  • Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen Expecting Baby #3

    Isla Fisher was spotted in London sporting a sizable baby bump this week–meaning she and hubby Sacha Baron Cohen are expecting their third baby. The two have been married since 2010 and are the parents of two daughters thus far. Olive is six and Eula is four. Might the third time be that proverbial charm if the couple is hoping for a baby boy?

    Us Weekly reports that Isla Fisher has pulled out of her upcoming film role in Now You See Me 2 because of her pregnancy.

    “Production starts in November and she knew she wouldn’t be able to do it,” the source told the publication, adding, “She’s about three months along.”

    Despite their careers, Sacha Baron Cohen and The Great Gatsby star are said to be quite private about their personal lives. Isla Fisher did share her feelings about her family during an interview from just over a year ago.

    “Family is 100 percent my top priority. So I’m much more comfortable doing supporting roles right now. And often,” she told The Telegraph in July 2013. “They’re the most interesting,” the star reasoned. “You get to be a character actress.”

    She talked about her two previous pregnancies during an interview with Fitness magazine in 2013, too.

    “I gained 65 pounds with my first baby and 70 with my second,” she shared. “I had severe morning sickness both times, so I mostly ate supersize bowls of white pasta with loads of butter and cheese because that was the only thing that took away the nausea.”

    Even though Isla Fisher lost a great deal of her pregnancy weight by doing yoga, she realizes her stomach will never be completely flat–and that doesn’t seem to bother her in the least.

    “Even though it will never be flat again, it’s still my favorite because it reminds me of my greatest achievement: my babies,” she said.

    What an amazing attitude Fisher has. Too bad moms everywhere couldn’t adopt her philosophy–and concentrate more on the gift their bodies gave them instead of how badly they want their bodies to resemble those on magazine covers.

    Congratulations to Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher on the soon-to-be new member of their family.

  • Nicola Peltz Movie ‘Affluenza’ Acquired by FilmBuff

    Affluenza, starring Nicola Peltz, was recently acquired by FilmBuff and has been slotted for a July 11 theatrical and on demand release date.

    Peltz stars alongside Steve Guttenberg, Samantha Mathis, Grant Gustin, Ben Rosenfield, and Gregg Sulkin in the coming-of-age drama that is loosely based on The Great Gatsby.

    The script was written by Antonio Macia, who previously teamed up with the film’s director Kevin Asch on Holy Rollers.

    Set in upscale Great Neck, Long Island amid the 2008 financial crisis, the film title references a term derived from the merging of the words “affluence” and “influenza.” It is often used to refer to the rampant consumerism that many believe led to the crisis.

    “This is a film I felt compelled to make – the themes of money, family, and finding one’s place in society have never been more relevant. I’m excited for audiences to be entertained by this seminal group of actors who create a provocative and layered world. FilmBuff is a perfect partner,” said Asch.

    According to FilmBuff’s head of content Steven Beckman, “Affluenza possesses a strong visual style, terrific cast and a dynamic script combining highly relevant issues with a sense of youthfulness that will allow for the film to connect with wide audiences.”

    At least one member of the Affluenza cast is seeing good things in her acting career.

    Peltz burst onto the scene in 2010’s Airbender and from there went on to Arts and Entertainment Network’s Bates Motel series.

    Her biggest role yet might be her most recent, as the female lead in the latest Transformers movie. Peltz will play Tessa Yeager in Transformers: Age of Extinction. She’ll star opposite Mark Wahlberg in the film, which is scheduled for a June 2014 release.

  • Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Pregnant Again?

    Page Six is reporting that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is expecting her second child with Jionni LaValle.

    Snooki and LaValle became the proud parents of Lorenzo Dominic in August 2012.

    The couple revealed news of their engagement and first pregnancy back in March 2012.

    Although many had doubts about the reality television star’s ability to be a good mother, she appears to have embraced motherhood with aplomb.

    She moved out of the wild and crazy Jersey Shore party house when she became pregnant with Lorenzo, saying at the time “I’m definitely taking this pregnancy seriously and with all the bacteria and everyone having sex in the smoosh room its just not where a pregnant person or a baby should be.”

    During an August 2013 appearance on The View Snooki said she wants a large family:

    “Right when I get married I want to have my second kid right away. I want like three more. I want like the Brady Bunch. I think it’s cause I’m an only child and I never really had anyone to play around with so I want a big family.”

    In December 2013, Snooki released a book titled Baby Bumps: From Party Girl to Proud Mama, and all the Messy Milestones Along the Way.

    The book description sums up the star’s initiation into motherhood perfectly:

    The greatest thing Nicole Polizzi, aka “Snooki,” ever did was by accident. But her son, Lorenzo, was never a mistake. When she and her boyfriend, Jionni, found out she was knocked up, they weren’t married or engaged. She was only twenty-four and living with her parents—and she had zero baby experience. With a reckless, party girl TV persona to deal with, she had a lot to learn and discover in becoming a mother.

    Snooki recently revealed that her wedding will have a Great Gatsby theme and she’ll be wearing an “elegant ball gown” when she and LaValle tie the knot.

    Snooki left Jersey Shore in 2012 but has kept busy since. She and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley starred in three seasons of the MTV reality series Snooki & JWOWW. The final episode of Season Three aired in January. So far there is no word if the series will be renewed for another season.

    Snooki also participated in the 17th season of Dancing with the Stars. She and partner Sasha Farber were eliminated in October 2013, coming in eighth place.

    She recently launched a clothing line and sells footwear, glasses, jewelry, and perfume in her Snooki Shop.

  • The Great Gatsby Trailer Is Here, And It’s Spectacular

    While most of us read the book in high school, it’s likely that few remember much about it or even paid very close attention to it (too many good games on Playstation). But with the Baz Luhrmann film based on the story coming out later this year, it’s a sure bet even those who weren’t huge fans of the book will want to check it out.

    Luhrmann, whose work includes Romeo + Juliet (which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio) and Moulin Rouge, is known for his visual spectacles, and judging from the trailer for the film, it will most definitely be that. The movie captures the era that the story is set in–the roaring ’20s–with all the glitter, sexy costumes, and prohibition decadence that the time was known for, and which Luhrmann does so well. DiCaprio shares the screen with Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, among others, who embody the characters in lush portrayals of tragedy.

    Hardcore fans of the book, however, are having a hard time with this version of the story, since Luhrmann always takes liberties with his projects and adds modern music to classic tales, among other things. The clash of old and new, especially with such a beloved book, turns a lot of people off. However, there’s something to be said for just enjoying the lavish production of the film rather than comparing it to Fitzgerald’s version.
