  • Liam Neeson Strips, Gets Drenched For Cancer [VIDEO]

Call it a kind-hearted act for cancer research, or call it a clever promotion for his new film – either way, Liam Neeson stripped down to a pair of hot pink underwear on The Ellen Show and got soaked in a dunking booth.

Liam Neeson had already agreed to possibly get wet for breast cancer research, but as Ellen directed him toward the dunking booth, Neeson called an audible:

“If I take this [his robe] off does the $10,000 become $20,000?” he asked. The answer was yes, and Neeson submitted to the aim of a breast cancer survivor.

See how it played out below:

That woman was pretty excited to meet Mr. Neeson. Don’t even try to act like you wouldn’t have done the same. I’m talking to you too, fellas.

Since the drenching was successful, Shutterfly will donate $20,000 to breast cancer research. Oh yeah, and Taken 2 opens this weekend in theaters.

  • Taken 2 Trailer: Why In God’s Name Do People Keep Screwing With Liam Neeson?

It’s unclear to me why people continue to think it’s a solid idea to take things from Liam Neeson. If the last five years have given us anything, it’s the undeniable fact that any role inhabited by the Irish actor is going to come equipped with a “particular set of skills” – and we’re not just talking about the movie where he actually says that.

Fresh off bare-knuckle boxing wolves in the Alaskan tundra, Liam Neeson is back to mow down some European kidnappers in Taken 2, the sequel to the highly successful action thriller Taken.

In that film, as you remember, kidnappers “took” his daughter are sold her into sexual slavery. Bad idea. This time, the crazy sons of bitches are apparently dumb enough to try and take him and his wife.

In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.

That’s all we have so far in terms of plot, and it’s really all we need. Whatever Taken 2 lacks in creative titling, it makes up for in badassery. If you don’t believe me, check out the international trailer that just hit the interwebs:

Excited? The film is set to open on October 5th and as you can see returns much of the same cast as before. We’re just happy to see Liam Neeson take on the most interesting man in the world.

The First Real Screenshots for Taken 2

I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

So begins Liam Neeson’s debut as one of the most badass characters of our time. He will return at an unknown date for Taken 2, with a screenplay co-written by the master of espionage thrillers, Luc Besson. Right now the film is in post-production. Still a lot of editing to go before we get our first taste of the upcoming film with a teaser trailer.

Today we get our first publicity stills. Just a few so it’s not much to go on right now. Basically they show us what we already know: Neeson will be a badass, and he’ll do a lot of badass things, including more than your fill of karate chops to the throat.

This time around, Bryan Mills (Neeson) will be the one who gets kidnapped. His daughter must help rescue him and his wife from the father of one of the kidnappers from the first movie. She does, and Neeson uses more of his “particular skills” to eliminate them one by one, and get his family out of harms way.

This time around the film will be directed by Oliver Megaton (Columbiana). Megaton directed the third sequel to the Transporter. Pierre Morel directed both Taken and The Transporter, making this the second series that Megaton has taken over for him.
