  • Farrah Abraham Picks Fight With Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian After Nicki Minaj Twitter Feud Plays Out on “Kocktails With Khloe”

Farrah Abraham has taken the first swipe in picking a fight with Kendall Jenner. The Teen Mom OG star is upset over the way Kendall dissed her while on sister Khloe Kardashians new show, Kocktails With Khloe.

During the show, Farrah Abraham’s Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj came up, and guests Kym Whitley and Snoop Dogg played out the scenario with Snoop Dogg as Farrah Abraham and Whitley as Nicki Minaj.

Following the dramatic display, Khloe Kardashian had the group sit down to discuss the Farrah Abraham-Nicki Minaj ordeal.

“Farrah won that Twitter war because she stayed gracious right until the end when she called her boyfriend ugly,” guest Aisha Tyler said , adding that Nicki Minaj had called Farrah Abraham a “c–t” several times throughout the war of words.

    Kendall Jenner, however, completely disagreed.

“I don’t really agree with a lot of Farrah’s decisions in life. That’s why I’d say I’m on Nicki’s side,” she said.

“I’m Team Nicki all day every day,” Khloe Kardashian said.

Farrah Abraham took to Twitter not long after the Kocktails With Khloe episode aired, to bash both Kendall and Khloe.

    Eeewwww–burn.

Farrah Abraham hit back hard. Even though she is a former porn star, she went way below the belt when going in for a Kardashian diss.

Neither Kendall Jenner nor Khloe Kardashian yet replied to Farrah Abraham’s Twitter diss, but it’s safe to say a new war has now been waged on Twitter.

Will Nicki Minaj share her two cents worth in this new Twitter battle between Farrah Abraham and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians sisters?

  • Whitney Houston Headed Back Out on Tour–As A Hologram

Whitney Houston is headed back out on tour. Now that’s something, given she passed away more than three years ago.

All kidding aside, Whitney Houston is set to tour as a hologram, and make even more money for her estate.

In a collaboration between Pat Houston, who is President of the Whitney Houston Estates, and Greek billionaire Alki David, who is CEO of Hologram USA, arrangements have been made for Whitney Houston to tour again.

The performances will reportedly be similar to the one where Snoop Dogg interacted with Tupac at Coachella.

Alki David assures fans that he will “maintain absolute authenticity” when bringing Whitney Houston back to the concert stage. It won’t just be her performing, either. There will be a lot of narrative taking place as well.

Negotiations between Pat Houston and Alki David have been ongoing for about two years. David’s Hologram USA has created holograms shows for Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, and Liberace.

This doesn’t sound like the kind of thing that Cissy Houston–Whitney Houston’s mother–would appreciate. Yet she passed control of Whitney’s estate to Pat Houston, not believing she–in her later years–was up to such a responsibility.

The Houston family was recently rocked by the passing of Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. It would certainly be interesting to learn their feelings–especially Cissy’s–about Whitney Houston “coming back” to tour as a hologram.

What’s your take on these deceased performers like Whitney Houston being recreated in hologram form and going back out on tour?

Does some part of this seem tasteless to you?

  • Snoop Dogg Arrested in Sweden, Posts NSFW Vids to Instagram [Video]

Snoop Dogg Arrested in Sweden, Posts NSFW Vids to Instagram [Video]

Snoop Dogg had some trouble with the police in Sweden. The rapper was pulled over at a traffic stop, and when cops suspected he might be high, they hustled him in for a urine sample test.

The traffic stopped took place in Uppsala, Sweden. Snoop Dogg had given a concert in the area. The police in Uppsala told the Guardian, “Police carrying out roadside controls noticed that Snoop Dogg seemed to be under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested and taken to the police station to take a urine test. The incident lasted several minutes. Once the test was carried out, he left.”

But Snoop Dogg was livid. He started shooting video when the traffic stop happened, and continued shooting clips of video as he rode to the police station, while he waited for test results, and again after he was released and back in the United States.

“They took me down there, made me pee in a cup,” Snoop said in one video clip. “Didn’t find shit, though.”

“I ain’t did nothing. All I did was came to this country and did a concert and now I gotta go to the police station,” Snoop insisted. “Profile, racial profile. … like Minister Farrakhan say, ‘It’s better to be searched and not found with nothing than not to be searched at all.’ F**k ya’ll!”

The captions on his Instagram video posts reflected his frustration and anger at being taken in by the police.

