  • ‘Walking Dead’ Fans Mourn the Loss of a Main Character [SPOILERS]

Head up–as the title indicates, there are spoilers in this article. If you haven’t watched the Too Far Gone episode yet, bookmark this page and turn back before it’s too late.

Fans of The Walking Dead have seen a lot of main characters killed off. In fact, former showrunner Glen Mazzara has constantly emphasized the fact that no one is safe. Nothing drove this point home more than seeing Rick’s wife, Lori, die. Despite this, it still came as quite a punch in the stomach when we saw the Governor decapitate Hershel in the mid-series finale that aired on Sunday.

Remember how a lot of Walking Dead fans cheered when Andrea was finally killed off? Well, Hershel’s death hasn’t quite received the same reception. While it wasn’t a surprise to see people express their shock, grief and outrage right after one of the best characters on the show was killed in such a gruesome manner, it’s now three days later and people are still upset.

Even though it’s just TV, it’s easy to see how this harrowing image would stick with you:

TV Line did an interview with the man behind Hershel, Scott Wilson, who says he wouldn’t want to be the man who plays the Governor right now. “I would assume that there will be some kind of audience response to Hershel losing his head. I would not want to be David Morrissey.” Yeah, that sounds about right from the hundreds of Tweets that have been posted blasting the Governor for killing Hershel.

In case any of you Walking Dead fans are wondering what happened to Hershel’s head after the Governor finished hacking it off his body with Michonne’s katana, Wilson says he has it. “I do have [the head], which is very nice. I have it hidden in my closet,” Wilson said.

While it’s nice to see Wilson alive and well with his head fully intact, somehow the image of Hershel’s head rolling around in a closet probably won’t help the fans that are still grieving.

  • Evangeline Lilly Attends ‘Hobbit’ Premiere

    Evangeline Lilly Attends ‘Hobbit’ Premiere

Actress Evangeline Lilly joined Orlando Bloom and LOTR franchise director Peter Jackson at the Hollywood premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, at the Dolby Theater on Monday.

Also on hand for the screening were Hobbit actors Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch and Richard Armitage, who play Bilbo Baggins, Smaug and Thorin Oakenshield respectively.

Lilly was cast as an elf named Tauriel, a character created by Peter Jackson and writing partner Fran Walsh. Tauriel is a Silvan Elf whose name means “Daughter of Mirkwood”, and is the head of the Mirkwood Elven guard. Jackson adapted the original Tolkien text to include another female character to offset a cast dominated by males.

Also attending the premiere were actors Luke Evans (Bard the Bowman), Aidan Turner (Kili), Dean O’Gorman (Fili), Stephen Fry (Master of Laketown), William Kircher (Bifur), Manu Bennett (Azog), John Bell (Bain) and Ryan Gage (Alfrid). ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ opens nationwide on December 13th.

Lilly, so far best known as Kate “Freckles” Austen on ABC’s Lost, initially expressed apprehension over the reaction of Tolkien purists toward “Tauriel,” but said that the creation of the character was justified – “I believe she is authentic, because Tolkien refers to The Woodland Elves, he just doesn’t talk about who they are specifically. [Peter and Fran] know that world so well. They’re not going to create a character that is not true to Tolkien’s world.”

As it happens, long before joining the cast of one of the biggest franchises in film history, Lilly was peddling the singles chat service Livelinks:

  • Netflix’s ‘Turbo FAST’ Gets A Trailer, Release Date

Back in February, Netflix announced a partnership with DreamWorks Animation that would see the release of the original kids series Turbo FAST in this month. The show is based on the character from the movie Turbo.

Netflix has now released a trailer for the series, and revealed that the first five episodes will debut on Christmas Eve. More episodes will be released in the coming months.

    The description is as follows:

The first-ever Netflix original series for kids, DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST is a high-octane ensemble comedy that amps everything up to the extreme as Turbo and his adrenaline-fueled crew go on daring new adventures, race on the coolest tracks, and take on the craziest challengers. No matter how wild things get, these snails always have each other’s backs.

