  • Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell, and Son Asleep As Burglars Break Into London Home

Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell, and their baby boy, Eric, were all asleep in their London home during the wee hours of Friday morning when burglars broke in.

The Guardian reports that Metropolitan police responded to a call for a burglary in progress. By the time they arrived at Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s home, the suspects were gone.

Missing in the incident are cash belonging to both parties and jewelry belonging to Lauren Silverman.

This isn’t the first time Simon Cowell has been the victim of a burglary either. Back in 2011, this same home was burglarized and a woman was found hiding inside a walk-in closet. She was armed with a brick when discovered.

“She had smashed her way in through the window and it was unclear how long she had been there or what she was doing,” a rep for Simon Cowell said at the time.

Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman will no doubt be traveling to L.A. with little Eric very soon. Ryan Seacrest said in a recent interview with E! News that all former American Idol judges will return for the final season of the show, set to air in January.

“We will have the former judges back,” Seacrest said. “The plan is to have all of them back. They’ve all considered it and I think are enthusiastic about coming back and saluting the show.”

Hopefully Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman hire some extra vigilant security people to guard their home while they’re in the U.S.

Can you imagine how frightening it must have been for Lauren Silverman and Simon Cowell to learn someone was inside their home while they were sleeping? This scenario could have ended with far more than cash and jewelry lost.

  • Simon Cowell Dishes About Upcoming “America’s Got Talent” Gig, Son Eric Steals the Show

Simon Cowell sat down for an interview with Extra’s Terri Seymour recently to dish on his upcoming gig on America’s Got Talent. The American Idol alum has announced he will replace Howard Stern as a judge on the next season of the show. Stern announced last season that it would be his last.

20-month-old Eric Cowell was on hand for his daddy’s interview, and loved stealing the show. The little boy was teasing both Seymour and his father with a carrot Simon Cowell had given him as a snack.

“That’s my boy!” Simon Cowell said to Seymour. “When he just wants something, he’s like me. He says it over and over again.”

Something Simon Cowell had been wanting for a while was to serve as a judge on America’s Got Talent. Howard Stern’s exit was perfect timing.

“We’ve been talking about it for a few years, funny enough, me and NBC,” he said. ‘This year…everything worked. So it was perfect.”

Seymour questioned if perhaps fatherhood has made Simon Cowell a more understanding judge. Surely everyone remembers how harsh he was at times as an American Idol judge.

“I’m not going to lie to people when I think they’re hopeless, I just couldn’t do that!” he said. “But no, of course I’m not going to be rude for the sake of being rude. That would be ridiculous. I’ll take it act by act.”

It sounds like maybe fatherhood has softened the curmudgeonly British chap. Could you imagine Simon Cowell having had the patience to humor a child–back in his early American Idol days?

That would have been a frightening situation–for all involved.

Lauren Silverman is little Eric Cowell’s mom. She and Simon Cowell learned they were expecting while Silverman was still married to one of Simon Cowell’s best friends.

  • Leona Lewis, Taylor Swift: “Bleeding Love” Duet Wows Concert Fans

Leona Lewis’s biggest hit to date is “Bleeding Love,” and fans still swoon when she performs it even eight years after its debut.

This weekend, fans of both Leona Lewis and Taylor Swift were treated to a mind-blowing version of the song when Swift brought Lewis out onto her stage during her concert in Nashville.

It was Saturday night during one of Swift’s “1989” concert dates that she introduced the British singer who feared she’d never get signed again when she left Simon Cowell’s record label.

A video posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

“It was very hard and very nerve-racking because I didn’t know what I’d be walking into once I left Simon. I had no idea,” Lewis said. “I needed to kind of create my own path, and I went out and created the album based on … the strength that it took to walk away from different situations.”

The recent release of her new single, “I Am” proves Leona Lewis needn’t have worried.

She insists, however, that there is no bad blood between her and Cowell, who he signed after she won the British version of “The X-Factor” back in 2007.

“Simon has been so amazing and instrumental in my career, but it was just time for me to move on and time for me to do something different, and I wanted to seek out a different label that had kind of a different energy,” she said.

