  • Idina Menzel Clears Rumors About Frozen Sequel

Idina Menzel Clears Rumors About Frozen Sequel

Idina Menzel who voiced Princess Elsa in last year’s hit Disney pic Frozen remains unsure about the status of the sequel to the original film. In an interview with Here & Now, the 43-year-old singer-actress backtracked her claims that a sequel is in the works. “I said ‘I’m sure something’s in the works,’” she explained her Telegraph interview that was made headlines last week.

“I just assume that because it’s so successful that that’s what they’re up to.”

The former Broadway star reiterated that it’s up to Disney if they want to create a follow-up to the massively successful 3-D animated film. Frozen captured the hearts of children everywhere and ended up earning more than $1.2 billion dollars at the box office, making it the highest grossing animated film of all time.

Even if there’s no confirmation about the sequel yet, Menzel expressed her interest in returning for the sequel to voice one of the princesses featured in the film. “We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride,” she said during her appearance on The Today Show.

The Academy Award winning film will be translated into a Broadway show next year. Analysts from the House of Mouse reported that the film is now considered as one of the company’s top 5 franchises. Disney Chairman and Chief Executive Robert Iger said that fans should expect that Disney would take advantage of the popularity status of the series.

Menzel performed the hit song “Let It Go” at the CMA Country Christmas show that aired on ABC. She shared the stage with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles who also hosted the program. Menzel is busy promoting her new Christmas album called “Holiday Wishes” which she had dedicated to her lovely five-year old son. “The holidays were always a weird time for me, so now that I have a little boy, it’s sort of an opportunity to rewrite that.”

  • Meghan Trainor Releases Video For “Lips Are Movin”

Meghan Trainor, the singer behind the hit song “All about That Bass”, has just released the video for her second single “Lips Are Movin’”. The song offers more than a few nods to “All about That Bass”, from the instrumentation, the songwriting, and even a couple of lyrical send-ups to her debut single. The video features Trainor singing and dancing in front of colorful backgrounds. The singer talked about the video with MTV News when they interviewed her during the shoot.

Trainor says, “This video is going to be awesome because it’s not just a story or a theme of ‘here’s a boy and here’s me and me yelling at him.’ It’s like, ‘Here’s me being sassy and other people dancing with me and having just a good time and trying to get through this feeling of, Ugh he’s cheating on me again.’ Like, ‘I know you’re lying, but that’s OK because I’m gonna find the next guy. I’m good.’”

Meghan also teamed up with HP to get some of the biggest superstars in social media sites like Vine, Youtube, and Instagram to help make the video. “I love HP for doing this with me. It’s the first time any artist has done this, which is pretty risky,” Trainor said about the collaboration. The internet stars were involved in the video in various capacities, from appearing in cameos to helping out with the choreography and the production.

“We have all these beautiful sets here. We have different colors and I usually wear all black-on-black because I don’t like a lot of colors,” Trainor said. “But I thought this was so cute and fun and my blonde hair looks great with pink behind me, so I think it will be fun.”

Trainor will be releasing her debut album, Title, on January 13. The record will also feature “All about That Bass”, which has spent 18 weeks so far on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

  • Susan Boyle: “I’m King Kong’s Mother!”

Susan Boyle: “I’m King Kong’s Mother!”

Susan Boyle has always been described as eccentric or unpredictable. She used to chalk it up to brain damage due to being starved from oxygen at birth. That is, until she was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome just last year. In a lengthy interview with The Daily Mail, the singer talked about her struggle with Asperger’s, which is a form of autism. “I’m the only artist who needs a leash! I’m King Kong’s mother!” Boyle said about her condition which makes her susceptible to wild mood swings.

Boyle adds, “Off stage, [my bad behavior] happens lots. It always has. But I’m getting better at dealing with it because I know what it is.” Oddly enough, the singer confessed that performing provides a respite to her troubles. “It never happens on stage. It seems to make me feel better. When I’m up on stage, even if I’ve had a bad day, I can become a different person. I feel safe. I don’t feel judged up there. I feel accepted.”

Ever since the diagnosis, Boyle has found ways to deal with her condition. “If I feel I’m going to take a mood swing, I get up and leave. I’ve learnt that is the only way,” she said in the interview after a particularly bad episode. She hopes that talking about it will take away the stigma from the condition. “People with Asperger’s do put a barrier up because they don’t know how to trust people. I try not to. I want to let people in.”

