  • Lindsay Lohan: 125 Hours of Community Service in 20 Days, or Face Jail Time–Will She Do It?

Lindsay Lohan has been ordered by a judge to complete 125 hours of community service in 20 days or she will face jail time. Will she do it, or will she enlist the efforts of a highly-paid lawyer to once again get her out of her obligation?

This community service sentence comes as a result of a 2012 car crash in Santa Monica. Lindsay Lohan was working on this sentence while living in Brooklyn, where she was filming a TV show. Presently living in London, prosecutors recently complained that she isn’t holding up her end of the bargain. Lohan is in London starring in a play called Speed-the-Plow.

On Thursday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark Young told Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer that the actress must return to Brooklyn by May 28th to complete her community service. She has thus far only performed 10 hours of her sentence.

Shawn Holley, an attorney for Lindsay Lohan, defends the actress, saying it is “technically impossible” for her to have finished the hours in London because it’s limited to four hours a day and the facility she was working with has moved –meaning it is now a 90-minute commute from her home.

In Brooklyn, Lindsay Lohan was doing her community service at Brooklyn Community Services, which placed her at Fort Greene’s Duffield Children’s Center. The group also runs centers in New York’s Bedford-Stuyvesant and East New York neighborhoods. Shawn Holley has recommended to Lindsay Lohan that she return to Brooklyn and complete her work there.

During the 2012 car crash, Lindsay Lohan was charged with three misdemeanors, including reckless driving and allegedly lying to Santa Monica police, for an accident that involved her Porsche.

Do you think Lindsay Lohan will actually return to Brooklyn and complete 125 hours of community service in 20 days? Or will she once again do her best to slip out of her responsibilities and dodge her jail time, too?

  • Lindsay Lohan: Is She Headed Back to Jail?

Lindsay Lohan could be headed back to jail. The Freaky Friday and Mean Girls star has been in London for a while now, plotting a comeback and starring in a play called Speed the Plow. The trouble is, she was supposed to be fulfilling her community service obligation (for her prior reckless driving conviction) while in London. However there is no proof thus far that she’s been doing that.

L.A. District Attorney Terry White is “expected to ask Judge Richard Stone to terminate Lindsay’s probation, and will recommend she serve jail time because of the lack of transparency regarding the completion of community service hours,” according to RadarOnline.

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t turned in the records from her community service in London, leading officials to fear she hasn’t fulfilled her obligation.

The D.A. “never wanted Lindsay to be able to do the hours in London, but another judge, handling the case at the time, approved it.”

Even authorities in London haven’t cooperated with handing over Lindsay Lohan’s records to L.A. officials.

“These were very, very basic inquiries, such as how was Lindsay monitored, who supervised her work–it does seem odd that none of that information has been sent, especially since there is a court date scheduled for February 18,” RadarOnline reports.

Los Angles Deputy City Attorney Terry White is “expected to ask Judge Richard Stone to terminate Lindsay’s probation, and will recommend she serve jail time because of the lack of transparency regarding the completion of community service hours.”

Lindsay Lohan could serve 30 days in jail if she doesn’t get those completed records with proof of community service in London to authorities in L.A.

TMZ is reporting that Esurance is paying $10,000 to her community service organization, and that Lindsay Lohan wants the D.A. to believe she has served her community service by ‘raising funds’ for a London agency that benefits poor children.

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer is livid about the TMZ report.

TMZ has stooped to a new low. To take Lindsay’s positive efforts in supporting CSV and turn them into something negative simply to sell a story is offensive,” Shawn Holley said. “Lindsay has been involved in helping to raise funds for this wonderful organization since she started her community service there and she has continued her work as a volunteer, even though her community service was completed weeks ago.”

Do you think Lindsay Lohan is once again living like the law applies to everyone but her? Or is there some reasonable explanation as to why those community service records haven’t yet surfaced in the L.A. D.A.’s office?

  • Lindsay Lohan Faces Possible Jail Time

Lindsay Lohan could actually be looking at doing time.

The troubled starlet has been in London trying to make a comeback on stage with her play, Speed the Plow.

She is also supposed to have been doing community service for her reckless driving conviction.

Lindsay Lohan‘s London community service was against the better judgement of the D.A., who “never wanted Lindsay to be able to do the hours in London, but another judge, handling the case at the time, approved it,” a source told Radar.

The problem is, Lindsay Lohan still hasn’t turned in her probation records proving her community service was done in London as ordered.

Time is ticking, and Lindsay Lohan could possibly be facing jail time if she doesn’t turn them in by her court date on Wednesday.

    Bless

Sources said, “These were very, very basic inquiries, such as how was Lindsay monitored, who supervised her work. It does seem odd that none of that information has been sent, especially since there is a court date scheduled for Feb. 18th.”