“Amazing” doesn’t begin to describe how incredible Leona Lewis and Taylor Swift sounded during their performance of “Bleeding Love” this weekend, however. Hopefully that was just a taste of what fans can expect from the singer in the months to come.

  • Briana Jungwirth Pregnant With Louis Tomlinson’s Baby, Simon Cowell Gives One Direction Singer Advice

Briana Jungwirth is the young woman who is pregnant with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson’s baby. Tomlinson recently sought advice on the unexpected, life changing matter from Simon Cowell.

“I said to him, ‘You man up,’” Cowell told The Sun of the advice he shared. “‘You’re fortunate because you’re in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that.’”

Simon Cowell knows all too well how an unexpected pregnancy can turn into a blessing.

“But I also told him, ‘I’ve received bad calls in my life but this is not one of them,’” Cowell added. “This is your business but I’m here for you.’ He didn’t kill anyone. He got someone pregnant. It happens every day all over the world. Again, Louis has got great family around him and, look, it’s a plus, not a negative.”

Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson aren’t involved in a romantic relationship. They claim they are simply good friends.

Translation: Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson are friends with benefits.

Do you think their relationship might change as her pregnancy progresses?

Briana Jungwirth was spotted recently grocery shopping in L.A. She earns her living as a stylist.

One Direction fans are reportedly crushed that Louis Tomlinson is going to be a father. His ex-girlfriend Eleanor Calder no doubt is as well.

Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson claim they will raise their child together. Do you expect this will work or might a baby drive a wedge in their friendship? And what might happen between Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson if either meets someone else and falls in love?

There are definitely some complications in the One Direction singer’s life, but like Simon Cowell said, this doesn’t have to be a bad thing.

How do you foresee Briana Jungwirth and Louis Tomlinson as parents?

  • Simon Cowell: Mother Julie Cowell Dies at 89

Simon Cowell is mourning the loss of his mother. Julie Cowell, who was 89, died on Sunday. The former ballet dancer and British socialite’s passing was confirmed by Simon’s brother Tony Cowell.

Family members shared their heartache in a statement to People magazine.

“Today our beloved mum Julie passed away,” they said. “Anyone who had met her would know what a truly special and kind lady she was. We are heartbroken and will miss her terribly, but she is now at peace.”

Simon Cowell has yet to issue his own statement regarding his mother’s passing, however the family has asked for privacy.

“We would like to thank the media for kindly respecting Julie’s privacy throughout and we politely request continued privacy for the entire family at this particularly difficult time.”

In addition to Simon Cowell, Julie Cowell was the mother of three sons–Nicholas, Tony, and Michael. She was the step-mother of John and June Cowell.

Simon Cowell was best known in the U.S. in his role as a judge on American Idol. He has since become known as one of the most famous music and television producers in the world. The first string of auditions for The X Factor has been postponed in light of Julie Cowell’s death.

Condolences are no doubt going out to Simon Cowell and the rest of his family on the passing of his mother. May the family find some comfort in the gestures of love that are likely pouring in.

  • ‘American Idol’ Ending With Season 15, Did ‘The Voice’ Cause Its Demise?

American Idol is coming to an end following its 15th season, which is scheduled to begin in January. Do you suppose The Voice played a role in its demise? The singing competition show was the first of its kind, and was initially met with a huge viewership. After NBC introduced The Voice, however, the ratings plummeted.

Us Weekly reports that Fox made the announcement Monday morning, May 11th, about American Idol’s cancellation.

American Idol will begin its 15th–and final–season this January on FOX,” the network wrote in a statement. “A season-long celebratory event, American Idol XV will feature host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., as they search for the final Idol superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols.”

American Idol will have graced the airwaves and scoured through countless prospective star singers for 13 years when it ends its run. The only constant figure throughout its entire reign is Ryan Seacrest. During the show’s first season, he introduced judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson. That trio went on to work with Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, Lopez, Steven Tyler, Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Urban, and Connick, Jr. The trio of Lopez, Urban, and Connick, Jr. has been in place since 2014’s 13th season of American Idol.

