  • The Oscars Were Second Least Watched In Oscar History, Was It #OscarsSoWhite protests?

The Oscars experienced a really low viewership this past weekend with only 34.3 million people tuning in to the show.

Whether or not the “tune out” advised by Al Sharpton had much to do with it is unknown, but it does likely have something to do with the various boycotts and protests about the lack of diversity in the nominees.

Sharpton said in a statement on Monday, “Though clearly we don’t take full credit for the decline (in the TV audience), certainly one would have to assume we were effective and part of the decline.”

He added, “And to those that mocked the idea of a tune out, it seems the joke was on them.”

Viewers declined, but Chris Rock still seemed to pull it off with a highly-acclaimed turn as host.

Even with that odd appearance of Stacey Dash, which, according to The Oscars producers Reginald Hudlin and David Hill, was Rock’s idea.

Reginald Hudlin said of her appearance, “That was Chris’ idea. He was very enthusiastic about it. Some people have characterized it as a black Twitter joke.”

David Hill added, “It was a social media moment, among many social media moments, and it was designed as a social media moment. We were absolutely thrilled with a couple of things in the ratings, which was that social media was up 20 percent over last year.”

Well, Chris Rock called that one. It was definitely a social media moment.

What did you think about Chris Rock’s performance at The Oscars?

  • Stacey Dash Retaliates To Anthony Anderson Diss

Stacey Dash is embroiled in yet another feud and she continues to stand her ground and defend her controversial views.

Her most recent detractor is Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, who hosted this year’s NAACP Image Awards. After an explosive rap performance, Anderson went on to deliver his monologue, in which he acknowledged the accomplishments of various black artists and tackled the diversity issue and Oscars boycott campaign.

He then went on to call on the first presenter: Stacey Dash. Obviously making a joke, Anderson proceeded to criticize Dash’s controversial comments on BET and Black History Month and called her “an Ann Coulter dipped in butterscotch.”

“Everybody give a round of applause for Stacey Dash! What the hell is she doing here? Doesn’t she know that the Fox network is using her? She’s just an Ann Coulter dipped in butterscotch. That’s all she is.”

Anthony Anderson Calls Out Stacey Dash at the 2016 NAACP Image Awards

After a mixture of applause and tense reactions, Anderson quickly switched gears and recognized the donations of various black artists to the water shortage in Flint, Michigan.

Upon hearing about Anderson’s remarks, Stacey Dash promptly took to Twitter to fire back at the actor.

“Well it’s funny how woman who weighs 105 wet! Can get grown ass men to act like little girls!” said her tweet.

Stacey Dash has gained notoriety for her conservative views, which she often airs on the show Fox & Friends. During an appearance on the show in January, the Clueless actress suggested that black-oriented networks and events like BET, Image Awards, and even Black History month have no place in America as they promote “segregation” instead of “integration.”

She also weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding the casting of Joseph Fiennes – a white man – to play Michael Jackson in an upcoming film about the King of Pop.

“I say, BRAVO!” wrote Stacey Dash on her blog. “I’m sick and tired of being told ‘Sorry, Stacey, this is a Caucasian-only role.’”

  • Joseph Fiennes Gets Support from Stacey Dash for Michael Jackson Role

Joseph Fiennes was unexpectedly cast in the role as Michael Jackson for a half-hour comedy film about a week ago, sparking considerable outrage by many who believed a white actor shouldn’t be cast to play the part of a black man.

Although the American Horror Story actor has no intention of withdrawing from the project, he has been the recipient of support in recent days. One of his biggest supporters is Stacey Dash.

Writing on her Patheos blog, the actress weighed in on the casting of Joseph Fiennes in the story that is set after 9/11, in which Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando, and Elizabeth Taylor all jump into a car and drive back to the West Coast.

“I say, ‘BRAVO!’” Stacey Dash wrote. “I’m sick and tired of being told, ‘Sorry, Stacey, this is a Caucasian-only role.’ Counterintuitively, this decision by Hollywood–which looks like a diss to blacks–is actually what we’ve been saying all along: roles should NOT be based on color.”

Dash, who is no stranger to controversy, compares Joseph Fiennes’ casting as Michael Jackson to actors of color being cast in the Broadway production Hamilton, which features portrayals of Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.

