Grant Gustin has been kind enough to share a couple of Instagram posts with Melissa Benoist to revive the excitement until the big team-up.

Gustin even took a little time out from shooting the episode to poke a little fun at the producers over at The Flash.

Hey Flash producers… I've already got a fancier chair on Supergirl than I've got on Flash. Just saying…

  • Danielle Panabaker Talks New Role As Killer Frost

Danielle Panabaker has garnered many a fan of her sweet and selfless character, Caitlin Snow, on The Flash.

On The Flash, Danielle Panabaker enjoys a certain safety to her role as everyone’s pseudo-mother, worried about everyone’s well-being.

Danielle Panabaker, as Caitlin, has also enjoyed a newly slow-budding romance with Jay Garrick.

But now, Danielle Panabaker has taken on the role of Killer Frost and all bets are off on Earth 2 as she terrorizes in a partnership with Earth 2’s Ronnie, who is now Deathstorm.

Killer Frost! Tomorrow on @cwtheflash – you don't wanna miss it! #theflash #killerfrost

Danielle Panabaker seems to welcome the break from sweet, concerned Caitlin.

She said of her new role, “They’re Earth 2’s Bonnie and Clyde. They like to terrorize people as much as they can and they have a passion [for it]. One of Killer Frost’s powers is that she kisses men when she kills them. Her lips freeze them and the only man for her is Deathstorm because he’s on fire, so it’s a relationship that was meant to be.”

Killer Frost! Deathstorm! I almost can't believe it – get ready cuz we're going to Earth 2 next week on @cwtheflash

Of course, Danielle Panabaker’s Killer Frost has her heart set on The Flash, but not to protect or care for him.

Panabaker said, “I think Earth 2 is a little bit different from Earth 1 in that you know, Killer Frost is a metahuman and she’s a little bit more used to seeing them. I think she is excited to see a different Flash and can’t wait to take him on — and hopefully kill him. I think that’s her passion.”

About that costume? Danielle Panabaker revealed that it took a while to get just the right look for Killer Frost. Killer Frost didn’t always sport that long hair and those blue lips.

Danielle Panabaker admitted, “There was a whole look that was scrapped. The wig actually started as a really short pixie, and then it just evolved. We must have done about a dozen tests to find the right makeup look.”

She added, “There was some concern over the blue lips in the beginning because at some point there were a couple of people who felt like her lips should be whited out. But I’m really pale, so if you white-out my lips, you can’t see anything.”

What did you think about Danielle Panabaker’s debut as Killer Frost?

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making SupergirlThe Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!” the statement read. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

This is the first time Supergirl has appeared in a crossover episode. The Flash has been included in multiple crossover episodes with Arrow.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as the lead character, as well as Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Jessie L. Martin, and Rick Cosnett.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the lead character, as well as Mehcad Brooks, Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, and Jeremy Jordan.

  • Grant Gustin Shows Off his New ‘Flash’ Look

Grant Gustin Shows Off his New ‘Flash’ Look

DC Comics fans finally have something new to debate. The CW’s new series about The Flash  revealed a teaser of his new snazzy suit.

The Flash doesn’t begin production for another week. However, the first official picture of Grant Gustin in his Flash costume was shown today. To not give too much away too soon, the production team only exposed the very top half of his new outfit.

Colleen Atwood designed The Flash’s new costume. She is an Oscar-winning designer, and also designed the costume used on The Flash’s parent show Arrow. Atwood design credits include costumes for such movies as Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Arrow introduced The Flash’s origin story in December; Barry Allen appeared in the two part Arrow mid-season finale. Originally, The Flash and Arrow’s executive producers wanted to make a backdoor pilot with Gustin, similar to what another hit CW show did last pilot season. The Vampire Diaries aired a backdoor pilot of their spin-off The Originals. In November, Arrow and The Flash’s team changed their backdoor pilot plans. The Flash received an order for a full stand-alone pilot.

As a Central City assistant police forensic-investigator, Allen comes to Starling City to investigate a chain of unsolved robberies that may have a connection to something tragic in his past. Allen develops his powers of super speed through a freak accident.

The cast includes John Wesley Shipp (who played Barry Allen from the 90s version of Flash), Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, and Rick Cosnett.

If picked up for a full series, Flash will likely air in the fall of 2014. The high profile nature of this pilot almost guarantees it a 10-episode order, especially considering the CW’s past success with DC Comics series. Smallville about a young Clark Kent lasted ten seasons, and Arrow’s audience continues to grow. It has already been renewed for a third season.

  • Danielle Panabaker to Co-Star In the CW’s “Flash” Pilot

For years, the CW has toyed with the idea of developing a Flash television series, but only officially started its production last summer. In December the CW show Arrow introduced the character of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), soon-to-be Flash, as a way to develop a spinoff series around the DC comics’ character.

Originally creators of Arrow planned a backdoor pilot with Gustin. He was scheduled to appear in three episodes of the second season, his third appearance would serve as The Flash pilot. However, in November those plans were changed, and The Flash was given its own full stand-alone pilot. The show’s producers wanted Allen’s character development on a bigger scale and budget.

Since this development, the series’ producers hired Law & Order star Jesse L. Martin to portray Detective West, who Deadline describes as “an honest, blue-collar cop who is a surrogate father to Allen.”

Yesterday more casting news came to us in a flash. Danielle Panabaker will also co-star in The Flash. Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow, a very intellectual bioengineering expert, who’s dealing with the loss of her fiancé. He died during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.  Panabaker’s past television credits include Shark, Bones, Mad Men, Necessary Roughness and The Glades.

Another cast addition is Rick Cosnett. He currently appears on The Vampire Diaries as Dr. Wes Maxfield. Cosnett will play Detective Eddie Thawne, who recently transferred to the Central City Police Department. Thawne carries a past full of secrets.  ScreenRant has already started speculating/revealing who these characters may represent from the original comics.

DC Comics’ characters have brought The CW success in the past. Smallville about a young Clark Kent, aka Superman, lasted on the network for ten seasons. Arrow is currently on its second season and has been well-received by both critics and viewers. Therefore, it’s a safe bet to say that The Flash will be another hit for the CW.

The Flash should premiere in the fall of 2014, possibly paired up with Arrow on Wednesday nights.

  • The Joker Introduces Lex Luthor To A Crowbar In The Latest Injustice: Gods Among Us Matchup

Last week, WB Games started up the Injustice Battle Arena where fans of the upcoming fighter could vote to see who fights who in weekly match ups. The first week saw Batman face off against Bane and Wonder Woman face off against Harley Quinn. Batman and Wonder Woman moved on to the second round.

This week, the two match ups are a bit more interesting. First up, we have The Joker vs. Lex Luthor in a fight that sees The Joker using some classic weapons, like his trusty crowbar, against the power suit fitted Lex. Lex has some tricks of his own, however, including an orbital laser that he calls down upon enemies.

The second fight is between The Flash and Shazam, which seems a little unfair. Shazam definitely holds his own though, and puts up a terrific fight. That being said, The Flash had this one in the bag.

The Battle Arena will be back next week with two more match ups that will probably be just as exciting as the last four have been. Here’s hoping newly announced Aquaman gets his chance to shine soon.

Injustice: Gods Among Us comes out for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U on April 16.
