  • Eminem And Rihanna Unleash ‘The Monster’ At The 2014 MTV Movie Awards

Eminem and Rihanna got the crowd going at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. They headlined the two-hour awards show by singing their hit “The Monster” for the first time on TV. Their performance was an A+ among the A-list crowd. This is the second time the two artists have collaborated. The first was back in 2010 with their hit “Love the Way You Lie.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper said that his second collaboration with Rihanna was not a sequel of the first one, but rather a “revisitation.” “To me, it’s more about the vice, and it’s more about the nostalgia,” Eminem said.

Rihanna started the performance, appearing on stage in a white dress accessorized with a headband that read “FEAR” and a matching jacket and necklace. Eminem soon entered the stage and started rapping, not minding a few technical glitches. The energy-packed performance was a preview of Eminem and Rihanna’s mini-tour scheduled for this summer. They will be visiting Detroit, New Jersey, and Los Angeles.

Aside from the duo, other performances on Sunday night include Ellie Goulding who sang “Beating Heart” accompanied by Zed on piano. The song is part of the Divergent soundtrack. “Find You,” performed by Miriam Bryant and Matthew Koma for the EDM track, followed the performance by Goulding.

Another high-energy performance was brought by Twenty One Pilots. They performed their hip-hop/synth pop hit entitled “Car Radio.” Tyler Joseph, the frontman, performed with a white ski mask – the same mask he wore for the song’s music video. Some hundred fans also wore their own ski masks while dancing and jumping around during the performance.

Conan O’Brien even managed to do a performance before the end of the night, strapping on his guitar and performing a musical number with comedian Adam DeVine and a gospel choir.

Grammy award-winning rapper Eminem definitely pulled out all of the stops for his monumental single The Monster with Rihanna.

While most fans are definitely familiar with the chart-topping record itself, Slim Shady decided to provide a visual of the record for his following.

Yesterday, the ‘Rap God’ rapper debuted the full video of The Monster during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown before the Detroit Lions game against the Baltimore Ravens. Slim Shady drew the attention of most fans by sharing the tid-bits of information on his Twitter timeline.

The teaser opens with Eminem and the ‘Pour it Up’ singer sitting in a bleak office setting. Eminem is viewing a series of clips of himself on a television, while Rihanna takes notes, observing him from afar. The camera captures both of them in an effort to focus on Eminem’s reactions.

The short video ends in an outdoor scene with a two guards aiming guns at a huge crate, but the contents aren’t revealed. The ending image is actually the capture of the same teaser image Eminem tweeted.

The Monster, which was produced by Bryan “Frequency” Fryzel, is the third single from Eminem’s eighth studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The record, was officially released as a single via iTunes on Oct. 29. It is Eminem’s fourth collaborative production with Rihanna. The video shows Rihanna and Eminem sitting in a dimly lit room with Eminem watching a video montage of himself and Rihanna taking notes, acting as his therapist. The video highlights the struggles in Eminem’s life as images of bottles of pills and his daughter Hailie as a young child stream across the screen, along with the words violence, family, insanity, fame, death, and addiction. • Eminem and Rihanna Tease New Video “The Monster”

Eminem and Rihanna’s hit new song “The Monster” has been dominating the music charts. Soaring now at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the duo decided to have a little celebration.

Eminem released a brief preview to the highly-anticipated music video yesterday, Dec. 13.

In the preview, Rihanna acts as a counselor of sorts, analyzing Eminem (who is playing the patient.) Eminem sits in a chair as he watches a series of words like “family” and “addiction” pop up on a television set. He slowly goes into some sort of trance as the sounds in the room begin to grow. It’s certainly a pretty sweet preview.
