  • Fran Drescher Marries Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai

Fran Drescher, star of The Nanny, married her longtime boyfriend, Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, at their beach-front home on Sunday afternoon.

Fran and Shiva have been dating for a little over a year and Shiva was happy to share the story of how they met.

“I was speaking on sages and scientists—in fact, talking about innovation and the fact that we need to more universally look at the models of innovation,” Ayyadurai explained during a recent visit to HuffPost Live. “And Fran heard my talk and we fell in love, and we’ve been together since that talk.”

Dr. Ayyadurai is a smart guy and he is not only known for his work and innovation, but also for coming up with the idea for email.

His friends claim that he came up with the idea while he was still in high school and that he holds the copyright for the term “email.”

The couple seems to be very much in love and Ayyadurai said that he feels blessed to have Fran in his life.

“Every day is a celebration with Fran,” Ayyadurai said. “Every day is almost a romantic hangout with her. We’re always laughing, always enjoying ourselves.”

While Ayyadurai brags on Fran in interviews, Drescher has been sharing her feelings about him on Twitter and other social networks.

Congratulations to the couple and may they have a long and happy marriage.

  • Fran Drescher Is A Married Woman

Fran Drescher is now a married woman!

According to People, Drescher married her longtime beau Shiva Ayyadurai over the weekend.

Drescher’s wedding was very low key, and took place at the couple’s home on the beach. Only their closest friends and family members were in attendance.

Ayyadurai, who holds the patent for inventing Email, started dating the former The Nanny star last year. He met Fran while he was giving a speech at an event hosted by Deepak Chopra.

“Fran heard my talk and we fell in love, and we’ve been together since that talk,” Ayyadurai said. “Every day is a celebration with Fran. Every day is almost a romantic hangout with her. We’re always laughing, always enjoying ourselves.”

Fran recently shared a picture of her and Shiva kissing. She captioned the photo by saying, “Be happy b well. B loving.”

Drescher was previously married to Peter Marc Jacobson, her high school sweetheart, and current producing partner. In 1999, they divorced, and Jacobson later revealed that he was gay. He is now open about his sexuality and is good friends with Fran.

Fran Drescher’s got a new man! And of course the 59-year-old actress has landed herself a gent. She’s the nanny that we know and love, and Fran is still looking good as ever. The dark-haired vixen became best remembered from her role in the TV sitcom The Nanny, where she donned eye-catching costuming such as figure-hugging mini skirts along with seductive black tights and pumps.

Drescher recently starred in the TV Land sitcom Happily Divorced starring as well, um, a divorcee. The sitcom actually mirrors Drescher’s real-life relationship and divorce from her former husband Peter Marc Jacobson who–after the divorce–admitted to being gay.

But never mind that now because tongues are wagging about Drescher stepping out at the Bridegroom premier with a new boy toy.

Drescher emerged at the premier of Bridegroom with the tall, dark, and handsome Shiva Ayyadurai, the disputed inventor of the term e-mail or something other. Yeah, nobody seems to know for certain, but who give a —-? There are more important things about which to be nosy, such as the fact that he’s a decade younger than Fran at the age of 49. Despite the surrounding controversy over what Ayyadurai actually contributed to e-mail (if anything at all), his lovely lady Fran doesn’t seem to care. Word has it that love was swirling in the air as Drescher and Ayyadurai were openly affectionate with each other at the premier.
