  • Jena Malone Shows Off Baby Bump at Sundance Film Festival While Promoting “Lovesong”

Jena Malone only recently announced she and boyfriend Ethan DeLorenzo are expecting a baby. On Sunday the couple showed up at the Sundance Film Destival in Park City, Utah, where her baby bump was the star of the off-screen show.

The Hunger Games star (Jena Malone played the role of Johanna Mason in three out of the four Hunger Games films) was the center of attention among her Lovesong costars.

Riley Keough, Brooklyn Decker, Ryan Eggold, and Rosanna Arquette all star alongside Jena Malone in Lovesong, which is set to debut at the festival. So Yong Kim is the film’s director.

Jena Malone can’t claim acting as her only talent. When she and Ethan DeLorenzo announced they would soon become parents, she shared a poem as part of the announcement via social media.

    “Womb to womb
    To beating wing
I climbed out of the eternal
And into the shape of me
Some words I wrote years ago when I was thinking about my own mother. And the woman she was when she had me. And the woman I was reaching to become. The shape your desires make out of you. The body you become to hold your dreams. It’s with two feet firmly on the ground and a heart swelling in an ocean of love that I’d like to share the new shape I am becoming to hold the greatest dream of them all. #babybump #newparents”

  • “Mockingjay–Part 2” Trumps “In the Heart of the Sea” at Weekend Box Office

Mockingjay–Part 2, the final installment in The Hunger Games series of films trumped In the Heart of the Sea at the box office this weekend.

Based on the novel by Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay–Part 2 premiered on November 20, and has spent four weeks at the number one spot. Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, and Elizabeth Banks, this weekend saw earnings of more than $11.3 million. Mockingjay–Part 2 has thus far brought in more than $564 million worldwide.

In the Heart of the Sea is a Ron Howard production, and stars Chris Hemsworth. It came close to Mockingjay–Part 2, earning $11 million in ticket sales, but not enough to reach that number one spot.

Liam and Chris Hemsworth are competing against each other for number one box office status. Which of the brothers do you expect will win? Even if In the Heart of the Sea knocks Mockingjay–Part 2 out of the top spot next weekend, it will still have four weeks under its belt in that position–along with loads of money made worldwide.

Jeff Goldstein is the executive vice president of distribution at Warner Bros. He commented on In the Heart of the Sea’s opening weekend during an interview with the L.A. Times.

“It’s really a marathon and not a sprint with a film like this,” he said. “When you have an older-skewing audience, like this film, they don’t come out during opening week. You need some time for the audience to hear about it.”

Variety, however, reports that not even foreign audiences will be able to rescue In the Heart of the Sea. They are calling this debut weekend “disastrous.”

Have you seen either The Hunger Games: Mockingjay–Part 2 or In the Heart of the Sea?

  • Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner: “American Hustle” Costars Are Related

Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner share way more than simply having starred in the same film. The American Hustle costars share a bloodline, too. Yes, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner are fifth cousins, once removed.

Michelle Ercanbrack is a family historian at the very popular Ancestry.com. She says this discovery that Lawrence and Renner are related happened completely by chance.

“The discovery of the connection between Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner was complete happenstance,” she explains in a recent interview with People magazine, going on to say that researchers were checking out all of the cast members of The Hunger Games, expecting their might be a connection between Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson because they both have “deep Kentucky roots.”

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson didn’t share any roots, but when later researching Jeremy Renner, they recognized something.

“Later, we were researching Jeremy Renner and noticed he had a Tague family line from Kentucky, which looked familiar. Once we realized Jennifer Lawrence had the same family in her tree, finding the relationship between the two was not only quick, it was really close,” Ercanbrack says.

She adds it was shocking how closely Renner and Lawrence are related.

“With how closely Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner are related, we’re surprised they haven’t bumped into each other at a family reunion,” she joked.

In addition to their acting roots, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner share a wealth of similarities.