Stunt Team members — Turbo, Whiplash, Burn, Smoove Move, White Shadow, Skidmark and Chet — already have legions of fans from their appearance in the DreamWorks Animation’s feature film Turbo, which opened in theaters around the globe earlier this year and has already grossed more than $280 million. The all new television show digs deeper into the crazy personalities of the snail crew and features 2D design to create a stylized look reflective of the Stunt Team’s fast-paced, souped-up world. Reid Scott from Veep lends his voice to the show’s title character, and comedian Ken Jeong reprises his role from the feature film as the fan-favorite manicurist turned home shopping icon Kim Ly.

Netflix dubs the show its first original series for kids (Mako Mermaids doesn’t count, apparently).

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg had this to say: “We’ve long said that Netflix is revolutionizing the television industry and now we are thrilled to officially be a part of it. They have been fantastic partners whose vision has given our characters an amazing platform to be enjoyed by families around the world.”

“We are excited to be working with the gifted storytellers at DreamWorks Animation to deliver Turbo FAST, our first original kids series, to families around the world this holiday season,” added Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos. With new episodes on their way in the coming months, kids will have something to look forward to all year.”

Back in the summer, Netflix and DreamWorks expanded their relationship in Netflix’s biggest deal for original content to date. It includes over 300 hours of new, original content, and will see shows based on characters from Shrek, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon.

Turbo Fast will be available at 12:01 PST on December 24th in all Netflix territories. In the meantime, you can check out the show’s page.

  • Walking Dead Recap: The Governor vs. Rick [SPOILERS]

Walking Dead Recap: The Governor vs. Rick [SPOILERS]

This article contains spoilers from last night’s episode of The Walking Dead. So, if you haven’t watched the latest Walking Dead episodes saved to your DVR, you might want to save this article for later. Otherwise, prepare to find out exactly what went down after we saw the Governor set his sights on Michonne last week.

To say that chaos ensued in last night’s episode of The Walking Dead–which also served as the mid-series finale–would be putting things lightly. Among other things, this tear-jerking episode saw us lose a fan favorite character and it appears that Rick’s baby, Judith, was eaten by a walker.

Last week’s episode ended with the Governor aiming his gun at Michonne. Considering their past, it seems pretty safe to assume that he’s going to pull the trigger, right? Wrong. Instead, we find that the Governor decided to take Michonne and Hershel hostage. As he explained his plan to his camp, the Governor makes it clear that he wants to trade Michonne and Hershel for the prison with no bloodshed. The Governor arrives at the prison with his group and has Rick come down and explains the same thing to him.

Rick tries to talk the Governor into letting their two groups live at the prison peacefully, but the Governor refuses to negotiate. “I have a tank, and I’m letting you walk away from here. What else is there to talk about?” the Governor told Rick.

Instead of backing down and having everyone pack up, Rick puts his foot down and delivers a speech: “Now you put down your weapons, walk through those gates and you’re one of us,” Rick said. “Everyone’s alive. Everyone’s made it this far. We’ve all done worse kinds of things just to stay alive. We can still come back. We’re not too far gone. I know we all can change.”

So, how does the Governor respond? After Rick’s promise to let bygones be bygones, he uses Michonne’s katana to slice Hershel’s neck (he later hacks his head off). While a lot of us probably figured Hershel’s number would be up soon, seeing him go out in this manner proved to be a little too much for some fans:

After the Governor’s girlfriend Lilly shows up with Meghan’s body (she was bitten by a zombie), he tells his group to kill everyone and all hell breaks loose. Some of the group is able to escape on the bus while others stay behind to fight.

While all of this is going on, we finally get to see the Governor and Rick one-on-one. Rick attacks the Governor and gets in a few good licks, but the Governor is able to get the upper hand and it appears that he is about to end Rick with we see a familiar katana rammed through his chest (fist pump!). Michonne is on the other end of that katana, of course. She leaves the Governor gasping for breath, and Lilly eventually steps up and finishes him off with a bullet to the head.

