  • “Criminal Minds” to Welcome “Parks and Recreation’s” Aubrey Plaza as Guest Star

Criminal Minds will air a familiar face next month when it welcomes former Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza as a guest star on the show. Instead of the quirky, completely harmless April Ludgate, however, Plaza will play the evil Cat Adams on Criminal Minds.

Cat Adams is Dr. Spencer Reid’s date in a January episode of Criminal Minds, and she reportedly “pulls out a gun before the main course.” Matthew Gray Gubler stars as Spencer Reid.

Plaza’s character claims she knows all about Reid, as well as his work at the BAU. His skills will no doubt be put to the test as he tries to save not only himself, but a restaurant full of unsuspecting victims, too.

There’s lots of intrigue in Aubrey Plaza’s role in this Criminal Minds episode. First off, Dr. Reid and a date–that alone is an episode in itself. Add to that a rather psychotic Aubrey Plaza, and there will no doubt be lots to love–if you love bone-chilling crime–in this episode.

In addition to Matthew Gray Gubler, Criminal Minds stars Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, A.J. Cook, and Kirsten Vangsness.

Aubrey Plaza guests stars on Criminal Minds on January 13. Will you tune in to CBS to watch?

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt to Join ‘Criminal Minds’ in the Fall

Jennifer Love Hewitt will trade in her “working girl” attire for a badge come this fall.

The Client List actress, who played a masseuse-turned-prostitute in the failed series, will join the Behavioral Analysis Unit of Criminal Minds, as an undercover FBI agent, CBS announced Tuesday.

Hewitt will play Kate Callahan, a “seasoned undercover agent whose stellar work at the FBI has landed her a coveted position with the Behavioral Analysis Unit.”

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast,” said executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer. “Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season.”

Hewitt joins other cast members Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook and Kirsten Vangsness in the series’ 10th season premiere on Oct. 10.

Hewitt is returning to CBS, the network that was home to her last network series, Ghost Whisperer, which ran for five seasons on the network before ending in 2010.

This role could be quite a departure from what we’ve seen from the actress thus far. While a few of her roles have had some criminal element to it, this will be the first time we’ll see the actress in as a “seasoned” undercover agent, in other words edgy.

The actress gave birth to her first child, daughter Autumn James Hallisay, just weeks after the cancelation of The Client List.

Hewitt’s other acting credits include Party of Five and the horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer.

  • Paget Brewster Returns for 200th ‘Criminal Minds’

Paget Brewster Returns for 200th ‘Criminal Minds’

Paget Brewster quickly replied, “Yes!” when asked by the show’s executive producer, Erica Messer, if she would return for the 200th episode of Criminal Minds.

“I said yes right away — no question,” Brewster said during a recent interview with TV Guide. “Erica called me directly before talking to any agent or executive or anything. She just called me up and said, ‘Hey, we want to have people come back for the 200th.’ I said, ‘Absolutely. Whatever you want. I’m game. I’d love to.’ I was really flattered that they asked me. There was nothing to think about.”

“I knew I wanted Paget to come back for this,” Erica Messer adds. “She was such a huge part of the show. I know the fans are very excited, and the 200th is about celebrating our fans and our family.”

The 200th episode of Criminal Minds airs Wednesday evening, February 5th on CBS at 9 PM. Hotch (played by the very handsome Thomas Gibson) will reportedly call Prentiss (Brewster’s Criminal Minds character) at her office in London and ask for her help as the BAU works to find JJ (played by A.J. Cook) who is presently undergoing torture at the hands of kidnappers.

This will be Paget Brewster’s first appearance on Criminal Minds since she left the show back in 2012.

“It was bittersweet coming back [this time],” Brewster says of filming the 200th episode. “I do miss those guys and it was great to just see them again. We have the same jokes with the crew and ways of working. The moment I got there, it felt like I never left. And then part of me is like, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t have!’”

Even Twitter is helping spread the word about the Criminal Minds 200th show on Wednesday night, and Paget Brewster’s special appearance on the show.

Might Paget Brewster’s appearance on Criminal Minds on Wednesday possibly open the door for a return? Would you like to see Prentiss back on the show?

Be sure to tune in Wednesday night at 9:00 for the 200th episode.

  • Thomas Gibson “Catfish” Video Released

    Thomas Gibson “Catfish” Video Released

Thomas Gibson, former star of “Dharma And Greg” and current star of “Criminal Minds”, has reportedly been busted in a “Catfish” type relationship with someone he made a steamy hot tub video for.

Gibson, who is married, had reportedly been having an online relationship with the woman for two years. Her identity hasn’t been released, but according to TMZ, she’s a woman from North Dakota who sent Gibson photos that she’d taken from porn sites claiming to be of her and told him she was a big fan; that was all it took for Gibson, who became involved in an online relationship with her until he found out the photos were fake; she says his lawyers sent her letters telling her to back off, and she hasn’t heard from him since. She did give TMZ this video that Gibson shot of himself in a hot tub, however.

Gibson allegedly tweeted a response to a fan who called him out on his actions, calling the story a “spliced bunch of lies” and “no one’s business”, but it appears his account has been deleted.

The art of “catfishing”–or having a false online identity–became famous when the movie “Catfish” was released in 2010 and took viewers behind the scenes of a man unraveling the sordid tales his online girlfriend had told him. It has since spawned a television show.
