Discovery CEO: We’re Trying To Create a Golf Netflix

In announcing a wide-ranging content deal with golf legend Tiger Woods, Discovery CEO David Zaslav says that what we’re trying to do is really create a golf Netflix. Discovery’s strategy is partnering with high profile personalities such as Tiger and Oprah and others to provide quality non-scripted programming globally. Zaslav says that they’re going to cede this whole idea of scripted, there are loads of people in that space and they’re fighting over it.

David Zaslav, Discovery president and CEO, discussed the companies “Netflix” strategy on CNBC’s Squawk Box (video below):

What We’re Trying To Do is Really Create a Golf Netflix

This is a wide-a wide-ranging partnership with the greatest golfer ever, Tiger Woods. He’s a transformational figure really. It’s a cherry on top of our golf strategy. We were in business with the PGA Tour everywhere in the world. We owned the tour globally with Jay Monahan and the PGA Tour, it’s a long-term partnership. What we’re trying to do is really create a golf Netflix, create an ecosystem where everyone in the world that loves golf can get everything they want on the phone and/or on EuroSport in Europe or on channels around the world.

It’s multifaceted and it fits our strategy. A couple of years ago we got into business with Oprah Winfrey, so we’re in business with Oprah globally. When we bought Scripps, food, HGTV, travel, people thought we bought linear channels but we bought IP. We owned food everywhere in the world, home everywhere in the world, travel everywhere in the world. We have natural history with Discovery.

We really took a big pivot four or five years ago where we went from a traditional nonfiction company to asking ourselves how do we create content that people would want if they could want anything and if they could see anything? It was a world that at that point people thought, why is Discovery getting into sports? Why they buy EuroSport? Why do they own all the cycling and all the tennis in Europe? Why did they do the Olympics?

We’re Going to Cede This Whole Idea of Scripted

We see golf, particularly with Tiger, tennis, cycling, the Olympics, food, home, and natural history. The rest of the media business is in scripted. Disney and Bob Iger, probably the best media company in the world when it comes to scripted and traditional storytelling. Tiger is really an important part of that strategy because people love golf everywhere in the world.

Think about China, two of the best players on the PGA Tour are from China. We own all the golf in China and they love Tiger. Two weeks ago we did a deal with Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper and Magnolia. Two fantastic authentic great personalities, they’re back in our family. So we’re going to cede this whole idea of scripted, there are loads of people in that space and they’re fighting over it.

For us, that’s kind of like the soccer ball on a kids game and we’re the rest of the field. If people love food content or golf I think we have a real chance. We hope that we’re where the ball is going to be. Who’s above the globe? The FANG companies, they’re so powerful because they’re above the globe. They could reach everywhere in the world. The only media company that’s truly above the globe that has IP rights everywhere in the world is Discovery.

We Need to Reach All of These 4 Billion Devices

We haven’t over-invested in content because we do believe that we need to reach these four billion devices and the best way to reach that is to have stuff that people really want. This business started with cable systems around the world, then it went to satellites. The companies that have created the most value for shareholders are the global companies, because of the leverage.

What we’re saying is we think that by owning all of this global IP we can partner up very effectively. We don’t need to sell, we can we can partner up with any one of them. We can do a natural history global business with Google or Apple. We can go into business with Oprah ourselves and we can together reach every regional player in the world.

Our Bet is That We’re Completely Different Than the Rest

People fall in love with great stories and with people. If you think about the media business and the rush to Netflix, HBO, Hulu, those are all great plays. Disney buying Rupert’s company and he’s gonna build a product that looks a lot like it. If you’re sitting at home, whether you’re young or old, and you want to spend ten to fifteen dollars and get scripted series and movies there’s going to be 10 choices for that, and the movies are starting to be commoditized with the same movies are on each platform.

If you want something else, if you want to see golf or if you want to see natural history, that’s our bet. Our bet is that we’re completely different than the rest of the guys and we have superfans that have an affinity for our stuff.  Our content costs about $400,000 to $500,000 an hour, scripted is anywhere from $5 million to $10 million, so it’s a lot more expensive and it’s getting even more expensive. We have a much more efficient model, so we could actually charge less (than Netflix).