That court date for Lindsay Lohan was set after questions arose after some fishy-looking reports surfaced that she got community service credit for doing meet and greets, as well as signing autographs for fans.

There was also a suspicious report that Lindsay Lohan had worked ten days in a row, eight hours each, to try and get her community service done.

Yeah, that doesn’t sound like the Lindsay Lohan we know.

Other insiders told Radar that Los Angles Deputy City Attorney Terry White is “expected to ask Judge Richard Stone to terminate Lindsay’s probation, and will recommend she serve jail time because of the lack of transparency regarding the completion of community service hours.”

If Lindsay Lohan doesn’t turn in those records, she could be facing 30 days in prison.

What do you think? Should Lindsay Lohan have even been allowed to serve her community service in London?

  • Lindsay Lohan: Falling Off The Wagon?

Lindsay Lohan: Falling Off The Wagon?

Lindsay Lohan’s sobriety seems to be in jeopardy as she parties around Europe.

She is there working on her new project, a play called Speed the Plow. However, Lindsay Lohan has been photographed all over the place falling in public and looking like the mess that she claimed was in her past.

Her friends back home, that kept her sober with support and words of encouragement, are now seriously worried about Lindsay Lohan. One source said that no one can get ahold of the troubled starlet.

“Lindsay has abandoned her friends and her sober community. She has stopped responding to our texts and calls and is basically ignoring everyone now. She’s getting the texts because they show up as read; she’s just not answering,” they said of Lindsay Lohan.

“Some of these people have been friends with her for more than a decade. There is nothing anyone can do, until she answers.”

Now Lindsay Lohan is reportedly missing rehearsals for Speed the Plow, putting her expected comeback in danger of becoming just another link in the Lindsay Lohan crazy chain of failure.

“The sad part is that there is nothing anyone back home can do and we are all worried for her,” the source said of Lindsay Lohan. “She’s pulled a geographic thinking that it would help her and all it has done is put her sobriety in jeopardy.”

“We all care about her [Lindsay Lohan] and want the best for her, but there is nothing anyone can do,” the source added.

It seems like Lindsay Lohan is burning some pretty serious bridges back home if she really is ignoring her friends’ calls. It would be so incredibly careless to mess up this chance at a comeback, because you know she won’t get another.

Hopefully Lindsay Lohan can pull herself together before it’s too late!

  • Lindsay Lohan Doesn’t Like Our Fascination With Her

Lindsay Lohan spoke recently about all the attention she’s gotten lately, saying that the public’s rabid fascination with her life scares her sometimes.

The actress has had a rough run of it in the past few years, between her legal battles, bad reviews for her film projects, and the many drama-filled experiences she’s reportedly had while on set. After getting a bad reputation for being difficult and irresponsible, Lohan says she wants to have a fresh start in London when she takes on a role in David Mamet’s Speed The Plow, which will run from September to November.

“People have certain perceptions of me. For a long time, people looked at me as kind of a celebrity, which is something I never wanted…That’s not what I got into this industry for. I’ve been doing this since I was 3 years old and I’ve been on set since I was 6. People kind of forgot that, and I think now is a good time. And what better than to do it with the great people that I’m working with on stage in London…so that people can focus on the fact that I’m in this industry because I’m an actress and an artist and not just someone you take photos of?” she said.

Lohan says she doesn’t quite understand why the media is so quick to latch on to her, especially when she doesn’t have anything particularly news-worthy going on.

“I don’t understand the crazy fascination with me because it kind of scares me. Even when I’m not doing anything, they create something that I’m doing. But I’m so numb to it at this point that it doesn’t affect me personally,” she says, “whereas in the past I think it did a little bit and I was out in L.A. on my own.”

Lohan had a heart-to-heart with Oprah recently during filming for her OWN docuseries, Lindsay, after the actress began showing signs of her old behavior on set. With her latest role–her first for the stage–Lohan says she’s excited to take on something so different and is ready to take it on with a new attitude.

“I am thrilled to be making my theatrical debut in London this year in David Mamet’s Speed the Plow. Having more than two decades of experience working in the entertainment and movie business, I am excited for the new challenge presented by a role which showcases the ins-and-outs of the American movie business. David Mamet is an iconic play writer and I am excited to be playing this incredible role,” she said in a statement.

  • Lindsay Lohan Vows to Redeem Her Past in London, Says She May Move There For Good

Actress Lindsay Lohan has vowed that she will not miss any shows when she makes her London debut in David Mamet’s Speed-The-Plow in September.

It’s a little sad that an actress has to stipulate that she will honor her commitments, but the 28-year-old actress has developed a reputation for being unreliable, even across the big pond.

When asked if she would be docked pay if she missed any shows or rehearsals for the West End production, she told the BBC, “That’s not going to happen.