The fans weighed in on the Governor’s death on Twitter:

Rick and Carl hook up at the end in yet another emotional moment and as they try to find the baby, they spot her car seat. Unfortunately, Judith isn’t inside and the seat is stained with blood. Rick and Carl seem to assume the worst–that she is dead. It’s possible that someone else that was injured got Judith out, since the harness on her car seat that previously held her in place was unbuckled, something a zombie likely wouldn’t be capable of doing.

With the group split up and the prison destroyed, there’s no telling what will happen now, and we will have to wait until February 9, 2014 to find out.

  • Paul Crouch, Controversial TV Preacher, Dead at 79

Paul Crouch, the founder of the incredibly successful Trinity Broadcasting Network died yesterday at the age of 79, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was reportedly admitted to a Dallas area hospital for heart issues in October while on a visit to the Colleyville, Texas TBN facilities. He was later taken back to his hometown of Orange, California for further treatment.

Crouch moved to California in the early 60’s to mangage the media unit of the Assembies of God. It was there that he claimed a message from God provoked him to start buying up small television stations, cable stations, and satellites. He transformed the smattering of small units into enough religious content to run a 24-hour cable network, Trinity Broadcasting Network.

TBN went on to become “the country’s most-watched religious network,” according to J. Gordon Melton and Jon R. Stone in their book “Prime-Time Religion: An Encyclopedia of Religious Broadcasting”, by the mid 80’s. The franchise accrued 84 satellite channels and more than 18,000 television and cable affiliates as well as a Christian amusement park in Orlando. It also quickly became the center of controversy after Crouch’s business practices came under fire.

He and his pink-haired wife were famous for promoting the “Gospel of Prosperity”, wherein Crouch encouraged people to give to God’s work, and help move God’s message with a sizeable contribution. In return, he promised God would “bless” contributors with help in their own pocketbooks. This message became questionable when Crouch and his wife began to lead an obviously extravagant lifestyle.

Critics of this so-called Prosperity gospel complained that his jets, mansions and expense-account meals were paid by tax-exempt donations from TBN’s legion of “prayer partners”, not by any earnings that Crouch, himself, had accrued. According to Fox News, last year the couple’s granddaughter filed a lawsuit claiming that $50 million dollars had been misappropriated for private jets and 13 mansions around the US for the Crouch’s private use.

The Crouches and their attorney dismissed the allegations. They said those things were used in line with spreading God’s message. While this mess has yet to be resolved, the network continues to mourn the loss of it’s founding father with the words, “We mourn Paul’s passing and he will be greatly missed. But we know, as the old hymn reminds us, soon enough we will see him again in that great `meeting in the air.”

  • ‘Glee’ Season 4 Gets A Netflix Release Date

‘Glee’ Season 4 Gets A Netflix Release Date

We’ve just learned that Netflix will be adding Glee: Season 4 to its streaming catalog on Saturday, November 30th.

Netflix first reached a deal with Fox to stream the first season of Glee back in 2011, and since added subsequent seasons. The first three are currently available for streaming.

The fourth season is currently available on Netflix via its DVD-by-mail service.

The show is currently midway through its fifth season, with the seventh episode scheduled to air on Thursday.

Glee fans might also be interested to know that Dianna Agron appears in a new video from The Killers.

  • ‘American Horror Story’ Season 2 (Asylum) Will Hit Netflix In December

Update: We have an actual release date.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the Netflix release of last year’s season of American Horror Story. The second season of the popular FX series, titled Asylum, has been available on Netflix through its DVD service for over a month, but it has yet to join the first season in the streaming catalog.

We had speculated that Netflix might make Asylum available for streaming this month, as the first season became available in November of 2012. Netflix added last year’s season of Sons of Anarchy (another FX show) in October, a year after it added the previous season, so it seemed reasonable to expect similar treatment of American Horror Story.

