win was the second largest comeback in the history of the NFL. Next week’s game against the Patriots in New England is going to be an even tougher assignment for a young Colts team with a suspect defense and a second year quarterback. The opening Vegas line has the Patriots as a 7.5 point favorite. But Pagano isn’t worried about a let down after his team’s miraculous comeback. “Human nature is tough to fight, but they won’t get complacent. We signed up for one thing and one thing only when we all got together in Anderson in training camp, and we all know what that is. They’ll enjoy it for a few hours tonight and they’ll be in there first thing in the morning getting treatment, getting a lift, taking care of their bodies and watching tape.”

Kickoff for the Patriots/Colts game is set for 8:15 Saturday night. The two teams did not face each other this season. It will be a Tom Brady versus Andrew Luck matchup, the seasoned veteran against the aggressive second year standout. On the coaching side of things, this is only Pagano’s second year as a head coach. He will face off against Bill Belichick who has been the head coach for three Super Bowl winning New England teams and is currently the longest tenured active head coach in the NFL.

  • Wes Welker Injured In Broncos Win, Unlikely To Play Thursday

Wes Welker left yesterday’s game with a concussion, and it looks like it may be serious enough to keep him out of their next game. Welker is playing in his first season for the Broncos after enjoying great success with Tom Brady and the Patriots for several years.

During the Broncos game that was played on Sunday, Wes Welker was forced to leave before halftime, due to a hard hit that he suffered, which lead to a concussion. This is the second concussion that he has suffered in the past four weeks, after suffering the same injury against the Kansas City Chiefs on November 17.

In yesterday’s game, Welker appeared dazed following the hit that was delivered from Titans’ safety Bernard Pollard. He went low in an attempt to make a catch late in the second quarter, and received a hit in the head as Pollard tried to break up the pass.

Luckily for the Broncos, they have been able to win both games that he has been injured in, but Welker is one of the top receivers in the league, and certainly Peyton Manning’s favorite target on the field, just as he was for Brady. Despite losing Welker, the Broncos beat the Titans 51-28, and clinched a spot in the playoffs with a record of 11-2.

Wes Welker is now subject to the NFL’s concussion protocol, which baseline testing on Monday. Le’Veon Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers also suffered a concussion recently in an NFL league that seems to leave players injured more often than in the past.

Unfortunately for Broncos fans, even if he were cleared to play this week through the test, he would still be unable to play in Thursday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.

The protocol states that a player who is cleared for activity the day after a concussion is only able to participate in the non-contact parts of practice on Thursday, and with this week’s game being on a Thursday, that does not allow him to play.

Along with Peyton Manning, Wes Welker has been an important part of the Broncos offense that has been destroying its opponents throughout the season, especially in the first half of the season.

Before leaving the game with his injury, Wes Welker was able to catch five passes for 61 yards and 1 touchdown. In the 2013 season, Welker has 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns.

  • Tom Brady Pulls Off Houdini Act Again

    Tom Terrific did it again.

The NFL hype machine was on full drive last week, touting the epic Sunday night battle of future Hall of Famers. Manning versus Brady. Who would walk away the victor in yet another meeting of the two most talented quarterbacks of this generation? And if that wasn’t intriguing enough, former Patriot fan favorite Wes Welker, would be making his first return visit to New England after he and the team could not come to contract terms last off season.

For the first half of the game, it looked like it was going to be a stinker. The Broncos were up 24-0 going into halftime. Besides, Brady wasn’t having a great season, while Manning was having a season for the ages. There was no way that the team could mount a comeback, not in those freezing conditions, not when everything that could have gone wrong for the Pats in the first half, went wrong.

So, many football fans went to bed early thinking the game was over. It was not. And those sleepy fans missed out on one of the most incredible comebacks in NFL history.

The winds picked up even more during the second half as the temperatures reached North Pole conditions. Then, momentum began to swing in the other direction. Brady opened up the first half with an 80-yard march down the field. The drive was capped with a 5-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver rookie Julian Edelman. Perhaps the (second) biggest play of the game came next when Bronco running back Monte Ball fumbled. The turnover led to a 1-yard touchdown run for Brandon Bolden which cut the Denver lead to 24-14. The third quarter wrapped up with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski, which made the game 24-21.