It seems that Boyle has a perfect grasp on how to live despite being diagnosed with with Asperger’s. According to Boyle, “It’s a very difficult subject to talk about because you always feel that eyes are on you, and people view you as different. I like to see myself as someone with a problem, but one I can solve. It is definitely getting better.”

Boyle recently embarked on a successful US tour and she will be putting out her new album Hope on November 24.

  • Clay Aiken Facing Sabotage Of Congressional Campaign With Stolen Signs

On Friday, a man in Sanford was reportedly cited for stealing signs used in the campaign for congressional candidate Clay Aiken. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a man named Jonathon Lee Gonia, 31 years old, was served with a criminal summons for removal of election or political signs. Gonia is reportedly scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

The Lee County Democratic Party apparently received a report on Thursday evening that someone was removing Aiken’s signs at the intersection of Jefferson Davis and Center Church roads. A description of the man provided by a witness was matched to Gonia, along with information such as the license tag of the vehicle he was driving.

The witness spoke to Gonia, who claimed that he worked for the Democratic Party and was removing the Clay Aiken signs because they were obstructing his view.

“Based on the evidence that we have in the investigation, it appears that [Gonia] stole the signs,” said Lee County Sheriff Tracy Carter.

However, according to a statement issued by Gonia and his lawyer, Ed Page, Gonia was removing Aiken’s signs because they were placed within three feet from the road and obstructing the view of motorists.

“Mr. Gonia removed unlawfully placed signs and returned them to Lee County Democrat Headquarters. We fully believe that it was lawful to remove these unlawfully placed signs,” said Page.

Meanwhile, Aiken embarked on a three-week bus tour across US House District 2 starting with a rally in Cary, North Carolina on Tuesday, October 14. Aiken will be hosting town hall meetings, attending local events and meeting constituents throughout his tour.

Aiken is running against Republican Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, and will be facing her in a forum being hosted by the Sanford Herald newspaper when his tour bus moves to Sanford from Cary.

  • Carrie Underwood Talks About Her Pregnancy On ‘Today’ Show

For the first time since she announced her pregnancy on September 1, singer Carrie Underwood wore her baby bump proudly onstage at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday, September 27. The event is on its third year and aims to end extreme poverty by 2030. It was held in Central Park in New York City.

Underwood performed the song “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M. wearing a short, black ensemble that only slightly concealed her growing baby bump. DailyMail reported that Underwood worked the stage, singing and engaging the crowd with lots of energy. Underwood apparently performed in front of 48,000 people alongside the likes of DJ Tiesto, Jay Z and The Roots.

The day before the Global Citizen Festival, Underwood made a guest appearance on the Today show and spoke about her pregnancy as well as her musical projects. Underwood revealed the novel way in which the festival gave away free tickets to the concert, which was to require people to sign up for acts of community service through the website www.globalcitizen.org.

When host Hoda Kotb asked her how she was dealing with the prospect of being a mother, Underwood replied, “It’s still kind of weird to be honest. Sometimes I’ll be with my husband and I’ll be like, ‘I’m going to be a mom and you’re going to be a dad. Is this real life?’ But we’re really excited.” Underwood is married to hockey player Mike Fisher, who is also the father of her baby.

Underwood added that she would try to model herself after her mother, whom she said was “wonderful.”

She also talked about her new single “Something In The Water,” which was also released on September 29. The song is part of her upcoming album titled Greatest Hits: Decade #1 and was co-written by Chris DeStefano and Brett James.

“It’s really kind of a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and kind of having that ‘a-ha’ moment, to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward,” Underwood said on Today last Friday.

  • Mariah Carey: No. 1 On Time’s Ultimate Pop Stardom List

Singing legend Mariah Carey may be having a tough year in her personal life, but her pop star status in 2014 is cemented and secure. Time has given the multi-awarded singer the top spot on “The Ultimate Ranking of Pop Stardom,” which they compiled by examining the top 10 hits on the Billboard charts from 1960 to the present. For each week that a song was on the charts, points were assigned to the artists.