“The similarities between the two are striking: both have deep Kentucky roots, both are parts of wildly successful franchises, and both play family-oriented, freedom-fighting archers,” Ercanbrack says.

There’s been no word yet on how Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner feel about learning they’re related. Knowing Jennifer Lawrence’s kind of humor, she’ll likely invite herself to join his family at Christmas. Just imagine the fun they’d all have if that were to happen.

How shocking do you suppose it was for Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner to learn they’re fifth cousins, once removed?

  • Jennifer Lawrence Admits That She Once Googled Herself, Here’s What She Found Out

Jennifer Lawrence is no different than the rest of us.

Although she prides herself on not letting fame get to her head, as reported by People magazine, Lawrence still has issues with self confidence and admitted that she has given into temptation and googled herself after to see how media outlets spin her words and actions.

What she has found out has prompted her to be extra cautious when opening her mouth in public.

“I’m so scared to say anything now. I can see every negative way that people can take it, and I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining,” Lawrence told The New York Times. “It probably comes from Googling myself. If it were up to me, I would not talk. I would just act.”

Jennifer Lawrence conceded that googling herself is not necessarily the best use of her time, but finds that her insecurities can get the best of her.

“I can’t think of a more wasteful use of my time than to worry about this. Why do I care what people think? But I do. I just can’t pretend I don’t care. I get really insecure about it. The world makes an opinion of you without ever meeting you. That worry should not bother me, but it does. It bothers me. I’m going to leave here and think, Oh God, why couldn’t I just have been cool and confident?”

The Hunger Games star also dished on how her life has changed since emerging as one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood.

I don’t feel like I’m being dragged by anything anymore,” said Lawrence. “I feel more in control. I’m calmer. I know that there’s no point to feeling anxious all day, so I try not to. I’m still scared, but it’s about different things. Now, I worry about — [Trails off and shifts a bit uncomfortably on the sofa.] O.K., get ahold of yourself, Jennifer. This is not therapy.”

  • Natalie Dormer of ‘Game of Thrones’ Turns Eyes With Her Bold Fashion Choice at Comic-Con

Natalie Dormer of Game of Thrones certainly turned eyes with her bold fashion statement at a panel discussion with the cast of the famed HBO series.

The 33-year-old actress, who plays Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, opted for a white boxy crop top paired with a very colorful pair of slinky high-waisted flares that showed off her slender frame perfectly.

With her tousled blonde coiffed to the side of her shoulders, the British-born Dormer posed for photos with her hand on her hip at the 2015 Comic-Con event, held at the San Diego Convention Centre.

Currently starring as Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, Natalie Dormer laughed and joked with her colleagues on the panel as they fielded questions from the audience.

The Daily Mail reports that Natalie Dormer was joined on stage by Carice van Houten (Melisandre), Liam Cunningham (Stannis Baratheon’s right hand man Davos Seaworth) and Gwendoline Christie who plays Brienne of Tarth.

Hannah Murray (Gilly), John Bradley (Samwell Tarley), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Conleth Hill (Varys) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) were also on the panel.

Fans were likely shocked to hear that apart from Gwendoline, none of the Game of Thrones cast members had ever read the books.

“People would come up and be like, ‘Arya goes blind!’” said Maisie. “And I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I knew that. I totally knew that.’ Even though I didn’t.”

Natalie Dormer was called out a bit when one audience member asked her about her future plot lines.

‘To be perfectly honest, honey, a lot of us here at the table are in the same position as you guys and I don’t have an effing clue what will happen,’ replied Natalie Dormer.

  • Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence in Ebola PSA

Liam Hemsworth, Jennifer Lawrence, and Josh Hutcherson–all members of the Hunger Games cast–got together recently to create a PSA to help raise awareness of and shoot down misconceptions about the recent Ebola outbreak.

The PSA was published on Monday by the Ebola Survival Fund. The fund was founded by actor Jeffrey Wright, who plays Beetee in the Hunger Games franchise’s third film. Wright also works with larger-scale programs in order to fight the deadly disease.