“I don’t care about the race of the actors portraying historical figures and I can’t wait to see Joseph’s portrayal of Jackson,” she added. “It’ll be amazing as long as he plays himself truthfully and authentically.”

“Roles should not be dictated by race,” Stacey Dash continued. “There’s no reason why the lead roles in Homeland, Veep, or Penny Dreadful have to be white (my favorite shows by the way). I want to see more of this diversity and thinking outside of the box with the equality that this designation entails–this is the right track.”

Joseph Fiennes was as shocked as everyone else when he learned he’d been cast in the role.

“I’m a white, middle-class guy from London. I’m as shocked as you are,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “[Jackson] definitely had an issue–a pigmentation issue–and that’s something I do believe. He was probably closer to my color than his original color.”

What’s your take on Joseph Fiennes playing Michael Jackson? Are you surprised by the support Stacey Dash is giving him?

  • Stacey Dash Gets Schooled By Kids Regarding Black History Month

Stacey Dash has managed – in a short span of time – to be one of the most hated celebrities of our time. Ever since she officially turned conservative in 2008 and actively campaigned for then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney, she also became very vocal about her dislike of liberals and the Obama administration. Naturally, her outspoken views eventually landed her a gig as a contributor on Fox News.

She’s really done it this time, with her recent comments about why black-oriented events and organizations should be eliminated because they “further divide us” as Americans.

In the January 20 episode of Fox & Friends, Stacey Dash appeared to comment on the Oscar boycott controversy started by actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Calling the whole thing “ludicrous,” the Clueless actress went on to explain why she disapproves of these culture-based institutions.

Stacey Dash Made Some Controversial Comments About BET and Black History Month

“Either we want to have segregation or integration,” said Stacey Dash, who is of Bajan, African-American, and Mexican descent. “And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

As expected, celebrities from the film, music, and television industries reacted to her comments, with most of them slamming her and a few others expressing their support.

Her latest set of critics consist of several African-American children that were gathered by the non-profit organization, Because of Them We Can. In the one-minute video that was uploaded to YouTube, the kids express their shock at the suggestions of Stacey Dash, and proceed to explain why they think that Black History Month should stay.

Watch These Children Lecture Stacey Dash About Black History Month

“It forces us to talk about our amazing history and it didn’t begin with slavery, no negativity, no stereotypes, all excellence because that’s who and what we are,” said one of the kids.

A young boy looked into the camera, as if addressing Stacey Dash directly, and said, “We’re not cancelling anything, so you have to rock with us for 29 days.”

  • Stacey Dash Called “Media Ho” by Former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” Star

Stacey Dash was dissed recently by former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Janet Hubert. In fact, Hubert called Stacey Dash a “media ho.”

It wasn’t long in arriving. The slam from Janet Hubert follows some controversial comments Dash recently made regarding inequality at the Oscars. She slammed the Oscars boycott recently during an episode of Fox & Friends.

“I think it’s ludicrous,” Stacey Dash said with regard to the response of people like Jada Pinkett Smith and others to the Oscar nominations. “We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you’re only awarded it you’re black.”

“If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms, it’s a double standard,” she added before saying “there shouldn’t be a black history month. We’re Americans. Period.”

Janet Hubert says Stacey Dash “has worked on BET more than most actresses have.”

She is a bit suspicious of Dash’s intentions, too.

“I think she’s just saying this kind of bull because she wants sensationalism and she’s working for Fox and she needs a job and she’s making a check,” Hubert said.

Stacey Dash tried to cover her tracks by “clarifying” her initial comments–the ones that have Janet Hubert up in arms.

On her blog, she suggested black people need to “quit settling for scraps.”

“It’s hard to cut through the hysterical reactions to my comments the other day about Black History Month,” Stacey Dash wrote. “I feel like many of your reactions–saying that I’ve sold out to white people, that I’m ‘coonin” etc–show you aren’t hearing me.”

“Black History should be apart of social studies and history curriculum EVERYDAY OF EVERY MONTH OF EVERY YEAR. not just 28 days out of 365!!!” she added. “In a hundred years, do you really want the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr, Frederick Douglass, and even Barack Obama to be discussed only in the month of February?”