Denver still had the lead starting the fourth quarter. However, Manning threw a pick at the Denver 30-yard line. Brady wasted no time in reconnecting with Edelman on a 14-yard touchdown pass that gave the Pats a 28-24 lead. Patriot kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit a 31-yard field goal later in the quarter to put New England up by a touchdown.

Manning hadn’t scored a single point in the second half. But unwilling to accept defeat, he led his team on its first sustained drive of the half, which resulted in an 11-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas.

The epic battle would be decided in over time. Coach Belichick won the coin toss but opted to go against conventional thinking by electing to kick the ball knowing that a Denver touchdown would end the game. Why take the risk? The genius coach explained his thought process in the post game press conference. “The wind, it was a strong wind. We just had to keep them out of the end zone, obviously. I just felt like the wind would be an advantage if we could keep them out of the end zone on that first drive. We were able to do that. The wind was significant in the game, it was definitely significant.”

The two sides traded OT possessions, neither team could get a drive together to put up any points. Then with just minutes left to play, Wes Welker went back to receive a punt. New England fans began chanting, “Wel-ker, Wel-ker.” Maybe the derisive crowd got to him? Because instead of catching the ball, Welker called it off, and let it bounce. Unfortunately for the Broncos, the ball hit the unsuspecting Tony Carter who couldn’t get out of the way. He tried to explain what happened after the game, “I was blocking my guy to try to spring Wes for a return. I heard the ‘Peter’ call which means everyone get out of the way. I tried to get out of the way, but the ball bounced right into me. Tough bounce.”

The turnover put the Pats in field goal position. Gostkowski kicked the game winner with just 1:56 left to play. Interim Denver head coach Jack Del Rio knows the team needs to move on after the tough loss. “Regardless of how it goes down you’ve got to put it behind you quickly in this business. You learn your lesson and go forward.”

  • NFL Power Rankings: A New Team Rises To The Top

Every week in the NFL, a new team has a chance of being the top team in the nation, if the current number one is beaten of course.

This week, that happened when the Denver Broncos knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs, who were previously unbeaten under their new coach Andy Reid.

In a week that saw the league’s only unbeaten team lose, there were bound to be some changes in the top 10 especially, particularly with the Chiefs being dethroned from the top spot.

Peyton manning and the Denver Broncos continue to handle their opponents well, and with only one loss to Peyton Manning’s former team, they have been playing on an elevated level all season, and have their sights set on a Super Bowl appearance.

Some teams have stepped up, while others fell, as seems to be the case in most weeks. As the saying goes, on “any given Sunday, anything can happen.” In this week’s case, there was also an incredible game that was played out on Monday between the Panthers and the Patriots.

It featured a couple of excellent quarterbacks, and resulted in Cam Newton doing all that he could in order to prove that the Panthers have become a force to be reckoned with, including a win against the Patriots led by Tom Brady.

The week 12 NFL power rankings features the Broncos at the top, followed by several top teams that are all in the NFC. After the Broncos, fans will see Seahawks second, followed by the Saints and Panthers, who will soon be able to face off, and decide to will take No.1 in the NFC South division, where the Saints are currently leading by one game.

The Saints were dealt a big loss this week, when their star corner Jabar Greer suffered a leg injury that is likely to keep him out until next season.

The Ravens, who won the Super Bowl last year, also suffered another loss to the Chicago Bears following an evacuation of Solider Field, and the Ravens have now dropped to 13th.

This week’s NFL power rankings have certainly been shaken up, and mostly due to a couple of thrilling prime time games on Sunday and Monday. It is hard to know what next week will bring for fans, but there are some key match-ups too look out for.

The Broncos and Patriots will be facing off for the first time, and the Colts also play a rising threat in the Cardinals. With plenty more to look out for, fans better be sure to tune in to the NFL this Sunday. Keep an eye out for the Thursday game between the Saints and Falcons too.

  • Panthers Beat Patriots On Monday Night Football

In another great match-up between elite NFL quarterbacks, last night’s game proved to be a great one. The Carolina Panthers were host to the New England Patriots, in a tough battle the Carolina Panthers led to victory by their rising star in Cam Newton.

The game finally ended after an exciting second half, as Tom Brady drove the field in the final minute in a desperate attempt to win the game, but was not able to do it. The Panthers won with a final score of 24-20.

