  • John Wayne Gacy Probe Solves Cold Case

The disappearance of Edward Beaudion, a 22-year-old Chicago man who went missing in 1978, had been a cold case for decades, until his remains were finally identified via DNA that was collected to establish potential victims of notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

In 2011, Beaudion’s family submitted DNA to Cook County police after the department called upon relatives of missing persons who may have been victims of Gacy. John Wayne Gacy, Jr., also known as the Killer Clown, was convicted of the sexual assault and murder of at least 33 teenage boys and young men in a series of killings committed between 1972 and 1978 around Chicago.

Here is a documentary on Gacy, also known as “Pogo the Clown”:

Beaudion’s remains were discovered in 2008 by a family hiking in a forest preserve, though the DNA his family submitted wasn’t tested until 2013. At a press conference Wednesday morning, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart commented that the DNA was a match to Beaudoin’s body. Beaudion’s sister, Ruth Rodriguez, said, “I can’t understand why (he was killed). I’ll never get any answers for that, but at least putting the cross out there we have somewhere we can go and pray and connect with my brother.”

Beaudion vanished after borrowing his sister’s car in July, 1978. The car was found three weeks later in Missouri, and a man named Jerry Jackson was arrested for its theft. Jackson had confessed to killing Beaudion, but was never charged because Beaudion’s body was never located. Jackson died in 2013, before charges could be filed against him in Beaudoin’s death.

Sheriff Dart and Rodriguez both suggest that those with missing relatives nationwide should submit DNA samples to authorities to help identify bodies.

  • Jeffrey Dahmer’s Childhood Home for Sale

Jeffrey Dahmer’s Childhood Home for Sale

The boyhood home of notorious serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer is on the market in Northern Ohio for $295,000. The Dahmer family moved into the house in 1968, when Jeffrey was eight. A decade later, Dahmer lured a hitchhiker to the property, killed him, and buried his remains on the wooded lot.

Commenting on the three-bedroom house on a wooded lot in an affluent neighborhood near Akron, present owner Chris Butler stated, “If you can get past that little problem, you’ll have a wonderful place to live.” The home had been previously listed two years ago, but failed to sell. Realtor Rich Lubinski said this was due to a depressed housing market and its macabre past.

Butler bought the house in 2005, and insists he was drawn to the wooded lot, and commented, “The fact that it was Jeffrey Dahmer’s house was not an attraction. I am not a ghoul. I am not interested in the supernatural.”

Here is the trailer for the 2002 Dahmer biopic aptly entitled Dahmer, featuring The Avengers star Jeremy Renner:

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, a.k.a the Milwaukee Cannibal, committed the rape, murder and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Many of his later killings also involving necrophilia, cannibalism and the permanent preservation of body parts. Upon his capture in 1991, Dahmer was diagnosed with having borderline personality disorder and was deemed fit for trial. He was sentenced to fifteen life terms, and was beaten to death by a fellow inmate at Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin in 1994.

Lubinski has been getting calls daily about the former Dahmer property, and reminds potential buyers that the “house never killed anyone.” Lubinski revealed that about half of the callers don’t care about the home’s history, and the other half are immediately not interested. The realtor added that the property isn’t open for tours. “This is not a museum,” he said.

  • Missing Person Group: Craigslist Killer May Be Lying

Craigslist Killer Miranda Barbour may not be entirely truthful in her shocking recent confession to local police, says Seeking Alaska’s Missing, a local missing persons organization.

Barbour’s claims that she belongs to a satanic cult and has killed so many people from Alaska to Texas that she “stopped counting at 22” just don’t match with the numbers, says the organization.

“Based on the research we have conducted, we are not putting much stock into what this woman has claimed. We remain skeptical at this time until further proof is given,” the group said in a statement to FoxNews. “Our focus at Seeking Alaska’s Missing is finding the missing and, unless they have not been reported by a family member or friend, the numbers simply do not match up.”

According to WNEP, Barbour said of the confession, “I feel it is time to get all of this out. I don`t care if people believe me. I just want to get it out.” She said she had been sexually abused at 4 years old, and that she only killed “bad people”.

Dr. Dammer, head of the criminal justice department at the University of Scranton, said of Barbour, “Often you have young women who are abused or maybe they were prostitutes or they were raped by husbands or family members, who turn the tables and do this kind of thing. That’s happened in more than a few occasions. That would be the case when you have younger woman.”

