  • Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Welcome Baby Girl–in August

Adam Brody, best known for his role on The O.C., and wife Leighton Meester welcomed their first child–a baby girl–into their world back in early August. The Gossip Girl alum and her daughter are both thriving following the birth more than a month ago.

Going against the grain of celebrity traditions in L.A., Adam Brody and Leighton Meester didn’t have their baby at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. TMZ just recently got access to the baby’s birth certificate, and announced that the couple has named their daughter Arlo Day Brody.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester tied the knot back in February 2014, during a secret ceremony. Given their silence about their wedding, it’s not surprising they hid their baby’s birth from the media, too. In fact, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody chose a hospital that was around 30 miles away from Cedars-Sinai.

The new mom was last spotted back in July near Sherman Oaks, where she boasted a very large baby bump.

Prior to their daughter’s birth, Adam Brody joked about the number of children they planned in having.

“I say 12,” he said. “And I decide.”

In the meantime, congrats are no doubt coming in from fans from all over on the birth of their baby girl.

Best wishes to Adam Brody and Leighton Meester on their first foray into parenthood–and those 2:00 a.m. feedings.

  • Leighton Meester: ‘Gossip Girl’ Star and Husband Adam Brody Expecting Their First Baby

Leighton Meester, best known for her role as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, is expecting her first baby. She and hubby Adam Brody are over the moon.

Us Weekly reports that Meester was spotted out and about in L.A., a couple of days ahead of their pregnancy announcement. Her baby bump was front and center, however, with absolutely no mistaking that she’s expecting.

It was Monday when the publication confirmed Leighton Meester and Adam Brody’s official news. The couple met back in 2011, on the set of The Oranges. They married in a secret ceremony–so secret that some of their former costars weren’t even invited–in February of 2014.

“I did not go to his wedding. I think they wanted to kind of keep it super low-profile, so I did not take umbrage,” The O.C.’s Ben McKenzie said in an interview at the time. “His wife is awesome. Leighton’s great.”

In addition to acting, Leighton Meester has quite the set of vocal cords. The actress has both written and recorded music in the past few years–even singing with Tony Bennett in an episode of Entourage. She made her Broadway debut in 2014 alongside James Franco, starring in Of Mice and Men.

In addition to the titles of actress, singer, and wife, Leighton Meester will soon be able to add ‘mother’ to her repertoire of talents.

Last August, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody joked about how many kids they planned to have.

I say twelve,” he quipped. “And I decide.”

Perhaps this pregnancy will wind up being just one of many for Leighton Meester?

  • Rachel Bilson and O.C. Co-Star Autumn Reeser Reunite on ‘Hart of Dixie’ Season (and Series) Finale

Rachel Bilson and Autumn Reeser, who once starred together on The O.C., were reunited on Hart of Dixie‘s fourth season finale on Friday, Mar. 27.

Autumn Reeser guest-starred as Olivia Green, the new lawyer in town that takes over for George Tucker, played by Scott Porter. Reeser’s character has a connection with Dr. Zoe Hart (Bilson) because they both come from the big city and struggle to adjust to the quieter life of small-town Alabama.

In September, Reeser posted a sweet WhoSay photo of the costars reuniting.

“Love this girl, such a pleasure to work w/ her again!!” she captioned. “A mini #OC reunion on the finale ep of @CWHartofDixie.”

Rachel Bilson played Summer Roberts and Autumn Reeser played Taylor Townsend on the Josh Schwartz-created drama The O.C., which ran for four seasons from 2003-2007 and also starred Adam Brody, Peter Gallagher, Kelly Rowan, Mischa Barton, Melinda Clarke, Tate Donovan, and Chris Carmack.

Unfortunately, it was a bittersweet reunion and it turns out it was not only the season finale, it was also the series finale as the decision to cancel the series came on March 15.

Series co-star Scott Porter alerted fans to the sad news of the cancellation last week

“Folks wondering why #HartOfDixie got canned? Simple numbers game folks. Ratings still matter and dictate wins and losses. You have to WATCH,” he wrote.

  • Mischa Barton’s Home In Foreclosure, Career In Decline

Once a bright, young star on one of the hottest TV series of the 2000s, actor Mischa Barton has seen a big decline in her career. The 28-year-old former star of The O.C. is now facing impending foreclosure of her Beverly Hills villa, which she bought in 2005 at the height of her show’s fame. Barton purchased her home during the real estate bubble for $6.4 million, taking out a loan of $4.2 million to pay for it. However, according to property records obtained by Today and People, she is now more than five months and $100,000 behind on payments.