Carey landed No. 1 on Time’s list because of the longevity of her career and for having major years of success. Over 19 years, Carey scored several top 10 records, and had two years when she scored more than 300 points: in 1995 and 2005. Only 19 times in Time’s analysis did artists score over 300 points in one year, and the fact that Carey’s years were a decade apart speaks volumes about her ability to connect with new generations of music fans.

The artist in second place on the list was Rihanna, who also bagged two years with over 300 points, in 2008 and 2010. She is followed by Usher, The Beatles and Madonna in third, fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Usher was found to have had the best performing year in 2004 with the songs “Burn,” “Confessions Part II,” “My Boo” and “Yeah!” spending a total of 26 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Musical supergroup The Beatles came in second for the year 1964, when they had 11 top 10 singles and six songs at the No. 1 spot.

Other musical legends that made it to the list of top 50 pop stars include Michael Jackson (No. 8), Elton John (No. 11), Whitney Houston (No. 7) and Stevie Wonder (No. 12). However, many relatively new artists also made the list, such as Katy Perry (No. 9), Beyonce (No. 15) and Bruno Mars (No. 17). Ingénue Miley Cyrus impressively landed on the list with a relatively young career at No. 50.

  • Whitney Houston’s Daughter Bobbie Kristina Lashes Out At Angela Bassett

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is not happy about the Lifetime biopic about her late mother.

Angela Bassett, who worked with Houston in the 1995 movie Waiting To Exhale, is making her directorial debut for the late singer’s biopic. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bassett said that she never thought of casting Bobbi Kristina for several reasons. “One being that she’s not an actress. I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on their family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft,” she said.

The 21-year-old Bobbi Kristina took to Twitter to show her anger towards Bassett’s statement. “When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes1st, I’ll be sure 2shout URname out bitch! hahUrTestResults=MALE. Lmao,” she tweeted. Reports also stated that Bobbi Kristina called Bassett a “bassketcase.” Bobbi Kristina deleted the tweet from her account.

America’s Next Top Model alum Yaya DaCosta is set to play Houston’s role. DaCosta has been working as an actress since she was a child and she also had recurring roles in Ugly Betty and All My Children.

Bassett also said that the biopic will attempt to shed light on the “complexities of human behavior and life.” However, they have a very tight schedule and they only have 21 days to tell the entire story. Bassett explained that it’s not merely about memorizing lines. “You have to drive the story – there’s a technical aspect.”

Whitney Houston’s family thinks the biopic is ‘cheap’.

Sources said that Nina Terrero, who conducted the interview with Bassett, said that the 55-year-old actress said her comments about Bobbi Kristina “without a hint of malice.” She also said that Bassett is a sweet woman and an established actress who “has everything to lose” with the Houston biopic.

Bassett has not commented on Bobbi Kristina’s outburst and even shared the interview to her followers on Twitter.

  • Jennifer Hudson Rocks BET Awards, Debuts New Song With R. Kelly

There were many show-stopping performances at the 2014 BET Awards and Jennifer Hudson was one of those who shined.

Chris Rock introduced the American Idol alum by saying, “The one thing she didn’t lose at Weight Watchers was her voice.”

The 32-year-old singer-actress rocked the entire Nokia Theater and started her amazing performance by singing “Walk It Out” donning a short black leather dress and thigh-length boots. The sexy look was a great match to her pixie cut and bright red lipstick. She strutted down the aisle of the theater while the audience stood up and danced with her.

When Hudson hit the stage, she then transitioned to her new song “It’s Your World” featuring R. Kelly, although he was not present.

Dancers on roller skates surrounded Hudson and there were flashing lights and disco balls all around. Although the set was amazing, Hudon’s powerhouse voice was the star of the performance. After performing, she garnered a round of applause and a standing ovation from the audience including Tyrese. Her performance was one that didn’t disappoint.

Hudson first announced “It’s Your World” on her Twitter account by saying, “I’m gonna be performing a brand new track on the betawards for yal tmrw night!!”

Right after the BET Awards, Hudson released an official teaser for her upcoming album. The full version of “It’s Your World” leaked a day after her BET performance. Other samples included on the official snippet include “He Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” “Walk It Out,” and “Dangerous.”

Her new album is scheduled to be released this year. She described the album as more “upbeat” than her previous albums. Hudson worked with R. Kelly, RedOne, Pharrell Williams, and Timbaland. “It’s not dance dance, but it’s soulful dance. It’s very 70’s kinda style,” she said.