What’s your take on Stacey Dash? Is she, in fact, a “media ho” as Janet Hubert so eloquently suggested? Or is she simply someone who spoke too soon and is prone to being misunderstood?

  • Stacey Dash Hates Black History Month, Gets Epic Shade From Gabrielle Union

Stacey Dash is not yielding to the public’s criticism of her recent comments on BET and Black History Month. As a matter of fact, the actress-Fox contributor is steadfast in her opinions and believes that she deserves an apology from her detractors on social media.

In a lengthy post that she wrote on Monday on the Patheos blog, Dash shut down her critics using pretty much one argument – that she and esteemed actor Morgan Freeman share the same views on race relations in America.

Entitled “Twitter Haters, When Do I Get My Apology for Agreeing with Morgan Freeman about #BlackHistoryMonth?” the post further elaborated on the reason why black-oriented events and organizations need to be eliminated.

“When I spoke out on Fox News and on my blog about the need to get rid of BET and Black History Month, all the same usual Twitter haters came out of the woodwork to troll me and say all sorts of disgusting things about me,” wrote the 49-year-old Clueless actress.

“If you’re going to call me ignorant, stupid, and an Uncle Tom, you need to be intellectually honest and also call out Morgan Freeman,” she added.

Stacey Dash References this Morgan Freeman Interview from 2006

Freeman did suggest the removal of Black History Month back in 2006 during an interview on 60 Minutes. Stacey Dash included the said video in her blog post, and went on to say, “What’s that you say? You didn’t realize that Morgan Freeman agrees with me that having a Black History Month is actually racist and a part of the problem in healing race relations in America?”

Fellow black actress Gabrielle Union recently joined the Stacey Dash discussion, and gave a perfectly shady response by feigning knowledge of who Dash is.

The outspoken actress, who stars in the BET drama series Being Mary Jane, feigned knowledge of Dash’s celebrity and called her a “crazy lady.”

“Who’s Stacey Dash? Is she like related to Dame Dash? Was she on Roc-A-Fella?” Union said. She also called explained the existence of the BET Awards, Country Music Awards, and the ALMA Awards and insisted that they are necessary in addressing the lack of diversity in mainstream awards.

  • Stacey Dash Bashes Oscar Boycott, Wants To Get Rid Of Black History Month

Fox commentator Stacey Dash is stirring the racial pot once again, and people are reacting aggressively from both sides.

The actress-turned-news contributor, who is best known for her character Dionne in the 1995 film Clueless, is slowly establishing herself as an outspoken conservative pundit. After cursing on air while criticizing President Obama – for which she got suspended by Fox News – Stacey Dash has now weighed in on the #OscarsSoWhite controversy.

Stacey Dash gave her two cents following the recent call to boycott the Oscars this year by big Hollywood stars such as actress Jada Pinkett-Smith and director Spike Lee. They and many other celebrities complained about the lack of diversity among the nominees.

During Wednesday’s episode of Fox & Friends, Stacey Dash addressed the boycott by calling it “ludicrous” and implied that black-dominated networks such as BET are just as discriminatory as the Academy Awards for mostly recognizing black artists.

Watch Stacey Dash Comment on the Recent Oscar Boycott

“If we don’t want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black.”

She also suggested the expulsion of Black History Month, echoing earlier sentiments that she previously expressed in a November 2015 blog post entitled “Why Black History Month is Ridiculous and Why BET Should Not Exist.”

“There shouldn’t be a Black History Month. We’re Americans, period. That’s it,” she said on the Fox show.

As expected, Dash’s brash comments drew the ire of her fellow African-Americans in the business. BET took to their official website and social media accounts to slam Stacey Dash’s claims, posting a series of images featuring her old character in Clueless as well as the network’s comedy series The Game, in which she starred.

Stacey Dash Is Slammed on The View for Her Comments About Black History Month

The hosts of The View also criticized Stacey Dash for committing “the height of hypocrisy” by suggesting the removal of BET and black organizations when she has benefitted numerous times from their various media outlets.

Stacey Dash: BET Hits Back At Dash’s Segregation Comments

Stacey Dash has officially opened a floodgate against herself.