In the US we have 18 channels, so we’re the second biggest TV company in America. When you look at our 18 channels the amount that we charge for those 18 channels is less than one regional sports network. So our costs are less but we can make a lot of money even if we charge less, so that’s one of the reasons why we’re on every skinny bundle. We have great channels but we’re also not that expensive.

  • Tiger Woods Says 2015 Took A Toll On His Body

Tiger Woods wrote a post recently on his website that reflects on the past year–notably, his issues with pain and getting his body to do what he wanted–and said he’s looking forward to getting back out on the course “pain-free”.

The golf icon said in the post that his goal is to get onto the Ryder Cup Team and that he doesn’t want to be on the sidelines.

“It was a tough year physically and took a toll on my body. I had to battle through a swing pattern change and get that organized, because it was awful at the beginning of the year. I didn’t play for the longest time because I was stuck,” Woods wrote.

Tiger Woods took to a course in North Carolina over the weekend, playing through with a rookie this time around. The once-champion player has had a tough go of it for the last couple of years, but experts say his game is looking up, even if he’s among strangers.

“I look on the Champions Tour leaderboard and I know every one of those guys because I played against them and I played with them. Now I come out here, I don’t really know a lot of people,” Woods said on Friday.

On his site, Woods also talked a bit about all the things that have changed since he first started playing on the PGA Tour, saying technology was only part of it; there’s also been a shift in the way players are treated.

“I think the biggest change on the PGA Tour from when I started playing is the level of focus on day-in and day-out fitness. Now, we have trainers and sports psychologists that travel with the guys.
Also the technology. When I beat Davis Love III in a playoff at the Las Vegas Invitational in 1996, he had a 43-inch persimmon head driver. The transition to metal to where we are now with 460 cc drivers and 45-inch shafts being the norm, and the ball going from wound to solid construction … the technology has changed dramatically,” Woods wrote.

For now, the athlete is focusing on bringing back his A-game and spending time with his family; he recently posted a sweet photo on Instagram of an afternoon with his kids and dog.

  • Lindsey Vonn Concedes She Still ‘Loves’ Tiger Woods, Despite Breakup

Lindsey Vonn says she still loves her famous ex, Tiger Woods, despite the very public breakup.

In an interview with CNN, the 31-year-old alpine ski champion said she has no regrets when it comes to the couple’s three-year relationship, which ended in May.

“I mean, I loved him and I still love him,” Vonn said. “I had an amazing three years with him but, you know, sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us. I don’t have any regrets and I think we’re both in a pretty good place.”

The world first learned that the pair had parted ways when Vonn hared news of the breakup through Facebook, writing at the time that she and the 39-year-old golf champion “will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together.”

She added, “unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart.”

Vonn told CNN that she’s not sure when she will enter into another relationship, and admitted that it’s “nice” to focus her time and energy on her career for now.

“I’ve realized that I only have, realistically, three good years of racing left,” she said, adding, “You never know what’s gonna happen.”

Despite reports that suggested the golfer had cheated on Vonn, a source told People magazine that infidelity wasn’t an issue.

“I know everyone is hoping for a cheating scandal, but it’s not,” a member of Woods’ camp told the magazine. “There was no real drama. This was just a relationship that didn’t last. It didn’t work out. They moved apart.”

  • Lindsey Vonn: “I Still Love” Tiger Woods

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods were known for three years as one of the sporting world’s power couples. That all ended earlier this year. In a recent interview with CNN, however, Lindsey Vonn admits to still loving Tiger Woods.

“I mean I loved him and I still love him,” she says.

“I had an amazing three years with him,” Lindsey Vonn admits. “Sometimes things just don’t work out and unfortunately it didn’t work out for us.”

It was at a charity event back in 2012 that Vonn and Woods first met. They finally shared their couple status via social media a few months later in March 2013.

Tiger Woods’ marriage to Elin Nordegren, with whom he shares two children, ended in 2010 following the revelation that Tiger had cheated on him with more women than she could count, and admitted to a purported sex addiction. It was rumored at the time of Woods’ split from Lindsey Vonn earlier in 2015 that he had reverted to his wicked ways. That was never proven, however.

These days Lindsey Vonn is focusing on herself, and has no immediate plans for seeking a new relationship.

