  • Sarah Palin Discloses More About Her Husband’s Injuries Following Snowmobile Accident

Sarah Palin finally gave a few more details about exactly what injuries her husband, Todd, suffered after a shocking snowmobile accident over the past weekend.

Sarah Palin was flown home early from Donald Trump’s campaign trail when she heard the news.

Todd Palin is a professional snowmobile racer and this isn’t the first time he’s been injured in a snowmobile accident.

Back in 2008, he broke his arm in a high speed crash.

On Monday, Sarah Palin posted to Facebook in an effort to update those who were concerned about Todd’s health.

She wrote, in part, “Todd Palin is in intensive care at an Alaskan hospital with injuries including multiple broken and fractured ribs, broken shoulder blade, broken clavicle, knee/leg injuries; and a collapsed lung. He is presently back in surgery to repair multiple fractures.”

She added, “Thank you for your prayers for a speedy recovery. We, as his wife and children, appreciate your respect for our privacy during this time. Knowing Todd, once he’s cognizant, he’ll probably ask docs to duct tape him up and he’ll call it good. He’s tough.” [sic]

On Thursday, Sarah Palin updated Todd’s health status once again.

"A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything." – Irish Proverb 󾀼󾬔󾀼󾬔󾀼󾬔󾀼󾬔Thank you for lifting…

She wrote, in part, “A long surgery repaired numerous breaks in Todd’s upper body, docs essentially lifted and secured every rib with steel bands, anchored the broken clavicle with plates and rods, set aside repair of a broken shoulder for later (also later are more minor things like ACL/MCL knee injuries), still mechanically inflating one collapsed lung while other bruised lung, liver, etc., are watched; chest drain is working overtime to keep things clear.” [sic]

  • Sarah Palin Says Husband’s Snowmobile Injuries Have Put Things Into Perspective

Sarah Palin said this week that seeing her husband seriously injured in a snowmobile accident has “really put things into perspective”, but she didn’t clarify what that may mean for her time campaigning for Donald Trump.

Palin’s husband, Todd, broke eight ribs and injured his collarbone and lungs in the accident, which happened near their hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. He reportedly underwent surgery on Monday but is expected to make a full recovery. Sarah was in Florida at the time on the campaign trail, but flew home to be with her husband.

“Thank you, guys, for your prayers for my husband who is recovering right now in the ICU after a little wreck on a snowmachine…When real life happens it really puts things in perspective doesn’t it?” Sarah Palin said.

Sarah Palin was scheduled to speak at an event for Trump in Florida but was forced to cancel. The former vice presidential nominee has openly supported Trump since he announced his campaign, often showing up at rallies on his behalf.

“I am greatly honored to receive Sarah’s endorsement. She is a friend, and a high-quality person whom I have great respect for. I am proud to have her support,” Donald Trump told the New York Times.

Donald Trump has surprised many voters with his continued lead in the GOP race, but one writer says she believes she understands why that is, and predicts that the battle between Trump and Hillary Clinton will only escalate.

“It will be a war. Trump is popular because he is channeling the anxiety of those who are losing power — white men — to those who are gaining it — women and minorities— and he is willing to say anything that expresses that hate,” said Rebecca Traister, author of All The Single Ladies.

As for the Palins, they’ve asked for privacy while Todd recuperates, but have thanked fans for their support over the last few days. Bristol Palin shared a photo of Todd on Instagram, calling him the “toughest guy” she knows.

  • Sarah Palin’s Husband Todd Palin Seriously Injured in Snowmobile Crash

Sarah Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, was seriously injured in a snowmobile crash in Alaska this weekend, prompting the former governor to leave Florida, where she was stumping for Donald Trump, and hurry home.

Todd Palin sustained serious injuries to his collarbone and his lungs in what his father, Jim Palin, called “one of those freak accidents.”

Sarah Palin cancelled one of her appearances at a Donald Trump rally, scheduled in Tampa, Florida, but made a few remarks at another. While there, she thanked the audience for praying for Todd Palin. She then explained he was recovering, but in ICU.

Ted Cruz took to Twitter to say he and his family were praying for Sarah and Todd Palin.

It will be interesting to see, once Todd Palin is well on his road to recovery, if Sarah Palin heads back out on the road to campaign for Donald Trump again.