“That’s not on the cards. It’s not. I want to be known for my talents, rather than a tabloid sensation. I’m at a place in my life where I like the commitment. I’m looking forward to that part of it,” she said.

It seems her reputation as a “drug-taking, alcohol-abusing, hard-partying wild child,” as the BBC labels the beleaguered actress, has preceded her arrival on the London stage.

Lohan told BBC arts editor Will Gompertz she hoped her 10-week appearance at the Playhouse Theatre would help restore her reputation.

“I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation,” she said. “However long it does take, I’m willing to do it. I’m willing to work for it.”

Lohan said she felt “very lucky and excited and nervous” to be making her stage debut in the UK.

“There’s a different standard to it here. It seems more prestigious. It seems a bit more serious and that’s something that I really want to experience.”

The actress said she was considering moving to London “for good”.

“I’ve noticed here, watching the news, you guys have such a different outlook. In the US, starting at 5 p.m,. it’s TMZ. It’s all these shows talking about people’s personal lives, and here I don’t notice any of that – it’s news and politics and music,” said Lohan. “So it’s nice to be able to turn on the TV and not everything is about gossip. That’s a really nice feeling.”

    The play opens Sept. 24.

  • Lindsay Lohan To Make Daring Comeback Attempt

Lindsay Lohan is making yet another comeback attempt, but this time the choice is rather interesting. Lohan will star in Speed the Plow, a three-person West End play about two executive who make a bet whether one of them can sleep with secretary, Karen (Lohan).

The play began in 1988 and Karen was a role once played by Madonna, who actually earned critical favor for her performance.

New York Times theater critic Frank Rich said of Madonna as Karen, “It’s a relief to report that this rock star’s performance is safely removed from her own Hollywood persona. Madonna serves Mr. Mamet’s play … with intelligent, scrupulously disciplined comic acting. She delivers the shocking transitions essential to the action and needs only more confidence to relax a bit and fully command her speaking voice.”

Let’s hope Lindsay Lohan can become “safely removed from her own Hollywood persona”. Should she be able to pull of this performance, perhaps she really could make a genuine comeback.

Since her disclosure of her miscarriage last April on her OWN network reality show, Lindsay Lohan has been noticeably absent from the scene. However, a source close to her said that she has been in London and has really been trying to get it together.

“She’s been in London really trying to get her life together and got to meeting with a bunch of agents and managers and it just came together,” the source says. “She’s been studying for the role for over a month.”

Lindsay seems to be rather excited about the possible fresh start that she so desperately wants and needs.

“It’s the first time I’ve done a stage play or anything like that,” Lohan said of taking on a stage role. “I’m nervous but I’m excited.”

“I’m going back to my West End world. I’m a little overwhelmed. I haven’t done this — I haven’t really done the shows — in the last few years.”

Hopefully the tragic and desperate story of Lindsay Lohan will get back on track if she can pull this one off!

  • Lindsay Lohan To Make Stage Debut In London

Lindsay Lohan is set to make her theater debut on London’s West End this November in a production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow.

“It’s the first time I’ve done a stage play or anything like that. I’m nervous but I’m excited” said Lohan.

She announced her plans at a Moschino fashion show in London on June 17th, mentioning to a New York Times reporter that she has been in town for months preparing for the play.

Lohan will take on the role of Karen, originated by Madonna on Broadway in 1988. Speed-the-Plow is a satirical play about the activities of Hollywood producers and was most recently staged in a Broadway revival in 2008.

Though Lohan has confirmed her participation in the production both verbally and through Instagram and Twitter posts, there has been no official announcement that the production is moving forward nor that Lohan has been cast.

Her most recent project, the Bret Easton Ellis film The Canyons, received mixed reviews and didn’t provide the comeback performance Lohan was hoping for.

Despite this, Lohan appears to be very committed to her current project, with reports surfacing that she has in fact moved to London in order to thoroughly prepare for her role.

According to a source from RadarOnline (sounds reliable), “Lindsay’s convinced everyone in America is out to get her, but she’s had the opposite experience in London. She loves British culture and says people have treated her with respect for the first time in years. Now she’s looking into the immigration process and planning a full-time relocation.”

While all this sounds dandy, there have been rumors circulating of bad behavior at the same Moschino fashion show where she announced her plans to appear in Speed-the-Plow.

A source (do these people EVER have names) told The Daily Mirror that “Lindsay was dancing on the table and couches by the DJ booth. Her table were getting through a lot of Tequila Patron. Everyone was talking about her being smashed.”

Doesn’t seem London will be too much kinder to Lohan than America has been, but I’m hoping Lindsay will surprise us all and take this play by storm. Unless, of course, the whole thing is “a very grand and very sad delusion,” as the champs over at The Daily Beast say. Nice.
