  • Sinead O’Connor Cries Out for Help With Facebook Overdose Post

Sinead O’Connor used Facebook as her forum on Sunday to make a desperate plea for help. Claiming to have taken an overdose, she noted that the preceding week had “broken her.” The Irish singer wrote that she was in a hotel room under an assumed name.

“This week has broken me,” Sinead O’Connor wrote.

“The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name.”

Shortly after posting this heartbreaking plea, Irish police reported they found Sinead O’Connor.

O’Connor took to social media again on Monday, lashing out at members of her family.

Earlier today, Sinead O’Connor once again posted to Facebook, begging for her children’s love.

It’s abundantly clear that Sinead O’Connor needs some serious help. This recent overdose isn’t the first time she has attempted to take her life. She told Oprah Winfrey back in 2007 that she had bipolar disorder and that she attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday.

She is presently engaged in a custody battle with the father of her youngest child. It’s uncertain if the battle is because of her mental state or if her mental state is a result of the battle.

Regardless of the demons she’s fighting, one can only hope and pray that someone reaches Sinead O’Connor and starts her on a path toward healing.

  • Sinead O’Connor Posts Heartbreaking, Suicidal Facebook Note After Family Troubles

Sinead O’Connor is reportedly alive and seeking treatment this week after posting a troubling note on Facebook over the weekend.

The Irish singer took to social media to disclose several family issues and talked about her recent hysterectomy, saying she was in so much pain because of the way her family has treated her that she’d taken an overdose in a hotel in Ireland.

There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear…this week has broken me. The withholding of my babies from me without any sound reason by their fathers, Frank and Donal, and by Jake and the rest of my family, is a horrific set of betrayals. And has been going on since I had my surgery. The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name,” O’Connor wrote.

Sinead sat down with Oprah last year and opened up about her life, saying she has battled depression for a long time, but it’s unclear at this point whether she purposely tried to take her life over the weekend. However, it’s not the first time O’Connor has taken to social media to vent suicidal feelings; in 2011 she shared posts on Twitter that led to authorities checking in on her.

Besides her health issues, O’Connor is reportedly in a lengthy custody battle over her two sons, whom she mentions in the Facebook post. Earlier in the month, Sinead spoke about the fact that they are wards of the court, addressing her ex-husband.

“Here’s your court order Donal Lunny! It says joint custody. You and jake are going to jail under the terms of the order you falsely claimed supported you in preventing me from seeing my son, you both lied to the Gardai last night! Engaging in criminality!” Sinead O’Connor wrote.

  • Sinead O’Connor Found ‘Safe and Sound’ After Posting Apparent Suicide Note

Sinead O’Connor was found safe and sound in Dublin after posting an apparent suicide note on Facebook Sunday, People magazine reports.

“I have taken an overdose,” the Irish singer wrote. “There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name If I wasn’t posting this, my kids and family wouldn’t even find out. Was dead for another fortnight since none of them bother their hole with me for a minute. I could have been dead here for weeks already and they’d never have known.”

A source confirms to People that authorities located O’Connor and the investigation by police is now closed.

An Irish news site also reports that O’Connor is “safe and sound” and receiving medical attention.

In Sunday’s post, the Nothing Compares 2 You singer wrote that “there is only so much any woman can be expected to bear.”

She went on to note family members that she claims betrayed her with “appalling cruelty,” particularly two of her ex husbands, who she says refused to allow her to see her youngest children, Shane Lunny, 11, and Yeshua Bonadio, eight.

She also referenced her son J28-year-old son Jake Reynolds, but did not call out daughter Roisin Waters, 19.

Leading up to O’Connor’s disturbing note that told family members that “you’ve finally got rid of me,” the singer posted discouraging notes about the custody battle, her childrens’ status as wards of the court and alleged sexual child abuse.

  • Sinead O’Connor Claims to Overdose on Facebook

Sinead O’Connor posted a very disturbing message on her verified Facebook account on Sunday. The troubled singer claimed she had “taken an overdose” and was in an unknown hotel room under an assumed name.

“This week has broken me,” Sinead O’Connor wrote.

“The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name.”

Fortunately, less than two hours after the post was made, Irish police reported they had found Sinead O’Connor, and that she was “safe and sound.”

Sinead O’Connor is battling many demons right now. She is in the midst of a custody battle with her youngest son’s father. The singer underwent a hysterectomy in August.

O’Connor said her family doesn’t deem her valuable, adding, “They wouldn’t know if I was dead until weeks from now if I wasn’t f–king informing them now.”

“Well done guys, you’ve finally got rid of me. Sorry the penny didn’t drop sooner. I’m an idiot,” she wrote.

This isn’t the first time Sinead O’Connor has written questionable posts on Facebook, nor is it her first suicide attempt. She told Oprah Winfrey back in 2007 that she had bipolar disorder and that she attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday.

Sinead O’Connor is 48. Hopefully someone is seeing to it that the troubled singer gets the help she so obviously needs so that a third attempt never takes place.