“I’m enjoying just kind of focusing on myself right now,” she says. “I’ve realized that I only have three, maybe more, but realistically three good years of racing left.

“So it’s kind of nice to just focus on that and focus on my career. But I don’t know, you never know what’s going to happen,” she adds.

Lindsey Vonn says both she and Tiger Woods are in good places.

“But I don’t have any regrets and I think we’re both in a pretty good place,” she adds.

  • Lindsey Vonn Swears Off Men … For Now

Lindsey Vonn Swears Off Men … For Now

Lindsey Vonn, the US Olympic skiing champ and former Tiger Woods girlfriend, says she’s swearing off men for a while.

“I’m single, and I probably will be for a while,” she told Health magazine in its December issue, which hits newsstands on Friday.

“I think this is just a good time for me to focus on myself,” added the 31-year-old cover girl. “I’m not ready to have a family yet, but I will be at some point.”

Vonn and Woods for three years before breaking up in May.

“I think it’s just given me more time to spend on myself,” Vonn said of the breakup. “You really look at yourself and figure out what makes you happy, and you also have a lot more free time.”

Vonn said the primary reason for the hiatus from men is her desire to devote her time to training.

“I’ve been working really hard,” Vonn said. “I got a new nutritionist, and I’m just doing everything I can to be in shape for this season. And it’s paying off.”

Vonn added that people need to just chill when it comes to rumors about her love life.

“It’s almost comical because it’s not even my life,” the star athlete said. “Everyone assumes that it’s fact, and it’s not, so I just have to laugh. I mean, if you take all that stuff seriously, then you’ll drive yourself crazy.”

Vonn made headlines over the weekend when she shared a rather graphic photo of her right thumb that ytches after she tried to break up her two dogs as the fought over a frisbee.

“So the story is that my dogs got rowdy fighting over a dang Frisbee and I tried to break it up but got bit instead. Fun weekend,” Vonn tweeted on Saturday along with a photo of the injury.

“I just decided to do Jimmy Fallon for a belated Halloween outfit,” she later joked in a video posted to Instagram. “Nailed it! I win!”

What do you think about Lindsey Vonn’s decision to swear off men for the moment?

  • Tiger Woods: Former Caddie Steve Williams Claims Woods Treated Him Like Slave

Tiger Woods’ former caddie Steve Williams has written a tell-all about his time with the famous golfer, and sadly, not everything he has to say is good.

The New Zealand born Williams penned Out of the Rough as a way to remove himself from the bad behavior Tiger Woods exhibited while cheating on his then-wife Elin Nordegren. Williams said many people believed he was aware of what Tiger Woods was doing, when in fact, he wasn’t.

A New Zealand newspaper published an excerpt from the book this weekend.

“People in my local community would front up to me at the shops and call me a liar to my face, and ask ‘what are you doing with him?’” Williams wrote. “I repeatedly asked for Tiger’s management to release a statement that would clear me of any involvement in this lurid news.

“They simply wouldn’t do it because there were others in his group who knew exactly what was going on and management felt they couldn’t single out one person as innocent. Angry, frustrated and hung out to dry, I was also in limbo about when I would next work.”

Steve Williams claimed, despite Tiger Woods’ behavior, that he had a strong allegiance to the golfer.

“I felt incredibly loyal to Tiger–this was the toughest time of his life and I wasn’t going to ditch him,” he said.

Williams hoped that Tiger Woods would change his ways and prove to him that he was worthy of that friendship.

    Sadly, that never happened.

Steve Williams writes in the tell-all of something Tiger Woods did that strongly raised his ire.

He explained that Woods “would flippantly toss a club in the general direction of the bag, expecting me to go over and pick it up.”

“I felt uneasy about bending down to pick up his discarded club – it was like I was his slave,” he wrote. “The other thing that disgusted me was his habit of spitting at the hole if he missed a putt. Tiger listened to what I had to say, the air was cleared and we got on with it — his goal was to be the best player in history and my goal was to keep working as best I could to help make that happen.”

Do you think Tiger Woods is the same man Steve Williams writes about in his book? Is he still treating people poorly and carrying on a self-abusive life behind the scenes?