“The world is facing the largest Ebola outbreak in history,” Wright says in the beginning of the PSA clip.

“But the countries hit hardest are Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone,” Lawrence continuesl.

“Weren’t there just wars there?” Hutcherson asks.

Jennifer Lawrence, of course, lets her sassy self shine through–even when discussing something as serious as Ebola.

“What would happen if you got Ebola?” she asks, then very quickly adds, “I’d be fine.”

Liam Hemsworth says, “People infected by the Ebola virus in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone…”

Julianne Moore continues his statement, saying, “…don’t have access to the same medical treatment as Americans.”

Jeffrey Wright even draws parallels between The Hunger Games and the African countries where Ebola is most prominent.

“The Hunger Games allegory aligns with this Ebola outbreak in that we, the United States, the West, relative to this, is very much like the Capitol and Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, are very much like the outer districts,” Wright said during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I thought, well, let’s play with that idea as a way of highlighting the stark contrast between we, the Capitol, and they, the outer districts, and using some of the constructs from the movie as a way of shining additional light on some of the contrasts.”

Hopefully this PSA will serve to educate many on what is happening in West Africa with regard to Ebola. Maybe it will inspire some to take action and help. Kudos to Liam Hemsworth, Jeffrey Wright, Jennifer Lawrence, and the rest of the Hunger Games cast for lending their voices and faces to this very important PSA.

  • Katniss Everdeen Now Immortalized In Wax

Katniss Everdeen, the Hunger Games character popularized by Jennifer Lawrence, can now be seen around the world in different variations at Madame Tussauds locations.

The wax figure looks a bit different depending on where you find her–be it New York, London, or Hollywood–but Lawrence’s striking features are captured pretty well in all three. She wears either her arena costume from the first film or the leather hunting outfit seen in Catching Fire and faces her audience with a serious expression.

“We are hugely excited to have worked with Lionsgate to launch a Katniss wax figure following The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1. … The figure is in its own film-specific backdrop, allowing our guests to get up close to Katniss and the beloved story of The Hunger Games, which we know they’ll love,” said a spokesperson from Madame Tussauds.

Lawrence made headlines last month when the song she sings in the latest film in the franchise–Mockingjay Part 1–began climbing the charts around the world. The Hanging Tree has officially made a reluctant pop star of the actress, who reportedly wanted someone else to lend their voice to that scene in the film.

“I knew she didn’t love the idea of singing, but I didn’t realize how nervous she was until when we started the first take, and she was in tears. Not totally broken down, but she was unhappy. She would have much rather we used somebody else’s voice. I think she said she wanted Lorde [who sings the movie’s theme song] to do it!” director Francis Lawrence said.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Lands On UK Top 40 With Song From Hunger Games

Besides being an Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Lawrence can now add two more feathers to her cap: singer and chart-topper. Jennifer landed on the UK Top 40 this week at number 29 with a song she had to sing in her latest film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.

Jennifer bagged the 29th stop on the Top 40 chart in the United Kingdom with the emotive song, “The Hanging Tree,” which was arranged by James Newton and folk-rock band The Lumineers. Lyrics of “The Hanging Tree” were written by the author of The Hunger Games books, Suzanne Collins.

The 24-year-old actor was required to sing the song on set as an important part of a particular scene. Despite her usual confidence in taking up acting tasks, however, Jennifer was reportedly dreading having to sing in front of other people.

“There are very few times when Jen gets nervous about stuff she has to do on set, and the singing was that kind of a thing … I didn’t have to talk her into it, she was going to do it, she knew it was her job, but she just wasn’t happy about it. ‘Oh man, I’ve got to actually sing! In front of 150 people!’” said Mockingjay director Francis Lawrence in an interview with Vulture.