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole is turning her sexy on for the video of her new single “She.” The track was released last week. The song will be featured on her new upcoming album “Point of No Return,” which is slated to be released this fall.

On Thursday, Cole teased her fans by posting sexy pictures of herself in white lingerie with the hashtags #she and #shevideo.

When “She” was released, there was a lot of buzz about the song, as Cole sings about being in a relationship with another woman. Down to try something different / Lips and legs, soft skin so feminine / Curves like me, covered in my cherry scent / Them boys love some you / But I ain’t mad cause you look good on me too.

With the release of the pictures from the video, there is more buzz about Cole’s new single. Some are saying that she is wearing a wedding corset. Could there be a wedding celebration in the new video?

In March, Cole said in an interview that she and husband Daniel Gibson were separated, but they would be taking care of their four-year-old son. “No matter how much I dislike this man, It’ll never be to a point where he can’t see his son, period.” She confirmed their separation after months of divorce and cheating rumors.

Last month, Gibson also shared his views on the collapse of his marriage with Cole. He said, “What happened with me and her was that our relationship was out there for everyone to see. So whenever we were going through our problems, it became public and everyone saw the ups and downs.”

As for the “She” video, fans will just have to wait until the release before they can see if there is indeed a wedding waiting to happen.

  • Aretha Franklin Says She’s A Wal-Mart Power-Walker

    Aretha Franklin Says She’s A Wal-Mart Power-Walker

In January, Aretha Franklin cancelled concerts due to poor health. On Wednesday, the “Queen of Soul” made a guest appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael to perform and share her workout routine. Franklin admitted that she indulges in food from restaurants such as Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel, and really enjoys eating chicken and dumplings. However, she came up with an exercise routine to burn off the extra calories.

The 72-year-old singer said that she regularly walks down store aisles to get exercise. “The biggest ones, K-Mart, Meijer, Wal-Mart. I really don’t like to break my stride when I’m walking so I change aisles really quickly,” she told the hosts.

In an interview with New York Post, Franklin also discussed her walking regimen, saying that she walks about three times a week. “If people are in the aisle and the store happens to be crowded that day, I go to other aisles,” she said.

Franklin also discussed her new album and said that it should be finished “no later than July 8.” Her new album will consist of covers from other divas like herself. “One of the things I’m working on is ‘Rolling in the Deep’ by Adele. We may even do ‘Bootylicious.’ I love the beat!”

Other hits that will be included in the album are Gladys Knight’s “Midnight Train to Georgia,” and Barbara Streisand’s “People.” The album does not have a title yet, but will be produced by Andre 3000 of OutKast and Babyface.

Just last month, Harvard University awarded Franklin an honorary Doctor of Arts degree for her contribution and success in the music industry. She is also the most charted female artist on Billboard, and is the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . Furthermore, Franklin has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 18 Grammys, and is a recipient of The Presidential Medal of Freedom.

  • Lana Del Rey’s New Album Consists Of Songs She Was Meant To Sing

Lana Del Rey’s first full-length album “Born to Die” had mixed reviews and only had a few hit singles. The songs in her album labelled her as a sad pop star who sent mixed messages with the lyrics of her songs. Del Rey, however, was able to redeem herself with her second full-length album called “Ultraviolence.”

“Ultraviolence” consists of great tracks that Del Rey was meant to sing, critics say. And although some say the lyrics to the songs are somewhat depressing, they give off an old-time glamour that is rare among today’s artists.

Much has changed since Del Rey’s first album. She sought help from the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach to produce eight tracks out of the 11 in her new album. The result is magical, as the “stripped down” songs lifts Del Rey’s voice to the level where it is meant to be.

‘Shades of Cool’ From Lana Del Rey’s New Album ‘Ultraviolence’

Reviews said that with “Ultraviolence” Del Rey sounds like she is comfortable in her own skin. The songs also match Del Rey’s powerful, yet cool voice.

However, “Ultraviolence” also has its flaws. Based on reviews, some songs contained warbling vocals. Other say that a few tracks verge on boring. The lyrics are not far off from the depressing lines from “Born to Die.”

Based on Billboard’s review, “Ultraviolence” is a record that talks about young women who fall for abusive guys who drive expensive cars and use drugs.

