  • Shayne Lamas of The Bachelor Fame Expecting Baby #2

Shayne Lamas of The Bachelor fame is expecting her second baby with hubby Nik Richie. Her husband confirmed the pregnancy in an interview with Us Weekly.

“Shayne’s twelve weeks pregnant,” he said. “Like the great husband I am, I knocked her up during her birthday trip in Maui, Hawaii last November. Definitely a LOVE baby.”

Lamas won season 12 of The Bachelor back in 2008. Bachelor Matt Grant proposed to her during the show’s season finale, but just a few months later the couple announced that they were no longer engaged. She and Nik Richie got married in Las Vegas after having known each other only a few hours back in 2010. The couple had their first child–a daughter named Press Dahl Lamas-Richie, back in November of 2011.

This past Wednesday, Shayne Lamas shared the following via Instagram.

She added, “When you are under construction it’s ideal to put on the hard-hat kids” to her post.

In addition to appearing on The Bachelor, Shayne Lamas played the role of Young Carly Corinthos on General Hospital back in 2005. The daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, she also briefly appeared on his E! reality TV show Leave It to Lamas.

Nik Richie–who was born Hooman Abedi Karamian–is best known for his controversial celebrity website The Dirty. He and Shayne Lamas filmed several episodes of VH1’s Couples Therapy back in 2012. Do you suppose it had anything to do with only having known each other a few hours when tying the knot?

Hopefully by now Nik Richie and Shayne Lamas have worked out all of those pesky marital issues, because marriage takes on a whole new feel when baby number two comes along.

  • Emily Maynard, Former Star of “The Bachelorette,” Is Engaged to Tyler Johnson

Emily Maynard is engaged yet again, this time to Tyler Johnson. She has kept a bit of a low profile since, but Maynard rose to fame while searching for love on multiple reality shows.

After several engagements and failed relationships, Emily Maynard may have finally found the one. She was proposed to by her boyfriend on January 4th, and the couple will not waste any time in getting married.

Maynard has competed on multiple reality shows in her search for love, and it seems that she may have found it the old-fashioned way this time. She first rose to fame on the 15th season of The Bachelor, where she beat out many female competitors and was able to win the heart of Brad Womack.

After she split up with Womack, she went on to star in season eight of The Bachelorette, ending in a proposal from Jeff Holm. However, that engagement was called off in 2012.

In November, a source told E! that the couple very getting “very serious” and that “He’s met her daughter, Ricki, and they’re already like a little family unit.” However, at that point, the couple did not seem to be thinking about marriage.

In addition, she was engaged to the late Ricky Hendrick. Hendrick died from a plane crash in 2004, and was the father to Emily Maynard’s daughter, Ricki.

Emily Maynard met Tyler Johnson months before she started filming The Bachelorette, although they didn’t start dating until after her split from Holm. Throughout their relationship in the past year, Johnson has also become very close with Ricki.

She was very excited to announce the news to the world, and shared it with everyone when saying “We’re really excited! He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings. It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me!”

Tyler Johnson’s proposal was enough to impress anyone, as he presented her a ring with five diamond-studded bands.

The two of them also shared a picture of the celebrations on New Year’s Eve, days before the big proposal.

Emily Maynard currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her daughter.

  • Gia Allemand Remembered On The Bachelor

The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo special aired on Sunday, January 5, and was full of clips from the previous seasons to get fans pumped up for the newest season that premiered last night. While most of the clips were humorous, there was one that brought tears to many viewers eyes.

During the lengthy clip, tribute was payed to Gia Allemand. who was a contestant on Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor in 2010. Last August, Allemand made the decision to take her own life. The clip was very emotional and showed Allemand saying: “I just hope people remember my kind heart. I have a kind heart for people. That’s what I hope people remember me for.”

Later in the clip, Allemand talks about her desire to, one day, start a family of her own. “I want two kids, and I want to adopt a baby girl from China,” she said. Sadly, that will never happen.

Donna Micheletti, Allemand’s mother, also took part in the tribute, and talked about much she loves and misses her daughter. “Gia took her own life and it is heart-wrenching and I wouldn’t want to see any other parent go through this. There is plenty of help for everyone. I just miss her. Gia was always full of such life, and she’d walk into a room and you’d feel her presence. She’d light up that room like sunshine.” Micheletti also encouraged anyone who was having suicidal thoughts to seek immediate medical attention to prevent something like this from happening again.

  • Courtney Robertson To Release “Juicy” Book

Thirty-year-old Courtney Robertson received the final rose on The Bachelor during season 16. However, she has now traded in that rose for a book deal with HarperCollins Publishers.

The book aims to release intimate details about Courtney’s behind-the-scenes involvement with the show. Her persona as a television vixen may have contributed to the title of the book, which will be called I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain.

Her relationship with Ben Flajnik, the show’s star, ended in October of 2012, after dating for less than a year. The following video shows a compilation of Courtney’s time during the show’s 2011 ABC season.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYTBAIg52PY

Courtney Robertson recently spoke with Us where she delved into her time on The Bachelor as well as her upcoming book.

Appearing on the popular television show might seem like a dream to most people; however, Courtney had to live through an unpleasant side of being so well-known. “Going on The Bachelor was the most amazing opportunity I’ve ever had but I did not have a fairy tale ending,” Courtney said before adding, “The girls hated me, my modeling career was destroyed and Ben and I had a tumultuous 11-month relationship that ultimately imploded. There are two sides to every story.”

So, why the sudden interest in reliving situations from the past? Courtney Robertson explained. “I wanted a chance to talk about what went down from my perspective, because I think there are a lot of misconceptions out there about me,” she said.