Stacey Dash, an actress mostly known for her role in 1995 cult hit Clueless and her contribution to Fox News, made some risky remarks on Wednesday’s Fox & Friends.

In response to the news of Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike Lee’s announcements that they will be boycotting the Oscars this year due to a lack of diversity among nominees, Stacey Dash suggested doing away with BET and Black History month.

    No kidding, that really happened.

Stacey Dash said, “I think it’s ludicrous. Because, we have to make up our minds. Either we want segregation or integration.”

    Thank you @Hasbro #clueless #mylittlepony

Stacey Dash then took a couple of hits at President Obama and suggested that since there is no White History month, there should be no Black History month.

    That did it.

What do you think about what Stacey Dash said about BET and Black History month?

  • Stacey Dash: BET Fires Shots on Twitter

Stacey Dash: BET Fires Shots on Twitter

Actress-turned-Fox News star Stacey Dash ruffled some feathers this week when she suggested that there should be no such thing as the BET network or even Black History Month.

“We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration, and if we don’t want segregation, then we have to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” she said. “If it were the other way around, we’d be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

When Fox host Steve Doocy pushed her to elaborate on whether or not there should be a BET, Dash doubled down, saying,

“No, I don’t think so. No. Just like there shouldn’t be a Black History Month. You know? We’re Americans. Period. That’s it.”

Now, the BET network has fired some shot, so to speak.

“Soooooo @REALStaceyDash can we get our check back… or nah?
#Remember #YouWereOnTheGame #AndWeDontMeanTheRapper,” the official Twitter account for the network tweeted out.

Stacey Dash did in fact appear on seasons three and four of the BET TV series The Game. The show ran for an impressive 147 episodes over nine seasons.

Dash has pointed to an interview with actor Morgan Freeman where he also decries the concept of Black History Month. On this point, at least, she’s not wrong.

  • Stacy Dash Says Oscar Boycott Is ‘Ludicrous’ And Black History Month Should Be a Thing of the Past

Stacy Dash of Fox News says she was shocked when she learned that there were no actors or actresses of color nominated for an Oscar this year, but says a boycott proposed by celebrities like Jada Pinkett Smith is not the way to go.

On Wednesday, the 49-year-old Clueless actor made her opinion known in an interview with Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends.

“I think it’s ludicrous,” she said. “Because we have to make up our minds. Either we want segregation or integration.”

Dash said she is happy the lack of diversity is a topic of conversation, but believes that things won’t change until the “double standard” currently in place is eliminated.

“If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET, and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” she explained. “If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

Dash made the point that there is no White History Month, so why should there be a Black History Month?

“What I find astounding is that we’ve had a president who is black in office for the past eight years, who gets most of his funding from the liberal elite in Hollywood,” she added, referring to President Barack Obama. “Yet, there are not very many roles for people of color. How can that be? And why is it just now being addressed?”

Dash agreed that Jada Pinkett Smith might have cause to be upset considering her husband, Will Smith, wasn’t nominated for his role in Concussion.

“He did a great job in the movie, but at the same time, what does that say about how people are selected for these awards?” Doocy asked Dash.

“Right. That’s assuming they’re selected by race, which I think would be a disservice to the people who are looking at the films and making the choices,” she said. “Maybe [the Academy] need[s] to be more, you know, integrated, and there needs to be more diverse people in the process of electing.”

Doocy claimed that, although the Academy demographics are kept secret, they are “predominately white males.”

“I hope they’re looking for the best movies and the best actors,” Dash noted. “The good news is, there’s attention brought to it now. But, like I said, over the past eight years, we’ve had a president who’s black, who gets his funding mainly from Hollywood. ‘The elite liberals.’ So, it’s odd to me that this has now become such an issue.”

  • Stacey Dash Calls Oscars Backlash A “Double Standard”

Stacey Dash spoke up recently on the backlash created in Hollywood when the Oscar nominations were announced–and left out any actor or actress of color despite several successful films in 2015–and said that if we want things to be equal, we need to get rid of exclusionary programs and television channels.

“I think it’s ludicrous. Because we have to make up our minds. Either we want segregation or integration…If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET, and the BET Awards and the Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard,” Dash said on Fox & Friends.