Some major talent has come from American Idol throughout the years. Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson, and Kellie Pickler all competed on or won American Idol.

Are you disappointed to hear American Idol is coming to an end with its 15th season? Do you think The Voice , with judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Wiliams, and Christina Aguilera is a better quality program? Might it have contributed to American Idol calling it quits?

  • Zayn Malik Sports Ponytail on ‘X Factor’ UK Finale

Zayn Malik sported a slicked back ponytail as he and the rest of his One Direction band mates performed on the X Factor UK finale on Sunday. Zayn has been wearing his hair a variety of ways recently, but first wore his hair in a ponytail at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France on Saturday. Apparently he liked it so much, he went for a repeat performance on Sunday. Did he receive a thumbs up or thumbs down for his new style?

First off, it must be mentioned that no one should make fun of Zayn’s hair unless they want to bring Harry Styles into the conversation. That guy has some sort of deserted bird’s nest sitting atop his head. There’s no way Zayn Malik’s ponytail could look even half that bad.

The Daily Mail actually reports that fans took to Zayn Malik’s new ‘do.

“Zayn is the only male that can get away with his hair in a ponytail,” a source tells them.

Simon Cowell lauded Zayn and the rest of One Direction at the X Factor finale, saying how proud he is of all they have accomplished. He didn’t mention Zayn Malik or Harry Styles’s hair, however.

“I still can’t watch the moment when One Direction came third. I was so arrogant about the fact we were going to win,” he said. “Even though they’ve done well, I still would have liked for history to have said they won The X Factor.”

Do you find anything wrong with Zayn Malik’s ponytail? Would you rather see him get rid of it or see Harry Styles do something with the bird’s nest instead–of given the choice of one or the other?

  • Nicole Scherzinger: Returning As a Judge on ‘The X-Factor’?

Nicole Scherzinger may return to the X-Factor.

The British public grew fond of Scherzinger during her 2012 and 2013 judging stint on The X-Factor. Two of her contestants even made it to the finals in 2012. In 2014, Scherzinger left the series to devote her energy to completing and promoting her second solo album, Big Fat Liar.

Recently she returned to the X-Factor stage to sing “Run.” The performance had a few technical difficulties, but once again won her praise from the audience. Big Fat Liar made its UK debut in October. The album is set for an early 2015 release in the US. Besides promoting Big Fat Liar, Scherzinger will appear in Cats on the West End from December to February.

Her personal life seems just as active as her professional one. The “Run” singer got emotional yesterday while watching her long-time boyfriend, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, win the world championship in Abu Dhabi. Photographers captured Scherzinger excitedly kissing his helmet after the victory.

Hamilton was also congratulated by Prince Harry, who said, “Lewis thank you very, very much for not making the British public sweat…You are an absolute legend. Well done mate.”

Looks like Scherzinger will be very busy in 2015, and Simon Cowell hopes to make her busier.

Mirror reports that Cowell wants to leave the UK version of X-Factor to relaunch the American one. The US version of the singing competition got canceled in February due to low ratings. Mirror spoke to a source for more details on the possible reunion of Fox and Cowell. According to Mirror, “Staff have put together a proposal, which has been very well recieved.” The source also said that everyone wants to make a relaunching of X-Factor work.

If Cowell returns to X-Factor in the US, he needs a replacement for the UK version. Scherzinger is a top choice as a replacement. “Nicole is among his first choices. He is a huge fan and would have loved to have had her back on the UK show this series but it just wasn’t possible with Cheryl returning,” revealed Mirror.

  • Lauren Silverman Throws Birthday Bash For Simon Cowell In London

New York socialite Lauren Silverman paid tribute to her man recently by organizing an advanced birthday bash for him in London. Silverman’s boyfriend, music mogul Simon Cowell, is celebrating his 55th birthday on October 7, but she decided to throw a party for him last Sunday at Chelsea restaurant Scalini in London.

Silverman decided to leave her baby with Cowell, seven-month-old Eric, at home so they could have a date night out with Cowell’s celebrity friends. She and the birthday celebrant posed for photographers, arm-in-arm, before heading into the restaurant for the party.