Should anyone affiliated with the show during Courtney’s stint with the program be concerned about potentially embarrassing details? Courtney has not been forthcoming about what type of specific details will definitely surface from the book, but she did give some indication.”Writing the book has been very cathartic. I’ve definitely learned a lot about myself and love! I think fans of the show are going to love it, it’s totally juicy and hilarious,” she said.

The following video shows Courtney introducing Ben Flajnik to her family.

  • Jesus Appears To Woman In Florida During The Bachelor

Jesus gets around a lot these days. So much to do and so little time for the Son of God, but he at least took a little time out this week to catch up on The Bachelor.

10 News, a Tampa Bay CBS News affiliate, reported on Guerda Maurice, a Port St. Lucie resident who claims to have taken a picture of Jesus praying in her TV. The miraculous image appeared on a photo she took on her television during the climactic ending to The Bachelor.

The story goes that Maurice was watching The Bachelor and decided to record an image she saw. The phone immediately stopped working, obviously the work of divine intervention, but restarted the next day to reveal to her that her faith had been rewarded. Jesus Christ, in all of his distorted glory, appeared before her over the image she took.

Check out the original report here and see for yourself:

This isn’t the first time Jesus has been spotted. He and his posse appear on everything they can possibly be burnt or impressed into. Take for example the man who found Jesus on a stripped wall or the woman who found the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast.

Just a quick look on YouTube for “Jesus Sightings” returns more results than searching for “UFO Sightings.” Obviously, Jesus Christ is more popular than extraterrestrials.

Buzzfeed has a collection of the most famous Jesus sightings from around the world. My personal favorite is the Cheeto. I’m glad the King of Kings likes my favorite snack enough to become one himself. I’m sure it was extra delicious.

I guess this is all to say that Harold Camping wasn’t so much wrong about the date of the Rapture, it was that Jesus was too busy making cameo appearances in Cheetos and TVs that he forget his own show.

Where do you think Jesus is going to show up next? Have you see the Son of Man show up anywhere recently? Let us know in the comments.

  • Barbara Walters Thinks The Bachelor Degrades Women and is Offended by Ben’s Haircut

Barbara Walters dreaded the thought of having to go on the View The day after California winemaker Ben Flajnik, 29, proposed to bad girl model Courtney Robetson, 28 on The Bachelor. She said she had no interest in seeing another couple degrade marriage by vowing to be together forever in front of a global audience. She claimed to have lost an hour of sleep over the upcoming topic.

The esteemed journalist was asked by co-hosts why she didn’t care for the show and she pointed out that “… The Bachelor has been on for 10 years. Not a single Bachelor has married the woman he chose in the finale” and said the show was a “crock.” This took some courage considering that The Bachelor is a show on ABC, the network she works for.

Barbara even snapped at her 34 year old co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, after Hasselbeck suggested that they watch the show together next time. Barbara responded by saying “I do not know how [your husband] Tim puts up with you.”

View co-host Sherri Shepherd thinks women continue to watch this show because they don’t actually want to be independent, they want to return to more traditional roles and win over their prince charming.

Barbara even jested at Bachelor Ben by saying he is “an ordinary guy with bad hair.”

I couldn’t agree more with Barbara on this point. When Ben proposed to Courtney on a windy mountain, his long straggly hair blew back and forth, covering his beady eyes.

I will even take this farther and say that he bears a striking resemblance to one of the cavemen from the Geico commercials.

  • The Bachelor After Party: Ashley and J.P. Give Fans an Update on Relationship

The Bachelor After Party: Ashley and J.P. Give Fans an Update on Relationship

It has been a year since J.P. Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert got engaged on The Bachelorette and people are wondering when or if they will be exchanging vows. The couple updated everyone about the status of their relationship yesterday on The Bachelor After Party.

Ashley and her prince charming discussed their opinions about this year’s Bachelor where Ben decided to propose to Courtney on a mountain top. While Ashley thought that Ben would pick Courtney she said that the couple has a lot working against them.

Ahley said that returning home after becoming engaged to J.P. was a very difficult time for her because people were at times rather unsupportive. Her anxiety became so bad that she called it Bachelor Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and blogged about it: “Ashley said she’d often find herself going on Twitter, googling her name, and reading what everyone was thinking about her. The newly licensed dentist went on to say she knows what it’s like to have the worst moments, worst hair days, and most intoxicating moments on TV for the world to see.”

Her fiance responded by saying that he did not feel any strife after the show ended because they were too busy making love all day: “we didn’t leve the room.”

Ashley was very surprised by his straightforwardness and looked a little embarrassed but rolled with it.

J.P. and Ashley’s claim that the wedding is still on despite the criticism and ridicule that they have faced from family and viewers. Aside from the gossip, Ashley’s sister had grilled J.P. in a previously televised encounter; after J.P. proclaimed his love for Ashley, her tattooed sister looked annoyed and said that she was “still struggling over whether or [his romantic attachment] made sense all together.”

Jimmy Kimmel brought this issue up in August during an interview with the couple by half-jokingly insinuating that this might be a barrier to their nuptials. J.P. said that it was water under the bridge and that his sister-in-law to be has been sweet and supportive since they got back from the show.

During The Bachelor Reunion Party in Las Vegas Ashley stated that they had been brainstorming ideas about the wedding but haven’t been making any final plans at this point.

The couple is currently living together in New York City.

  • ‘Honest Bachelor’ Spoofs The Bachelor Season Finale

David Spade gives us the “Honest” Bachelor, a swear-laden rendition of “The Bachelor”. In this version, Ben Flajnik returns to another season of The Bachelor a little bitter and jaded from the events of the previous season.

He then proceeds to verbally abuse all the women in the room with language that would make a Comedy Central Roast look tame.