In one of the tracks “Cruel World” Del Rey sings about lowlifes who mingle with men that carry handguns and drugs. It seems that Del Rey is in love with the image of a damaged beauty queen maybe because she sees herself that way.

‘Cruel World’ by Lana Del Rey

With “Ultraviolence,” Del Rey has finally found her sweet spot in the music industry, and she is not sharing the spotlight with anyone else. She’s neither pop, nor R&B, and she should be happy exactly where she is.

However, just before the cancellation, Campbell was able to perform in tiptop shape at the Hollywood Bowl. • George Michael Beats Kylie Minogue To No.1 Spot On UK Album Chart

Multi-awarded British singer George Michael surpassed Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue on the UK album charts this week. Michael’s album entitled “Symphonica”, is his seventh chart-topping album in the UK, and his first new album in almost a decade.

“Symphonica” sold just over 20,000 copies more than Minogue’s album “Kiss Me Once”. The two artists have dominated the British charts since the 1980’s, but Michael clearly took out the competition this week.

American rapper Pharrell Williams took the number 3 spot with his second solo album entitled “G I R L”, while rising British singer Paloma Faith fell two notches down to number four with her album, “A Perfect Contradiction”. Last week’s top album was “The Take Off and Landing of Everything” by British alternative rock band Elbow. They fell four notches this week to the number five spot.

On the UK singles chart, British DJ Duke Dumont’s collaboration with Jax Jones entitled “I Got U” took the top spot, while Route 94’s “My Love” placed second. John Legend’s “All of Me” climbed three places from last week to number three. Pharell Williams’ Oscar-nominated single “Happy” dropped one notch to number four, while Canadian duo Dvbbs and Borgeous’ collaboration with Tinie Tempah entitled “Tsunami” slipped from number one last week to number five.

George Michael recorded “Symphonica” during his World Tour in 2011. Prior to “Symphonica”, his last number one album was “Twenty Five”, which featured Michael’s greatest hits as a celebration of his 25 years in the music industry. It contained songs from both Michael’s solo career and his earlier years with Andrew Ridgeley in Wham!. “Symphonica” is Michael’s first live album and his first set of new recordings since he released “Patience” in 2004. It features six original compositions by Michael, as well as song covers. The album was the final work of acclaimed record producer Phil Ramone, who passed away in 2013.

  • Cody Simpson Dances The Cha Cha Cha On Dancing With The Stars

Australian pop singer Cody Simpson graced the stage of Dancing with the Stars on its 2-hour premiere episode for season 18.

Other celebrities joining this season are Drew Carey, Amy Purdy, Billy Dee Williams, Sean Avery, NeNe Leakes, Candace Cameron Bure, Meryl Davis, James Maslow, Charlie White, Diana Nyad, and Danica McKellar.

The premiere show had each pair dancing a contemporary routine–the foxtrot or cha cha. Simpson, together with his professional dance partner Witney Carson, danced the cha cha to the tune of Timber by Pitbull. The pair did a great job and garnered praise from the judges.

Bruno: “Fresh, cool, spunky! A lovely individual style.”

Carrie Anne: “You are fantastic on the upper body.”

Len: “Full of confidence, full of attack, full of energy!”

They got a total score of 22 out of 30 points – 7 from Carrie Anne, 7 from Len, and 8 from Bruno.

The dancing show changed its format, and for the first time, viewers will have the power to vote and switch up the dancer-celebrity pairs. Everyone in the competition will be affected with this new rule, as they are required to switch partners at any point in the season.

March 17 was a special day for the 17-year-old pop star, as it is not only the start of his dancing gig, but also the day when his new single entitled Surfboard was released. The new single shies away from his previous works that are standard pop songs. This song might also be a hint of what the pop star’s third album is going to sound like. The new single is a mix of progressive pop with a hint of dubstep, and is the perfect tune for summer.

Simpson and Carson will be dancing the tango on next week’s Dancing with the Stars.

  • Whitney Houston: Beverly Hills Police Officer Files Lawsuit Over Death Investigation

Brian Weir, a Beverly Hills police officer, has filed a lawsuit against the city for the way he was treated after reporting misconduct by a fellow officer during the investigation on the death of singer Whitney Houston.