Several A-list actors have boycotted the Oscars this year, including George Clooney and Will and Jada Smith, who say that the lack of nominations for people of color is outrageous. Lupita Nyong’o also lent her voice to the conversation via Instagram, posting a message about her disappointment in the Academy.

While Stacey Dash’s views may be more controversial than others, many actors are joining in the fight to have black actors heard, including Idris Elba. Elba delivered a speech to Parliament on diversity in the media earlier this week, saying that diversity of thought is just as important as skin color.

“I’m here to talk about diversity. Diversity in the modern world is more than just skin color—It’s gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, social background, and – most important of all, as far as I’m concerned – diversity of thought. Because if you have genuine diversity of thought among people making TV & film, then you won’t accidentally shut out any of the groups I just mentioned,” Elba said.

  • Stacey Dash Says There Should Be No BET, Black History Month

In discussing the controversy over the lack of diversity among this year’s Oscar nominees, actress-turned-conservative commentator Stacey Dash made a rather controversial statement.

In the spirit of integration, Dash suggested that we get rid of black-focused TV channels like BET as well as Black History Month.

Period. That’s it.”

  • Stacey Dash Suspended For Vulgarity On Fox’s ‘Outnumbered’

Another Fox correspondent is receiving backlash for using inappropriate language on air, and this time around, it’s former actress Stacey Dash.

During a live episode of the Fox daytime news and talk show Outnumbered, panelists discussed President Obama’s address regarding the recent shooting in San Bernardino and the government’s measures to fight terrorism, which he delivered from the Oval Office on Sunday.

This Speech By Pres. Obama Drew Strong Reactions From Stacey Dash And Ralph Peters

Regular panelist Andrea Tantaros kicked off the discussion by commenting on Obama’s seeming insincerity about the gravity of the country’s terrorism situation because of his decision to change immediately into a tuxedo “in haste” to attend another event afterwards.

Fellow panelist Lisa Kennedy weighed in on the issue and criticized the Obama administration for “fixing” the president’s official speech transcript by changing the fact that one of the two suspects, Tashfeen Malik, entered the United States on a “visa waiver” as opposed to a fiancée visa – a detail that was stated in the speech.

Stacey Dash – who is a semi-regular panelist on the show – proceeded to call the president’s speech “ridiculous” and an “epic fail,” comparing Obama to a teenager who “has to go to dinner with their parents but they have to go to a party afterwards.”

After declaring that the speech lacked passion and sincerity, Stacey Dash became emotional and accidentally cursed on live TV.

“I felt like he could give a s**t — excuse me, like he could care less,” she said.

Stacey Dash has since been suspended from the network for two weeks because of the offense.

However, she isn’t the only one who got penalized for using vulgar language on TV. During a December 7 broadcast of Varney & Co. on the Fox Business Network, retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters made a strong comment on the same Obama speech.

“We want you to react, do something. You’re afraid,” Peters said about the president’s reaction towards the recent terrorist attacks. “I mean, this guy is such a total p***y, it’s stunning, and you know, we want — we the people, the American people who he does not know in any intimate sort of manner, we want action.”

Like Stacey Dash, Lt. Col. Peters was also given a two-week suspension from the network.

  • Stacey Dash Calls Gender Pay Gap “An Excuse”

Stacey Dash Calls Gender Pay Gap “An Excuse”

Stacey Dash is known for her outspoken conservative views, which she dishes out on a regular basis as a Fox New contributor.

However, Stacey Dash seemed to be caught a little off guard when she sat down to chat with Meredith Vieira on Wednesday’s episode of The Meredith Vieira Show.

Of course, Stacey Dash had to answer some tough questions posed to her by Vieira on her political views, as they take complete opposite stances on most politically charged topics.

But, one topic in particular pitted Stacey Dash and Meredith Vieira against each other in a rather heated discussion: the gender pay gap.

    Watch the exchange:

When Vieira asked Stacey Dash why she took issue with a recent video featuring Rita Wilson that highlighted women’s struggle for equal pay in Hollywood, Washington, and Fortune 500 companies, Stacey Dash tried her hardest to defend herself.