“2 all my Sweden fans U can blame YA police dept for never seeing me again in your beautiful country. It’s always a few d***s that f**k it up for everybody its been real.”

“On my mamas im sick and tired of the pigs. N America n these countries that jus don’t respect us fuck that new me new u u do we do 2”

Some of his Instagram posts are on the general topic of racial profiling and police brutality.

“Racial profille is a everyday thang we have grown accustomed to it. Nfl. Not for long”

You can follow along here in chronological order as Snoop Dogg made record of his experience with the police in Sweden via social media.

  • Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Burke Try Out for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on ‘I Can Do That’ Finale

Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Burke Try Out for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on ‘I Can Do That’ Finale

Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Burke get a run for their money during the season finale of I Can Do That on Tuesday night, June 30th. The former Pussycat Dolls singer and the former Dancing With the Stars pro will audition for a spot with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

I Can Do That pairs celebrities Ciara, Joe Jonas, Alan Ritchson, and Jeff Dye–as well as Cheryl Burke and Nicole Scherzinger–with professionals in a variety of physical fields. The object is to determine if they can, in fact, ‘do that,’ regardless of what ‘that’ may be.

Tuesday night at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC, fans can find out whether or not Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Burke have what it takes to perform with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Given the fact that Scherzinger toured with the Pussycat Dolls and sang and danced on stage, surely she stands a chance–right? And Cheryl Burke is a professional dancer. She’s got it in the bag–don’t you imagine?

    Not so fast, it seems.

Cheryl Burke said during a clip promoting Tuesday night’s show that this new skill meant she “has to learn a whole different style of dancing.”

Nicole Scherzinger said, “I feel like I’ve auditioned and failed.”

In addition to Cheryl Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, and the I Can Do That regulars, the finale will also feature Snoop Dogg. He will be paired alongside Joe Jonas and Jeff Dye.

Will you be tuning in to watch the I Can Do That finale?

Do you think Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Burke have what it takes to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader?

  • Sheryl Crow to Highlight ‘The Voice’ Finale on Tuesday

Sheryl Crow is just one of the top performers who will take the stage at The Voice finale on Tuesday evening. The show has a history of bringing in exceptional guest singers, and the finale will be no exception.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan, John Fogerty, Ed Sheeran, and Meghan Trainor are all part of the lineup that now includes Sheryl Crow.

It was back in 2013 when Sheryl Crow last appeared on The Voice, when she served as a mentor for Blake Shelton’s team during season four. She also performed her song ‘Easy’ during that appearance.

Last week The Voice had a star-studded group of performers. Nate Ruess, Snoop Dogg, and Walk the Moon all visited the show during its semi-finals and gave stellar performances–right along with the contestants.

Since Sheryl Crow will take the stage on The Voice just ahead of the summer season, some are speculating whether or not she’ll perform one of her oldies but goodies, ‘Soak Up the Sun.’

No matter what she sings, Sheryl Crow will thrill the audience–as they await Wednesday’s results to learn who wins this season of The Voice.

  • Snoop Dogg Pic Lands Texas Trooper in Hot Water

It doesn’t matter who you are – if you see Snoop, you’re going to want to get a picture with Snoop.

But beware: if you work for the Texas Department of Public Safety, it could get you in a little bit of trouble.

A DPS trooper has been reprimanded and ordered into counseling after a photo of him and “known criminal” Snoop Dogg popped up on the rapper’s Instagram a couple of weeks ago.

“Me n my deputy dogg,” reads the photo caption, which doesn’t mention officer Billy Spears by name.

    Me n my deputy dogg

A photo posted by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on

Apparently it didn’t matter, as The Dallas Morning News obtained a copy of the official reprimand.

“While working a secondary employment job, Trooper Spears took a photo with a public figure who has a well-known criminal background including numerous drug charges. The public figure posted the photo on social media and it reflects poorly on the Agency,” said the memo from the Texas DPS.

The Department of Public Safety has issued an official statement on the matter:

“DPS does not typically discuss or release specifics of personnel issues unless they result in disciplinary action as outlined in Government Code 411.00755 and 411.0072. Supervisors counsel and coach employees on a regular basis, and these efforts do not constitute formal discipline by the department.”

Spears’ attorney says that he’s calling attention to the matter because trooper Spears lacks any proper recourse.