In 2012, Weir was one of the responders at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Houston was found dead in her suite’s bathtub. Weir, then assigned as a SWAT team sergeant, attempted to secure the scene and covered Houston’s body with a sheet to prevent contamination.

Weir claims that as he was working, Detective Sergeant Terry Nutall of the department’s fraud and forgery unit arrived. Nutall pulled the sheet down to the Houston’s pubic region, coming in close proximity to touching the body and possibly contaminating the scene. Weir also heard Nutall make inappropriate comments such as that the singer “looked attractive for a woman of her age and current state.”

According to Weir’s lawsuit, he believes that Nutall, who’s now a lieutenant, treated the singer’s body in a way that his fellow officer knew is in violation of the Model Penal Code as well as the department’s own manual. What Nutall did had no legal purpose, and was not done for any legitimate law enforcement or investigative inquiry.

Weir said in his lawsuit that after he reported the incident, Nutall and his superiors took reprisal action against him. He was removed from the SWAT team, denied promotion to other positions, denied special and overtime pay, and was stripped of supervisory duties. In sum, he was ostracized and harassed by the other officers in the department, including Captain Tony Lee, Lieutenant Lincoln Hoshino, and the Chief of Police David Snowden.

The situation caused Weir to lose income and make him upset, aggravated, and distressed. As such, he is seeking damages for consequential, incidental, and actual losses. He also wants his position in the SWAT team back, and is also seeking damages for emotional distress, and legal costs and attorney fees.

  • Miley Cyrus And Katy Perry Tangle On Twitter Over Kiss

Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus have been poking fun at each other on Twitter. It all started when Katy guested on Australia’s morning program, Sunrise, where the interview led to the discussion on her recent kiss with Miley in one of her shows. The Roar singer was in Australia to promote her upcoming Prism tour.

The singer said that she attended one of Miley’s shows and saw a kiss cam. She wanted to give Miley a girly and friendly kiss. However, Miley moved her head and went deeper into the kiss and Katy pulled away. She ended the statement by saying “God knows where that tongue has been.” Katy also said that Miley’s tongue was infamous.

A couple of days after Katy’s interview, Miley tweeted screenshots of the interview with the caption “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT (tongue) been.”

Miley may be referring to John Mayer, who has dated a string of personalities including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Heidi Klum, and Taylor Swift. She may also have been referring to Russell Brand, Katy’s ex-husband, who has confessed to being a sex addict.

Fans of the two singers were not sure if Katy and Miley were having a real girl fight about what Katy has said on her interview, or if they were just joking around.

A few days later, Miley has posted an illustration of the kiss tagging Katy on twitter. “”Dontchyouuuu act like you didn’t lurvvvvv it @katyperry,” Katy then tweeted back saying “Oooo gurrrl I’m gonna give you the BIGGEST spanking when I see you in the UK bb!”

Apparently, the two were just having fun with each other on Twitter and still remain good friends despite the things that were said.

Chris Brown Diagnosed With PTSD And Bipolar Disorder

Chris Brown’s name has been synonymous with trouble ever since his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna. After the altercation between the two, Brown has had several encounters with the law including a brawl with Canadian recording artist Drake and an assault on a man in Washington, D.C. The most recent bout with the law happened when the singer threw a brick through his mom’s car window.

Brown’s diagnosis came out during a hearing that was held in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. The singer was sentenced to spend 90 days in rehab, which started in the fall. Based on the court documents, Brown’s records from the rehab facility state that his mood swings are the cause of his bipolar disorder and PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.)

Brown has been through several hardships in his life. In an interview in 2007, he revealed that his stepdad used to beat his mother. The beating terrified him, and at the same time made him feel like he wanted to beat his stepdad with a baseball bat.

The singer, 24, will require close supervision by a physician to treat his disorders and make sure that he remains in a stable condition. He was also ordered to remain another two months in the program to get better. Reports from the facility have also said that Brown has been fulfilling his requirements and has been more than exemplary.

Even after hearing that he is doing well in rehab, the singer expressed his dismay over the ruling by tweeting “Never really goes the way u plan. #LIFE.

Reports say that Brown has already accomplished 250 hours of service and has 750 more hours to render. His community service should end in the middle of October if he continues to do his duties three times a week.

He is scheduled to report back in court on April 23 for another hearing.