Reportedly worth $8 million today, Barton’s Spanish-style home measures 7,607 square feet and has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a guest house measuring 3,000 square feet. Barton had supposedly been trying to sell the house but failed, now she has defaulted on her mortgage.

Barton played the lead character Marissa Cooper on The O.C. but left in 2006 to pursue a film career, which did not pick up. She has since appeared on TV series The Beautiful Life: TBL and Law and Order: SVU, but earned a notorious reputation for her decadent social life, erratic behavior and drunk driving. In 2009, she was committed to involuntary psychiatric hold for passing out while under the influence of a sedative. She currently models for e-cigarette company VAPESTICK.

People may think that she’d love to have the success of The O.C. back, but Barton said she probably would not do the show again if given the chance. “It’s something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say, be grateful for what you have, but it certainly [was] not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be…I’ve kind of seen it all,” she said.

  • Leighton Meester And Adam Brody Were Married Weeks Ago In Secret Wedding

It is not often that a couple of celebrities decide to go off and have a secret wedding since most of them choose to make it into a lavish affair, inviting tons of other celebrities, and making a spectacle of it.

However, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody did just that, and were able to keep their wedding a secret for weeks, until yesterday, when the big news was finally revealed. Meester and Brody are both former stars of two hit teen drama television shows.

Following the recent reveal of their marriage, an interview surfaced in which Leighton Meester said that as recently as 2012, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to get married. As a couple, they continue to avoid the spotlight, and of course, the media has gone crazy with rumors as a result.

Those who watched the two on their respective former shows may be a little annoyed at the fact that the two are together, and certainly showed it over social media at the time of their engagement. Sometimes people can get such an attachment to certain characters that they want them to be together forever, and seeing that actor linked to someone else can still touch a nerve with some fans.

Adam Brody was a star on The O.C., while Leighton Meester became known through her role on Gossip Girl. In additon to her role as Blair Waldors on Gossip Girl, she has appeared in several television shows including a handful of episodes on big shows such as Entourage, 24, and House M.D.

Even before their secret wedding, the couple had worked hard to keep their relationship private. Before the announcement of their engagement, they had tried to keep quiet, but it was confirmed that they were dating when someone spotted them having dinner together, and Adam Brody was seen putting his arm around Leighton Meester.

Before beginning a romantic relationship together, the couple had met on the set of the 2011 film The Oranges, a film which they were the stars of. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are both set to appear in the upcoming film Life Partners.

This is the first marriage for both Brody and Meester. Adam Brody had previously been in a relationship with Rachel Bilson, his co-star on The O.C., and the hearts of teens everywhere were crushed when they split in 2006, a year before the teen drama ended.

It’s been nothing but smiles and bliss for the couple since a source recently reveled to E! News that the two have become engaged.

The couple first met while working on the film, romantic comedy, The Oranges. The charming couple has only been together for less than a year, but that just goes to show that when it’s true love, there’s no true time frame to follow.

Apparently the actor and actress couldn’t part ways after the rom com wrapped.

According to Wonderwall, the happy couple celebrated the engagement news at an intimate party with friends and family in L.A on Nov 10.

But this low-key couple that manages to stay out of the celeb spotlight has yet to confirm the engagement.

  • Mischa Barton Breaks Silence About Her Breakdown

Mischa Barton recently spoke for the first time about the issues she suffered after becoming an overnight star on “The O.C.”, and said she felt that no matter what she did, the media would scrutinize her.

Barton was just 17 when the Fox show became a hit, and her star immediately began to rise. Soon, she found herself a Hollywood “It” girl; invited to the best parties and clubs, hanging out with other celebrities, and enjoying long nights that included some hard partying. It’s a tale told many times in Hollywood; unfortunately, it can be a town that eats young stars and spits them out. Barton said she was just living it up, without thought to the consequences.

“We thought, ‘Work hard, play hard,’” she said.

Even after a DUI arrest in 2007, she still couldn’t change her ways. By 2009, her parents were ready to stage an intervention. That same year, the young actress suffered ill effects after taking a sedative and eventually landed in a psych ward after threatening to kill herself.

“It was terrifying,” Barton said. “Straight out of ‘Girl, Interrupted.’ Story of my life…I was never suicidal. I was just overworked and depressed. But one slip of the tongue in a heightened moment and you find yourself in that situation.”

Even after she managed to pull her life together and get healthy, she says, the media wasn’t happy with her looks.

“It was a full-on breakdown,” she said. “I was under enormous pressure…It was always, ‘She’s too skinny, she must be sick,’ Then it was, ‘She’s too big.’ I was never the right weight.”

Now, Barton says she’s a stronger person and has learned to focus on the positives in her life, which include getting back into acting and opening her own boutique in London.