“It’s weird; it’s nuts and we’re waiting on DPS to explain itself,” he said. “Everyone keeps asking me if this is an April fool’s joke. I say ‘no, I promise it’s not.’”

Long story short, DPS has no chill.

  • Dr. Dre Is The Highest Paid Musician Of 2014

Rapper and producer Dr. Dre raked in an estimated $620 million in 2014, making him the highest-paid musician this year, ahead of Beyonce Knowles, who earned a measly $115 million, by comparison.

Dre, born Andre Romelle Young, made his 2014 millions through the sale of his bass-heavy Beats Electronics line of headphones and speakers to Apple Inc. for roughly $3 billion in May.

Rock band The Eagles came in at third place, after pulling in $100 million during their latest world tour. Bon Jovi came in at fourth on the list with $82 million, followed by Bruce Springsteen with $81 million.

Pop confection Justin Bieber made $80 million, British boy band One Direction netted $75 million, DJ Calvin Harris saw $66 million and “Roar” singer Katy Perry made $40 million.

Twerking sensation Miley Cyrus earned $36 million, and Lady Gaga pulled in $33 million.

Dre, the CEO of Aftermath Entertainment, has been associated with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar, and has been recognized as the creator of the West Coast G-Funk sound.

    Spring Break, Myrtle Beach, 1996:

Dr. Dre co-founded Beats Electronics with Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records CEO Jimmy Iovine in 2006. The rapper took to Youtube with Tyrese Gibson after selling his brand to Apple, declaring himself hip hop’s first billionaire:

Dre got his start as a member of the influential gangster rap group N.W.A, which featured Eazy-E, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella, and shot to superstardom after his 1992 solo album “The Chronic.”

Dr. Dre won a Grammy in 1993 for “Let Me Ride”:

  • Jared Leto and Snoop Dogg Invest Big in Reddit

Jared Leto and Snoop Dogg Invest Big in Reddit

What do Dallas Buyer’s Club star (and Oscar winner) Jared Leto, “Gin and Juice” rapper Snoop Dogg, Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen, Sequoia Capital’s Alfred Lin and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel have in common?

They’re all Redditors. And they just joined together to pony up $50 million to give the popular site a capital infusion.

Reddit, which bills itself as The Front Page of the Internet, is a different kind of place. Not quite as rough-hewn as 4Chan — though they do rub elbows — Reddit can be thought of as a forum where links are posted and upvoted or downvoted. But it’s not just a social bookmarking and ranking site.

Reddit is built from various categories of interest — called subreddits — that cater to nearly every taste, whim, fetish, and fancy imaginable. You can find material and discussions on anything from male fashion advice to atheism to cat pictures.

But there is more. Links to off-Reddit material are a big part, but so are pictures. The popular image-hosting site, Imgur, was created specifically for Reddit users to host on rather than wind up with dead links from other hosting sites.

Occasionally, their image-sharing ways have gotten Reddit in some hot water. A former subreddit (now eliminated) called Jailbait was seen by some as skirting the edge of underage pornography. The powers-that-be at Reddit nixed it.

But recently the release of tons of celebrity nudes, hacked from cloud storage accounts, was another scandal Reddit had to live down. The release didn’t even originally happen on Reddit, but members quickly disseminated the photos of Jennifer Lawrence and others in a wave of posting known as “The Fappening”. Moderators quashed the threads quickly, but not before tons of people got the photos.

Nonetheless, Reddit has earned its place in today’s Internet landscape. And celebs like Leto have joined with investors like Andreessen to help keep the lights on at Reddit.

Reddit is currently maintained by a staff of 60 people. Reddit’s mobile reach is limited to a few poorly-designed apps. They plan to use that $50 million to add some features, hire more staff, and build a mobile product.

  • Psy “Hangover” Video Featuring Snoop Dogg Goes Viral

Okay, raise your hand if you thought that Psy was going to be nothing more than a one-hit wonder after his massive, worldwide hit Gangnam Style? I mean, we saw the dance at every wedding and every club in 2012. Wasn’t that enough Psy for a lifetime?

Apparently not. Psy is back and in typical Psy fashion, the South Korean hitmaker has returned in a big way. This time Psy has hooked up with Snoop Dogg to create an odd party time hip-hop inspired music video that flaunts a shot-taking boozy night, followed up by a hangover-filled morning.

