  • Wendy Williams Wows With 50-Pound Weight Loss, TV Host Unveils Her Secret

After a three-year transformation that allowed her to lose about 50 pounds, TV talk show host Wendy Williams has shared with her fans how she did it.

According to a report, the 51-year-old star shared what she did in order to change her looks and become more fit and healthy.

Williams revealed that instead of thinking of losing fat and weight, she changed her mindset that she’s doing this in order to fight heart disease.

In addition, the TV personality said that she does not “love food as much” as she did so in the past.

In the report, she was actually surprised that she managed to lose 50 pounds in three years, especially after engaging in all the “crazy diets” that she has been to.

Some of the dieting tips she shared in a Q&A video chat with her fans include cutting intake of meat, refined sugars and dairy. She also mentioned that she has not been eating after dark.

“Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much,” she shared.

Aside from taking out some of her bad habits, Williams has also reportedly learned good ones.

“I’ve picked up on other great habits like juicing,” she said.

The host has also began eating more nutritious foods like kale chips, and drinking coconut water instead of San Pellegrino soda, which she was reportedly addicted to in the past.

Moreover, Williams emphasized that trying to lose weight cannot be done overnight. The person should be patient enough and remember that “slow and steady is the name of the game.”

She has also engaged in physical activities such as gym workout, cardio exercises, and Pilates.

Before Wendy Williams decided to take dieting and fitness seriously, she has admitted that she had liposuction, tummy tuck, and even breast surgery in the past.

  • Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary With Holiday Party

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres have been married for 10 years as of December 1st, and the two will share their joy with an anniversary party later in the month. Will this be proof enough for the naysayers who thought Ellen and Portia were through? The two went through a rocky patch earlier in 2014, but appear to be doing well these days.

According to a report from RadarOnline, Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are closer than ever now.

“Ellen is in an insanely good mood lately,” a source tells them, and adds that she and Portia want to help spread their joy.

“They are holding a big holiday party at their new house and virtually everyone is invited!”

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres own several properties together, and it’s not yet certain at which ‘new house’ they will hold their ‘anniversary holiday bash.’ What is certain, however, is that the two appear so much more at ease and in love with each other than they did during their time of turmoil.

Portia shared a photo of her with Ellen via Twitter just a few days before their anniversary.

The Scandal star and the talk show host have no doubt had a very trying year. A celebration of their love during the holiday season might be just what everyone needs to look toward a happier future. When Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres kick off the New Year next month, may it be with a renewed outlook and an abundance of love.

Some speculate a baby may even be in the cards for the couple’s future. How do you think parenthood might behoove Ellen and Portia?

  • Bruce Jenner Gets Dissed By Wendy Williams, Questions His Sexuality

Talk show host Wendy Williams is getting flak yet again for making insensitive transgender-related comments—this time, over her comments regarding Bruce Jenner and his recent change in appearance. Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian and ex-spouse of Kris Jenner, became the subject of the “Hot Topics” segment in Wendy Williams’ talk show.

Williams zoned in on a recent picture of Jenner that showed the TV personality sporting dark pink nail polish on his neatly manicured fingers. Wendy Williams discussed the various changes that Jenner underwent in recent years. “He started by shaving down his Adam’s apple. Then we’ve seen him with a beautiful blowout. … You know, he seems to be going through something. But to add fuel to the fire, to celebrate his 65th birthday, he treated himself to a bright pink manicure”, the talk show host said.

A misquote from The Wrap made matters worse for Williams:

“Thank God he waited for his kids to grow up before making this transition or whatever it is he’s going through. Can you imagine how awful it would be for those kids if he showed up with a blowout, a shaved Adam’s apple, pink nail polish and smoking a cigarette at a PTA meeting? Could you imagine?”

The quote has since been corrected, but not before GLAAD President Sarah Kate Ellis issued a statement saying “To suggest that a person’s nail polish colour or hairstyle would inflict harm on their children is just ludicrous. What does inflict harm, however, is gross and invasive speculation about a person’s gender identity.”

This isn’t the first time that Williams has speculated on Jenner’s sexuality. In a previous episode, she teased Jenner by saying “Bruce Jenner is reportedly dating… a woman! And her name is Ron…da”.

She was referring to Jenner’s alleged relationship with Ronda Kamihira, who was Kris Jenner’s former assistant and confidant. The two reportedly began dating immediately right after Bruce and Kris’ divorce became public last September.

  • Jennifer Aniston: Why Is Being Her Friend A “Burden”?

In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, comedienne Chelsea Handler revealed what it was like to be the best friend of Friends star Jennifer Aniston. Among other things, Handler said that being besties with Aniston was “a burden.”