Among the friends Silverman invited to the bash were Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams and his wife Lara Stone, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Louis Walsh and Sinitta. Also in attendance at Silverman’s party were Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and her new husband Jean-Bernard, whom an eyewitness said looked “incredibly loved-up.”

There were a few speeches made that night that spiced up Silverman’s party for Cowell. Walliams reportedly “confessed” that he had a secret gay relationship with Cowell. He joked that Eric was a cover for their relationship, according to a source at the party. “He said he couldn’t believe the lengths Simon would go to in having a baby to cover up their relationship,” said the source.

Another person to make a speech was Cowell’s ex-girlfriend, Sinitta. Her speech was reportedly a little more serious, touching upon the fact Cowell was her best friend. The singer also reportedly praised Silverman but also admitted that she used to be jealous of her.

“[Sinitta] said she is happy that she is friends with Lauren and has been for some time, adding that Lauren is now also one of her best friends. She also said how much she loves Eric,” said a source.

The following day, Walliams couldn’t help tweeting about the party and referring to his comedic tribute speech for Cowell. He tweeted, “Loved seeing @Amanda_Holden & @AleshaOfficial at @SimonCowell ‘s birthday last night. Sadly after my speech I won’t be invited back on BGT.”

  • Simone Battle, ‘X-Factor’ Finalist and GRL Singer, Dies of Apparent Suicide at 25

Pop singer Simone Battle of the girl group G.R.L. has died, the victim of an apparent suicide.

According to the Los Angeles coroners office, the 25-year-old The X-Factor finalist was found dead at her West Hollywood home by her boyfriend Friday morning.

The singer’s father, Anthony Battle, reportedly told TMZ that he was unaware his daughter was battling depression, but said it was “possible she may have had an invisible disability”.

Battle’s record company and management team confirmed the singer’s death in a joint statement released on Saturday.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.,” said the statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Kemosabe Records, RCA Records and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.

“Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”

G.R.L. band members took to social media to express their heartbreak over the news of their friend and colleague.

Battle came into the spotlight as a contestant on The X-Factor in 2011. She was a finalist on the show, making it into the top 17 before being eliminated by her mentor on the show, Simon Cowell.

  • Cheryl Cole Strikes Back At Simon Cowell’s ‘Ungentlemanly’ Remarks About Her Weight

Cheryl Cole struck back at X Factor judge Simon Cowell after his “ungentlemanly” comments about her weight made made during a recent interview.

“I heard this rumour and I think a gentleman should never speak about a woman’s age or weight but that’s only if you’re educated on how to treat a woman” said Cole to Yahoo Celebrity, as reported on Thursday, at The X Factor launch.

“So, unlucky for him. And who listens to Simon Cowell these days anyway? Does anybody? I don’t listen to him anymore.”

Wut Roh! Think this could get ugly.

Cowell made the offensive remarks while explaining the decision to drop her from the lineup of the US version of the show during an interview earlier in the week with the Radio Times.

“When I saw her I didn’t recognize her,” Cowell said, as reported by The Daily Mirror.

“Literally. The hair and outfit were crazy. Just totally crazy. I asked her manager, ‘What’s she wearing, what’s happened to her hair?’

“He was defensive about it. I haven’t a clue why she turned up like that.”

“She’d put on a bit of weight, but not loads. That wasn’t the issue.

“The only way I can describe it is that it wasn’t Cheryl sitting in that seat. She’d lost her confidence.”

Cowell had other reasons for the falling ratings on the American version of the show.

“In hindsight I don’t think that first day worked anyway.

“There was something not quite right about that show in America.”

“We were all wound up. There was so much expectation on the show in America and I definitely wasn’t myself. I was uptight.”

Cole also remarked that she was confused by other comments made by the British music mogul, especially about pop star judges like Cole feeling threatened by the acts that appear on the show.