It turns out that it’s taking a little longer with AHS. We’ve learned from a source familiar with Netflix’s release schedule that the season will be available sometime in December. We don’t know the specific date, but keep an eye on our weekly “New on Netflix” column over the coming weeks, as we’ll be sure to let you know when we do.

The third season, Coven, is already eight episodes in (the eighth debuts tonight), and has gotten a lot of people talking. I would imagine Netflix subscribers will be looking at another year before they get to watch that. Of course, if you can always find the episodes available for purchase online.

  • ‘Lilyhammer’ Season 2: Netflix Shares New Clip

Earlier this month, Netflix released the official trailer for the upcoming second season of its first original series, Lilyhammer. The company also announced the release date as December 13th. Now would be a good time to get caught up with the first season if you haven’t already done so.

Netflix has now uploaded a new clip from Season 2:

The second season debuted on Norwegian channel NRK recently, and got pretty good reviews. The Hollywood Reporter said this of the plot:

A new plotline has the British mob trying to muscle in on Frank’s burgeoning crime operation, a twist that allows Lilyhammer the opportunity to pack season two with British guest stars, including Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones), Tony Pitts (Sherlock), Alan Ford (Snatch), Amy Beth Hayes (Doctor Who) and Amit Shah (The Infidel).

We know Frank (Steven Van Zandt) gets to deal with a baby throughout the season.

  • Jennifer Love Hewitt Has a Baby Girl

Jennifer Love Hewitt Has a Baby Girl

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, 34, gave birth to a baby girl named Autumn James on Tuesday, November 26th. Love Hewitt’s publicist also revealed to US Weekly that The Client List star also recently married the baby’s father, costar Brian Hallisay, 35, in a quiet ceremony.

“Jennifer Love Hewitt and her husband Brian Hallisay are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter,” Love Hewitt’s representative says, and a source adds that the couple “got married recently in private.”

Back in June, Love Hewitt announced that she was expecting, but wanted to keep the gender of the baby a surprise. “You sort of have these pictures in your mind of what (the baby’s going to look like),” Love Hewitt said. “I’m really excited to see what he or she is going to look like!”

Below is a clip of the new parents on The Client List:

The actress, producer, author, television director and singer-songwriter got her start on the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. Her first major role was as the character Sarah Reeves Merrin, on Fox’s Party of Five, from 1995-2000. Love Hewitt also starred as Melinda Gordon on CBS’ Ghost Whisperer from 2005-2010, and is currently featured on Lifetime’s The Client List, which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination. The Client List was cancelled this year.

On her pregnancy, Love Hewitt commented, “I think most people, when they’re getting ready to be a mom, they go, ‘Oh my gosh, I have to have all of the answers right now,’ but every kid is different, every parent is different and every child and parent relationship is different, so you just sort of have to wait until you’re in it and do the best that you can to try to be Zen in the middle of it all.”

Before working on The Client List together, Love Hewitt and Hallisay were both featured on the defunct NBC series Love Bites. The couple began dating in 2012.

  • Could Family Guy Brian’s Death Spell The End?

Brian, the Griffin family dog, was killed off in the recent “Life of Brian” episode of Family Guy. The producers had warned fans that a character was going to die. But for some reason, no one was expecting any of the Griffins.

Well, maybe Meg Griffin, as her being hated is such a long running joke that death seemed plausible for the teen.

However, having Brian killed off seems to have struck a nerve with fans and non-fans alike. There is a petition going around demanding that the dog be brought back to life. Bringing the character back from the dead wouldn’t exactly be breaking with tradition. Peter Griffin engaged with an oversized chicken in a seemingly to-the-death melee. Peter would emerge bloodied and victorious and the bird would inexplicably rise from the dead to continue their fight throughout the seasons. Even neighbor Joe Swanson was allowed to have his son return from the dead in a rather convoluted manner during the episode, “Thanksgiving”.

Despite this, it seems that the show executives are digging their heels in. They even introduced a new dog named Vinny (voiced by Tony Sirico of “the Sopranos”) soon after Brian’s demise. The move to kill off and then replace Brian sounds like a permanent arrangement.