It turned out that her natural vocal tones made Jennifer perfect for the task of singing “The Hanging Tree,” since the director said her singing shouldn’t sound like that of a professional. “It should sound like a real girl singing. So she did it. She did it all day. And she has a really cool sound to her voice,” he added. “There’s kind of a raspy texture to it. So it was not terrible in the slightest.”

Jennifer was reportedly terrified on the day she had to do it. “She was horrified to sing, she cried a little bit in the morning before she had to sing,” the director told Radio Times.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wanted This Singer To Do “The Hanging Tree”

Jennifer Lawrence has a Top 40 hit in the UK with her song “The Hanging Tree”, which is featured in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, but according to the director, she didn’t even want to sing at first.

Though the actress has shown off her vocal skills in the past–in the movie House At The End Of The Street–director Francis Lawrence says she wanted someone else to provide the pipes for “The Hanging Tree” and was extremely nervous about singing onset.

“I knew she didn’t love the idea of singing, but I didn’t realize how nervous she was until when we started the first take, and she was in tears. Not totally broken down, but she was unhappy. She would have much rather we used somebody else’s voice. I think she said she wanted Lorde [who sings the movie’s theme song] to do it!” Lawrence said.

The haunting song has become a hit since the film hit theaters; composed by James Newton and The Lumineers, the lyrics were written by the author of the books, Suzanne Collins. Director Lawrence says he enjoys the sound of the actress’s voice because she sounds like a real girl singing, rather than a polished performer.

“It should sound like a real girl singing. So she did it. She did it all day. And she has a really cool sound to her voice. There’s kind of a raspy texture to it. So it was not terrible in the slightest,” he said.

  • Jennifer Lawrence: ‘Hunger Games’ Song Climbs Pop Chart

Jennifer Lawrence isn’t just a film star. The Hunger Games heroine is now a pop star, too. Lawrence lent her vocals to a song in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1, and it is fast climbing the pop charts in the UK.

‘The Hanging Tree’ is the name of the song that People magazine describes as a ‘haunting tune.’ It has reached the Top 40 chart in the UK, presently holding the number 29 position.

Francis Lawrence directed The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1. He says Jennifer Lawrence was a wreck while singing the song on set for an important scene in the film.

“I knew she didn’t love the idea of singing, but I didn’t realize how nervous she was until when we started the first take, and she was in tears. Not totally broken down, but she was unhappy,” he said. “She would have much rather we used somebody else’s voice. I think she said she wanted Lorde [who sings the movie’s theme song] to do it!”

Jennifer Lawrence sings much the same way she speaks. No one was looking for a pitch perfect vocal performance, but rather a real girl singing a song.

“It shouldn’t sound like a professional,” Francis Lawrence adds. “It should sound like a real girl singing. So she did it. She did it all day. And she has a really cool sound to her voice. There’s kind of a raspy texture to it. So it was not terrible in the slightest.”

Have you seen The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 yet? What’s your take on Jennifer Lawrence as she sings in her role as Katniss Everdeen?

  • Jennifer Lawrence Pranked On Set By The Hunger Games Castmates

On the set of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Jennifer Lawrence and her castmates often pulled pranks on each other to keep spirits up. Lawrence revealed that she had once been the target of a particularly disgusting prank that haunted her especially during naptime.

At the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which was held at the Nokia Theater LA Live, Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier about what went down behind the scenes. “We all mess with each other to make sure all of us have a conflicted experience. I got a Tiffany’s box filled with crickets!” Lawrence said.

The trick was apparently spearheaded by Jeffrey Wright, who plays Beetee in the movie. He reportedly gave Lawrence a jewelry box that was full of crickets, which later infested her trailer. “It was the most awful combination of feelings in the world. It was like, Tiffany’s!? Jeffrey! You didn’t have to do that! And then I opened it… it was awful. And they were in my trailer for months, I couldn’t get them out,” continued Lawrence.

The 24-year-old actress also said that she would sometimes hear the crickets when trying to take naps in her trailer. Lawrence’s co-stars reportedly loved the prank.

