  • Khloé Kardashian’s Crew Cuts Interview Short

Khloé Kardashian bashed Australian TV morning show Sunrise for claiming that she deliberately cut an interview short after being asked one question about North West.

    Sounds a bit ridiculous, huh?

On March 17th the gorgeous reality star appeared on the talk show via satellite to discuss the new Kardashian Kollection which features baby clothing. It’s totally fitting that the power-can has adapted a brand new baby line considering all the kids in the family. The most recent addition to the babies is North West, daughter to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

“I guess the baby line was inspired now with lots of nieces and nephews running around,” host Sam Armytage said.

Armytage then asked, “how’s baby North going?”

Kardashian said she was “fabulous” but then was cut off by a black screen. It appeared like the show had lost their connection with the 29-year-old.

Apparently the intrigue over the baby girl made Kardashian’s publicists a little angry, prompting them to cut off the satellite connection.

Sunrise producers thought it was a technical glitch, however a source at the studio in LA said her people instructed the studio crew to go to black. Producers assumed the fade to black had to do with the question of North.

Below is a picture from Kardashian’s Instagram account showing off a sample from the new baby line.

She then tweeted this, clearly still fuming over the Sunrise incident.

Sunrise reported that a local rep for Kardashian absolutely pulled the plug. The show’s Executive Producer Michael Pell said, “what happened with Khloé Kardashian on the show is a good lesson for publicists everywhere. Don’t try to censor natural conversation.”

“You would think coming on to promote a range of clothes that includes a baby line, it would be fair enough to ask about the inspiration. When you watch the interview you see Khloé had no problem with the questions. It’s obvious someone on her team did, and pulled the plug. Khloé shouldn’t declare war on us, she should declare war on her own publicists,” he said.

  • Khloé Kardashian Denies Pulling the Plug On Interview with Australian Morning Show

Khloé Kardashian is in hot water this week.

According to Mail Online, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star recently had a misunderstanding with the Sunrise Australian morning show.

Ironically, problems arose during the interview due to “lack of communication.” On Monday, Mar. 17, the 29-year-old reality star was scheduled for an interview via satellite with the show to discuss the Kardashian Kollection, which now includes baby clothing.

“I guess the baby line was inspired now with lots of nieces and nephews running  around,” Sunrise host Sam Armytage said. “How’s baby North going?”

Khloé simply responded by saying her niece is doing “fabulous.” But, shortly after her response, the satellite screen went black.

A representative for Kardashian stated that the call was accidentally disconnected. However, Sunrise Executive Producer, Michael Pell claims the abrupt end to the interview was intentional.

The ever-popular brekky show took to Twitter to express their disdain of Kardashian’s alleged actions. “We thought it was a technical glitch but turns out @KhloeKardashian’s people pulled the plug after @Sam_armytage asked about baby North,” Sunrise tweeted.

Kardashian denies all of the claims, and ultimately lashed out with a bashing statement toward the show. “Why would I cut an interview short because of North? Get over your self Sunrise  . . . The call dropped . . . stop reaching for a story,” Kardashian tweeted. “You are so f–king desperate!”

However, Sunrise adamantly insists that her actions were intentional. “What happened with Khloé Kardashian on the show is a good lesson for publicists  everywhere. Don’t try to censor natural conversation. You would think coming on  to promote a range of clothes that includes a baby line, it would be fair enough to ask about the inspiration,” Pell said Monday.

“When you watch the interview you see Khloé had no problem with the questions. It’s obvious someone on her team did, and pulled the plug. Khloé shouldn’t declare war on us, she should declare war on her own publicists.”

  • Winter Solstice – The Shortest/Longest Day Of The Year – And So Much More…

It happens every year between December 20th and the 23rd, the first day of winter – the Winter Solstice – and this year it falls on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 17:11 UTC.

This is a time when the sun reaches its most southerly declination of -23.5 degrees. In other words, it is when the North Pole is tilted 23.5 degrees away from the sun.

When this happens, every place on earth above a latitude of 66.5 degrees north remain in darkness, and below this latitude, get 24 hours of daylight. The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

You can use the Sunrise and Sunset calculator to find the number of daylight hours during the December solstice worldwide.

Winter solstice happens when the sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere.

It is a time of celebration for many cultures because it represents the end of winter’s darkness and the coming of spring. For many ancient civilizations that struggled to survive through harsh winter, the winter solstice was a time to be grateful for winter passing.

Festivities and rituals, all over the world celebrate this significant change.

In Poland the ancient December solstice observance – prior to Christianity – involved people showing forgiveness and sharing food. It was a tradition that can still be seen in what is known as Gody.

In the NE corner of Pakistan and among the Kalash Kafir people, a seven day celebration takes place that includes the Winter Solstice. They take ritual baths for purification, they sing and chant with a torchlight procession and there is dancing and festival foods.

The Mayan honored the sun god prior to the Christian influence, doing a dangerous ritual known as the flying pole dance.

The ancient Incas celebrated with a special festival to honor the sun god.

In the 16th century these kinds of ceremonies were banned by the Roman Catholics in their attempt to convert the Inca people to Christianity. However, the Quecia Indians in Cusco, Peru, brought back the festivals and celebrations in the 1950s. It is now a major festival that begins in Cusco and continues to an ancient amphitheater nearby.

In the Neolithic and Bronze Age, Winter Solstice was a way for people to identify the actual time for harvests and sowing of new crops.

However, the most common modern-day tradition of winter or summer solstice observed around the world is to view sunrise and sunset.