Some are already whispering that the move could have negative consequences for the series. But is this premature? After all, the show has survived the loss of characters before. While the chemistry between Brian and Stewie may be missed, as well as their song and dance routines, Brian is merely one character in a sea of unique and memorable Family Guy characters. There are still several core characters who remain to carry the show without his help.

Only time will tell whether or not the move to kill Brian will have major repercussions for the show. If it does, expect a completely random and hilariously inexplicable return of the beloved pooch.

  • Carrie Ann Inaba Talks DWTS Finale

The question on everyone’s mind…who will be the winner of the 17th season of Dancing with the Stars? The first part of the two-part finale aired last night on ABC. The second part will air tonight and the winner will be announced.

During a recent interview with TVGuide.com, Carrie Ann Inaba talked about the final four contestants and described the competition as having “two completely different types of competitors.”

“I think we have two completely different types of competitors,” Inaba said. “We have Corbin and Amber, who are in one class. And then you have Jack and Bill, who are totally of a different class. I think it’s really interesting the way the fans have voted. I think people are really a fan of the whole idea of somebody who doesn’t know how to dance really making the transformation, which is what Jack and Bill fall into.”

Inaba also talked about the person to beat on the show…Bill Engvall. Throughout the season, Engvall’s fans voted to keep him in the competition, even when he received lower scores than the other dancers.

“I think we’ve gone back to what the heart of the show is, which makes me really proud of our viewers,” Inaba says. “They remember what the show was about when we first started, which was taking people who didn’t know dancing and transforming them into dancers. I think that it’s really nice to see people voting that way. … People like watching people that they can relate to [and] they’re rewarding somebody who’s just going for it, gung ho, not afraid, and sometimes making a fool out of himself. But he’s having a great time and he’s doing it the way it should be done, which is all in good spirits and all in good fun.”

However, last night just was not Engvall’s night, as he left the competition, leaving only three to fight for the trophy. The final three contestants were revealed and are Jack Osbourne, Amber Riley, and Corbin Bleu.

“Well, it just goes to prove to me that there is a God because I couldn’t make one more dance,” said Bill. “I can’t tell you how proud I am of Emma. She’s like my second daughter now — we just had a blast.” He thanked the judges and then made a special point of thanking his wife, Gail, who was in the audience every week. “I will never forget this — and thanks to the fans who voted this long.”

Tune in to ABC tonight for the crowning of the new winner.

  • ‘Walking Dead’: Will the Governor Do It? [SPOILER]

‘Walking Dead’: Will the Governor Do It? [SPOILER]

If you’re not caught up on The Walking Dead yet, you might want to bookmark this page for later. Seriously. Spoilers (as the title indicates) are about to happen.

Now that the obligatory warning is out of the way, how about last night’s episode of The Walking Dead? This episode, like the one from the previous week, focused on the Governor. Last week we saw the Governor go from near death to what seemed to be redemption as he helped another family out and decided to stick with them. Those who figured that the good boy side of the Governor wouldn’t last wrong were quickly proven right last night.

Just about everyone who did a fist pump when we saw the Governor eyeing Rick Grimes’ prison camp a couple weeks ago is probably regretting that now. At least a little. In last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, we saw the Governor go from “family guy Brian” back to his ruthless Governor we all know and love (or hate). With this came murder, of course. And from the end of last night’s episode, it looks like Michonne’s number just might be up.

After the Governor killed off two of the new group’s leaders, Martinez and Pete, he works to make the camp safer and gets it running more smoothly. Then, we see the Governor outside of Rick’s prison while Rick and Carl are working in the garden. Just before the episode ends, the Governor spots Michonne and aims his gun at her. We didn’t see whether he pulled the trigger–that will have to wait until Sunday–but things aren’t looking good for our zombie slayer.

Here’s a clip of what we can expect next week’s episode to hold:

From the mid-season finale promo, which will air on December 1, it looks like we are finally getting the fight between the Governor and Rick that we wanted at the end of the third season. Obviously some folks will die, but who?