“Simon said a lot to the contrary which is interesting. I actually did an interview with just me and him a couple of weeks ago where he was like ‘the reason I love Cheryl and Mel is because they really want to find talent and that they’re not interested in it because they’re an artist,’” she told Yahoo Celebrity.

“I’ve been an artist for 12 years, you know, I found Cher Lloyd and I’ve had two winners.”

And the X-factor judge let out one more little jab towards Cowell.

“The man just needs something else to say he needs some new material, it’s getting boring.”

  • Simon Cowell Ticks Off The Twitterverse By Predicting One Direction’s Demise

Simon Cowell has got the Twitterverse in an uproar over his prediction that the British boy band, One Direction, will break up soon.

Not sure what his beef is with the much-adored band, but he has the well-refined reputation of being a “professional hater” with the power to destroy a musician or a band with one little quip. It’s not hard to forget how the music mogul could squash the dreams of some budding singer on American Idol — and later on X Factor — with one remark.

Cowell even mocked himself in a brief cameo in Scary Movie 3 as a harsh music critic, which ended with a crowd gunning him down.

This does come as a shock, however, because the boys in the band owe it all to Cowell. He was the man who put the boy band together on X Factor and started their career.

Cowell shared his views about a possible breakup to the Daily News.

“Bands don’t stay together forever,” he reportedly said. “I think they will make at least two more albums together and they are in the middle of one right now. … No, I don’t think that is going to happen for a while. Eventually I am sure they all will.”

He may have a point, especially with boy bands — New Kids on The Block and N’Sync did only last a few years — and there have been rumors that Harry Styles is working on a solo project.

When the prediction rumors started circulating on Twitter, fans began to cry out their fury and indignation, using the hashtag #1DtoLiveOnForever.

The band’s rep released a statement squashing the rumors.

“There are no plans for Styles to release any solo music at this time, any writing that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs. It’s common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album,” said the rep.

In July, Styles also addressed rumors of his going solo.

“I’m 100 percent in this band. I still want to be touring with One Direction in ten years. I’ll be doing it until I’m old and people are telling me to stop.”

  • ‘American Idol’ Finalist Michael Johns Dies at 35 From a Blood Clot

Michael Johns, a Top 10 finalist and fan favorite of American Idol Season Seven, has died at age 35.

“Our family is devastated by the passing of our beloved Michael, a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend,” said a family statement released via American Idol, Fox, FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment. “We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from all corners of the globe. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and respect our need to grieve privately in this difficult time.”

An official cause-of-death has not been issued, but sources told The Hollywood Reporter that it was likely a pulmonary embolism as a result of a blood clot in his ankle. Johns was apparently complaining of pain in his legs the day before he died, according to E! News.

“My mom took him into the emergency room [Thursday],” said Johns’ friend, Torrey Gimbill, to E!. “He had complained about his leg hurting him; he thought it might be a blood clot because it had bruised pretty badly and he never hurt his leg.”

Confirmation of the news was issued on Johns’ Twitter account:

“It is with a heavy heart and inconsolable sadness that we confirm the passing of our friend Michael Johns. No other details will b avail at this time. Please respect the privacy of Mike’s family and friends as we know u will. Members and admin of @mjohnsonline pass on their prayers.”

American Idol also issued a statement Saturday, mourning the passing of the Australian crooner:

“Michael Johns was an incredible talent and we are deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was a part of our American Idol family and he will be truly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Fellow Idol performers and fans of the late singer have taken to Twitter to express their grief.

Born in Perth, Australia, in 1978, Johns moved to the United States in 1997 and fronted the rock bands Film and The Rising. After several failures with those bands, Johns tried out for American Idol in July 2007 and made the show’s Top 10 the following year.

With his floppy-haired Jim Morrison look, he quickly became the heartthrob of the show. His soulful covers of Dolly Parton, Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles songs drew a strong fan-base for the singer on the show.

His elimination in eighth place was a shock to fans, and it became the inciting force behind the producers decision in to instate the “Judges’ Save” a season later.

Johns continued to record and perform following Idol, releasing Hold Back My Heart in 2009. He teamed up with fellow Season Seven finalist Brooke White on her album, High Hopes & Heartbreak.