    Drink til you drunk
    Smoke like a broke’ stove
    Don’t quit take flight
    I can’t remember last night
It’s aight this the life of a superstar

Check out the unlikely dapper duo partying all night and puking the next morning, to only party again the next day:

Since being uploaded Sunday night, the Hangover video has been viewed more than 10 million times. That’s 10 million times in less than 20 hours.

It still has a ways to go to catch up with Gangnam Style, which surpassed the two billion hit mark. However, the immediate success of Hangover could mean that the song could easily contend for party anthem of the summer. So, it seems possible that Psy could have another ubiquitous hit that has staying power. Teaming up with Snoop Dogg certainly doesn’t hurt.

So far, the Twitter reaction has been mixed:

If you’re wondering if Psy and Snoop Dogg actually partied when the cameras stopped rolling, Psy reported to TMZ last month that, “We were hangover.”

What do you think of the video?

  • Snoop Dogg To Narrate “Call of Duty: Ghosts”

Snoop Dogg To Narrate “Call of Duty: Ghosts”

Looking for a little Snooopism in your gaming system?

Customers who buy the new voice pack for “Call of Duty: Ghosts” are in for a special treat. Game developer Infinity Ward has officially announced the Snoop Dogg voice pack as the game’s default announcer. The rap mogul will give a play by play of your firefights and alert a player to enemy danger.

So if you’re in the middle of all out war, you can expect to hear excellent commentary like, “Homie is out the joint, it’s party time,” or “Rack up points by reaching the enemy portal, ya dog?”

Snoop Dogg, formerly known as Snoop Lion, spoke of how the developers captured his distinct style, “I think the writers did a good job in creating the lines specifically for me.” He added, “They knew my flavor, and they allowed me to do my thing and put a little Snoopism on top of it.”

The laid back attitude of Snoop’s commentary will juxtapose the Drill Instructor pack, which is voiced by R. Lee Ermey who played Gny. Sgt. Hartman in Stanley Kubrick’s classic Vietnam war film Full Metal Jacket.

Snoop talked about what drew him to the project, “What interests me the most about the project is that my voice can be connected with a game that’s so hip and so hood. It says a lot and it’s associated with greatness.”

The custom extra will be available on April 22 for $2.99 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Playstation and other systems will soon follow.

  • ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts” Gets Snoop Dogg’s Voice

On the surface, the Call of Duty franchise is a very serious military shooter series that focuses on intense multiplayer competition. Fans of the series, however, will know just how silly the franchise has become in recent years. The Zombies mode in Black Ops games has become progressively sillier since its debut and even Call of Duty: Ghosts now has some rather out-of-place cameos. The first Ghosts DLC pack included a Halloween-inspired Michael Myers skin for players and the latest DLC includes a similar Predator-themed skin.

Today Activision announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be taking the series to a new level of silliness. The publisher has revealed that Snoop Dogg himself will be lending his voice to Ghosts.

As part of Call of Duty: Ghost‘s new “Voice Packs” DLC add-on content players will soon be able to put Snoop Dogg’s voice into their game. The voice pack will bring Snoop Dogg’s voice to narrate ongoing multiplayer action, call in killstreaks, and announce other in-game events.

The voice pack was previewed in a video released today on the Call of Duty YouTube channel. Snoop Dogg’s quips include phrases such as “Squad member active, a brother from another mother,” and “Don’t stop, cap ’em and shank ’em.”

The Snoop Dogg voice pack is part of a larger list of “Personalization Packs” add-on that will be released via Xbox Live on April 22. The add-ons will also come to PlayStation consoles and PC at a later date. The Snoop Dogg voice pack will cost $3.

In addition to Snoop Dogg’s voice another add-on will be a drill instructor voice pack voiced by R. Lee Ermey.

The list of upcoming add-ons also includes the “Soap Legend Pack” (includes Captain John “Soap” MacTavish personalizations), the “Classic Ghost Pack” (includes the Ghost mask), the “Squad Pack for Extinction mode (includes heads and uniforms for characters), and six new weapon customization packs.

  • Martha Stewart Offers Best Sex Advice on Reddit

Martha Stewart Offers Best Sex Advice on Reddit

Reddit is like the Pinterest for men providing enormous amounts of random facts, stories, pictures and endless hours of entertainment.

Every so often Reddit dedicates a portion of their entertaining tactics to the ever-popular AMA’s. Not familiar? The AMA’s or “Ask Me Anything” category invites different people from interesting walks of life (celebs included) to an open forum where Reddit users can literally ask them anything.