Stacey Dash said, “I feel like it’s an excuse. It’s the same thing with race. It’s an excuse. Stop making excuses.”

She added, “If there are opportunities, seize them and be prepared for them, and be the best, if that’s what it takes. If you have to be extraordinary, then be extraordinary.”

Meredith Vieira then threw out some statistics to support her argument and implied that sometimes being extraordinary isn’t good enough if you’re a woman.

Vieira said, “I feel like we’re fighting an uphill battle. When you look at just the numbers, we make 78 cents for every dollar that a man makes. At the rate we’re going, my daughter, who’s 22, will be 65 when there’s finally pay equality. There’s something wrong, something clearly wrong.”

Stacey Dash then seemed to questioned her data, saying, “I don’t know if that’s true.”

But, Vieira quickly said, “That’s true, that’s documented.”

Stacey Dash clarified herself by saying, “I feel like your daughter will be able to make as much money as she wants in her life. Just like you are — I mean, look at you.”

Vieira acknowledged that she is quite successful, but that it took a lot of hard work and added that, along the way, her male colleagues made more money than she did.

Stacey Dash replied, “I guess I won’t put my fate into anything other than my own action, and taking my destiny in my hands. I will not be a victim.”

Vieira quickly cut in, saying, “I’m not saying I’m a victim. I’m pissed off,” for which she got a round of applause.

Stacey Dash acknowledged her right to be pissed off, but told her to just work harder. She said, “And that’s the thing: If you want to be pissed off about it, then be pissed off about it and work harder for it. Because there is a law passed that we get equal pay.”

“Except we don’t,” Vieira argued back. “We don’t. We don’t.”

That was quite the heated exchange between Stacey Dash and Meredith Vieira! Who’s stance do you agree with more on the hot-button issue of gender pay equality?

  • Stacey Dash, Meredith Vieira Go Head to Head Over Equal Pay For Women. Who Won the Heated Debate?

Stacey Dash and Meredith Vieira had a difference of opinion on gender pay equality on Wednesday’s The Meredith Vieira Show, and the interview got a little heated.

Meredith Vieira, 61, gently pressured Stacey Dash to answer to the her opposition to female celebrities who fight for equal pay for men and women.

“I feel like it’s an excuse. It’s the same thing with race. It’s an excuse. Stop making excuses,” Stacey Dash said of the issue. “If there are opportunities, seize them and be prepared for them, and be the best, if that’s what it takes. If you have to be extraordinary, then be extraordinary.”

Meredith Vieira countered that sometimes that isn’t enough.

“I feel like we’re fighting an uphill battle. When you look at just the numbers, we make 78 cents for every dollar that a man makes,” she said. “At the rate we’re going, my daughter, who’s 22, will be 65 when there’s finally pay equality. There’s something wrong, something clearly wrong.”

Stacey Dash argued back, “I don’t know if that’s true.”

“That’s true, that’s documented,” Vieira quickly replied.

Once Stacey Dash acknowledged that Vieira may be correct about the statistics, she said, “I feel like your daughter will be able to make as much money as she wants in her life. Just like you are — I mean, look at you.”

Vieira said it took her many years to get to her position and for many years, she was not getting the same pay as her male counterparts. Stacey Dash asked her if she believed it was because she is a woman.

“I think that had a lot to do with it,” said Meredith Vieira.

“I guess I won’t put my fate into anything other than my own action, and taking my destiny in my hands,” Stacey Dash declared. “I will not be a victim.”

“I’m not saying I’m a victim,” Vieira interrupted. “I’m pissed off.”

“And that’s the thing: If you want to be pissed off about it, then be pissed off about it and work harder for it,” Stacey Dash responded. “Because there is a law passed that we get equal pay.”

“Except we don’t,” Meredith Vieira exclaimed. “We don’t. We don’t.”

You be the judge. Who won the debate?

  • Stacey Dash Wants Ebola Centers In All U.S. Cities

Stacey Dash has a new plan to keep the United State’s Ebola outbreak to a minimum.

On Monday, while speaking on her Fox News talk show Outnumbered, the former Clueless star suggested that the United States build special Ebola quarantine centers in every city.
    .
“I think they should set up special centers for just Ebola in each state,” Dash explained, adding that regular hospitals should not be accepting Ebola patients. “They shouldn’t be letting people go into regular hospitals where it could be spread,” she said.