  • Kim Kardashian Has Officially Killed Music, According To Sinead O’Connor

Kim Kardashian Has Officially Killed Music, According To Sinead O’Connor

Kim Kardashian is everywhere these days, and at least one star isn’t content to keep her thoughts about it to herself.

Musician Sinead O’Connor took to Facebook earlier this week to vent her frustrations regarding Kardashian’s appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone this month, busting out the “C”-word and holding nothing back.

“What is this c–t (“I don’t smile much because it causes wrinkles”) doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died. Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be fucking horrified,” O’Connor wrote.

Kim hasn’t responded publicly, choosing instead to fill her Twitter page with selfies and pictures of her and little North West. Kardashian, who is expecting her second child with Kanye West, is likely too busy documenting her pregnancy to bother with Sinead. The couple have reportedly hired the crew who shot their wedding to create a time-lapse video of her as she progresses throughout the months.

“Kim and Kanye have become obsessed with the time-lapse pregnancy videos that are so popular online and wants one of her own. Kim has reached out to the same crew who filmed her wedding. She’s offered them a pretty penny to shoot with her on one day a week for the rest of her pregnancy. Kim and Kanye will fly the crew to wherever they are in the world for the shoot,” a source told The Mirror.

The source also said that the video isn’t something Kardashian fans will ever see, but instead will be something private that the couple can look back on when the child is older.

Rolling Stone hasn’t responded to O’Connor’s comments, either.

  • Sinead O’Connor Unhappy About Kim Kardashian ‘Rolling Stone’ Cover, Blasts Publication

Sinead O’Connor thinks Rolling Stone magazine has gone too far this time. The publication features a photo of Kim Kardashian on its most recent cover, and O’Connor is beyond disgusted.

In a Facebook rant, Sinead O’Connor claims that music has died and Rolling Stone murdered it–all because of the very sexy Kim Kardashian shot. The post is no longer available on her Facebook page, but Billboard managed to capture it before it disappeared.

“What is this c–t doing on the cover of Rolling Stone?” Sinead O’Connor wrote on Tuesday. “Music has officially died. Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be f-cking horrified.”

Sinead O’Connor might have cause to complain if Kim Kardashian was the first non-musical celebrity to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone. That is definitely not the case, however.

This also isn’t the first time O’Connor has been outspoken about celebrities. Back in 2013, she wrote to Miley Cyrus regarding her ‘Wrecking Ball’ music video.

“I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos,” Sinead O’Connor wrote at the time. “It is in fact the case that you will obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether its the music business or yourself doing the pimping.”

It is interesting to note that there have been many comparisons drawn between Sinead O’Connor’s 1990 music video ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and Miley Cyrus’s ‘Wrecking Ball.’

Maybe Sinead O’Connor was jealous of Miley Cyrus? Is she now jealous of Kim Kardashian?

Perhaps Sinead O’Connor simply has nothing better to do than complain.

  • Miley Cyrus/Sinead O’Connor Mashup Goes Viral

Miley Cyrus has been in the headlines more in recent weeks than she has in her entire life after a breakup with studly beau Liam Hemsworth, a sexually-charged VMAs performance with Robin Thicke, and a well-received week at SNL, which she hosted this past weekend.

But the 20-year old actress and singer has gotten some attention from fellow musicians, as well, most notably for her provocative style of dress. One musician in particular–Sinead O’Connor–didn’t take too kindly to the young star’s VMAs show or her new video for “Wrecking Ball”, in which she swings naked on a giant–you guessed it–wrecking ball and licks a sledgehammer. So much so, in fact, that she wrote an open letter to Cyrus and basically told her to cover up or regret it later.

“I am happy to hear I am somewhat of a role model for you and I hope that because of that you will pay close attention to what I am telling you,” O’Connor wrote. “The music business doesn’t give a sh– about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted.. and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, “they” will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone.”

Now, producer Robin Skouteris has taken the time to mashup “Wrecking Ball” and O’Connor’s hit “Nothing Compares To U” because, as you’ll see, the videos are sort of similar. Check out the video below.

    Hat tip to Buzzfeed.

  • Sinead O’Connor Threatening Legal Action

The two controversial singers are at it again. Leave it to Sinead O’Connor and Miley Cyrus to have this dramatic of a feud.

After O’Connor sent a letter to Cyrus about her provocative ways, the two haven’t stopped. Cyrus even poked fun at O’connor’s mental illness comparing her to actress, Amanda Bynes, who has been recently going through her own mental health battle.
And to make matter worse (if that was even possible) the feud has been broadcasted online for everyone to see.

After the fist open letter to Miley, Miley fired back at O’Connor and then of course the Irish singer followed back. The feud is plastered all over Twitter.

O’Connor doesn’t stop and goes on to call Cyrus’ flippant attitude “dangerous and irresponsible” and a bad example to young women.

Now, O’Connor is threatening to take legal action if the tweets Cyrus fired at her aren’t taken down.