The 72-year-old homemaker was asked some pretty interesting and rather hilarious questions. Unbelievably, Stewart answered them with grace and humbleness making her even more like-able.

Stewart even went as far as divulging some interesting sex advice.

When asked about her best sex tip she replied by saying, “Always take a bath before and after.”

    Yes. She did.

A fan responded with, “Do it DURING a bath. Kills two birds with one stone.” Stewart replied with, “That’s good too, and don’t forget to brush your teeth.”

And if you thought the prison talk wouldn’t come up, don’t fret-it did. When asked if she had a nickname in prison she replied with, “I think I did, but I can’t remember. …I don’t think about the past.”

“I would not EVER, EVER deface my body with tattoos,” she replied when asked if she got inked up while behind bars.

And perhaps the favorite question asked was about her unlikely friendship with Snoop Dogg.

“I wish I were closer friends with Snoop Dogg.”

  • Snoop Dogg’s Smoking Causes Fire Department To Come

Now it’s no surprise that rapper Snoop Dogg has a passion for smoking the green stuff. In fact, he’s built a whole career around it, so perhaps it’s not shocking to hear that he was caught lighting up in his Australian hotel room.

But what might be surprising is that Snoop was puffing away so much, the hotel staff believed a fire was coming from his room, and the fire department showed up.

According to TMZ, the 42-year-old was in Australia for a performance, and he set off the hotel’s fire alarm while smoking. From there, the fire department raced up to his room, but only found a very high Snoop, and no fire, which was obviously to the relief of the fire department as well as the hotel staff.

But here’s the funny part: The firemen stuck around to appear in some photos with the rapper that he later posted to his Instagram account. “Blew it down,” wrote Snoop on the photo, which shows two men in fire-fighting equipment looking happy as ever. A second photo shows the California native standing with four firemen, with the caption “Fire dept shut it down” attached to the picture.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Snoop talked about his love for the Chronic and how he likes to smoke with his son. He said if he tried to play the stern-parent-role, he would only be making himself look foolish, which many folks would probably disagree with.

“My kids can do whatever the hell they want,” he said. “For me to say otherwise would be hypocritical. A lot of motherf—ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow. I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me.”

  • Snoop Dogg Wins Visa Battle, Cleared To Perform In Australian Tour Despite Protests

It looks like rapper-actor Snoop Dogg will be heading to Australia after all! Despite relentless efforts to ban his entry into the country on account of his blatantly misogynistic lyrics, he has been granted an Australian work visa.

According to MSN Music, thousands of Australians actually signed the petition, which was a request to have the United States rapper’s visa revoked before to his upcoming tour.

However, it appears he cut the deadline rather close since the tour is scheduled to begin this weekend. Snoop is slated to perform as the No. 3 headliner for the Big Day Out festival, which is set to begin on Saturday, Jan. 19 on the Gold Coast in Brisbane.

While the news may be considered a relief for event organizers and promoters, the platinum-selling rapper’s appearance won’t receive any positive feedback from the Collective Shout group.

The petition which was started by feminist Talitha Stone, has received more than 3,500 signatures in compliance with the request to have the rapper banned. On the Collective Shout website, the organization includes a letter addressed to the Australian Immigration Minister Scott Morrison, asking him to, “revoke pimp rapper Snoop Dogg’s visa.”

“Snoop Dogg’s lyrics glorify violence against women,” the letter says.  “As a society which claims to be serious about eradicating violence against women,” the letter concludes, “there should be no place for recording artists who glorify misogyny and degrade women for entertainment. Welcoming artists like Snoop Dogg sends a message that we don’t take our obligations to address violence against women seriously.”

However, Morrison has informed reporters that Snoop does have a visa, reports Billboard. With the official clearance, it has been confirmed that Snoop will, indeed, be performing at the Big Day Out festival this Saturday.

The concert will then travel to Melbourne on the 24th, followed by a stop in Sydney on the 26th, and Adelaide on the 31st. The Australian traveling concert will conclude in Perth on February 1st.

  • Snoop Dogg Advertises for Intern–Want A Job?

Snoop Dogg is seeking an intern. Might you be up for the position? The Dogg is looking to hire an intern for one day and all you’re required to have on your resume is a big heart—and a fat wallet.

As you can see from Snoop Dogg’s video, he is looking for donations for his charity, The Snoop Youth Football League. And anyone who donates gets a shot at the intern position.