Johns leaves behind his wife of seven years, Stacey Vuduris.

  • Simon Cowell Says He Isn’t Gay; Tulisa Contostavlos’ Drug Trial Gets Tossed

In a recording played in court during Tulisa Contostavlos’ drug trial, Contostavlos’ PA Gareth Varey said that he knows men who have slept with Simon Cowell.

The secret recording was played last week where Varey told tabloid reporter Mazher Mahmood that Cowell is gay. Mahmood also asked Varey if he has slept with Cowell to which he replied, “No.” However, Varey said “One day I will when I make my move,” in response to the question why he hasn’t.

Many are now questioning whether Cowell is gay and his spokesperson released a statement that said, “Simon was referred to during the trial without forewarning, resulting in widespread media coverage of untrue claims regarding his private life.”

The statement also said that Cowell’s camp was obliged to clarify the issue, as Varey suggested that “Simon—who is renowned for his honesty and candidness—had thus not been truthful in the public arena.”

Contostavlos’ drug trial also collapsed, as the presiding judge said that some evidence shows that the undercover reporter made false statements during a hearing before the trial. The case was tossed and the judge told the jury that the case will not be pushed further.

Contostavlos, a former X-Factor judge, was charged with helping with a drug deal after she was targeted by Mahmood who is an undercover reporter for The Sun. During Mahmood’s meeting with Contostavlos’, he posed as a film producer offering her a role in a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. Mahmood is known for targeting many celebrities in tabloid stings.

Video of drug deal allegedly fixed by Tulisa Contostavlos

After the trial collapsed, Contostavlos walked out from the court with a smile and said that she was the victim of “disgusting entrapment.”

Mahmood has been suspended from The Sun and authorities are continuing their investigation. He is now facing jail time after authorities discovered that he had lied in court.

  • Simon Cowell Gets Lost in Search of Colonic

Simon Cowell got a bit mixed up recently when he entered a reflexology center seeking a different sort of treatment–a colonic. Yes, the X Factor mogul and former American Idol judge regularly has his insides flushed out via a hose-like device inserted in his–well, you get the picture. How lovely for the person who gets to administer such a procedure–eyeballing Simon Cowell’s nether regions as they stick the tube in for a good cleansing.

The people in the reflexology center apparently snickered a bit before pointing Cowell in the right direction–which was apparently just a couple of doors down.

“Am I in the right place for a colonic?” Cowell reportedly asked, with a source adding, “He took a look around, checking out the foot maps. Staff disguised snickers when he then asked about his colonic appointment.”

“One quietly pointed out he was in a reflexology clinic and the place he needed was up the road,” a source adds. The staff likely enjoyed a few more laughs at poor Simon’s expense as he walked over to the proper establishment.

He left and enjoyed a few other ‘treatments’ at the spa where he received his colonic. Simon apparently enjoyed a hand waxing (do you suppose he has exceedingly hairy knuckles?) and a–wait for it–sheep placenta facial. Yes, you read that correctly. How disgusting does that sound? Of course for someone who regularly undergoes the flushing out of his bottom by an ‘expert’ it’s probably not so far off the spectrum.

Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman are parents to a four-month old baby boy named Eric. Cowell supposedly doesn’t change diapers. Do you suppose that parenting stipulation–and his love of colonics–indicates a serious fear of fecal matter? Are there more serious issues at hand (or behind, as the case may be) here?

Hopefully all of Simon Cowell’s problems have been flushed out and waxed off for the moment and he is feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Some people really do swear by the health benefits of colonics. And then other people–well, they like to snicker along with the staff at the reflexology spa and imagine–if only for a few seconds–how one must look when undergoing such a procedure.

  • Simon Cowell And Mel B Are Already Fighting; ‘The X Factor’ Hasn’t Even Started Filming Yet

The X Factor has not started filming yet, but two of the judges are already feuding, according to reports. Simon Cowell recruited Mel B from the Spice Girls to be the fourth judge on the singing show. According to sources, Cowell wanted Mel B on the panel of judges in order to create drama between her and judge Cheryl Cole.