So, do fans of The Walking Dead think the Governor will kill Michonne next week? Add your comments below. Judging from some of the Twitter comments, it’s likely that people will riot–and by “riot,” we mean “start an online petition”–if Michonne is killed off.

  • ‘Family Guy’ Fans Mourn the Death of a Favorite Character [SPOILER]

Family Guy fans all over are disappointed to see one of their favorite characters killed off. Brian, the dog that talks and does pretty much everything else humans do, was killed during last night’s episode. While spoilers were leaked last week regarding Brian’s demise, it still came as quite a surprise to many to see a main character cut.

For those wanting to know why Brian was killed off, executive producer Steve Callaghan discussed the decision during an interview with E!. Callaghan said killing off Brian was a way to shake things up on the show.

“Well, this was an idea that got pitched in the writers room and it sort of caught fire, and we thought it could be a fun way to shake things up,” Callaghan said. “As soon as this idea came up, we started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters.”

If you’re wondering why Brian got killed off instead of one of the kids, Callaghan has an answer for that, too. “As much as we love Brian, and as much as everyone loves their pets, we felt it would be more traumatic to lose one of the kids.” Needless to say, there are probably a few fans who would have rather seen Chris get killed off than Brian.

    Watch Brian’s death scene below.

And, just like with anything else that happens that people are unhappy with, there is now a petition on Change.org to bring back Brian. So far, the petition has garnered more than 2,000 signatures.

The following was posted on the Family Guy Twitter page following last night’s episode:

If you’re a fan of Family Guy, what did you think about Brian being killed? Add your comments below. As you can see from the Twitter comments, quite a few people were left disheartened with the decision.

  • Ariana Grande Wows AMAs | Gives Quickest Speech Ever

You may be wondering who was that fresh-faced singer who skittered onto the stage in the sparkling long dress to accept the Best New Artist award tonight at the American Music Awards. The answer is Ariana Grande, a 20-year-old with a voice far bigger than her 5’0 stature.

During her acceptance speech (that she pulled out of her bra), she valiantly attempted to thank everyone that she could in 10 seconds, and Nickelodeon was one of those named. You may remember her as Cat Valentine in the network’s show Victorious that centered around a performing arts school. The show released several soundtracks and music videos performed by the Victorious cast, and performances often found their way into an episode.

Tonight, however, Grande made a giant impression at the AMAs with a performance that included an acappella rendition of her song The Wayand closed with a Motown rendition of Tattooed Heart that brought even Lady Gaga to her feet.

There will be more opportunities to see Ariana Grande in the upcoming months; she will be touring for the remainder of this year.

  • Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Is Cause for Celebration

Doctor Who has crossed a unique milestone. The show is based around a human-lookalike alien (apart from the two hearts and ridiculously long lifespan) who has the capabilities to travel through time and space. Ironically, the show itself has traveled through time and space, in a manner of speaking, by captivated fans for fifty years. The show first aired on November 23, 1963, through the BBC, yet still garners a large following.

In honor of the 50th anniversary, the show is releasing tributes including a simulcast titled, The Day of the Doctor, that will air in 75 countries exactly fifty years, to-the-day, from the original broadcast. Those eager to see the show, should tune into BBC America at 11:50 a.m. PST on the 23rd. In addition, a 50th anniversary special is set for release in select theaters. Fans have been giving interviews to discuss their enthusiasm as well as posting comments through Twitter.

Doctor Who had 26 successful seasons from 1963 to 1989 before the 2005 reboot. There was even a movie released in 1996. The alien who originates from the planet Gallifrey is central to the show’s plot, however multiple actors can portray the fascinating character due to the alien’s power to regenerate. The alien is called by his number placement in the regeneration sequence instead of using a stereotypical name, since he is an alien, after all. Traveling into the vastness of time and space requires a unique mode of transportation. The alien uses the “Time And Relative Dimension In Space” (TARDIS), which is a blue telephone box — again, what else should an alien be expected to use for traveling? — that surprisingly has more travel space than your typical phone booth.