The former host of Chelsea Lately dished on her friendship with Aniston, saying that people are always trying to get information from her about the Meet The Millers actor. “Everywhere I go, people ask me about Jennifer Aniston’s wedding. And I tell her, ‘Being friends with you is a burden,’” said Handler.

Aniston is currently engaged to The Leftovers actor Justin Theroux, but the pair have not yet set a date for their wedding. Handler revealed how fielding questions from reporters is a responsibility that comes with being friends with Aniston.

“You think it’s hard to be friends with me? Do you know what it’s like to walk down a red carpet and [reporters] go ‘When are Jen and Justin getting married?’ like I’m in charge of that!” Handler said.

Despite Handler’s irritation with reporters who hound her for the littlest tidbits about Aniston, the 39-year-old talk show host assured her friends that their secrets were safe with her. Handler said that even if she did know about Aniston and Theroux’s wedding plans, she wouldn’t reveal them to the press.

“My friends who are really private, whether they’re famous or not, I won’t talk about them. I do more than a lot of them are comfortable with, but I always joke around,” said Handler. “If it was not a cool thing to do, I wouldn’t tell someone’s secrets. Everything’s got a play on it. It’s a joke.”

“I wouldn’t screw you over, I just wouldn’t do that,” continued Handler. “I’m not interested in private information. That’s when I go to myself, where there’s plenty of stuff to pick from.”

  • David Letterman Announces He Will Retire In 2015

He is the one that has been around the longest of the current late night talk show hosts, and after many years on the air, David Letterman will finally be calling it quits with CBS in 2015.

David Letterman has had his spot on The Late Show for the past 22 years, and is set to officially announce his retirement on the episode of the show that is set to air tonight. He has been on the air as a late night talk show host longer than anyone in TV history, and just passed the record set by Johnny Carson last year.

It is truly the end of an era for late night with the exit of Letterman, and it will be interesting to see who will come in to replace him. The schedule of late night talk shows already switched around a lot in the past year with Leno leaving The Tonight Show, and being replaced by Jimmy Fallon. Seth Myers took over for Fallon in his regular time.

David Letterman made his debut on The Late Show on August 3rd, 1993, and has outlasted several other talk hosts that have come and gone on other channels and time slots. He was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012, being hailed as “one of the most influential personalities in the history of television, entertaining an entire generation of late-night viewers with his unconventional wit and charm.”

Les Moonves, president and CEO of CBS Corporation, spoke about the situation when saying “There is only one David Letterman. His greatness will always be remembered here, and he will certainly sit among the pantheon of this business. On a personal note, it’s been a privilege to get to know Dave and to enjoy a terrific relationship. It’s going to be tough to say goodbye. Fortunately, we won’t have to do that for another year or so. Until then, we look forward to celebrating Dave’s remarkable show and incredible talents.”

A timetable for the closing of the show has not been figured out yet, but it has been decided that it will be done sometime in 2015. He will be turning 67 years old next week, and has enjoyed great success with his show over the years.

Prior to his 22 years with The Late Show, David Letterman got his start on Mary in 1978, which co-starred Mary Tyler Moore. Just a few months later, he appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson for the first time, where he would appear a total of 22 times, and become good friends with the legendary late night show.

He also hosted a couple shows before getting to the current incarnation of The Late Show, including The David Letterman Show and Late Night With David Letterman.

  • Chelsea Handler Plans To Leave E! Network, What’s Next?

While she may not be watched as much as someone like Jimmy Fallon or David Letterman, Chelsea Handler has had a popular talk show on the E! network for several years, but it will be coming to a close.

Chelsea Handler has nine months left on her contract, and will be headed elsewhere after the contract expires. Her show Chelsea Lately has been on the air for eight years now, and she continues to bring in a wide variety of celebrities for hilarious interviews.

In addition to her role as a talk show host, Handler has established herself as an author, comedian, and an actress. Having a job with radio, and/or a nightly or weekly late-night show are some of the possibilities that await her post-E! future.

Her manager Irving Azoff, told The Hollywood Reporter that “Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas.” Where do her fans think is the best place for her to end up?

Since her show is not on a basic channel, and instead airs on a cable channel like E!, her show has been bringing in roughly 572,000 viewers per night, which is also a decrease from her 839,000 viewers in 2010. However, Chelsea Handler still has a dedicated base of fans, and is also making roughly $9 million per year.

Throughout her years on the E! network, Chelsea Handler has attracted female audiences for the most part, especially when compared to other talk show hosts. She also has the youngest audience of any talk show host, with the exception of Conan O’Brien’s newest show that airs on TBS.

She has also showed her disgust for the network, and on a recent episode of Howard Stern’s radio show, she said that it was a “sad, sad, place to live.” She also mentioned that a network like Netflix might be a better suit for her, given her raunchy brand of humor.