Mel B refused to play that role and said, “I won’t be your Miss Nasty.”

A source close to Mel B said, “There is no way she is going to do that bitchy thing with anyone and has told Simon so.”

The source also said that Cowell wants explosive television in order to reel in viewers. However, Mel B does not want to be part of that and she wants to avoid getting caught up with controversy. “She doesn’t want to be unnecessarily mean to anyone,” the source said.

Another source said that both Mel B and Cheryl Cole understand that being a judge on The X Factor is a job. “Neither of them wants to be portrayed as a bitch. Just because they are young, attractive women working together doesn’t mean that they have to hate each other,” the insider said.

Simon Cowell is an expert at being nasty

Other reports have said that Cole is happy to have another woman in the panel. Cole and Mel B do not really know each other, however, Cole is happy that there won’t be any style wars happening, since Mel B’s style is so much different from hers.

Mel B is a good addition to the panel of judges, as she already has experience judging. She was a judge for the Australian version of The X Factor, and also worked on America’s Got Talent.

Mel B was revealed to be the fourth judge last week, replacing Sharon Osbourne. Louis Walsh also confirmed that he would be back as a judge this year.

  • Simon Cowell Shares Pics Of His Baby Boy

Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman received the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift this year.

On February 14, 2014, the couple welcomed their first child, a son, Eric, whose full name is Eric Selig Phillip Cowell, after Simon’s father who passed away in 1999. “I look at him, Eric, and I think of my Dad all the time, so it’s a really good thing,” Simon said, during an interview with Extra.

Simon shared the news of his son’s birth, via Twitter, and later added several photos of his new pride and joy. Now, nearly three months later, Simon is, once again, sharing photos of his little man.

Simon first informed his followers that Eric was happy and healthy, and then he proceeded to share a series of three pictures. The first shows Eric laying in Lauren’s lap wearing a striped onesie and covered in a blanket.

The second picture shows little Eric holding himself up, leaning against the back of the couch. There is no denying that Eric resembles his father, and it appears that Simon thinks so too. He captioned the photo by saying: “Very handsome like his dad.”

The third, and final, picture showed Lauren holding Eric, with them staring into each other’s eyes. Simon simply captioned this photo by saying: “Mum and Eric.”

Many people were skeptical about how Simon would handle the responsibilities of fatherhood; however, Simon said he was born to be a father. “I held him within five minutes of him being born,” Simon said. “I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?’ And she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine.’ And then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it!” He added: “I was born to be a dad!”

  • Simon Cowell Receives Apology for “Talent” Tackling

Simon Cowell has been enjoying a respite from attacks on his person since literally getting egged by Natalie Holt in 2013.

Sure, 2014 has not been off to a wholly terrific start for the famously critical judge. Fox canceled his show The X Factor in February. He also started seeing his close friend’s wife, Lauren Silverman, sparking a scandal.

On the bright side, Silverman and Cowell welcomed Cowell’s first child, Eric, into the world this past Valentine’s day. Things were looking up.

That is, until fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams tackled and wrestled him during an audition.

According to Mirror Online, a duo named Que Sera was singing “Love Changes Everything.” Cowell attempted to stop the performance, saying “Oh, I hate this song.” He held up his hand to stop the performers, but Walliams said he and the other judges wanted to see the performance.

To quash Cowell’s resistance, Walliams “playfully” wrestled Cowell to the ground.

Cowell was not amused. He reportedly said “I’m a serious music mogul, people can’t see me wrestling on TV.”

“Simon is quite a serious person and he doesn’t want me dragging him down to my level,” Walliams said of Cowell.

Britain’s Got Talent is currently in its eighth season. It premiered Saturday on ITV. Happily for both Cowell and Walliams, 11.1 million viewers tuned in, the most ever for a launch episode in the series’ history. So, hopefully Cowell and Walliams can co-exist peacefully for the next two years of the show’s recently renewed contract.

  • Simon Cowell Regrets Affair With Lauren Silverman

Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman welcomed their baby boy Eric in February 2014. While Cowell is elated to be a father, he admits that he regrets the way that his relationship with Silverman started.