    Jennifer Lawrence talks about crickets

“That was like the best prank ever pulled on anyone. She’s just fun to mess with,” said Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta, the love interest of Lawrence’s character.

Hutcherson added that he thought pranking Lawrence was “fun”. “We just love giving her crap all the time, and whether it’s a prank or just, you know, giving her a hard time, it’s the best,” said the 22-year-old Hutcherson.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will be in theaters in the US on November 21. Fans of the highly successful movie franchise, however, will reportedly have to wait another year to see Part 2, which is slated to show on November 20, 2015.

  • Natalie Dormer: How She Trained For Hunger Games

One thing is for certain. There is a lot of running and make believe fighting in the Hunger Games movies. How did Natalie Dormer, who plays Cressida in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, get herself fit enough to play the physically demanding role? She trained for and completed a marathon. Yes, that’s 26.2 miles in case you didn’t already know.

Dormer ran the London Marathon last April, and it clearly helped her prepare for the physical nature of playing a role where characters are literally fighting for their lives. “When we were shooting, we shot the two movies back to back, Mockingjay – Part 1 and Mockingjay – Part 2, and so we were nine months shooting and I was training for the London Marathon at the time, so that really helped, because a semi-automatic rifle is quite heavy,” Dormer said. “But I’m quite physical and I really enjoyed the cardio demands. It’s more in the second movie than the first, I’m more with the camera.”

Dormer is also known for her roles on cable television. She played the ill-fated Anne Boleyn on The Tudors, which aired on Showtime. Additionally, the 32-year-old actress currently plays Margaery Tyrell in HBO’s epic fantasy Game of Thrones, which just completed filming Season Five. In the show, Tyrell is the widow of the evil King Joffrey. However, she is hoping to connive her way back to Queendom by seducing Joffrey’s younger brother King Tommen, who is the presumptive heir to the Iron Throne.

Here’s Dormer chatting with Conan about how she would prefer her character Margaery to bite the bullet on Game of Thrones.

It looks like the English actress will be busy for the next year or two. She currently has three films in pre-production: Patient Zero, The Girl Who Invented Kissing, and The Forest.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 opens nationwide in theaters on Thursday. Mockingjay – Part 2 is currently in post-production and is slated for a November 2015 release.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Talks About Her Transformation From Tomboy to Red Carpet Beauty

Jennifer Lawrence may seem like a natural on the red carpet. However, the new face of Dior says it’s still a little unnatural for the self-proclaimed former tomboy.

“I hated my first dress for red carpets, because I never felt comfortable in these glamorous dresses,” Lawrence told Madame Figaro. “In Louisville, when I was a child, I inherited clothes from my two older brothers [Ben and Blaine] that I put together with thing that my mother unearthed out of yard sales. I was a tomboy.”

The 24-year-old actress said that she’s starting to change her mind about getting all dolled up for the red carpet because she “only recently discovered the beauty of high fashion.” She says this change of heart came after starring in The Hunger Games franchise and winning an Oscar for her work in Silver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence said she never really longed to be a part of the Hollywood A-listers. In fact, she waited “three long days” before accepting Hunger Games when she was offered the huge role a few years back because she envisioned a different career path.

“I dreamed of independent films. I was afraid of being identified as a prominent character for young people,” she said.

Lawrence said she wasn’t sure she wanted “this life,” but “I was afraid of one day regretting having missed the [opportunity]. Since then, I realized that whatever I do, at any level, I would lose a part of my private life.”

  • Julianne Moore: “Hunger Games” Role Is “Meaningful”

Julianne Moore spoke recently about her decision to pursue a role in the Hunger Games franchise, saying the books meant so much to her children that she immediately felt drawn to the films.

Moore plays Alma Coin, president of District 13, in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, and says that having a role in the movies is important to her kids.