  • Lindsey Vonn Holds Head High, Laughs At Joel McHale’s Tiger Woods Joke in Light of Amanda Boyd Scandal

Lindsey Vonn held her head up high and laughed at a joke Joel McHale made at the ESPY Awards earlier this week. McHale joked about Tiger Woods, with whom Lindsey Vonn recently ended a relationship. Woods is rumored to have cheated on Lindsey Vonn with Amanda Boyd–the ex-wife of fellow pro-golfer Jason Dufner.

“Many are calling Jordan Spieth the new Tiger Woods,” McHale said of the 21-year-old golf sensation. “Which is great news for golf and terrible news for the future Mrs. Jordan Spieth.”

The camera then panned the audience–lighting on Lindsey Vonn–who made faux sad eyes and laughed along with the audience. The audience was at first unsure how to handle the joke, but seeing Lindsey Vonn’s reaction, erupted into full laughter instead of nervous laughter.

“Is uh, Lindsey behind me right now?” McHale asked as Lindsey Vonn shyly lowered her head in response to the laughter. “She wasn’t married to him! Is she mad?”

Lindsey Vonn looked sexier than ever at the ESPYs in a tight red dress.

Vonn and Tiger Woods announced their “mutual” split back in May. Many wonder if she got out while the getting was good, as Woods reportedly relapsed in the sex addiction area–allegedly the same way he did while married to Elin Nordegren. He was allegedly seeing Amanda Boyd for months prior to his split from Lindsey Vonn.

Did you catch Joel McHale’s joke about Tiger Woods at the ESPY Awards earlier this week? Do you think it was too soon for that kind of joke or was he spot-on with his timing?

And don’t you think Lindsey Vonn handled the situation like a champ? She is, of course, a champ on the slopes. Now she qualifies for a gold medal in social sort-of humiliation as well.

  • Lindsey Vonn Admits She Is Still In Contact With Ex Tiger Woods

Even though Lindsey Vonn and long-time boyfriend Tiger Woods have been broken up since May, the world-famous alpine ski racer admits she and ex are still exchanging text messages.

Vonn, 30, looked red hot at the 2015 ESPYS on Wednesday, July 15. She stunned the red carpet in a seriously sexy, scarlet, slit dress. In one of her photos during the event, she did her best Angelina Jolie pose.

The champion skier spoke to an ET red carpet correspondent and opened up about her current relationship with ex-boyfriend, golf legend, Tiger Woods.

“We have texted a little bit but I haven’t been in touch with him too much,” Vonn said. “He seems like he is doing well.”

Vonn also admitted that earlier this week, she got up early to watch Woods, 39, compete in the British Open and she helped him out in making the cut.

Vonn, when asked if she wants to see her ex play, answered.

“Yeah, I definitely want to. I hope he does well and I will be watching,” Vonn adds. “[His] last tournament was a little better so hopefully things go well for him this week.”

Unfortunately, things really did not go well for Woods despite his ex’s well wishes. He carded an opening round 4 over par yesterday. This was his worst score at the St. Andrew’s course in Scotland.

The Olympian dated Woods for three years after meeting at a charity event in 2012. This was his first significant and public relationship since his split from wife, whom he shares 2 kids with, Elin Nordegren.

In 2010, Nordegren divorced Woods after he admitted to cheating on her with several women. She received $110 million in the divorce settlement.

Reports say that the real reason of the Woods-Vonn split was that the controversial golfer was been caught cheating again.

  • Lindsey Vonn Shows Off Fabulous Figure After Breaking Up With Tiger Woods

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn looked more radiant than ever after her split with pro golfer Tiger Woods.

Vonn, who dated Woods for three years, confirmed the breakup on Facebook last May.

Claiming that the split was caused by their fierce work schedules, the Olympic gold medalist commented that they rarely spent time with each.

The famous skier further added that she will forever treasure the time she and Woods had together.

However, Daily Mail Online reported that the pair broke up due to Wood’s infidelity, who was rumored to have had a fling with Amanda Boyd.

Boyd was PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner’s ex-wife, the couple divorced in February due to complete incompatibility of temperament.

However, Vonn allegedly caught Woods cheating with Boyd a week before the divorce from Dufner.

Woods vehemently denied that his supposed two-timing caused the breakup.

Indeed, skier Vonn did not mention anything about Wood’s cheating in her social media post, signifying that the breakup was “mutual”.