Before her contract expires, Chelsea Handler already has some other things lined up. She will shoot her first stand-up special at the Harris Theater in Chicago in June, which will air on cable in October. Handler also has a new book called Uganda Be Kidding Me, which is her first book to be No.1 on the New York Times best-seller list for more than a week.

  • Wendy Williams Sobs: “My Son Doesn’t Like Me Anymore”

Wendy Williams became pretty emotional on her talk show Monday. The 49-year-old TV host opened up to the audience about her relationship with her 13-year-old son.

The topic that led to her emotional moment was about Madonna and a controversial Instagram photo she posted of her son.

On the caption of the picture Madonna wrote: “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn***a.”

Madonna’s use of the “n” word, of course, has been the talk of the town. Although she’s issued an apology via her Facebook Page it seems that this will yet again turn into a racial debate like any other episode where a celebrity has used the word; like Paula Deen for instance.

However, that is beside the point, so back to the weeping celebrity “gossiper.”

Instead of Williams actually addressing the debatable topic at hand, she turned around to view the photo projected behind her and immediately started tearing up.

“First of all, I want you to know, Rocco is 13 years old and Rocco is a real fan of his mother. What I discovered this weekend is that my son doesn’t like me anymore,” she said on the show.

She went on to explain how her son, Kevin, criticizes her “pissy” attitude. Yet, William clearly defends her own self by mentioning how he is a teenager going through the usual phase of puberty.

As she wiped away tears, Williams shared with her audience how her son and husband, Kevin Hunter, spend time together while she’s left out of their plans.

“He’s all into his father. You know how 13-year-olds are. I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart.”

The whole thing sounds a bit like jealousy, eh?

Nevertheless, William completely switches up her feelings towards being an outcast by speaking something positive about Kevin’s close relationship with his father.

“At this time, I can’t understand men who disappear from their kids’ lives,” she said. “Thank God he has his buddy and father.”

Williams even subtly mentioned to the audience that she doesn’t have her period, which could indicate that she is going through menopause. Well, that would DEFINITELY explain her little break down on national TV.

  • Julie Chen Badmouths ‘The View’s’ Jenny McCarthy

The rivalry between ‘The Talk’ and ‘The View’ got turned up a notch Wednesday when ‘Talk’ hosts Julie Chen and Sharon Osbourne appeared on ‘The Howard Stern Show’. When asked by Howard Stern if ABC made a mistake in hiring Jenny McCarthy, Chen flatly said that “The View” made a big mistake because “No one wants to hear Jenny McCarthy talk about the New York mayoral race or politics,”

    http://youtu.be/ZuaWQoUuwFY

The harsh criticism may have left some wondering why Julie Chen feels the need to diminish another woman in the media who has done her no harm. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why is Chen seemingly trying to give producers of “The View” reason to dismiss Jenny McCarthy from her job?

McCarthy joined ‘The View’ on Sept. 9. The 41-year-old single mother said she was grateful for the new job. Shortly after joining the show, McCarthy said,”This is the greatest show in the world. Thanks to the fans who supported me to get here. I hope I do you justice.”

Do the women on  ‘The Talk’  feel like they need to take jabs at ‘The View’ to boost their show’s ratings?

Recently, ‘The Talk’s’ 61-year-old co-host, Sharon Osbourne, flat out disrespected ‘The View’ when she said that except for Barbara Walters, the other ‘View’ host should “go f**k themselves.” She later realized that she embarrassed herself and had to apologize.

“I want to apologize to Jenny, Sherri and Whoopi, who are all accomplished, self-made women who have amazing careers. They have achieved so much. Please understand it was irreverent behavior and no disrespect meant.” said Osborne during an airing of  “The Talk”.

Ok, it was a rude statement, but it’s far from the worst thing that Sharon Osbourne has ever said or done on TV.

Julie Chen, however, who recently made news when she announced she had plastic surgery, continued to hack away at McCarthy and ‘The View’ on The Howard Stern Show. “What made ‘The View’ so popular and so good was that it was five different women from five different walks of life discussing politics.”  She continued by saying, “The View” simply “doesn’t know what it is now. What put them on the map and made them good and famous — they don’t do that anymore.”

However, Chen did soften her criticism of McCarthy with a few compliments.  “She’s beautiful, and funny, and talented, and smart,” Chen said of McCarthy. But were these compliments disingenuous? After all, when you admire and respect someone you don’t insinuate that they suck at their job.

What do you think? Is Jenny McCarthy bad for ‘The View” or is Julie Chen a hater?