“Most of the films I make are not for kids. My son was in line for the midnight show when ‘The Hunger Games’ first came out. They both loved the books. For them, my being in Mockingjay was fairly meaningful,” she said in a recent interview with More. “For a child moving into adolescence, the big question is, ‘Do I have free will? Can I determine my own future?’ [At that age] you’re still with your parents. But you’re asking yourself, ‘Who am I?’”

The film was the last time Moore got to work with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who died in February. The actors had previously worked together in The Big Lebowski, Magnolia, and Boogie Nights.

“He was an extraordinary talent and a lovely human being,” she said.

Moore received some high praise from her Still Alice director Wash Westmoreland recently, who said that the actress deserves an Oscar for her role in the film.

“I think Julianne Moore is perhaps the greatest American actress never to have received that award. I think that’s widely understood,” Westmoreland said.

Moore plays a successful linguist battling Alzheimer’s Disease and is garnering buzz for a possible Best Actress nomination.

  • Jennifer Lawrence to Meet Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Kids?

Is Jennifer Lawrence about to take a huge step in her relationship with Coldplay front man Chris Martin? One source says she’s about to meet his (and Gwyneth Paltrow’s) two kids.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Apple and Moses will meet Katniss Everdeen–star of The Hunger Games–any day now.

A source even reported to RadarOnline that Chris Martin is ready to take this big step.

“He sees this relationship going the distance,” the source said. However, that same source did mention that when Chris told Gwyneth that he would like the kids to meet Jennifer Lawrence, she wasn’t too happy about his plans.

“Gwyneth was absolutely stunned when Chris told her he wants to introduce the kids to Jennifer,” the source added.

It seems Gwyneth Paltrow is a bit stunned, too, by the fact that Chris Martin moved on to Jennifer Lawrence so quickly following their split and their decision to consciously couple or uncouple–or whatever it is she talks about in Goop and with her friends.

“This has been a huge blow to Gwyn’s ego because she has always bragged that she has Chris wrapped around her finger,” the source said.

Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly tried controlling some of Chris Martin’s time lately, too.

It is reported however, despite Gwyneth Paltrow’s surprise and Chris Martin’s new woman–Jennifer Lawrence–that all will put on a united front for Apple and Moses.

How do you suppose Jennifer Lawrence will react to being introduced to Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s children? Jennifer isn’t all that old herself. Might this be a potentially awkward situation in the works?

  • Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin: For Real?

Jennifer Lawrence is rumored to be dating Coldplay front man and Gwyneth Paltrow’s sort-of ex, Chris Martin. Is there any truth to this? It seems there very well may be.

E! reports that the two have been romantically linked for several weeks now–despite the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are only separated–and not divorced. It was only a week or so ago that word hit the media regarding Jennifer Lawrence’s split from her X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult. Has the American Hustle star had an incredibly busy summer?

Yesterday was Jennifer Lawrence’s 24th birthday, but there didn’t seem to be any sightings of her with her new beau celebrating her big day. Twitter was abuzz with word of her birthday, however.

It was back in March when Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow issued a statement about their split.

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner,” they said–making the word ‘uncoupling’ the topic of articles and news reports all around the world.

They have no doubt remained ‘uncoupled’ if Chris has in fact taken up with Jennifer Lawrence. Does that mean Chris and Jennifer are ‘consciously coupling?’

This definitely isn’t the first time Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin’s names have come up in conversation. After all, Coldplay played a role in the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Jennifer Lawrence, of course, plays The Hunger Games heroine, Katniss Everdeen.

What’s your take? Do you think there’s really something romantic going on between still-legally-married Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence? And if so, what do you suppose Gwyneth Paltrow thinks of the situation?

Surely fans of all three celebrities will be watching and waiting for official words or photos that either confirm or shut down this romance rumor.

  • Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult Call It Quits

Jennifer Lawrence and beau Nicholas Hoult have reportedly called it quits–again. The two X-Men: Days of Future Past stars supposedly spent too much time apart because of their busy schedules.