According to Vonn, she and Woods broke up on good terms and they still kept in touch.

Nevertheless, the 30-year-old athlete seemed to have gotten over the split and has appeared at events flaunting her sporty curves.

Last Sunday, Vonn appeared at the British Formula One Grand Prix in a body-hugging, skimpy khaki dress, accentuating her toned arms and hot body. At the event, Vonn looked ready to get cosy with other sports figures including, F1 racer Lewis Hamilton, at the British Grand Prix.

In fact, photos of Vonn and Hamilton flirting with each other have since flooded the internet.

  • Lindsey Vonn Looking Sexier Than Ever Following Tiger Woods Split

Lindsey Vonn has been spending a good deal of time since her split from Tiger Woods concentrating on herself–and she looks sexier than ever as a result.

The American World Cup alpine ski racer is clearly doing much better than Tiger Woods is these days, too. While he is being accused of cheating on her with
Amanda Boyd–she is looking fabulous on the cover of CNET Magazine.

Lindsey Vonn spoke recently with Entertainment Tonight, and preferred to dish about her role as an athlete rather than her role as Tiger Woods’ ex.

“Hopefully in the future they can come up with something that will help me improve my training,” she told the publication.

It was via Facebook that Lindsey Vonn announced her split from Woods, and she did explain her reason for that decision.

“I think social media is a really good platform to be able to communicate with fans,” she said.

Lindsey Vonn just returned from London where she cheered on Lewis Hamilton as he won the 2015 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Just a day ago Lindsey Vonn cheered on Roger Federer at Wimbledon.

“Love this place! #GoFed #wimbledon,” she captioned an Instagram photo.

Yes, Lindsey Vonn appears not only sexy and fit, but also to be doing much better than Tiger Woods.

Kudos to the athlete and American beauty for holding her head and her standards so high.

  • Lindsey Vonn Talks Life After Tiger

Lindsey Vonn was out and about this past weekend and didn’t seem to be too heartbroken anymore over her breakup with Tiger Woods.

On Saturday and Monday, Lindsey Vonn was at Wimbledon in England cheering on her two friends, Caroline Wozniacki and Roger Federer, as they played tennis.

In an interview for USA Today Sports, Lindsey Vonn revealed what she loves about the game and why she likes to watch it.

When asked what makes it so special, she said, “I love it. It’s one of my favorite sporting events to go to. It’s the whole experience and the atmosphere. It’s different. It’s very classic and elegant. You have your strawberries and cream and watch Roger [Federer] … I don’t know, it’s pretty perfect.”

Lindsey Vonn also talked about her friendship with Caroline Wozniacki.

She said, “I met her before on the golf tour. We text a lot. This is the first time that I’ve actually been able to watch her because I haven’t been at any tournaments since I got injured.”

Lindsey Vonn explained a bond that all women in sports share.

She said, “Females in sports, we have a lot in common. It’s nice to have a friend that understands the difficulties of being in the spotlight and training hard and competing.”

And of course, she was asked about Tiger Woods and that whole ordeal.

If you’ve been under a rock, Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods broke up after nearly three years. Many assumed that Tiger had been cheating since, you know, he has a history.

In particular, rumors suggested he had an affair with the ex-wife of a fellow pro golfer, Amanda Boyd.

However, he and Lindsey have both denied those allegations.

In fact, in a statement to Golfweek, Tiger’s agent said, “I couldn’t deny this more vehemently. There is less than zero strand of truth to it. They are not even acquaintances.”

That all seems to be behind Lindsey Vonn now. When asked how she was doing, she said, “I’m doing really well. I’m feeling good. I have a good support system around me and we ended on good terms. It just didn’t work. That happens: Two adults, sometimes, it just doesn’t work. But yes, we do (keep in touch).”

What do you think? Are you glad Lindsey Vonn is moving on after her breakup?

  • Lindsey Vonn Embraces Single Life Away From Tiger Woods By Flaunting Hot Body, Sexy Legs

Lindsey Vonn is clearly moving on from Tiger Woods and embracing single life.

After a much-publicized split from Tiger Woods last month, Lindsey Vonn was all va-va-voom at the Formula One Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday, flaunting her sexy legs in a form-fitting dress that turned heads.