  • Amy Robach Plans Her Return To Television

Amy Robach Plans Her Return To Television

Amy Robach was diagnosed with cancer recently, and was forced to leave her position as a host of Good Morning America.

It seems that her cancer has even spread since her fans last had an update, but the prognosis was good, and she is doing everything that she can in order to stay positive.

The Good Morning America talk show host was diagnosed with cancer, after receiving an on-air mammogram.

It was the first ever mammogram that had been done on the air, and the 40-year-old talk Amy Robach had no idea just how helpful it would be to her.

The procedure was intended to raise awareness about the disease, with the hope that viewers would want to go out and get tasted as well.

She is very lucky to be able to have caught it when she did, and the mammogram that she did simply as a television event may have saved her life. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, and undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, she plans to make a speedy return to the air on December 2nd.

Cancer survivor Robin Roberts was the one who convinced Robach to do the mammogram because it would help save lives, but she had no idea that it would be her own. She is happy about her decision to get the bilateral mastectomy, and said that it turned out to be the right course of action, because her doctor discovered a second tumor during the process.

While this is not a good sign, she has said that the prognosis is good, and she is certainly glad that it was discovered when it was. Amy Robach’s cancer has spread to her sentinel lymph node, causing her to need more treatments, however she will not let that have an effect on her work.

The ABC News talk show host has certainly been through a lot, but as she is doing everything to look at things in a positive light, she said “Physically and emotionally I have been through the ringer, but I am emerging on the other side so much stronger. I have a greater appreciation for life, for health and for how such simple acts of kindness can be so incredibly powerful.”

Amy Robach is excited to be able to get back to work, and thanks all of her fans and friends for the love and support that she has received since finding out about her cancer.

  • Oprah Winfrey Hosts Big Yard Sale For Charity

Oprah Winfrey has certainly never held back her generosity, and always seems to use her money for good in some way. In an outrageously successful event that she held at her home on Saturday, the celebrity talk show host was able to raise $600,000 for charity.

Oprah has been a variety of things throughout her career, including actress, producer, philanthropist, media mogul, and talk show host. Her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show ran from 1986-2011. She has also appeared in several films, most notably The Color Purple, and her recent role in The Butler, which will likely earn her another nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She also has her own television network and magazine.

The wealthy celebrity decided to have a huge rummage sale in order to downsize. The actress has certainly accumulated a lot of stuff, and we all know how much people want to get their hands on something that they know was owned by a celebrity.

The prices for ordinarily mundane items skyrocketed, including a teapot that was expected to sell for $100, that actually went for $1000. There are plenty more examples of items going for outrageous prices, such as two extravagant sofas that brought in a collective $8,750.

The sale was labeled as “The Oprah Winfrey Collection,” containing hundreds of her personal items. The sale was held at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club and included antiques, contemporary furnishings, and fine art. The collection was made up of the great amount of things that she has accumulated in her several homes in Indiana, Hawaii, Chicago, Santa Barbara, and her “La Quinta” estate.

Oprah Winfrey’s grand yard sale was sponsored by Kaminski Auctions, and for those who could not make it to the sale in Santa Barbara, she sold her possessions in an online auction.

The media mogul has always talked about simplifying and wants to be able live that way herself, at least to the best degree that she can. She discussed her decision to have the sale when saying “I’m trying not to be attached to things. I’m trying to live the life that I talk about, like not letting things define you. But it’s hard.”

  • Harrison Ford Pierces Jimmy Fallon’s Ear [Video]

Harrison Ford has had some incredibly memorable roles throughout his career, but piercing Jimmy Fallon’s ear on his late night talk show was not one of them-until last night. Ford was a guest on the show to talk about his new film Ender’s Game, which is based on the popular young adult and science fiction novel.

The veteran actor proceeded to pierce Fallon’s ears in front of the audience, and people watching his NBC show all over the country. The operation was very secret until it happened, and Fallon even neglected to tell his wife about what he was doing, as he joked about during the segment. He and his wife Nancy are new parents, after welcoming their baby girl in July.

Harrison Ford, of course, is known for his roles as Han Solo and Indiana Jones, in the iconic Star Wars and Indiana Jones films. The 71-year-old actor also famously got his ears pierced in 1997, at the age of 55.

During the show, Harrison Ford walked out on the stage wearing a white doctor’s lab coat. After he and Fallon joked about the procedure and what it could do to him, he began to do it. The step-by-step operation showed the talk show host squirming and squealing throughout the process.

Harrison Ford tried reassuring Fallon throughout the that it would not hurt, and he tried not to freak out during the segment, but as anyone who has had their ears pierced before, it can be pretty terrifying. And just imagine if you had thousands of people watching the whole thing as Fallon did?

    Check out the hilarious segment.