  • John Krasinski Is The Subject Of A Jimmy Kimmel Prank [Video]

Jimmy Kimmel has never hesitated to pull a good prank, and this time, John Krasinski has become the victim. The talk show host pulled an epic prank on Krasinksi and Emily Blunt, by turning their house into a winter wonderland.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt just happen to be neighbors to Jimmy Kimmel, and as a result, they have fallen victim to a Jimmy Kimmel prank. The ultimate prank occurred during the November 20th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and it seems that it is a tradition of his to vandalize his neighbor’s home.

Several years ago, the celebrity couple pulled a prank on Kimmel after he made the mistake of giving him their key, and ever since then, he has worked hard to get them back. This year, he has elevated the game even higher.

He talked about the prank that they had pulled on him, and then explained that he had to get them back, sharing stories from his previous pranks.

He wanted to do all that he could to make an example of John Krasinski this year, and after this year’s prank, it may be safe to say that he has finally gotten him back.

This year, Kimmel essentially turned his house into a Christmas tree with decorations everywhere, saying on the show that “While John was at work we brought in trains and trees and candy canes. We wrapped more than 200 fake gifts. We covered the threes with bows and lights and snowflakes. We brought in giant toy soldier soldiers, fake snow and ornaments. We wrapped the doors, we wrapped the windows—we gift-wrapped every inch of the house.”

John Krasinski, as the former star of The Office, and several comedy movies, certainly knows how to take a joke, and played it off very well.

After such an elaborate scheme, Krasinski does not think it is possible to get Kimmel back, saying “You know what the worst part is, I’ll never get him back for something like this. I don’t have enough money to do something like this.”

John Krasinski also sent a message to the host from his tablet saying that he did not knowi t was him. In an ongoing battle out of neighborly friendship, Krasinski also told Kimmel that he loved him, and hate him. That last part is simply a joke of course, and their comedic antics have gone viral for everyone to see.

  • Twitter Ads Can Now Target TV Conversations

In May, Twitter introduced TV ad targeting in beta, and then made it generally available in the U.S. in July.

On Thursday, Twitter announced an expansion of its TV targeting suite with the addition of TV conversation targeting, which it is making available to all advertisers in the U.S. and U.K. right off the bat. The feature is supposed to make it easy for networks and brands to connect with Twitter users who are already engaged with TV.

Twitter revenue product manager Oliver Young explains, “The way TV conversation targeting works is simple: through our conversation mapping technology, networks and brands can promote Tweets to users who engage with specific shows, whether or not a brand is running a spot in the program. Now advertisers can easily reach Twitter users exposed to integrations, sponsorships, and other innovative TV tie-ins for an additional touch point or message expansion.”

Twitter will roll out the new targeting capability in Brazil, Canada, France and Spain over the next few weeks. More countries will follow.

It’s surely no coincidence that Twitter just updated its mobile apps to surface Trending television content.

Young says, “We believe Twitter and TV are highly complementary, and we’re working hard to make the Twitter x TV experience better for users, networks, and advertisers alike. As we design products and experiences, we frame our work around questions like: How can we make Twitter more engaging for consumers as they interact with TV? How can we help drive more TV discovery and consumption for broadcasters? How do TV and Twitter campaigns affect consumer attitudes, awareness, purchase intent — and actual sales? Do Promoted Tweets move consumer dollars, top-line revenue, and bottom-line results?”

According to Twitter, who has been running tests with Nielsen and MarketShare Partners, when TV ads are paired with Twitter paid media, both TV commercials and Promoted Tweets have shown 95% stronger message association, 58% higher purchase intent, 8-16% more sales and 36% lower customer acquisition costs.

  • Frank Darabont Says AMC Broke His Heart

Frank Darabont Says AMC Broke His Heart

Since the debut of “The Walking Dead”, fans have tuned in with fervor, quickly making it one of the most successful and popular shows on television. The special effects coupled with storylines that grab at the heart have created die-hard fans…but you won’t count former showrunner Frank Darabont among them.