Simon met Lauren through one of his best friends Andrew Silverman. Simon and Lauren’s friendship soon turned into an affair, resulting in her divorce from Andrew. “I regret that part [the affair],” Cowell told Mirror . “But then of course you have a baby and you look at the baby and you kind of go, ‘This is what happened from it. … It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened.”

Simon, Lauren, and baby Eric are currently living together in Simon’s West London home. He said that he has manned up and taken responsibility for his actions, but feels that the affair led to a better life for him. “You have to deal with it and man up to it. You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism,” Cowell explained. “My life has changed, but I am probably more focused on what I am doing now than I was a year ago. Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for. … Now the house is full of people, it has become a home rather than a house.”

Simon says that he and Lauren share many common interests and credits her with giving him his “mojo” back. “The great thing about Lauren is she loves what I do, so she sits in if I am watching Britain’s Got Talent for example, and she has got a good opinion. And I seem to have got my mojo back again.”

The X Factor will not be returning to Fox so Simon is focusing the majority of his attention on his new family and the competitive television show Britain’s Got Talent.

  • Lauren Silverman: Simon Cowell Finally Addresses Affair

Lauren Silverman’s baby daddy Simon Cowell is just now talking publicly about their affair that not only tore apart Lauren and Andrew Silverman’s marriage, but also resulted in the birth of Lauren Silverman and Simon Cowell’s son Eric. He is just now discussing the origins of their relationship.

Cowell says he regrets betraying Andrew Silverman, who was also his close friend.

“But then of course you have a baby and you look at the baby and you kinda go, ‘This is what happened from it.’ In this situation you are not going to come out of this well because of the circumstances,” he said during a recent interview.

“It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened. You have to deal with it and man up to it. You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism. All I can say is, my advice to you is if it happens to you, you just have to deal with it a day at a time and own up to your responsibilities,” he added.

Eric Cowell was born on Valentine’s Day of this year and is named after Cowell’s father. He is Simon Cowell’s first child and the second for Lauren Silverman. She has a 7-year-old son with Andrew Silverman.

It definitely sounds like Silverman and Cowell are very compatible.

“The great thing about Lauren is she loves what I do, so she sits in if I am watching Britain’s Got Talent for example, and she has got a good opinion,” Cowell says. “And I seem to have got my mojo back again.”

Fans speculate about whether Eric will be Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s only child together.

I wouldn’t rule anything out,” he says. “From here on in I am not predicting anything. The important thing this year is we have fun with what we are doing.”

And what about making an honest woman of Lauren Silverman?

    “Wait and see,” he teases.

Do you think Simon Cowell will ever tie the knot with Lauren Silverman or will she forever be the mistress–part of the former marriage that he helped wreck?

  • Lauren Silverman: Simon Cowell Opens Up About Affair

Grumpy reality show judge Simon Cowell has done a pretty good job of keeping the details of his recent love affair a secret, because once word got out that he was involved with his best friend’s wife, Lauren Silverman, he’s kept his mouth pretty much shut.

But now he’s opening up a bit, as he spoke to the British tabloid the Mirror about the affair, and he also spoke about being a dad for the first time.

Cowell said although he’s thrilled a baby came out of the relationship, he regrets how he met the mother of his child.

“I regret that part,” he said. “But then of course you have a baby and you look at the baby and you kind of go, ‘This is what happened from it’….It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened.”

Of course this isn’t the first time Cowell has been in the press for the women he’s dated, as he’s been in relationships with some pretty well-known folks like Terri Seymour and Jackie St. Clair, and when it comes to receiving criticism about his personal life, the 54-year-old says he has no problem with it.

Additionally, Cowell says being a dad has changed his life completely, and he alluded to the fact that his life was a bit empty before his child was born, but now it feels full and complete.

“You have to deal with it and man up to it,” he said. “You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism. My life has changed, but I am probably more focused on what I am doing now than I was a year ago. Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for…Now the house is full of people. It has become a home rather than a house.”
