  • Custom T-Shirts: Cool Designs To Inspire You

Custom T-shirt designs are more readily available than ever before.

Long gone are the days where a person could only express their brand of individualism through a particular company or brand.

After all, it is kind of hard to pull off wit using a design and/or phrase that someone else thought up for you.

Now we have custom T-shirts, your way of letting others know what kind of person you are.

Whether that turns out to be a good thing depends on your t-shirt and personal taste.

If you’re stumped as to what sort of custom design you should come up with, you should take a look at some of these really cool T-shirts.

Maybe you’ll see something that sparks a bit of creativity.

    OTP Shirt

Anyone who is remotely familiar with fandom and the concept of “shippers” will know immediately why this T-shirt is awesome:

If that’s not you, know that the entire point of this T-shirt is the concept of an “OTP” or One True Pairing. This term is symbolic of the sort of people who go around putting everyone into imaginary relationships.

Almost like wedding planners on acid.

    I Support Bacon

Yes this is a tongue in cheek take on colorful ribbons used to represent various causes.

    But it also involves bacon.

And since Americans tend to love bacon to a rather unhealthy degree, this T-shirt is one that many will love and proudly wear.

No Act Of Kindness Is Too Soon

This design is actually really sweet, in addition to being well made. The concept is simple enough.

If you feel that someone is down or have observed that something terrible has happened to another individual, it’s okay to care.

Sometimes a kind word can make all the difference in the world.

These T-shirts and designs are all different, but they all say the same thing: It’s important to consider the sort of person you are and how you wish others to see you.

One of the quickest ways to express this has been through carefully (or not so carefully) chosen T-shirts. However, nothing beats a hilarious or thoughtful customized shirt.

Hopefully in your quest for custom self-expression, these shirts will help you find your own look.

  • Utah Woman Buys Every Indecent T-shirt In Store

If you thought your mom was uptight, just be thankful she hasn’t gone to the same extremes as a Utah mom who bought every last “indecent” T-shirt from a PacSun store. Judy Cox and her son were shopping at the store at the University Mall in Orem, near Salt Lake City, Utah, when she saw some T-shirts that offended her.

Cox spotted the T-shirts in the store window and entered demanding that they be taken down. The T-shirts on display showed pictures of women in provocative clothing and suggestive poses. The store employees explained to Cox that they were not allowed to change the displays without the approval of their cooperate office, but the excuse was not good enough for Cox.

Cox decided that the only way to get the offensive T-shirts out of the window was to buy them, and that’s exactly what she did. Cox purchased every single indecent T-shirt in the store, including the ones in the display window. This would ensure that they would no longer be on display. Her purchase cost her $567 and earned her 19 T-shirts.

What’s a mother to do with 19 T-shirts that she considers to be indecent? According to cox, she doesn’t plan on keeping them and you better believe she kept the receipt. PacSun offers a 60-day return policy and Cox plans to return the shirts as close to the deadline as possible.

So what does PacSun think about the incident? PacSun CEO Gary Schoenfeld said in a statement, “The company takes pride in the clothes and products it sells, which are inspired by music, art, fashion and action sports. While customer feedback is important to us, we remain committed to the selection of brands and apparel available in our stores.”

Cox isn’t planning to stop her protest of the shirts by buying all of them, she also met with an attorney to discuss whether the images on the T-shirts violated city code.

“I hope my efforts will inspire others to speak up within their communities,” Cox said. “You don’t have to purchase $600 worth of T-shirts, but you can express your concerns to businesses and corporations who promote the display of pornography to children.”

Do you think Cox is being overly sensitive about the T-shirt or is she right to be so upset?

  • Alligator Stolen by Being Crammed Under T-Shirt

A man in West Virginia stole a baby alligator by smuggling it under his t-shirt.

There’s a lot to worry about in that sentence given that gators are native neither to the Mountain State nor to t-shirts, so let’s set the scene: A man entered a pet shop in Beckley, W. Va., and asked about food for an alligator he’d purchased previously. When the attendant went to see about the gator chow, the man quickly snuck back to where the gators were kept, pulled one from its terrarium, stuffed it up his shirt, and hurried out.

While there are more daring—and certainly more criminally glorious way to commit theft—shoving an alligator up your shirt seems particularly fraught with danger. Even so, the man made it out the door undetected.

In fact, the theft was not noticed until well afterward, when employee Anthony Williams went to feed the reptile, didn’t see it, realized it wasn’t hiding under a rock, and reviewed surveillance footage. The thief, a regular customer, was shown on camera walking with a squirming bulge in his shirt from the area of the store where the animal had been kept.

“Doesn’t seem like the safest thing to do,” said Williams. “I’m just shocked. Every business has to deal with shoplifting, but I would just would not expect an alligator to be shoplifted.”

Williams was a bit skeptical that hiding a gator under one’s clothing was the smartest way to smuggle. “I mean, I can imagine the boy probably got bit on the way out,” Williams said. “It’s just an awful strange thing to do.”

The animal was worth $300, so maybe a nip or two (as always, sorry for the puns) was worth it.

And, for graphic effect, imagine the following being confined against its will under a t-shirt:

  • T-shirts And The Cultures They Represent [Infographic]

What kind of T-shirt wearer are you? The douchey Ed Hardy wearing kind? maybe you wear a shirt that is 2 sizes too small? I personally fall into the free t-shirt and lifestyle t-shirt categories. Everyone has their own style of shirt that they wear be it a nerd or a jock or an activist.

The nice people over at fibers.com have put together a wonderful infographic to help us sort out this t-shirt madness. They carefully categorized the tshirts into 13 categories like Future and Graphic Tees. What category do you fall in?
