Blake Shelton Calls Gwen Stefani “Hot” as She Mentors His Team on “The Voice”

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are beyond adorable together, and that was certainly true on Monday night when Gwen served as Blake’s team’s adviser on The Voice.

Gwen’s “cowboy” introduced her as “the great Gwen Stefani” to the members of Team Blake as they arrived to rehearse for the battle rounds.

“Blake wanted to bring in an expert to help you guys,” Gwen Stefani told the Team Blake members. “So [he] called me.”

“Also, she’s hot,” Blake Shelton added.

Earlier on Monday, Blake Shelton hung out with Gwen Stefani’s son Apollo. Gwen and Blake often spend time together with her boys when they’re not with their dad.

Fans would no doubt love to see Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani take their relationship to the next step.

Do you think the Team Blake coach and the “Make Me Like You” singer will take the necessary steps to make their relationship a permanent one?

  • Blake Shelton Enlists Meghan Trainor as Advisor on ‘The Voice’

Blake Shelton has enlisted the help of ‘All About That Bass‘ singer Meghan Trainor, as his celebrity advisor on The Voice this season.

The Voice’s Battle Rounds started Monday night, with Meghan Trainor offering her advice to Blake Shelton’s team members. She was moved to tears when contestants Brian Johnson and Joshua Davis battled it out, singing Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.’

Trainor said she lost a friend recently, and that the song really touched her heart.

“Some of the most exciting things that’s happened for me in recent times is seeing artists that I’ve worked with on this show have some success, whether it’s getting a record deal, whether it’s winning an award,” Blake Shelton says of his return for yet another season. “Whatever it is, being nominated for awards those are the things that keep me coming back here as a coach on The Voice.”

In past seasons of The Voice, Blake’s team mentors have included Kelly Clarkson, the Band Perry, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Cher, and Michael Buble.

Meghan Trainor appeared on the last season of The Voice, singing her hit song ‘Lips Are Movin’.’ Fans will no doubt love it if she performs one of her songs while serving as a mentor this season, too.

Blake Shelton has won four seasons of The Voice to date. Do you think having Meghan Trainor as his celebrity advisor this season might help Team Blake score its fifth win?

  • ‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

‘The Voice’ Winner: Were You Surprised?

The Voice winner was crowned on Tuesday night with some fans no doubt in shock over who it turned out to be. Do note that if you haven’t yet watched Tuesday night’s episode via your DVR on a service like On Demand that the following content contains a spoiler.

Many fans believed Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie was a shoe-in for the title of The Voice. After all, she was the singer whose initial claim to fame was that of a YouTube sensation. It was highly anticipated that her fan base would allow her the necessary number of votes to surpass both Team Blake’s Jake Worthington and Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman. Clearly that was not the case on Tuesday night, however, as Christina Grimmie wound up the third place singer of the three finalists.

At that point many viewers were excited–not because Christina Grimmie wasn’t crowned The Voice–but because it was a complete toss up at that point as to which of the remaining gentlemen would win the competition.

Before the spoiler, let’s briefly recap the entire finale. The performances were spectacular, with all three finalists bringing back contestants from earlier in this season’s show. Big name performances included Tim McGraw, Ed Sheeran, Alabama, Robin Thicke, Coldplay, and more. Last season’s winner of The Voice–Tessanne Chin–also sang, belting out a tune in her sultry, strong voice that made her last season’s clear frontrunner long before she won the title.

Even though Christina Grimmie didn’t win the title of The Voice, she went on stage Tuesday night as a huge winner just the same. Among the high points of the early moments of the show was one in which Adam Levine told her he wanted to sign her to his own record label. She was shown backstage listening to his announcement.

Jake Worthington won the hearts of Americans for the umpteenth time during this season of The Voice when he announced he was going to give his Kia–a gift to the three finalists of The Voice–to his grandmother.

“Since she bought my first vehicle, this is my chance to give back to her,” he told Carson Daly.

So who is The Voice winner? It’s Josh Kaufman. His bluesy ballads and raspy falsettos won over fans enough to crown him The Voice winner. Congratulations to Josh and to Team Usher. For once in the history of The Voice, The Voice winner isn’t attached to Team Adam or Team Blake. Usher had fun sharing that fact with his Twitter followers.

Josh Kaufman has been rendered almost speechless so far.

Are you surprised that Josh Kaufman is The Voice winner? Were you among those who truly believed Christina Grimmie had the title hands down?

  • The Voice: The Remaining Six Perform

The Voice: The Remaining Six Perform

    “Oh em gee!”

On Monday night, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green sat in their oversized judges seats and offered their opinions to the six remaining participants on The Voice.

According to ABC News, the singers each performed two songs: a coach’s pick and a special dedication they chose themselves.

Tessanne Chin was one of three Team Adam artists to take the stage. She dedicated a rendition of Katy Perry’s new single, “Unconditionally,” to her mother and father. Blake called her a “world-class vocalist.”

Adam’s other performers included Will Champlin, who performed “A Change Is Gonna Come,” and dedicated the song his wife and their baby daughter, and James Wolpert, putting a folksy spin on The White Stripes’ “Fell in Love with a Girl,” which he dedicated to his father.

Cee Lo suggested that Will was “overly ambitious” at times while Adam praised his grit on the stage. James was also praised by Adam in the fact that his song was simple and different, even if he did mess up mid-song.

Jacquie Lee, of Team Christina, won brownie points with her coach by singing Christina’s “The Voice Within.” Christina said she appreciated that she took on such a big song and added that Jacquie has only scratched the surface of her talents.

Matthew Schuler, also of Team Christina, dedicated One Direction’s “Story of My Life,” to his family. His coach approved of the choice and said the “modulation” made it seem as if the heavens had opened up.

However, Adam Levine was not familiar with the chosen song, causing Blake Shelton to yell out, “One Direction! Oh em gee!”

“He didn’t know Nirvana, but he knew One Direction,” Christina Aguilera said of the country-based star.

NBC News reported that Christina and Adam also teased Blake when they asked how his his Thanksgiving went.

“Are you trying to say I gained some weight?” the CMA award-winner asked. “I gained some weight! Are you happy now?”

Christina revealed that she sent out an e-mail suggesting a Thanksgiving basketball among the coaches but Blake said he was busy.

“His response was, ‘I’m pooping,’” Christina said.

Blake’s solo teamster, Cole Vosbury, chose James Morrison’s “Better Man” with his first love in mind, though he’s no longer involved with her.

“If you don’t get her back now, something’s wrong,” Blake joked.

Cee Lo does not have any artists left in the competition.

Two of the six artists will be eliminated on the results show Tuesday night. It will air on NBC at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