The first half started out somewhat slow in comparison, but the second half heated up with long possessions, and a perfect drive from both teams that combined to last the entire third quarter. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers had beaten the San Francisco 49ers in the previous week, and after this win, they will certainly be looked at it in a more positive light from fans and critics.

Cam Newton has been helping to lead the Panthers to victory all year, and silencing critics one at a time, as the Panthers have now become one of the top teams in the NFL.

The game was tied up going into the last couple minutes, with the Panthers having one last drive to tie or take the lead, and they were able to tie the game on a very effective play from Newton to Ted Ginn Jr., a 25 yard touchdown play with 59 seconds left in the game.

Speaking on the play that was made at the end, and the offensive production throughout the game, Newton said “The offense kept fighting to put points on the board. The way it happened was just spectacular.”

After the Panthers-Patriots game, the Panthers have improved to 7-3, and only trail the Saints in their division by one game, and have yet to play the Saints this season. Both quarterbacks were excellent during the game, and it was a sight to watch throughout. Cam Newton was 19 of 28, passing for 209 yards, while also rushing for 62, and Brady completed 29 of 40 passes for 296 yards.

The final play of the game was also a controversial one, and a play that resulted in a Patriots interception in the end-zone, which was originally called pass interference.

The Panthers beat the patriots in the final minutes, making a strong statement for the team, and a team that was above .500 earlier this year for the first time in five years. Next up, the Panthers have a bye, and then play the Buccaneers, a team that they beat 31-13 earlier this year.

  • Wes Welker Concussion Confirmed

    Wes Welker Concussion Confirmed

Wes Welker did everything right when he played for the Patriots. The five foot nine wide receiver only missed three games in six seasons. He also held the franchise record in receptions and ranked third in receiving yards. And even though he was Tom Brady’s go-to-guy, the sure-handed Welker and the New England Patriots, could not come to terms in the off season. The team let him walk.

Welker was not on the market long before the Denver Broncos signed him to a two-year $12 million contract. Since then, Tom Brady has had a hard time finding a guy he can trust to catch the ball, while Peyton Manning has used Welker out of the slot like the two have been playing together in the backyard their whole lives.

    (image)

Even though the Broncos are offensively charged with a plethora of weapons, Welker still leads the team with 61 receptions and is tied for the team lead with nine touchdowns. I’m sure Welker took a look at the NFL schedule when it came out and circled November 24th, that was the day that he would make his return to Gillette Stadium to face his old team, the one that let him go.

Now that reunion may not come to fruition. It’s been confirmed that Welker suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. After Welker took the hard hit to his head, he went to his knee. However, he returned for the next play, when he subsequently made a nine-yard catch. He left after that down and did not return to the field. The Broncos handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season in a 27 – 17 defeat.

Due to the NFL’s concussion rules, Welker will be a limited participant in practice this week. He will also have to pass all the concussion protocol tests before returning to the field.

  • Gisele Bündchen Buys Condo In NYC

Gisele Bündchen and her New England Patriots quarterback husband, Tom Brady, have purchased a condo in New York City’s One Madison Park glass tower for $14 million, according to Page Six.

A source recently spoke with Page Six about the sale.

“They went for the model apartment, which is a full-floor private residence with amazing city and river-to-river plus park views.”

The pair’s condominium will be on the 47th floor and contain three bedrooms. Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen is responsible for decorating the interior of the unit, which boasts to have an exquisite decor. The master bedroom will include his and hers closets as well as a double vanity in the master bathroom.

Gisele, who was rated the highest earning model of 2013 by Forbes with an income of $42 million, may have chosen the condo for the reportedly amazing scenic views with a supposedly nice shot of Madison Avenue. On the other hand, she may have been coaxed into taking the condo by her husband because he may have liked the beautiful view.

According to another source who spoke with Page Six, “It will allow Tom Brady to look down on Gotham like Batman.”

Gisele has been recognized for seven consecutive years as being a top-earning supermodel. For the most recent list, Gisele even made more than Tom Brady (her $42 million to his $38.3 million).

Thirty-three-year-old Gisele is involved in many projects, which keep her at the top of the high-earning list. She is involved with her cosmetics company, Sejaa, that prides itself on being environmentally-friendly. She also has part ownership in the footwear company, Grendane. Her endorsements are plenty including: Pantene, Oral-B and Sky HDTV. So, she should be able to afford the new property at One Madison Park glass tower.

