  • Charlize Theron And Sean Penn Get Down At Met Gala

From Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, celebrity couples walked the red carpet in droves last night at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City. One couple that everyone seems to be talking about the day after is Charlize Theron and Sean Penn, who were more than comfortable with putting on some good old fashioned PDA.

The couple behaved themselves at the actual event, holding hands on the red carpet and posing for pictures. However, according to an eye witness who reported to Us Weekly, things got a little down and dirty at the after party at the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel.

The couple was reportedly grooving to the Ol’ Dirty Bastard standard Got Your Money on the dance floor and then chilling on the roof top of the nightclub with cocktails and cigarettes. The source reported, “They play fought with each other and Theron started biting on his neck before they started rigorously making out.”

Penn and Theron have a history of public make out sessions. They were first reported together while canoodling on vacationing in Hawaii in January.

The Oscar winners were not the only celebrity couples at the uber-exclusive fundraising event.

  • Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Stun At Met Gala

A-List celebrities inundated the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City on May 5, however, not even the Beckhams are getting more attention than Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The pair do not usually attend these sort of red carpet events, but the amorous couple made a lasting impression and are atop of the Twitter hashtag: #WorldsMostBeautifulCouple.

America’s sweethearts delighted fans even more by wearing matching Gucci outfits. Lively, 26, wore a glamorous Gucci Premiere silk chiffon mermaid gown that was enhanced with a plunging neckline. Meanwhile Reynolds, 37, sported a custom made blue velvet Gucci tuxedo with a red bowtie. He didn’t shave for the event but no one works scruff quite like the Green Lantern.

The couple smiled and posed for photographers and the Twitter world erupted with glee.

Lively and Reynolds were married in September 2012 in a quiet ceremony. Reynolds was briefly married to Scarlet Johansson before the pair divorced in 2011.

There were certainly no shortage of hot celebrities at the exclusive event.

And of course, there were also plenty of fashion misses…

  • Kendall Jenner Shows Off Her White Dress For Met Gala

Kendall Jenner looks great in just about anything. It kind of comes with the territory of being a model, but the reality TV star can look extra extravagant when need be. In this case, a charity event had Jenner busting out a new dress.

Us Weekly reports that Jenner attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. The event serves to raise money for the museum while simultaneously kicking off its annual fashion exhibition. This year’s theme is Charles James: Beyond Fashion and it will feature a number of his works. As such, those attending the Met Gala were no doubt wearing designs inspired by James. That’s where Jenner’s dress comes in.

Over on Instagram, Jenner showed off the white dress that she wore to the gala. Compared to some of the dresses we’re used to seeing at award events, Jenner’s dress exudes a simplistic beauty that we don’t see very often anymore in fashion. It’s a breath of fresh air and Jenner looks all the more beautiful for it. Check it out for yourself:

Here’s another shot of her dress as she attempts to sit down in it:

Fashion wasn’t the only thing on Jenner’s mind at the event though as there’s photographic evidence of her goofing off and having a grand old time:

While the Met Gala may have already come and gone, the Charles James exhibit is just beginning. Starting this month and running until August, visitors to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will be able to take a look at some of James’ most famous designs. They will also gain a better understanding of how he designed fashion which is all the more impressive that he had no formal training:

After designing in his native London, and then Paris, James arrived in New York City in 1940. Though he had no formal training, he is now regarded as one of the greatest designers in America to have worked in the tradition of the Haute Couture. His fascination with complex cut and seaming led to the creation of key design elements that he updated throughout his career: wrap-over trousers, figure-eight skirts, body-hugging sheaths, ribbon capes and dresses, spiral-cut garments, and poufs. These, along with his iconic ball gowns from the late 1940s and early 1950s—the “Four-Leaf Clover,” “Butterfly,” “Tree,” “Swan,” and “Diamond”—will be showcased in the exhibition.
