Austin’s 2012 South By Southwest Interactive Festival has selected local startup Spredfast to manage all of its social media during the event taking place between March 9-13. With Spredfast, SXSW will be able to monitor, coordinate, engage and log social media surrounding the event, and the startup also plans to host a lounge, meet-up and Airstream photo booth.
Jim Rudden, CMO of Spredfast, had this to say on the festival events – “SXSW brings the world’s brightest tech enthusiasts to our backyard. As a member of this massively connected community, we know that social media will be the primary channel for people to get and share information – no matter whether they are here in Austin or around the world. As an Austin-based company, we’re proud to partner with the festival to provide them the ability to not only manage their social media presence but also monitor and analyze the online conversations about the festival.”