One source questions whether those ‘busy schedules’ are the real reason for the split, however. In fact, some wonder if his recent dinner date with Twilight star Kristen Stewart had anything to do with the break up. Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart are both starring in Equals and were spotted dining out together in Japan recently.

The Hunger Games star and Nicholas Hoult met on the set of X-Men: First Class but split up in January of 2013 after dating for almost two years. They rekindled their romance when they started filming X-Men: Days of Future Past. The two promoted the film together less than three months ago.

Jennifer Lawrence covered the June issue of Marie Claire. Within its pages she dished on the secret of perfecting a long-distance relationship–the one she shared with Nicholas Hoult.

“When we’re busy, we agree to mutually ignore each other. Not completely, but neither of us gets mad when the other doesn’t text back or call,” she said. “Life’s super busy. Obviously you know what they’re doing, and you trust them.”

Before dishing on her long distance romance, she talked to the magazine about what it might be like if they didn’t spend so much time apart.

“We’re so young that it would almost be like, if we lived in the same city, what would happen? We’d be living together,” she said. “At least this way he’s in the same boat as I am: We can go out and have our own lives and know that we have each other.”

Did Nicholas Hoult become too busy for Jennifer Lawrence–with Kristen Stewart? Is that the real reason why the X-Men ex-couple has called it quits for the second time?

Regardless of the how or the why of their split, her break up with Nicholas Hoult means Jennifer Lawrence is single once again. Single men both in and outside of Hollywood are likely counting their lucky stars and wondering exactly what their chances might be of even just going on one date with the American Hustle beauty.

Which single Hollywood hunk do you think will make the first play for Jennifer Lawrence?

  • Liam Hemsworth: Missing Miley Cyrus?

Liam Hemsworth recently praised ex-fiancee Miley Cyrus publicly, fueling some speculation that the Hunger Games star is missing the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer. Hemsworth was reportedly overheard dishing about Miley in a restaurant in Italy, where he’s been vacationing, saying that the two would “always be best friends” and they had “an instantaneous and powerful connection.”

“Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other. He also said they bought a lot of furniture but he had to leave it behind when they broke up and he got his new place, which was furnished,” a source shared.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth met when both starred in the Nicholas Sparks film The Last Song back in 2009. Hemsworth proposed to the iconic twerker three years later with a 3.5 carat Neil Lane engagement ring.

Liam and Miley were last spotted together for the L.A. premiere of his film Paranoia. It was shortly thereafter that he announced their split. Miley Cyrus told Elle magazine during a post-breakup interview that she once believed she couldn’t live without both Disney and Liam Hemsworth.

“When I went through a really intense breakup — you know, I was engaged — and when I was with him [Hemsworth] or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn’t there to carry me anymore or if I didn’t have him,” she said.

“And now I’m free of both of those things, and I’m fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I’m totally okay, and that’s so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn’t have a boyfriend,” the ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ singer added.

Do you believe Liam Hemsworth really said those things about Miley Cyrus while in an Italian restaurant? Do you suppose the ‘source’ may have embellished his comments just a bit? It stands to reason that Liam might be missing Miley–they spent a long time together, after all. However it seems quite unlikely that he wants her back. Her behavior and his upbringing by religious Aussie parents don’t really go hand in hand.

  • Katey Sagal Joins Cast of ‘Pitch Perfect 2’

Katey Sagal has officially signed on to the cast of the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has ever heard her sing in her role as Gemma Taylor on Sons of Anarchy. Katey is an accomplished singer who is presently on the road performing at various venues in her effort to promote her latest CD Covered. She will no doubt add both of her abundant talents to the new film.

In Pitch Perfect 2, Sagal will play the role of Hailee Steinfeld’s mother. Hailee is a newcomer to the Pitch Perfect cast as well. Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow are among those reprising their roles for the new film. The movie is in pre-production and is expected to arrive in theaters in May of 2015. Elizabeth Banks has made the leap from actress to director as she takes the helm for this highly anticipated production. She is known for several film roles including The Hunger Games and Walk of Shame.