The 30-year-old skiing champion looked absolutely stunning in her ever-so-shot dress that clung to her toned thighs and thin waistline.

Lindsey Vonn’s envious legs were accentuated by a simple pair of suede boots.

The only accessories needed for the ensemble were her blond loose locks cascading over her shoulder and minimal makeup.

With that much awesomeness to look at, who noticed that Lewis Hamilton won the British title for the third time?

Since the breakup from Tiger Woods back in early May, Vonn has not holed up in misery. Instead she has been out and about looking fine.

Lindsey Vonn’s appearance comes on the heels of Woods adamantly denying his relationship with the famed ski racer ended over an affair with Amanda Boyd, 27, the ex-wife of another professional golfer, Jason Dufner.

What do you think of Lindsey Vonn’s look for Sunday’s Formula One Grand Prix of Great Britain?

  • Amanda Boyd: Lindsey Vonn Allegedly Caught Her With Tiger Woods

Is Amanda Boyd the woman with whom Tiger Woods cheated on Lindsey Vonn? Woods’ agent says there is no truth to the rumor.

Now a new report claims Lindsey Vonn actually caught the two of them together.

“Even though Tiger dated Lindsey for years, he had a ‘thing’ for Amanda,” a source reportedly told the National Enquirer of Amanda Boyd. “At first, it was just innocent flirting but, earlier this year, it became serious.”

It’s always important to take some of what the Enquirer says with a grain of salt, however.

“Amanda is gorgeous and she’s known as a big flirt with the other players on the PGA Tour,” another source said. “I guess her flirty ways and good looks caught Tiger’s eye.”

The tabloid reports that Amanda Boyd and Tiger Woods dated for months before Lindsey Vonn and the golfer called it quits.

Maybe Amanda Boyd isn’t good for Tiger Woods, given his drop in the PGA rankings. Formerly the best in the world, he is now rated at number 220.

Amanda Boyd only recently split from her husband, who is also a pro golfer. Her divorce from Jason Dufner was final this past March–after she and Tiger Woods allegedly started dating.

If Lindsey Vonn did, in fact, catch Amanda Boyd with Tiger Woods, then their split makes perfect sense. Why was she so kind in her announcement of said split, however?

Some think she was trying to help Tiger save face. The alleged “sex addict” cheated on wife Elin Nordegren with several women.

Do you think he cheated on Lindsey Vonn with more than just Amanda Boyd?

  • Lindsey Vonn: Tiger Woods’ Agent Says He Didn’t Cheat On Her With Amanda Boyd

Lindsey Vonn is unwittingly in the middle of a cheating scandal. She and Tiger Woods broke things off back in May, but now that word of him cheating on Vonn with Amanda Boyd has made news, she’s thrust into the center of a media frenzy.

During an interview with Page Six, Tiger Woods’ agent says the golfer didn’t cheat on Lindsey Vonn with, nor is he dating Amanda Boyd.

“This is 100 percent false,” Mark Steinberg said. “Absolutely zero truth to the rumor.”

Steinberg also spoke to Golfweek about the allegations Tiger Woods cheated on Lindsey Vonn with Amanda Boyd.

“I couldn’t deny this more vehemently,” he said. “There is less than zero strand of truth to it. They are not even acquaintances.”

When Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn split up, she issued a statement on her Facebook page.

“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart,” it read.

Sources say the reason for the split–despite Lindsey Vonn’s friendly statement–was a “faceless, nameless woman.”

Some think Lindsey Vonn was covering for the fact that Tiger Woods had slipped back into his cheating ways, like when he was married to Elin Nordegren.

Lindsey Vonn hasn’t made a statement to the press regarding the Amanda Boyd cheating scandal, and it’s unlikely she will. With her career and her own media presence to be concerned with, it’s likely she’ll avoid saying anything at all pertaining to Tiger Woods.

  • Amanda Boyd Spotted in Photo With Lindsey Vonn, Was Tiger Woods Cheating on Vonn Right Under Her Nose?

Amanda Boyd was spotted in the same photo with Lindsey Vonn by an online publication, leading some to wonder if Tiger Woods was brazen enough to cheat on Vonn with Amanda Boyd right under her nose.

According to the date accompanying that photo, that wasn’t likely the case. The Daily Mail shared a photo recently, showing the two women together, but it was back in 2013. That certainly doesn’t get Tiger off the hook, however.

When Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn split up, she shared a statement on Facebook.

Another source cited a “faceless-nameless woman” as the reason the two split, noting that Tiger was once again cheating. It sounds like that woman was Amanda Boyd.

“He had a relapse in the sex department,” the source told Daily Mail. “Lindsey found out about women again. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin.”

When Tiger Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren split, Tiger was called a “sex addict.” Do you think there really is such a thing–or does it in some way simply excuse the golfer’s actions? Will he use this excuse for his dalliances with Amanda Boyd?

Fortunately for Lindsey Vonn, she got out while the getting was still good. It was harder for Elin, who was not just married to Woods, but the mother of his two children.

Do you expect Amanda Boyd and Tiger Woods are still seeing one another in secret? Since a rep for Woods has denied the rumors, they’ll surely lay low for a while.

  • Lindsey Vonn: Woods’ Agent Says Amanda Boyd Is Definitely NOT The Reason Tiger And Vonn Split

Lindsey Vonn’s relationship with Tiger Woods lasted way longer than many people thought it would.

However, when Lindsey Vonn announced that they were breaking up in May, rumors circulated that perhaps the relationship’s end was because of Tiger’s predicted behavior with the ladies.

Amanda Boyd, in particular. She is the attractive ex-wife of fellow pro golfer, Jason Dufner.

Lindsey Vonn posted the announcement to her Facebook page.

In it, Lindsey Vonn stated, “After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together.”

She went on, “Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.

Lindsey Vonn’s statement just doesn’t have that ring of resentment that it likely would have if she had caught him cheating on her.

And, Tiger Woods’ agent has cleared the air regarding any presumptions.

Mark Steinberg emailed Page Six a statement on the rumor that Lindsey Vonn caught Tiger cheating, saying, “This is 100 percent false. Absolutely zero truth to the rumor.”

Steinberg also told Golfweek, “I couldn’t deny this more vehemently. There is less than zero strand of truth to it. 100 percent false. 100 percent fabricated and zero credence. Absolutely, unequivocally untrue. They are not even acquaintances. It’s absolutely ridiculous.”

I don’t know. It’s not “absolutely ridiculous.” I mean, Tiger did build himself quite the history.

What do you think? Do you think Lindsey Vonn’s relationship with Tiger ended over Amanda Boyd or simply a busy schedule?

  • Tiger Woods Shoots Best Game In Months After Sex Scandal Emerges

Tiger Woods is having a fairly divided week.

The golf star is at the center of a scandal after it was reported that he had an affair with Amanda Boyd–ex-wife of fellow golfer Jason Dufner–while he was still in a relationship with Lindsey Vonn, but the rumors haven’t stopped him from shooting his best game in months at the Greenbrier Classic on Thursday.

Woods ended up in second place with a 4-under-par 66 after having a not-so-great year on the course, something that hasn’t escaped the attention of those who wondered whether he’d lost his–pardon the pun–drive. Tiger says he feels like he’s getting back to his old self, no matter what everyone else thinks.

“People think I’m crazy when I say I’m close but I felt like I was close. This past week was a good week of practice and today I hit the ball well all day until a couple of tee shots at the end, tugged a couple,” Woods told PGATour.com.

Tiger is accused of having a torrid affair with Amanda Boyd while he was still with Olympic athlete Lindsey Vonn, and the news made headlines earlier this week due to the fact that Woods and Vonn were friendly with Boyd and her ex, Jason Dufner. Photos have surfaced online of Vonn and Boyd on the sidelines of the course, supporting their significant others together during happier times, but Vonn has not commented on the allegations. Tiger Woods released a statement through his rep vehemently denying that he cheated on Vonn, but sources have told several media outlets that he and Boyd are currently in a relationship and that things are serious. Vonn, meanwhile, posted a photo in the midst of it all showing an airport scene with the caption, “Excited for a fun weekend!”

  • Amanda Boyd: Tiger Woods Denies Cheating on Lindsey Vonn With Her

Amanda Boyd is allegedly the woman with whom Tiger Woods cheated on Lindsey Vonn. Woods and Vonn broke up earlier this year after she caught him cheating–fueling speculation that Tiger was once again in his womanizing mode–a throwback to his last days with Elin Nordegren.