  • Bristol Palin Shares News of Death in the Family

Bristol Palin, who recently shared the exciting news of the birth of her baby girl, also shared some sad news with her social media followers.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Bristol shared word that her great-grandmother, Lena Andree, had passed away.

“5 generations under my beautiful great grandma Lena, rest in paradise ❤️ we love you GG,” she captioned a photo of herself, her great-grandmother, and other family members.

Bristol Palin’s great-grandmother was dad Todd Palin’s grandmother. A Yupik Eskimo elder, Lena Andree was 95.

Shortly before the announcement of her great-grandmother’s passing, Bristol Palin shared a sweet photo of youngest sibling Trig Palin holding his baby niece Sailor Grace.

“Trig officially loves her ?#mybrotherhasmorechromosomesthanyou,” she captioned the precious post.

Trig Palin was just a baby when mom Sarah Palin was John McCain’s VP running mate. He has Down syndrome.

Bristol Palin and her family have experienced a wealth of highs and lows in recent days. In addition to her great-grandmother’s death and the love shared between her little brother and her baby girl, Bristol’s brother Track Palin was arrested days ago in Wasilla, Alaska, for domestic violence. Sarah Palin recently endorsed Donald Trump for president.

Hopefully all quiets down in the Palin family so that Todd, Sarah, and Bristol Palin–as well as the rest of their family–can say their goodbyes to the family matriarch.

  • Sarah Palin: Daughter Bristol Palin Calls Off Memorial Weekend Wedding to Dakota Meyer

Sarah Palin: Daughter Bristol Palin Calls Off Memorial Weekend Wedding to Dakota Meyer

Sarah Palin won’t marry daughter Bristol Palin off on Memorial Weekend as planned. Bristol and fiance Dakota Meyer have reportedly called off their wedding.

Recent tabloid rumors claim Meyer married a woman named Cassandra Wain back in 2008, and that he’d hidden the prior marriage from Bristol Palin.

Todd and Sarah Palin’s daughter announced her engagement to Dakota Meyer back in March.

Bristol shared an Instagram post following word about the cancellation of this upcoming weekend’s nuptials.

She didn’t include a caption with her post.

Sarah Palin announced that the wedding was off in a Facebook post earlier on Monday. It includes the same picture Bristol Palin posted on Instagram, but with more (not too much more) of an explanation.

Bristol and Dakota couldn’t be more thankful for the love and support of family and friends over the past months while…

Posted by Sarah Palin on Monday, May 18, 2015

Sarah Palin included a short statement from Bristol.

“Regarding salacious headlines in recent days about ‘secret wives,’ Dakota and I discussed our past relationships prior to our engagement. Dakota was legally divorced years ago, as any good reporter could and should have disclosed to readers. As usual, false stories and dramatically written headlines begging controversy should be disregarded, and we have faith that our privacy will be respected at this time by those with decency.”

Dakota Meyer is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the War in Afghanistan. He is best known for having been awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Ganjgal back on September 8, 2009, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. He is the second youngest living Medal of Honor recipient, the third living recipient for either Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom–Afghanistan, and the first living Marine in 38 years to be honored in this way.

Do you expect there’s more behind Sarah Palin announcing the cancellation of Bristol’s wedding than the Palin family is ready to share with the media? And if so, are those tabloid rumors true?

  • Chris Kyle Gets High Praise from Todd Palin

Chris Kyle is a hot topic lately. Ever since the release of American Sniper, the Clint Eastwood-directed film about Chris Kyle’s life starring Bradley Cooper, Americans have been tossing out their opinions about the man and the film.

Chris Kyle was considered the deadliest sniper in United States history. Many consider him a patriot and a hero. Some have spoken disparagingly of the film that talks about Chris Kyle. Bill Maher, Michael Moore, and Noam Chomsky are among those who have derided the film.

Todd Palin, husband of failed VP candidate Sarah Palin, knew Chris Kyle. Chris Kyle worked for a while as Sarah Palin’s personal bodyguard. But he also worked with Todd on a celebrity program called Stars Earn Stripes. On the program, celebrities competed in military training competitions to raise funds for charities that help American troops.

Among the celebrities that trained for that program were Todd Palin, Olympic gold medalist Picabo Streets, Nick Lachey, Laila Ali, Terry Crews, Dean Cain, Dolvett Quince, and Eve Torres.

Recently, Todd Palin said of Chris Kyle.