“Elizabeth originated the idea for Pitch Perfect and was instrumental in making the first film such a huge success,” Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said during a recent interview. “She brings an enormous amount of energy and experience to everything she works on and we’re thrilled that she is making her feature directorial debut on Pitch Perfect 2.”

Depending on the kind of mother Katey Sagal plays in Pitch Perfect 2, it might be a far cry from her Sons of Anarchy persona. Will her TV show fans follow her to the big screen–and then back to TV again?

Are you a Pitch Perfect fan? Are you among those counting the months until Pitch Perfect 2 arrives at a theater in your city?

  • Jennifer Lawrence Trades Pixie Cut for Sexy Bob

Jennifer Lawrence seems to be letting her hair grow out and she looks fabulous with the longer locks.

The Academy Award-winning actress was spotted Monday in New York City donning her new do.

The 23-year-old cut her hair back in November into a short pixie cut that fans either loved or hated.

She told Yahoo she went for the extreme cut because she felt her hair “couldn’t get any uglier” after years of abuse from coloring and styling.

“It was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length,” Lawrence said. “I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, ‘Well, I don’t want to do this,’ so I just cut it off.”

Time sure does fly because it seems like only yesterday she stepped – or fell rather – out onto the red carpet during award season with her hair still really short.

But since those by-gone days of gowns and jewels, the Hunger Games star’s locks have grown out into her new bob-style cut.

She sure looked great hitting the town with her new hairstyle and fresh, spring-like attire Monday.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wins MTV Best Actress Award

It’s not a huge surprise that Jennifer Lawrence beat out several other actresses Sunday to win the MTV Award for Best Female Performance for her role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

It was a good night for The Hunger Games. Lawrence’s co-star Josh Hutcherson also won for best male performance and the film won movie of the year.

Lawrence won the the coveted golden bowl of popcorn over actresses Sandra Bullock for Gravity, Jennifer Aniston for We’re the Millers, Lupita Nyong’o for 12 Years a Slave, and Amy Adams for American Hustle.

The 23-year-old Kentucky native has an extremely full plate in the months to come. One project in the works is a remake of the 1955 movie classic East of Eden adapted from John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel of the same name. The original starred James Dean and Julie Harris.

According to writer-director Gary Ross — who helped launch Lawrence’s career with The Hunger Games and will team with her again in the East of Eden project — the film may be split into two films, which seems to be a trend these days in Hollywood.

“It may be two films,” he said. “We may break it in half, into one generation and the next. And that’s what we’re talking about now.”

Ross says the picture — or pictures — is in development with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard of Imagine Entertainment. There is no start date yet for the project as it will ultimately depend on the star’s busy schedule.

“It’s one of the things that is sort of on my plate, [that] I’m interested in doing,” he said. “I’m not certain if it’s the next movie. Part of that is my schedule. Part of that is Jennifer’s schedule as well. But it’s definitely something that we intend to do.”

Ross directed the first installment of the Hunger Games movie franchise, but decided to give up the directing reins for the second — saying he felt he wouldn’t do the film justice by taking on too much in the short amount of time allotted between the two films.

“We got to the end of the process on Hunger Games, and I had literally been only focused on that with the intention of doing it, and then Jennifer’s schedule on X-Men made it very clear to everybody that we were going to have to start the movie in September,” he said. “I write and direct. That’s just my process. So first I write, and then I direct. And that’s a linear process for me. So, that was an eight-month process on the first movie. It was going to have to be a four-month process on the second movie, and I didn’t think there was adequate time to write a script and then prep that movie in what normally takes me the same amount of time to write the script. Now it’s different when you don’t have to write the script and somebody else can be writing while you can be prepping. But those aren’t simultaneous processes for me and I didn’t feel that I would be doing the movie any service in order to do that.”