“Remove your tweets immediately or you will hear from my lawyers,” she warns. “Mockery causes deaths. Period. It is an unacceptable form of bullying, no matter who it is doing the bullying.”

What do you think will happen next? Will Miley have a comeback for O’Connor? Or is this it?

  • Sinead O’Connor Calls Miley Cyrus “F***ing Stupid” in Second Open Letter

Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor are at it again. The controversial 46-year-old Irish singer, blasts Cyrus for mocking her mental illness.

On Thursday, Sinead O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus, “The music business doesn’t give a s*** about you, or any of us.” she wrote,“They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think it’s what YOU wanted …and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, ‘they’ will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone.”

The twerking sensation, Cyrus, then responded with this tweet “Before Amanda Bynes…. There was….

The tweet compares Sinead O’Connor to Amanda Bynes, both of whom have been treated for psychiatric problems. As to be expected, this prompted yet another heated open letter by O’connor via Facebook. Sinead’s new letter to Miley, calls  Cyrus’ tweets ‘anti-female’, ‘irresponsible’,  ‘dangerous’, and ‘f***ing stupid’.

“Miley… Really? Who the f**k is advising you? Because taking me on is even more f**kin’ stupid than behaving like a prostitute and calling it feminism. You have posted today tweets of mine which are two years old, which were posted by me when I was unwell and seeking help so as to make them look like they are recent,” O’Connor wrote. She then threatened legal action against Cyrus if the tweets were not removed and urged Cyrus to apologize to her and all the people that suffer from mental illness.

After reading O’Connor’s response, the 20-year-old Pop singer tweeted, “Sinead. I don’t have time to write you an open letter cause I’m hosting & performing on SNL this week.”

The SNL (Saturday Night Live) reference seemed to be a slight jab, considering O’Connor was banned from the comedy show for ripping up and image of the Pope on live TV, in 1992.

Cyrus then extended an invitation for them to meet up and talk about the issue.

Chances are there will be more jabs and low blows to come from these two.  Let’s see if there’s another round.

  • Miley Cyrus Fires Back At Sinead O’Connor

Miley Cyrus was the recipient of a lengthy letter from Irish singer Sinead O’Connor recently, and while it seems the content was meant to be helpful, it certainly got salty, due in part to O’Connor’s claims that Cyrus is being “prostituted”. The 20-year old “Wrecking Ball” singer fired back on Thursday with a simple tweet showing O’Connor’s infamous “Saturday Night Live” performance, in which she went on a rant about the “real enemy” and tore up a picture of the Pope on live television.

Later, Cyrus had a more lengthy reply:

O’Connor wrote, in part, that she thinks Cyrus should be protecting herself from the people who would do nothing but exploit her and make money off of it. You can read the full letter here.

“I am happy to hear I am somewhat of a role model for you and I hope that because of that you will pay close attention to what I am telling you,” she wrote.

Catch Miley hosting SNL on Saturday to see if a Sinead bit is in the works.

  • Sinead O’Connor Pens Open Letter to Miley Cyrus

Sinead O’Connor seemed compelled to offer troubled star Miley Cyrus some girl-to-girl advice on the ins and outs of the music business in what I like to classify as a compliment sandwich. She wrote an open letter to Miley, the full version of which can be read here, at Entertainment Weekly.

After viewing her latest antics capped off with her “Wrecking Ball” video, Sinead genuinely seems concerned for Miley’s well-being and her future, and is firm but encouraging in her guidance.

“I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos,” Sinèad wrote. “It is in fact the case that you will obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether it’s the music business or yourself doing the pimping.”

She also offered Miley a few choice words of warning about the music industry:

“The music business doesn’t give a sh*t about you, or any of us,” she continues. “They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted… and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, ‘they’ will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone.”

Sinèad also seemed to want to make clear to Miley, 20, that while the controversy-loving starlet tried to attribute inspiration for the “Wrecking Ball” video to O’Connor’s iconic “Nothing Compares to You” video, she clearly misunderstood the true spirit of it. She wrote,

“The look I chose, I chose on purpose at a time when my record company were encouraging me to do what you have done. I felt I would rather be judged on my talent and not my looks. I am happy that I made that choice, not least because I do not find myself on the proverbial rag heap now that I am almost 47 yrs of age, which unfortunately many female artists who have based their image around their sexuality, end up on when they reach middle age.”

Yeah…I don’t see it. At all.

And, the lovely Sinead O’Connor spoke for all of us when she gently advised her to PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!

“As for the shedding of the Hannah Montana image… whoever is telling you getting naked is the way to do that does absolutely NOT respect your talent, or you as a young lady,” she wrote. “Your records are good enough for you not to need any shedding of Hannah Montana. She’s waaaaaaay gone by now.. Not because you got naked but because you make great records.”

Miley generally doesn’t respond to her critics directly very often, but I’d be curious to see how she’d take some decent guidance from someone who’s already been there.