19-year-old Barbour and her husband of three weeks, Elytte Barbour, 22, are both being held on charges of first-degree murder in the November brutal slaying of 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara in Sunbury, Pa. LaFerrara reportedly answered a Craigslist ad to have sex with Miranda for $100. Barbour said they killed him after he gave the wrong answer when she told him she was sixteen.

He said he wished to go on with their illicit rendezvous even though she was a minor. Barbour told police that they would have let him live if he would have called off the deal when he found out her supposed age.

Miranda stabbed LaFerrara as her new husband strangled him from the backseat where he had been waiting. Miranda Barbour could face the death penalty if convicted in the murder of Troy LaFerrara.

In the shocking jailhouse interview with The Daily Item in Sunbury, Miranda Barbour said that she had been killing people since she was thirteen years old. She also indicated that she could pinpoint all of the victims’ bodies on a map

  • Serial Killer May Be On The Loose In Virginia

Residents and officials in a Virginia town are fearing the worst after mysterious shooting deaths began to occur again after a decade, the most recent being last Thursday when a 59-year old woman was killed in her home.

Police in Alexandria say there is a possibility that the man responsible for the most recent killings–that of Ruthanne Lodato last week and Ron Kirby in November–is the same man who shot Nancy Dunning in her home in 2003. Because all of the shootings happened within two miles of one another, authorities say they are looking for a connection between the victims, but are having no luck.

A police sketch has been released of the possible gunman, who was described by a victim who survived in Lodato’s home as an older man, balding, with gray hair and a white beard. He was wearing a tan jacket when Lodato was shot.

As of now, Alexandria Mayor William Euille is loathe to call the murders the work of a serial killer due to the worry that residents will panic, but former FBI agent Brad Garrett says it is a distinct possibility, given the similarities of the crimes: each occurred in the late morning or early afternoon, there was no sign of forced entry, and there is the matter of the closeness in proximity.

“When you’re dealing with somebody, if this is one person, this is a very troubled person. And they can go dormant for a while before they reactivate,” Garrett said. “So is it conceivable that one guy did all three of these? And the answer is yes.”

The victims’ only connection at this point is that they were all fairly well-known in Alexandria; Lodato was a music teacher, Ron Kirby was the director of transportation planning at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and Nancy Dunning was the wife of late sheriff James Dunning.

Nancy Dunning’s daughter, Liz, said she was shocked and saddened to learn of Lodato’s death last week.

“It’s heartbreaking there is another family that is experiencing this type of loss without answers,” she said.

  • Joanna Dennehy Admits to Serial Killings

“I have pleaded guilty and that’s it.”

Joanna Dennehy, 30, a former middle-class teen who ran away at the age of 15, has pleaded guilty to murdering three men and then dumping their bodies.

According to the London Telegraph, Kevin Lee, 48, Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, and John Chapman, 56, were stabbed within days of each other. Lee was found in a roadside ditch on Easter Sunday. Slaboszewski and Chapman were found by a local farmer four days later at Thorney Dyke, a remote location.

Standing by her boyfriend in the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, commonly known as the Old Bailey, Dennehy also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of two other men, leaving the courtroom and her lawyers stunned.

“The course of the arraignment is not one we had anticipated,” said her barrister, Nigel Lickley QC.

“I’m not coming back down here again just to say the same stuff,” she said, objecting to her barrister receiving more time to check her guilty plea. “It’s a long way to come to say the same thing I have just said.”

High Court Judge, Nigel Sweeney said, “She has pleaded guilty to a large number of counts, clearly intentionally, and in the circumstances if there is to be any application for a change than I will consider it but otherwise she has pleaded guilty.”

Dennehy, Slaboszewski, and Chapman were said to have lived together in a house owned by Lee, a property developer and family man.

“He was a wonderful husband, father, loving brother and son. His naturally infectious personality touched everyone who knew him,” said Chris Wilson, a friend of the Lee family. “We have no idea why he would be targeted or what has happened.”

Toni Roberts, a former tenant in the house, said that Dennehy, Slaboszewski, and Chapman had been served an eviction notice and had to be out by April 29.

Two other defendants, Leslie Layton and Robert Moore, appeared in court on Sunday by videolink. Both had previously denied helping Dennehy cover up the stabbings and hiding her and her boyfriend while the police searched for them. Dennehy’s boyfriend, Gary Richards, denied the two attempted murders and three charges of preventing burial.