Tiger Woods via his agent says the cheating rumors about him and Amanda Boyd, however, aren’t true.

“This is 100 percent false,” Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg said in an interview with Page Six. “Absolutely zero truth to the rumor.”

Amanda Boyd is a fellow pro golfer’s ex-wife. A tabloid released a report on Wednesday saying Tiger Woods was involved with Boyd for months. Amanda Boyd and husband 2013 PGA Champion Jason Dufner only separated in February 2015. Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn announced their split in May.

“I couldn’t deny this more vehemently,” Steinberg said in a statement to Golfweek. “There is less than zero strand of truth to it. They are not even acquaintances.”

RadarOnline says there is truth to these rumors, however. They claim Tiger Woods flew Amanda Boyd out to Seattle from Alabama to spend time with him there as he prepared for the U.S. Open. They report that the two have been seeing each other for several months.

If that’s the case, then Tiger Woods definitely cheated on Lindsey Vonn and he did so with Amanda Boyd. Do you suppose there were other women involved as well? Has he resorted to his ‘sex addict’ ways that cost him his marriage to Elin Nordegren?

  • Amanda Boyd: Photos Surface Of Her Friendship With Lindsey Vonn

Amanda Boyd, the ex-wife of golf pro Jason Dufner, is at the center of an alleged sex scandal this week after news broke that she had an affair with Tiger Woods. Now, a source claims that their tryst was ignited after Tiger skipped his therapy sessions, and that’s why Lindsey Vonn ended things with him.

According to the Daily Mail, Vonn’s explanation for the breakup–that they lead hectic professional lives that kept them from spending time together–was crafted to keep his indiscretions out of the media. Woods and his relationships have been pretty public since he divorced wife Elin Nordegren in 2009 amid allegations of cheating, and eventually it was revealed that he had been with at least a dozen other women. When Woods began dating Vonn, fans held out hope that the couple would work through his issues together and eventually marry, but the happy ending never came.

Rumors of Tiger’s infidelity have actually been swirling online since earlier this year, when a source told the Daily Mail that it was indeed the reason for their breakup. At the time, Amanda Boyd’s name wasn’t mentioned.

“He had a relapse in the sex department. Lindsey found out about women again. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin,” the source said.

Vonn released a statement via Facebook when the couple parted ways, saying she admires and respects Tiger Woods.

“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart,” Vonn wrote.

As for Amanda Boyd, she and Tiger have reportedly been dating for months after a serious flirtation on the tour circuit. While Woods has vehemently denied the allegations via his rep, photos have surfaced online showing Boyd hanging out with Lindsey Vonn on the course, along with sources who say Amanda was well-known to be a flirt during the tour. However, Amanda Boyd’s Instagram account appears to have been deleted.

  • Lindsey Vonn: Tiger’s Agent Says Amanda Boyd Rumor Is “100 Percent False”

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods broke off their relationship after two long years back in May.

I mean, no one really expected Tiger and Lindsey Vonn to last after Tiger’s history with the ladies. Especially for amounts of time measured in years.

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods cited busy schedules as the reason for their breakup, but some obviously speculated that it was Tiger Woods’ “busy schedule” and his rotating female companions that likely did them in.

One in particular, Amanda Boyd, had some time in the spotlight of speculation. Amanda Boyd is the ex-wife of fellow pro golfer Jason Dufner. Reports from the likes of the National Enquirer spouted rumors of an affair that ended Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods’ relationship after the attractive brunette and her husband filed for divorce in April.

A source for the National Enquirer said, “They’ve been having a steamy affair for several months. When Lindsey found out about their affair in the early spring, she hit the roof and kicked Tiger to the curb!”

However, Tiger Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, vehemently denied the rumors to multiple outlets.

For instance, in an email to the New York Post, he said, “This is 100 percent false. Absolutely zero truth to the rumor.”

He drove the point home when speaking to Golfweek, saying, “I couldn’t deny this more vehemently. There is less than zero strand of truth to it. 100 percent false. 100 percent fabricated and zero credence. Absolutely, unequivocally untrue. They are not even acquaintances. It’s absolutely ridiculous.”

What do you think about the rumors surrounding the end of Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn’s relationship?