  • Gisele Bundchen And Tom Brady Splurging On $14 Mil Apartment

Gisele Bundchen and her footballer husband, Tom Brady, are about to expand their property ownership with an apartment in the luxurious One Madison Park glass tower.

The couple already have a mansion in L.A. that they built themselves, and a home near Boston that’s currently being built. Their new home will be located on the 47th floor and will have breathtaking views of the city.

“They went for the model apartment, which is a full-floor private residence with amazing city and river-to-river plus park views,” a source said.

The building attracts big-name celebrities in the market for a new home, and it’s reported that Leonardo DiCaprio and designer Vera Wang have both taken tours of the apartments. That wasn’t always the case, however, as in 2007 the property was facing bankruptcy. It was saved from foreclosure by Related Companies.

The couple will reportedly enjoy white oak floors, his-and-hers closets, and double vanities in the master bath. Reportedly, the home they’re building near Boston boasts a basement spa (with a sauna, massage bed, and rehab tub), playroom, home theater, gym, library, sun room, and a room reserved for wine storage.

  • NFL Most Disliked Players List Led by Michael Vick

There are a lot of unlikeable characters playing today in the NFL. But according to a survey published yesterday on Forbes.com, Michael Vick is the most disliked man currently playing professional football.

Michael Vick served his time, 19 months, for being involved in a dog fighting ring. However, in a society that considers dogs not just household pets, but members of the family – it is unlikely that Vick will ever win back the affections of the greater public. It has been four years since his release from prison, and it’s obvious that some crimes will never be forgiven.

The scientific poll was conducted by the Marketing Research Company, E-Poll. It measured the public opinion of celebrities and athletes, alike, based upon a survey of 1,100 people. The qualifying age was 13 years old and up. Vick lead the way with 53% of those polled reporting that they disliked him. Although it should be noted that Vick is now likeable enough to endorse Nike products and football fans in general feel okay with him, as opposed to non-football fans.

There were some obvious choices on the list. Yes, the media-craze surrounding San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o last year put him on the list at second. The rest of the list seems to fall into place in terms of general public perception. The remaining top ten are: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (he plays dirty), Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (multiple sexual assault chargers), New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez (under performer, hated by Jets fans), Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler (he complains and scowls a lot), Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo (he plays for Dallas), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (a little, okay, a lot too perfect), Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (under performer/poor image) and Detroit Lions runningback Reggie Bush (he had to give back his Heisman Trophy and he gets injured a lot.)

Did the survey miss a player that you simply can not stand? Let us know in the comments section below.

  • New England Patriots Squeak By Falcons, In Atlanta

The New England Patriots have certainly struggled in the early part of the 2013 season, but they were able to pull out and win their game yesterday against the Atlanta Falcons. While the team is 4-0 after the win, they have had some real scares early this season, against the Jets and Bills especially. The streak continued and even though the Patriots held a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter, they let the Falcons come back, and had to hang out to their lead, only managing to win 30-23.

The Patriots are aging and struggling, but this win is a statement for the team and shows that they can still beat a strong team while playing on the road. Tom Brady was also able to keep his touchdown pass streak alive and has now completed at least one touchdown pass in his past 52 games, states CBS Boston. This puts him second in NFL history, but the main action of the day went to the running game. The team racked up 132 yards rushing, and surprisingly got their first rushing touchdown of the season in week 4.

With an undefeated record, the Patriots will look to continue their streak, but hopefully in a much cleaner and commanding way in weeks to come. Atlanta is a great team led by quarterback Matt Ryan who led them to the playoffs last year, but is struggling in the current season. After the loss to the Patriots, the Falcons are only 1-3, which puts them at third place in the division, ahead of only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have struggled greatly in recent years. Coach Bill Belichick is obviously frustrated with the way that his team has been ending their games this season and after the game he remarked, “We’ve got to do a better job of finishing out the game.”

The Falcons put up quite a comeback in this game, but it was not enough to beat the Patriots. Brady was unable to find the right rhythm with his receivers until this week, where he threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns, his best performance of the season, according to Sports Illustrated. Part of the problem with the Patriots has been with the loss of their tight end Rob Gronkowski and receiver Danny Amendola, both who have been injured since the beginning of the season. Next week, the Patriots will face off against the Cinncinati Bengals.