Spending a day with Snoop Dogg might not appeal to everyone, but to those who are fans, it would no doubt be a Doggystyle dream come true. He assures whomever wins the day will consist of getting “some grub at the best food spots in LA.”

Of course there is a bit of a catch. The more you donate, the bigger your chances are of being chosen as the intern. And while that will certainly leave out a lot of big Snoop Dogg fans, you must admit his heart is in the right place. The whole idea is, after all, to benefit the children.

That’s apparently not the only fun thing Snoop Dogg has up his sleeve right now either. He recently tweeted about a contest involving personal Christmas stories. Have you sent him yours yet?

It certainly sounds like fans have a wonderful opportunity to both give and receive where Snoop Dogg is concerned. Will you be donating to his charity in hopes of spending a day as his intern?

  • Snoop Dogg Wants You To Be His Intern

Snoop Dogg Wants You To Be His Intern

Snoop Dogg is just looking out for the kids. In a recent promotional video, Snoop Dogg released his latest campaign: the chance to work for the Dogg himself for a day. All you need to enter is to make a small donation to Snoop Dogg’s charity, The Snoop Youth Football League, and you may be chosen to be flown out to Los Angeles and be an “intern” for 24 hours. And doesn’t everyone want that on their resume?

The campaign, sponsored by Prizeo, was designed to raise awareness for Snoop’s charity. The Snoop Football League is a 501c3 non-profit that gives inner city kids the chance to participate in a football league and to “lean the values of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and self respect.”

So what exactly do the duties as an intern for Snoop Dogg entail? Well, as the Dogg puts it in the video, “We’ll do some fun sh*t, you know, eat some Roscoes chicken and waffles.” The official contest page says, “You’ll get a look inside the Snoop world and help get some work done – maybe on the set of GGN Hood News, or backstage with DJ Snoopadelic.” Not sure what other “recreational” activities Snoop Dogg has planned for his one-day intern, but Snoop claims, “I’ll make sure you have a dope time with me in L.A.”

You can donate to the cause here on Prizeo’s website. The promotion runs until January 31st, so there’s plenty of time to get donations in. The official rules also state that you may bring a guest and will receive a two night stay in a luxury hotel (ARV: $600), which sweetens the deal. Plus the more you donate, the greater your chances of winning. However, the website’s leaderboard shows donations already made of up to $500, so if you really want to be Snoop’s intern, you’re going to have to open up that wallet.

  • Suge Knight Stopped by Cops, Guns Drawn

Suge Knight Stopped by Cops, Guns Drawn

Embattled hip hop mogul Suge Knight was stopped by cops with their guns drawn on him in L.A. on Friday afternoon, in what wound up being a case of mistaken identity. The L.A.P.D. had received a report of an assault, with the assailant matching Suge Knight’s description.

Knight accompanied the cops back to the police station, where everyone verified he was not, in fact, the man they were looking for. The police now say the initial report may have been a bogus one. Knight isn’t happy about what happened, and is now considering filing a lawsuit against the L.A.P.D. over what they are calling a misunderstanding.

Suge Knight spoke recently about the 20-year anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s debut album, Doggystyle. In a rare interview with Rolling Stone magazine, he recalled some of the tensions that surrounded both Snoop Dogg and the record’s release.

“Snoop is an artist that is a great artist. So it’s good to give him his props about how great Doggystyle was. What made Doggystyle historic is the work on it,” he said. “If you look at the album cover, everybody sued us and said it was degrading women. But even the guys who did the artwork, who wrote songs, who participated in videos, they were guys who were either wearing red or wearing blue. . . and it was a situation where they all got along. We’d go places and you might see twenty blue rags and twenty red rags. And that was never before seen.”

Just three days ago, Suge was quoted in an interview for HipHop DX, discussing the influences of West Coast rap. He mentioned Kris Kross, Da Brat, 50 Cent, and the late Notorious B.I.G., and said how much their sounds were all influenced by it.

Suge Knight is popping up just about everywhere lately–in magazines and online interviews. He likely didn’t expect to pop up having his picture taken as he leaned on a car, being frisked by cops–all while many of those cops pointed guns at him, however. That’s one scenario he definitely doesn’t want replayed–and it sounds like he might even plan to do something about it.

It didn’t take long for Twitter followers to chime in.