  • Green River Killer Offers To Help Police Find Bodies

Gary Ridgway, the “Green River Killer” who was convicted in 2003 of the murder of 49 women around Washington state, said this week that his victim count may be closer to 80 and that he’d like to take a trip with police to the sites where he believes more remains can be found.

Ridgway says that law enforcement kept him in a vehicle when he originally showed them the sites, and that he wants to be able to walk the areas on foot in order to better help officials on a quest to find several more unnamed victims. Ridgway pleaded guilty to 48 murders after DNA linked him to the crimes, and admitted to a 49th in 2011. When he was arrested, he claimed dozens more but couldn’t be linked to those through hard evidence; he also claimed that he’d killed so many he couldn’t keep track of them all.

“I killed so many women, I have a hard time keeping them straight,” Ridgway said.

Ridgway said he targeted prostitutes–or women he thought were prostitutes–and had a goal to kill as many of them as he could in the ’80s. The violent spree rocked Seattle and surrounding areas for years, until he was caught in 2001 through advances in DNA testing.

“The plan was I wanted to kill as many women as I thought were prostitutes as I possibly could.” Ridgway said. “I thought I could kill as many of them as I wanted without getting caught.”

  • Serial Killer: Head Newly Linked to Joel Rifkin

Many murders go unsolved, and many murderers are reluctant to reveal the extent of their crimes, even when they have no hope of being released from prison. This week, New York police have revealed that a severed head found in 1989 has been linked to one of New York’s most notorious serial killers.

According to an Associated Press report, New York state police have revealed that a woman named Heidi Balch was likely serial killer Joel Rifkin’s first victim. The 25-year-old’s head was found on a New Jersey golf course in 1989. She, like most of Rifkin’s victims, was a New York City prostitute. Police cited physical evidence and statements by Rifkin in making their determination that Balch was murdered by Rifkin.

Joel Rifkin is believed to have killed more than a dozen women from 1989 to 1993, most of them prostitutes. He was convicted of nine of the murders in 1994 and sentenced to 203 years to life in prison. He is currently serving his sentence in the Clinton Correctional Facility in Clinton County, New York.

  • David Alan Gore: Execution Set For Serial Killer

Florida rapist and serial murderer David Alan Gore has been sentenced to death for the 1983 murder of 17-year old Lynn Elliot and will die by lethal injection tonight at six p.m.

Gore is responsible for the rape and murder of four teenage girls and two women, acts he committed with his cousin Fred Waterfield. Gore eventually led police to the site where he had buried the remains of four of the women–a Florida orange grove in which he worked– which were dismembered and stored in drums. After officials found the bodies, Gore admitted he was responsible. Prosecutor Bob Stone says the murderer had “devil eyes” when he spoke about the heinous acts he’d committed.

“I looked in his eyes. If the devil had eyes, that’s what they’d look like. They were red in the center. It was like a fire had come out of his eyes. You could see all the way through `em,” Stone said. “That was the strangest sight I ever saw. If there is a human that’s got the devil in him, he’s it.”

Residents in the small town where the murders occurred, Vero Beach, have been waiting for this day for a long time. The parents and families of the victims wonder why it has taken so long for a decision on Gore’s fate to be made.

“For us it’s been a nightmare, because I just turned 81. I was beginning to think that I might die before he went,” Carl Elliott, Lynn Elliot’s father said. Now, that fear is abolished with the news that the man who brutally killed his daughter will meet his punishment. The Elliot’s–along with the other victims’ families, will be present for the execution.

“He looked over at us a couple of times in the trials,” Carl Elliott said. “And if we can make eye contact with him in there, it would be great. I’d like to.”

  • Peruse Through The Home of the Skyrim Serial Killer

It looks as though there is a serial killer running rampant in the world of Skyrim. Some collect horses, armor, books… you know normal everyday items. This guy on the other hand collects the bodies of decapitated female companion characters, and keeps their heads on a shelf.

The gamer has uploaded a video of his “Trophies” to YouTube with the title “Skyrim sex life, as if it couldn’t get any creepier. Check out the video below and tell us what you think.

Kotaku reached out to the uploader of the video and asked: How did he come up with the idea?

hey, I wanted to marry more than one woman but I couldn’t :/

They proceeded to ask: Why did decapitate, strip and post them?

oh well, one thing lead to another. I ended up with a bunch of headless corpses in my house and I thought I might as well pose them. I suppose I was inspired by the Hannibal movies.
