Shania Twain Going On Farewell Tour, First In 11 Years

Shania Twain is ready to “hang up her hat” after her extremely popular Vegas show.

The country superstar announced on Good Morning America that she will be going on her first tour in 11 years. She also announced that this will be her last tour.

Shania Twain told GMA‘s Robin Roberts that the show is going to be like an afterparty, a celebration of all that she has accomplished.

She says the show, called the “Rock This Country” tour, is going to have a “rockin’” party feel.

“This is a very, very important time on the road for me. I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”

Shania Twain has been through a lot during her long career. Beginning with almost instant superstardom, running through a messy divorce after her husband cheated with her best friend, and on to marrying her former best friend’s husband, there have been a lot of ups and downs. Shania Twain said that through all of her trials, she gains a lot of strength from others, especially from her fans.

“I look to others for more strength,” Shania Twain said. “I look for the courage in others and then I find mine.”

She added, “I think that’s why I love being with the fans. I love getting out into the audience. I like hearing their stories. I like talking to them during the show.”

Shania Twain seems to have found a lot of strength, indeed. She looked pumped as she spoke about her upcoming tour. She will also be releasing a new album after her tour wraps in August.

“I want it to come out when I’m 50, so it will happen,” said Shania Twain, who will turn 50 in August. “I’m on the microphone every day recording stuff.”

She added, “I want to just enjoy that party, that celebration party, and then I’ll get back to the record.”

Shania Twain Announces First Tour In 11 Years, Which Will Also Be Her Last One

Shania Twain has closed her extremely popular show in Las Vegas, and now she is ready to hit the road.

On Good Morning America, Shania Twain announced that she will be doing her first tour in 11 years.

However, it will also be Shania Twain‘s last tour, she said.

Shania Twain said, “This is a very, very important time on the road for me. I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”

Shania Twain kept saying that she will be 50 this year, but each time she said it, it was harder to believe.

With her giant hair and perfect skin, Shania Twain looks younger all the time.

When Shania Twain was asked what her strength has been through her musical career, her cheating husband, and her messy divorce, she gave a lot of credit to her fans.

Shania Twain: First Tour in 11 Years is Final Tour

Shania Twain announced her first tour in 11 years on her website Wednesday. She also announced on Good Morning America that this will be her final tour.

“I’m finally, after 11 years, I’m going back on tour,” she said. “It’s the after-party tour. That’s how I see it. It’s the after-party to all of these years.”

“This is a very, very important time on the road for me,” Shania Twain said. “I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang.”

The ‘You’re Still the One’ and ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman’ singer recently completed a two-year residency in Las Vegas. Like Britney Spears and Celine Dion learned, doing a residency is a lot of work.

Shania Twain called her residency a “huge mountain to climb,” and admitted she relied on two very close friends–Lionel Richie and Gladys Knight–for help when vocal challenges got the best of her.

“They were just so encouraging and basically told me to get over it,” she said. “[They said] ‘Get back on the microphone. You can do it.’ And they were right.”

Shania Twain hit it big with her 1997 album, “Come on Over.” It remains the best selling album ever by a woman and the best selling country album of all time. If fans are disappointed that this will be Shania Twain’s final tour, their disappointment will be somewhat relieved when they learn she will release a new album shortly thereafter.