Darabont, who helped launch the show in 2010, was fired the following year amid talk of budget cuts and left with a lot of bad blood between himself and AMC. Now, he says, he can’t even watch the show.

“No more than I would go to the wedding of somebody who broke my heart and left me for the Pilates instructor. One does become very emotionally attached to the things that one does. I get tremendously invested. Why would I do that? Absolutely not, I won’t,” he said. “There’s a deep commitment and emotional investment that happens when you create something that is very near and dear to you, and when that is torn asunder by sociopaths who don’t give a s— about your feelings or the feelings of your cast and crew because they have their own reasons to screw everybody, that doesn’t feel good.”

Now, the “Shawshank Redemption” director is working on “Mob City” for TNT and says he’s happy where he is. The series debuts on December 4 and will star former Walking Dead actors Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn.

“[TNT chief] Michael Wright has a tremendous reputation for running a filmmaker-friendly ship and did a lot to set my mind at ease. He made it known it would be a friendly and more supportive place,” Darabont said.

Here’s the description for the show:

    Ginnifer Goodwin Expecting First Child

Exciting news! Ginnifer Goodwin and her fiancé, Josh Dallas, are expecting their first child together. Not only did her rep confirm the news to PEOPLE, Goodwin and Dallas also took to Twitter to make the announcement official.

Goodwin and Dallas met on the set of the popular television show, “Once Upon A Time”, where they play characters, Snow White and Prince Charming. They first went public with their off-screen romance in April 2012, but it wasn’t until October that they confirmed their engagement. Shortly after, the couple made a statement to PEOPLE saying, “We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can’t wait to celebrate with our friends and family, including our second family at Once Upon a Time.”

Goodwin voiced her desire to have children, during her previous engagement to Joey Kern, in 2010. “I want three or five children, but I need a bigger house or a smaller closet. I’m 32, so I’m already thinking about that. If it happened right now, I would absolutely have a baby.” She added, “The only issue I have with aging is nothing to do with my career. It’s that I want to have a lot of kids before I’m physically unable to do so.”

Despite her relationship with Kern ending, she still said she wanted kids and excited to share the news that she finally has a “bun in the oven”. It looks as though that is all we will know for now since the couple has been clear that they are not sharing the gender or the baby’s due date anytime soon.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Hopefully they will live happily ever after!

  • Taraji Henson: Shocking ‘Person of Interest’ Episode

Warning: Spoiler Alert for fans of the hit television show, Person of Interest, unless already up-to-date on episodes.

Taraji P. Henson has brought a raw depth to her superhero of a cop character, Joss Carter, on the CBS drama, Person of Interest. Fans have followed the character for two and a half seasons; however, unfortunately this is about to change. It is with heavy hearts that fans watched the most recent show where Carter died in action performing her job as well as being self-sacrificing in the process.

When questioned by Entertainment Weekly about the process for filming the last scene, Taraji Henson responded candidly. “The mood on set was bittersweet, even with the crew. We laugh and we joke, but at the end of the laughs, it was a sigh. I was trying to keep the spirits up, so all night I was cracking jokes and not hugging and getting too emotional with everyone,” Henson said.

Henson was not completely shocked to hear of her character’s demise, and explained the expectations she had when initially signing on for the role. “I always knew that we would have a beginning, a middle and an end. You don’t tell the audience “Hey, she’s not gonna last!” because that’s the whole surprise element, but that’s what’s so innovative about the show and that’s why I joined. We always knew we would do two, maybe three seasons,” she said.

Fans have been noticeably upset at the loss for the show, and have taken time to share their views on Twitter.

Henson explained her personal obligations for exiting the show when interviewed by TV Guide. “I like to leave people wanting more. I don’t like to be settled. I don’t think I’m at a place in my life where I can be on a television show for seven years. Movies are still calling me. At my age, that’s a lot because once that movie phone stops ringing, that’s it,” Henson said.