“I just think that for this specific disease, we should have a special facility with specially trained people,” Dash said. “In each city. That way it’s not spread, and when the person walks in, they know what they’re looking for, they know if they find it, they know how to contain it. And they know how not to infect themselves.”

The panelists, which included Harris Faulkner, also suggested that it was time for the United States to appoint an official point person in the Surgeon General to handle the Ebola situation.

“I don’t care what party you are, you’ve got to get your stuff together,” Faulkner stated. “We need a surgeon general. We need a pinpoint person. Look, from both sides of the political aisle this weekend, they started saying, where is this person?”

The panelists’ comments come just a day after the Dallas nurse, who treated Thomas Eric Duncan, was identified as Nina Pham. She is the first person in the United States to contract the disease. On Wednesday, October 15, another Dallas nurse was confirmed to have contracted Ebola as well.

  • Stacey Dash Offers Ebola Quarantine Advice

Now that Ebola is infecting people in the United States, many people are panicking and wondering what our country will do if there is an outbreak.

While the CDC has assured everyone that an outbreak the size of that in West Africa is not going to happen in the United States, many people are still wondering how an outbreak of any size will be handled.

Stacey Dash may not be an expert on the topic of Ebola, but she did offer a smart solution to help reduce worry and prevent the spread of Ebola if an outbreak does occur.

“I think they should set up special centers for just Ebola in each state,” said Dash, who co-hosted the show Outnumbered with Harris Faulkner. “They shouldn’t be letting people go into regular hospitals, where it could be spread.”

“I just think that for this specific disease, we should have a special facility with specially trained people,” she added. “In each city. That way it’s not spread, and when the person walks in, they know what they’re looking for, they know if they find it, they know how to contain it. And they know how not to infect themselves.”

While the CDC is saying that Ebola can and will be contained to ensure that there is not a large outbreak in the United States, many people are questioning the protocols in place.

Two nurses who were treating the first Ebola patient in the United States contracted the disease while treating the patient and several other people throughout the country are being quarantined and tested for the deadly virus as well.

Dash’s cohost on the show, Harris Faulkner, agreed with the idea and said that he believes things would go a lot more smoothly and people would feel better if we had a Surgeon General to help set some rules and regulations for treating the virus.

  • Stacey Dash Advocates Special Ebola Centers in the U.S.

Since joining the Fox News Channel earlier this year as a contributor, former actress Stacey Dash has managed to avoid the infamy associated with much of the channel’s on-air talent. Dash made headlines over the summer for criticizing one of Kanye West’s weirder on-stage rants, but has managed to stay under the radar since then.

Now it appears that Dash has stumbled into her very first Fox News flub.

Dash appeared on the Fox News program Outnumbered on Monday, joining a panel discussion about the U.S. government’s response to the Ebola outbreak. The former actress ended up suggesting that quarantine centers be set up across the U.S. specifically for those suspected of having Ebola.

“I think they should set up special centers for just Ebola in each state,” said Dash. “They shouldn’t be letting people go into regular hospitals where it could be spread.

“I just think that for this specific disease we should have a special facility with specially trained people who know exactly how to deal with this in each city. That way it’s not spread and when the person walks in they know what they’re looking for, they know if they find it, they know how to contain it, and they know how not to infect themselves.”

At face value Dash’s actual comments aren’t too extreme, especially considering some of the other opinions voiced on the same program. The internet, however, has decided that Dash may be a bit paranoid, considering only three Americans have been diagnosed with Ebola. Twitter users have voiced disapproval in their usual hyperbolic manner, though the former actress also has supporters:

Of course, Dash hasn’t made it easy for herself on Twitter. The Fox News contributor last week tweeted out the provocative suggestion that the U.S. could house Ebola patients in the infamous Guantanamo Bay prison camp:

  • Stacey Dash: ‘Clueless’ Star Says Bill O’Reilly is Her Celebrity Crush

Stacey Dash has scored a spot on Fox News as a paid contributor, and the actress has more than one reason to be excited to join the news team — her crush on network co-worker Bill O’Reilly.