Do you think Suge Knight was really stopped in a case of mistaken identity or was he stopped for his past arrests–or perhaps even his association with the people he has worked with since Death Row Records began?

  • Eddie Murphy Appears on “Arsenio”

    Eddie Murphy Appears on “Arsenio”

It’s been 25 years since audiences roared with laughter while watching Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in the hit comedy, Coming to America. The duo, who also appeared together in Harlem Nights, chatted about their experiences on Arsenio’s new talk show last night.

Hall even asked Murphy why they never did a sequel to Coming to America. Murphy responded in his token African Prince voice how the lawsuits came pouring in after his portrayal of Prince Akeem. “When Coming to America came out, there were a bunch of lawsuits…with guys who claimed to be this and that. I’d be up in the club and this African dude would run up on me like, ‘I am the real prince! You stole my life from me!”

Eddie Murphy was a regular guest on Hall’s hit talk show back in the 1990s, appearing a total of six different times. So people started wondering where Eddie was when Hall started his new talk show simply called Arsensio, back in September. Rumors began to spread that the friends had some kind of falling out. However, Hall put the rumors to rest when he announced that his old buddy would be back on the couch in order to promote his new album “9” which features a single with Snoop Dogg called “Red Light.”

Hall released a statement last week announcing Murphy’s appearance. “The questions I have been asked more times than any others since announcing I would be coming back to late night are ‘Will Eddie be a guest?’ and ‘When is Eddie stopping by?’ The answers are ‘yes’ and ‘November 19.’ I can’t wait to get one of my best friends back on the couch and maybe he’ll even sing a little reggae for us.”

Here’s a clip from the hilarious interview:

  • Kate Upton & Snoop Dogg Are Now Selling Hot Pockets

Good job, Hot Pockets. You’ve hit on everything the internet loves – Kate Upton, microwavable meat pouches, that Biz Markie song, and fantastic “herbs,” which Snoop Dogg knows a thing or two about:

    Tastes so good
    Gotta lick your lips
    Smell my savory garlic
    but don’t disturb
    The garden where I grow
    flavor-fantastic-al herbs
    …his flavor-fantastical herbs.

We’re still talking about Hot Pockets, right?

Also, is the Snoop Lion thing already over?

  • Snoop Dogg: Son Says Kiffin Firing Was Overdue

After the news broke today that Lane Kiffin was fired from Southern Cal, rapper Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, said that the firing was overdue. Broadus is being recruited by the Trojans, but hasn’t yet signed with anyone. Such a situation would be a turnoff for a lot of recruits, but it looks like Kiffin’s firing could play in the Trojans’ favor.

Broadus told 247Sports, “I feel that he should have been fired a while ago and USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year and I’m anxious to see what they are going to look like.” Broadus is one of the top ten wide receivers in the Class of 2015, and in addition to Southern Cal, he has received offers from California, UCLA and Arizona State.

Snoop Dogg’s son wasn’t the only recruit happy to hear that Kiffin was let go. Other recruits said that the firing “wasn’t a real shock” and that they “knew it was coming.” One recruit, Joseph Wicker, even said that he was “a little happy” to hear that Kiffin was fired. In the meantime, Ed Orgeron has been named the interim head coach for the Trojans and no other firings have been announced, so perhaps that well help Southern Cal maintain their current recruits.

Southern Cal announced Kiffin’s firing this morning after the Trojans lost their game against Arizona State on Saturday 62-41. This puts the Trojans at 3-2 for the season, and Kiffin has won only 4 out of his past 11 games. Kiffin was hired at Southern Cal in 2010 after being the head coach at Tennessee for one season. Kiffin’s best season was in 2011, when his team went 11-2. Otherwise, his performance as the Southern California head coach hasn’t been much to speak of.

Kiffin has never been a fan favorite, which shows in some of the comments posted to Twitter since his firing was announced:

And in case Kiffin’s Twitter account (which is pretty much dedicated to the Trojans) gets deactivated, here is his final tweet as Southern Cal head coach:

  • Brian Williams Raps Snoop Dogg, Kind of [VIDEO]

If you were looking for a mashup of clips that makes it seem like NBC News anchor Brian Williams is rapping Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s classic hit “Nuthin but a ‘G’ Thang,” well, you’re in luck. Thanks to the fine folks at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, your quest is over.

If that news anchor thing doesn’t work out, Mr. Williams sure has a future in gangsta rap. Or maybe his daughter could get him some work on HBO.