“And then it was an honor for me and others to participate in Stars Earn Stripes with Chris and others in the military. You can have a conversation with somebody but until you’re side-by-side in the trenches with somebody, then you really know somebody. These guys, being a sniper, being out ahead of his unit and saving lives, Chris was just a good man, an expert in his field and he was one heck of a teacher.”

Palin also spoke about his own personal experience as the father of a military man.

“As father and mother, Sarah and I witnessed our son [Track] go through boot camp. It’s just an unbelievable process. You have an 18-year-old go down to boot camp and then you go down there a few months later when they graduate from boot camp and they’re just mentally strong, physically strong and have all the respect in the world for their drill sergeant because their drill sergeant is right next to you climbing up that mountain or running the five miles. But it just shows years of training, dedication and protecting freedom and liberty. That’s the motto of our military.”

  • Sarah Palin’s Family Allegedly Involved in Drunken Brawl at Local Party

It’s one of those times that the words “reportedly” and “allegedly” have to be used repeatedly. Stick with me and we’ll try to sort the reportable fact from the rumor. Then you can make your own decision.

According to the Anchorage Daily News, a news outlet that does not have a reputation for tabloid sensationalism, the Palin clan was in attendance at a party in Anchorage on Saturday.

Anchorage Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Castro wrote, “A preliminary investigation by police revealed that a party had been taking place at a nearby residence and a fight had broken out between multiple subjects outside of the residence. None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made at the scene. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party.”

The fight was characterized by police as a “verbal and physical altercation” in which about 20 people were involved. By most definitions, that would be called a “brawl”.

That’s what we know from the police.

The Anchorage Daily News also reports that a neighbor of the party’s hosts, one Charles Fryer, attended the party. He described the event as a joint birthday party for four people, including Todd Palin, Sarah Palin’s husband.

According to Fryer, as reported in the Anchorage Daily News, the fight occurred around 11 p.m., and was a dog pile “just like you see in a football game.”

Here is where the “allegedly” and “reportedly” stuff starts.

According to Alaska journalist and blogger Amanda Coyle, the details look more like … well, let’s just get it straight from Coyne.

“A nice, mellow party, until the Palin’s show up. There’s beer, of course, and maybe other things. Which is all fine, but just about the time when some people might have had one too many, a Track Palin stumbles out of a stretch Hummer, and immediately spots an ex-boyfriend of Willow’s. Track isn’t happy with this guy, the story goes. There’s words, and more. The owner of the house gets involved, and he probably wished he hadn’t. At this point, he’s up against nearly the whole Palin tribe: Palin women screaming. Palin men thumping their chests. Word is that Bristol has a particularly strong right hook, which she employed repeatedly, and it’s something to hear when Sarah screams, “Don’t you know who I am!” And it was particularly wonderful when someone in the crowd screamed back, “This isn’t some damned Hillbilly reality show!” No, it’s what happens when the former First Family of Alaska comes knocking. As people were leaving in a cab, Track was seen on the street, shirtless, flipping people off, with Sarah right behind him, and Todd somewhere in the foreground, tending to his bloody nose.”

Coyne has written two follow-ups to that gossip piece. In one she claims to have confirmation of the incident. In the other she has an eyewitness.

“I have confirmed from multiple sources that Bristol punched someone repeatedly, and that charges might be filed. I spoke to a source yesterday who witnessed part of it. She said that some in the crowd were trying to restrain Sarah, who was clawing to get involved in the fight, which had moved to the cul-de-sac outside of the house. She was also screaming loudly. She wore platform high-tops with the American flag on them, and Bristol wore big, round shades. As I reported, Track was at some point in the night, shirtless.”

On her Facebook page, Sarah Palin posted that she was “traveling” on Saturday, when the party took place.

According to the Anchorage Daily News, a commenter on Palin’s post, one Kimberley Vranckaert-Trujillo, claimed to have been a witness to the brawl.

“Interesting. … pretty sure you were not traveling and you and family were on the Southside causing chaos. Saw it happen. Don’t fib.”

Her comment has since been removed from the post.

So, there it is, folks. The facts and the rumors as they lie today, complete with Sarah Palin allegedly screaming “Do you know who I am?!” and someone reportedly responding, “This isn’t some damned Hillbilly reality show!”

As one commenter on Coyne’s blog said, “I’m sure that there just has to be video on someone’s phone somewhere. Fingers crossed that it comes to the surface soon.”