The former Clueless star made an appearance on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live and admitted her crush on the O’Reilly Factor host to Billy Bush, Kit Hoover and guest co-host Brooke Burns.

“I’m just a huge fan. He is [my celebrity crush],” she gushed. “[I’m attracted to] the strength, the power, the intelligence, the wit.”

Dash‘s new gig with Fox News came about after she experienced a backlash on social media for backing Mitt Romney for President over Barack Obama.

“[The backlash was] because I didn’t back the black guy, and I’m black,” she said.

“Were the Tweets mostly from black people do you think?” Bush asked.

“Yes – I don’t ‘think,’ I know. It’s absurd,” she replied. “I don’t respond. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but I’m still going to stand for what I believe in.”

The actress said her Twitter account blew up with hate-filled responses after coming out in support of Romney, but it didn’t daunt her in the least.

“People told me to kill myself, stuff like that. But I’m from the South Bronx – I don’t scare easily,” she said.

It’s amazing what one tweet can do.

“I tweeted my opinion and when I woke up the next morning, my life had changed,” the 47-year-old conservative told Elle magazine. “And since then, anything I say has been newsworthy. I say something and then it’s newsworthy.”

  • Stacey Dash Disses Kanye West On Fox News Over ‘Rape Rant’

Actress Stacey Dash expressed her opinion on celebrities who compare public exposure to dangerous and extreme situations. The 47-year-old Clueless actress appeared in a Fox News segment called “Outnumbered” where other hosts asked for her opinion.

The hosts cited some examples of celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow when she compared insults on the internet to “being a soldier in war,” and Lupita Nyong’o when she compared walking the red carpet to a “warzone.”

Over the weekend, Kanye West performed at the Wireless Festival in London where he was booed by the audience for ranting. His “speech” garnered criticism, especially when he compared having his picture taken by the paparazzi to being raped.

“I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 mo*********** following me,” West ranted to the crowd at the middle of his set. “Sex is great with you and your partner. But if one of the people don’t want to do that, what is that called? That’s called rape. That’s called violation,” he said referring to the paparazzi’s behavior when taking his pictures in public.

Dash expressed her opinion regarding West’s statement and said, “For Kanye to say rape, maybe he needs to spend some time on Rikers Island. Go to Rikers for a little while, and then he’ll know what rape is.”

She also continued that the paparazzi are just doing their job by taking celebrity pictures. “If you’re nice, if you’re polite to them, they leave you alone. It’s when you start to call them names and act crazy and put your hands up and do all this drama that they make it a big deal,” she said.

Dash finished her statement and said that being in the public eye is part of being a celebrity. Did she go over the line when she urged West to go to prison?

  • Stacey Dash Joins Fox News As Paid Contributor

Stacey Dash of Clueless fame is joining Fox News as a paid contributor and the Twitter backlash has been both harsh and swift.

The 47-year-old actress, best known for her role as Dionne in Clueless, will offer “cultural analysis and commentary” on daytime and prime-time shows, according to an article by the Los Angeles Times.

“Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates,” said Bill Shine, the network’s exec VP of programming.

Dash publicly endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential Election and has been on Fox News before, with appearances on “Outnumbered” and “Fox & Friends.” Since her endorsement of Romney, she has publicly expressed support for stay-at-home moms and veterans.

Dash told Elle magazine, “Feminism is being able to have the choice. The choice to be a CEO, to be an executive, to be a journalist, to be a congresswoman, to be a mother, a stay-at-home mother, to be a wife.”

“Stay-at-home mothers are building our future,” she adds. “And I feel like if we had more of them, our society would not be in such a decline.”

The Twitter backlash has been quick since the news broke. Users have called her a “turncoat,” said she has proven herself “mentally ill,” and remarked that Dash would “join the KKK if the check cleared.”

This is not the first time her political views have sparked a range of personal Twitter attacks. When she endorsed Mitt Romney in 2012 instead of President Barack Obama, a “flood of personal criticism” came her way, according to the LA Times article.

In that instance, she spoke with Piers Morgan, saying, “I’m … saddened and shocked, really shocked. Really shocked. But you can’t expect everyone to agree with you.”
